I started mongering while living in Atlanta in '92 and for most of the next 10 years -- before I moved back to Michigan -- the ATL was indeed AMP Heaven. The AJC sports section advertised an astonishing number of them. I can't give you numbers any more, but they were a hell of a lot, and Clayton County was generally the best part of the metro area. I remember in the mid-90s at one point, counting 50 that I'd been to, about 90 percent good quality (all weren't open at the same point, but most were).
