I've always paid half--if you hit it off with the girl, she won't watch the clock. Mamasan may knock, but usually only after an hour. And if you pay for an hour and are, ahem, finished early, trust me you won't get use of the remaining time.
Interestingly, though, I think what you pay in the door fee (hour, half hour, or using the CL coupon) at Royal might affect your negotiations with the girl. I had one girl asking me how much I'd paid in door fee. Seemed the magic number for door + tip had to equal $200, and if I'd paid a higher door fee then she would have budged off her tip demands. Which makes me wonder if the girl has to kick back a portion of the tip.
I've been to a million AMPs over the years and have tried it both ways. It is definitely a YMMV situation. When the girl really likes you, it's not too busy, and the mamasan is laid back, you can stay for a full hour even if you pay for a half. At other times paying for a half means you will be rushed through. It almost always means a very rushed table shower. I generally just pay for an hour because I like a good table shower and like to take it slow and enjoy. I have never been rushed out before the hour is up when I've paid for the full hour. If I finish early, the girl will usually fill in with a little extra massage or something.
Of course, I only go to well-reviewed places, am polite to the mamasan, and am always super nice to the girls. It's important to do all of these things. There's a certain AMP-Karma. If you are decent and compensate fairly, you will generally have a much better experience. That's especially true for repeat visits.
About the tip question... Yes, the girls have to give back part of the tip to the house. One of the girls told me once that she had to give back half. I was really surprised. If you spent $200 at an AMP, the therapist is probably only getting $70 of that and the house is keeping $130. That's part of the reason I never try to low-ball. My experience has been that most places are going to get $$ out of you between the hourly fee and the tip, so I just go in with that in mind. The two exceptions are Gold, which wants a lot more, and Ocean, which will take a little less. I generally don't do hard negotiations. I don't visit these places so often so I'd rather not risk a bad attitude just to hang on to a 20. That's just me.

I've been to this place a couple of times. $25 for an hour of foot and back massage is a truly great deal. The therapists are very skilled and obviously have had training in Asia. You won't get anything else besides therapy here, so don't even try. Just enjoy it for what it is.
According to AJC web site, Clayton County sheriff Victor Hill -- the guy who shuttered all the AMPs about 18 months ago -- lost (!) in the runoff. Looked like he was going to squeak through, but the last precincts pushed him out.
Be curious to see whether the AMPs try to sneak back in after November, and whether the next sheriff views shutting AMPs as more important than fighting real crime. Stay tuned, folks.That's great news. My stomping ground is closer to Clayton than north Atlanta so maybe we'll get some AMPs back.
My experience has been that most places are going to get $$ out of you one way or the other so I just go in with that in mind.The last AMP I visited was Garden Health about four or five years ago (that was a great place). It seems the price was half of today's going rate. I guess that's adjustment for inflation.

I've also had it where I paid for an hour and I got 1.5-2.0 hours; at that place, would not have gotten bonus time with the half, I don't think. There's pros and cons to both depending what you want, and how well you get in good with the gang.

I went to Royal after work on Monday. They seemed pretty busy. I had never been there, but said that I had several months ago. I told the Mamasan that a friend had recommended Gina. Mamasan informed me that Gina was busy. Since I did not want to wait, I accepted Rose, who seems neither young nor old, and cute but not spectacular. Went to Chi Massage today at 1961 Buford Hwy, Buford GA. It's across from the Post Office. Paid .6 for 40 minutes and a 40-ish Korean gave me a thorough TS, then back to the room for a pretty good massage. I got more than 40 minutes and when she said she was finished, I begged and pleaded for a HJ. After much hesitation and guiding her hand to the right place, she finally consented. Went there last night myself around 10:30 pm. I asked if I could get an hour massage and they said no problem although they close at 11 pm. I was half drunk when I went in so was half asleep throughout the massage. At the hour point she asked if I wanted to stay longer and said it would be .3 for an additional 30 minutes. Keep in mind the menu says it's .5 for an hour and .7 for two hours, so she was trying to pull something on me, wanting to charge me a total of .8 for 1.5 hours. I asked if she would include a HJ in that and she said, "Boss will not allow it," so I said I would not allow her to overcharge me either. She didn't understand that, so I got dressed and when I was about to walk out the door she asked for a tip. I told her I'd never been there before and didn't expect to pay a tip. She said, "Not even $10? $5?" I wanted to explain in front of her boss that she had tried to overcharge me behind the curtain, but I probably won't go back so didn't bother.

