My grandmother's house is next to the Deanwood metro station , I have been living there after her passing for the last 7 years . I grew up on Quarles st as a kid till my parents moved to Glenarden in 74 . I know that area very well . I have bought ribbs from the Ebony inn during the day and at night when I see police parked across the street or in the parking lot at the Ebony Inn . The name of the barber shop was Loius & James . Louis died from a heart attack and James had a stroke , haven't seen or heard about him since the place burned down . I was talking the other day with one of my trusted regulars and she told me that she had got treated for gonorrhea 3 times now and that the doctors told her that there is a super strain going around and the doctors no longer have any medicine strong enough to fight it. They warned her that if she catches it again they won't have anything strong enough to treat her with. A rather belated report on two encounters from late last year.
