IIRC it began when they annexed that pet of a Buford Hwy to Chamblee. New ordinances. Loss of permits over bullshitty bullshit. Just becomes a costly PITA with all the lawsuits. RIP.But why not just move to a new city that's more friendly to this type of business? If they are as popular as it seems then I'm sure their loyal customers would follow them. Plus it's not like a little extra drive would mean anything seeing as everything in this state is spread out. Or are most cities here putting out this bs making shit not worth it?

If it's just a simple matter of relocating, they would've already done that and avoided all the court stuff.
Follies got too large and built an even larger notoriety for its crowds and activities within. Taking its name to another location in Atlanta area would just bring different eyes to its business, but the fight would continue. The only option they had to stay open under the Follies name was to acquiesce and adopt their business model (contact, alcohol, etc). So the Follies name is done. Best to try out a business under a new name.
But it would not BE Follies. The bubble of nudity, alcohol, late hours and lap dance contact on the main floor gets smaller every year. Few cities and states allow all at the same time. The few places in Atlanta proper that do ARE NOT supposed to. That's where we get into which clubs are strictly air dance and which are not or, to translate, which follow the rules and which do not.

Follies was by far the best strip club that I've ever gone to and I've been to the "best of the best" all over the US. The Follies Vets went during the day. Night shift was completely different, but never once did I feel unsafe there. LOL at any of those other clubs being anywhere close to Follies's level. If you think that you probably weren't doing something right.

Late, but here's the explanation:
The former main dayshift manager at Follies is now the dayshift manager at Diamond Cub on Northside.
He organized a farewell party primarily for former Follies staff and dancers (but also customers) to be held at Diamond Club. That party took place Saturday, September 26.
He began announcing it a couple weeks prior on his Facebook page. There was also an "after party" strictly for staff and dancers at Club Zoo.

He later posted casual photos from the event.

Did the prices for a lap dance go up? I've been going to clubs for almost a decade and it's always been $10 for a dance on the floor. On my recent trip to Pink Pony, they were still $10 but the girls made it clear to my friend and I that customers are expected to tip an extra 5 or 10 per song. I don't mind tipping extra if there's a good amount of "friction" and I'm having a good time with the girl, but I'm not paying $15 or $20 for a 3 minute lap dance where the girl is 2-3 ft away throughout the dance. Hit Oasis a few weeks ago. No corona virus there. No masks no social distancing nothing. Business as usual.

15 year lurker here who felt compelled to offer my advice for those struggling in these times with no Follies.
Now that Follies is gone, I felt compelled to post this for those looking for that fix!
I will start this off by saying, you never had to go to follies for action. Now mind you, I went to follies weekly so I'm not better than anyone, however, I got my dick wet every time I went but never paid the house fee!
This is my anecdotal guide to getting extras at any strip club (with one caveat, I don't do white strip clubs, just not attracted to white women)!
Rule 1. Respect their humanity and hustle- I've rarely ever got into an altercation with a dancer. The biggest thing this does is remove you from the cheap patron section. If a girl asks another girl about me, she'll say, "he don't like bitches like me but he gave a dance or two. " This goes a long way.
Rule 2. The Bartender- Take about 30 minutes before you get a dance and chop it up with the bartender. Get a couple drinks and tip her well. When the dancers approach you at the bar, they always look to the bartender for validation of your tipping skills. If you have two or three drinks and tip the bartender $30, she'll let the dancers know you're not cheap.
Rule 3. Pants- I strongly suggest never wearing jeans to the strip club. Wear track pants or a heavier pyjama pants (I prefer the latter because pyjama pants have a dick hole and you'll need to be easily accessible if you want extras on the floor.

A bit ballsy, I would only start with it out with dancers I have seen before. But I got to tell you, right when GR reopened it had been a long time since I had a release, I had a new dancer and by the 4th song or so, it was unzipped and she knew it. By the 6th, I had it out and she did not care. Pulling your dick out with a girl you don't know well is a horrible idea. Saying it upfront to a girl the first time you meet them is an equally bad idea in general. 2) As someone who traveled a lot, it was clear that the quality and quantity of those in the entire adult industry was falling before COVID. From 2013-14 on, the improving economy, camming, and increasing legal restrictions had made a huge difference in the overall experience.
3) Look, most women don't enjoy this business, at least in places where more than a standard lap dance takes place. There are the hardcore druggies who will continue no matter what, and the relatively few lookers with whale regulars. But several of the best dancers I've stayed in touch with have found the could survive financially without it, and are likely at best simply to be occasional participants.
There will likely be a short-term renewal of interest. But for things to really recover, business models must change at the very least, to make it financially worthwhile for the quality, non-drug addled dancer.