A local bail bondsman contact (don't ask) informed me last night that he's been very busy of late - they've been on a tear for the last 3 weeks, primarily for massage parlors, but they are so slick about finding people and places that everyone could stand to be a little more alert. With it being in the rear of a busy / upscale strip center right in towm made me think it could be an appointment / internet booking only place with a website.

Well, I generally operate under the assumption that if someone had been there, they would have posted about it. If there are no posts about it, then it's virgin territory among us in here and it's up to me to check it out.
Now, of course, I realize that's not always going to be true; someone may have been there and NOT posted about it ... but I see that as less likely than the former.

Visited Mirage today. Kind of a different setup. Some guy was cutting hair in the front.
Manager/receptionist asked me to wait and after a few minutes too me to the back and told me to take off all my clothes. I responed by asking which girls were available.

If this is Chalet you're talking about, I went there a couple months ago and had an okay HJ but wasn't that impressed. No TS and a lousy attitude from all. Maybe things have changed.

I drive to Savannah twice a month and stop in Macon for some tension relief. Since Macon has been shut down,I decided to try Royal.. Went to Olympic tonight and noticed the open sign was off, and "Spa" was taken off the door. The main overhead sign was still up, but the door was locked. Went to the new Hot Stone Massage place on Pleasantdale (and I-85) the other day. I had some aches & pains that needed to be worked out. Met by really old mamasan, led to room. I was under the impression this was a dsicussion board. I simply shared an experience I had as I thought that was the point. No need for people to make accusations about how people were treated. I am glad that many of you have had a great experience with Rose. She does seem very nice, but overall, I was disappointed. People are free to make there own decisions. I have been seriously into AMP's for the last 15yrs and have been through those I could find in Augusta, St. Mary's, Macon, Newnan-when there was one, the southside was the best ever before they all got shut down, I even slipped into Olympic before they were closed, I have NEVER paid more than 100 for FS. The main problem with the whole market-setting argument is that a tiny fraction of mongers even come here to do research in the first place, so I'm not confident that a gentleman's agreement here to cap price ranges will have a real impact on market prices.
It's akin to me getting together with the member of a Porsche Enthusiast's club and us all agreeing "great damn cars, but overpriced". So we decide we're not paying more than $80k for a 911. Fine... problem is, we're about 1% of Porsche buyers, so we have no actual pull with the marketplace.
We all have our own comfort zone. For me, at an AMP, it's $200 total (room plus everything else) for an hour. For something like a CL girl, it's $150 for an hour. For a "high price escort" - a real GFE with skills - maybe $300 an hour or so. Famous PS I've jacked off too in movies (Lily Thai, for example) I'll go to $1k just to cross her off my list (I have a contact in the adult industry trying to set me up with Charmaine Star... I'll certainly do her for $1k, for example). I am very aware of what I can afford.
It comes down, of course, to why we monger. For me, it's just a luxury, but I think for some it's more of a "necessity" - that's why price is such a critical issue. It's an old, old argument that is never, ever going to die.