After reading these reports I was inspired to venture there Wednesday. I arrived at the club at 3 pm. I was surprised the club was in a nicer area than I anticipated. The property crimes in that area are well above National average, but I saw Soccer moms jogging solo less then 2 miles from club so I guess it can't be to bad. Upon arrival I observed a female officer in full uniform in a unmarked car in parking lot. She made contact with door guy briefly. Pretty large parking lot no fee. At the door the security dude was wearing a full flack jacket 3 sizes too small. His gut was creeping out. Made contact with door girl. She checked my I'd and gave me a pat down waist and legs. She did not check upper torso I guess no one uses a shoulder holster. $10.00 door fee. She asked me if I had been there before. I advised no. She walked me in a gave me a very brief tour. . The club has two bars (and two floors.) The bottom bar was where the action was almost at. The bar on the ground floor was mostly dead. They have two bathrooms. I haven't been to strip clubs in many years due to the smoke, but shortly after ATL banned smoking, COVID shut every place down!Unfortunately, every club I've been to in the area is heavily filled with smoke. I always take a change of clothes, LOL.
I try to find the ones that fit my taste, build enough trust with them, and then we them outside the club.

In town on business. I made it Folly's once late afternoon prior to covid. This week I am limited to evenings. Any recommendations for white male? Reading about Wax, Blaze, etc but haven't been and don't know ATL area very well. Prefer something near airport or south but willing to drive.Fannies and Club Wax are about 15 min from the airport. I haven't been to club Wax but Fannies is more of a "regulars" spot. If you're a regular you'll get a lot of attention from the girls. Every time I go there I literally have to go up to a girl I like and ask for a dance. They'll either be sitting with their regulars or sitting in those black chairs on the side of the room, bored as hell (the "I don't want to be here" look), playing on their phones. Don't know if you'll get lucky in VIP. Again probably if you're a regular or if you pull out plenty-a-cash. If you're trying to release your nut you have a better chance picking up a streetwalker walking around the area.

I been to 7 different strip clubs in 4 different states since covid hit, 3 in hot lanta and 2 in sc several times. I acknowledge covid is a thing and for some people catching it would present substantial health problems and depending on what news story you read you may suffer from it for the rest of your life. With that being said I am amazed that it would scare off any regular strip club customer. I read what you guys do in the VIP. Where you recklessly put your lips and other parts. Especially at the busier clubs in Atlanta. When you are the x number guy with her in the VIP on Tuesday and you are neck deep in that peach with no concern, but scared to death of Covid. I am not judging and I think everyone should look out for their health but I am just perplexed. With the social diseases, open needles and potential violence that can break out at any club is not a issue. But a disease that we will all probably get any way (if you have not already got) has everyone slamming on the breaks. The main club I go to in sc I. Would say there has been a up tick in customers (mostly because all other places are closed or have very strict covid rules) the clubs I been to in Atlanta the crowds have been pretty heavy. And dancers are plentiful. I have also observed a increase in making it rain. The club I most frequent a dude throwing 30 plus dollars at the stage was a rarity prior to 2020. In 2020 it is now a several times a hour thing. I am not sure if guys are spending more at stage cause they are scared to get a dance because of covid Or if they have more cash due to the extra 600 bucks from uncle suga in the unemployment checks. Just my observations. Stay safe.

We then tested after we got back jut to ensure.
What is not being broadcast is that people with 0-Neg first and then O-Pos are the least likely to catch it and if they do are most likely to show little or no symptoms and least likely to die from it. Guess my blood type??

Spent yesterday and today and here's my experiences:

Parking is 15 or 20 and door fee is 20. When there at night, lot of folks don't post that. You paying 40 just to get in. For 20 more you go get a quick visit. FYI.Sometimes you got to weigh your options though. Do you want to get off (QV) or do you want female company for a while (club). But I personally would usually yield to the QV or even an economical Hhr.

The daytime experiment seems to be struggling mightily. Have not heard about this other club down the road a few blocks.

They fleeced me for a $10 cover at 3 pm. All the staff I encountered was friendly. The club is very big. 2 floors. Drinks were $ 10.00 (hard liquor) . Good mix of customers. Good mix of dancers. (.). Mostly black, cuban (And white. Saw several lap dances going on. The grind seemed in effect!

Decided to visit Vlive today to see for myself. Maybe it's because it was a Tuesday, but it was pretty slow. But there definitely were a few girls worth spending tone with. Had a VIP with Mariah. CFS worth once. I probably won't repeat since she wanted to rush it. A QV would've been much less, LOL.

The girls were scarce and not worth it IMO. Ones I would never approach outside a club. I went back another time and they wouldn't budge on the cover so I left. Wax is just a stone's throw away and I've only been disappointed there once, but that's because I let junior do the thinking (my own fault).

Oasis just doesn't see to have the right vibe for me. I've stopped half a dozen times or so before and I always get this uninviting vibe. Don't know that I'll need to visit again.