No haggling required.
This approach has been especially successful in places that are not AMP just regular massage places. They are so usd to guys asking for HJ or BJ and then haggling that it is probably refreshing to hear someone just appreciate a good massage. This approach has been especially successful in places that are not AMP just regular massage places. Price. Everyone has their limit. Lets compare to cars. You can't buy a Porsche when you have the budget of Honda. Or some have the budget of a cavalier. But lets face it. All the cars get you where you need to go as in all the girls get you to bust. We all have our own budget and we should operate within it. If I only have 200 a month for a payment I won't be in the Porsche dealership hagglin. My ass will be in the chevy lot making a purchase. We all know certain spas are high. Gaghoes and some of you others may have overlooked some important issues which come into play whenever we try to analyze the economic issues affecting AMP's, the kinds of girls working there, what we may be charged, etc.
First of all, when you go to an AMP, you are really dealing with two separate entities. These are the ownership and possibly a mamasan who represents the ownership and manages the spa for her (or him). Then there are the girls who work in the AMP and who provide the services to the blokes who patronize the shop. The ownership and the providers are two financially and economically independent entities.
Although the "girls", as we may term them, work at the spa, they don't work for it. They work for themselves. What the girls charge (or try to charge) the customer has very little to do with what the house charges for entry into the place and for the introduction to the girl.
Both players in this game (girls and owner) do realize that if the girls charge too much, patronage may go down and in fact may dwindle to nothing. The owner will then have to find some sucker to buy the business and try to make a go of it. Eventually this spa and others will move to another town where conditions are more favorable to the industry and the town will be completely or nearly spaless.
On the other hand, if the girls feel that the town and its inhabitants can't support the prices they need to charge in order to survive, they will go to another town and, again, the town will experience a dearth of spas. But they girls and the owners do not normally collude with one another to set their prices so that, say, the owner decides what the girls will charge.
There is some cooperation between owners and girls, but it may only extend to the owner having a broker call a particular girl and ask if she (the girl) will come to a particular city and work in a particular spa. If she agrees, she will go and work there, but only for as long as she feels it is in her interest. When that is no longer the case, she will contact a broker or her friends who work in different spas in different cities and find a place where she thinks she will be happier or (more likely) make more money. This is normally why the girls move from one spa to another. Normally the broker will recommend a "Korean Taxi" who will pick up the girl at the spa where she works and deliver her (at a high price) to the place where she wishes to work.
There are many reasons the girls use this method of transportation. One may be that they are undocumented and do not desire to use public transportation. Another reason may be that many of the girls don't know their way around or that they are not confident enough in their English to navigate the public transportation system.
The point is that the girls don't get moved around in the way that many people believe it happens. While the girls may have debts that they must pay off, they are not really slaves in the way that many people think. They are, however, people in debt who feel a strong impetus to service their debts. Many of them feel that they have no choice but to work in the massage industry because it is the only one in which they can make the money they make. A pretty girl who does not mind providing good service may make as much as $100,000.00 per year. This is untaxed income. So they don't make what some people think they make, but the do make good money.

I understand where you're coming from, Lex, but I think you're grouping them all together too much, as these operations aren't homogeneous in the way they're run. Even culturally, I've seen different types of Asians working in these places (and there have even been reports of non-Asians).
I don't think any of us will ever know exactly how AMPs work behind the scenes, being outsiders and all, but I'm inclined to believe that there's more interaction between the "management" and "talent" than your report would imply. It seems perfectly logical for some of the owners, if not most, to charge the house fee, and also collect a percentage of what gets charged for "extras." I believe I've seen reports from individuals who'd cozied up to AMP girls of this being the case.
Perhaps you're more right than I am, perhaps not. It simply can't be confirmed definitively, and THAT'S the point I was making. Those questions I asked in my post were just that - questions that can't be answered without intimate knowledge of MP ops, i.e. ownership. This is why it's so idiotic to pontificate about what paying "too much" can do to the AMP "market."
You and I are on the same page I think, but we can scroll down a couple reports (directly under yours) and see examples of the titanium, logic-proof retard helmets some our fellow posters wear. You and any other customer has to use your discernment to determine what is appropriate at any given time and with any given provider. This issue has been beaten to death on the D.C. board. Some people just don't understand economics.

But usually they have some really fine girls for even cheaper then AMPs. 150 for 30 and 200 for 60 and usually most give doubles at 60 (not all). But the looks of the girls are hit or miss. I have been an off and on mongerer for years now, but I have never tried an AMP. I guess they have always seemed too expensive. But after reading so many good things about Royal Spa I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

Does anyone know anything about Star Cuts in Grayson? It is in the strip shopping center between Kroger and Riverside Pizza. Behind McDonalds and Taco Bell. I've been there twice to get an actual haircut and both times I wondered if they offered anything more. The front half of the store is setup just like any other strip mall hair cut place except that I didn't see any cosmetology or haircut type licenses. The back of the store appears to have 5 rooms or so each with a door on them. Reminds me of the AMPs I've been to. Both times I've been there, there have been 2 asian women cutting hair. Neither was dressed provocativly, but both appeared to have above average bodies. One of whom was wearing some very nice fitting jeans. Had I not had my son with me today I would have tried to ask, but I really don't know how to ask that question at a place like this. To piggyback on Nite's review, I almost went to that place. I can't remember the name of the spa but they had their grand opening recently and the $15 off coupon almost roped me in. Instead I chose to visit blue spa of off buford hwy. The place is small but not bad. Only saw one girl and her name was Pinky. Not the famous pinky we've all heard of. She was in her high 30's and was a classic butterface. Very nice body. Opted for the 30 at $40. Gave a decent massage but she coughed alot which was really attractive. This place has been reported on at least 3 times already. I posted one of the reports a few weeks ago. Does anyone know anything about Star Cuts in Grayson? It is in the strip shopping center between Kroger and Riverside Pizza. Behind McDonalds and Taco Bell. I've been there twice to get an actual haircut and both times I wondered if they offered anything more. The front half of the store is setup just like any other strip mall hair cut place except that I didn't see any cosmetology or haircut type licenses. The back of the store appears to have 5 rooms or so each with a door on them. Reminds me of the AMPs I've been to. Both times I've been there, there have been 2 asian women cutting hair. I skipped all and returned to Midori on Buford Hwy. There I was treated fantastically by Jade, whose personality simply can't be beat. Opted for the half hour at .45 and the hand treatment for .80. The TS was phenomenal, and Jade is very obliging re requests for unusual positions, activities.
She stimulated me so effectively that my pop shot over her head and hit a lamp in the room. I said, "That must be some kind of record." She shook her head. "No, customer last week hit that poster on the wall" which was another three feet away. Sure enough, you could see a watermark on the poster. I don't know why she couldn't just let me think I'd produced a record-breaking, long-distance pop, but there it is.

Long time lurker, first time caller. My track record, though somewhat sparse in comparison to others, goes clear back to the World Health days.
I visited Ocean a couple of times before it apparently went downhill. Mina was decent, but Cookie rocked my world. Any idea where she is now?
I have the itch again after not having a session for more than 6 months, I certainly want to get the most bang for my buck (no pun intended). Any recommendations for good looks, fantastic attitude and reasonable rates? Royal seems to be the best bet, but perhaps I should consider something else?

Went to Reju Spa this past Friday and then headed out of town so I couldn't post right away. The experience at Rejuv was, to say the least, terrible. I went in just before lunch and was greated by a chuncky black female at the window. Paid. 5 for half hour and was asked the usual questions. I had been there before when it had first opened but I couldn't remeber the name of the person I saw. I opted for the TS which was ok. Pretty good attention to the back door and twig and berries. The massage "girl", Susie, was a Korean in her late 40's with what looked like fairly large naturals. Otherwise, nothing really impressive about her. She appeared to be the only one their besides the other girl at the window. We went back to the room and she started a decent massage with a little chit-chat. After about 10 minutes, the first girl stuck her head in the room and said something. Then Susie left the room for a couple minutes. She came back, said "sorry', and resumed the massage. After the flip, she massaged a little more and annouced "massage is over". I pointed to the little head and she shook her head. I said "No handjob today? " and she told me I should go home for that and we don't do that here. So I promptly got up and put my clothes on and left. Needless to say, my last visit there.

Ok, have some info to share and gonna request some too. I tried out Mirage 1 in Sandy springs. I made an appt, I arrived an no therapist was there. They had to call one in, she didn't speak english. She showed me a peice of paper with all of the body parts on it and asked when I wanted worked on. She started off weak, and took a call on her cell during the massage:.(I figured what the hell and asked if she was wearing a thong, that broke the ice. She then started getting a little more friendly and offered full service to my suprise, I went for a HJ, which was descent at best but she took the pop on her tits and face. I tried Midori today since it has been getting so many comments. I must say it was good. It is in a newly renovated shopping center on Buford. They gave me Mia. She was many 40 years old and very trim with natural boobs.
The TS was very good with lots of attention to the right areas. The massage was not all that great, but sensual.
.4 plus $ was left on the table. Didn't get passed the BBBJ. I erupted like a volcano. I never got to the rest. It may have been the best I have ever had. It was so unexpected.
I probably will return just for that activity. Overall, a solid 8 experience.
