This immediately turned me off and I didn't want to risk having my first mongering experience ruined by LE possibly cracking down.
This all went down around 1am-2am. I'm guessing there may have been some trouble either at 939 or another bar on the strip. Does LE regularly patrol around AMPs? What's a good time to walk the strip and avoid LE presence? I was tempted to go back later (around 3am-4am), but by the time I got home, I just decided to call it a night. I'll save my first for another time I guess.

Dude, not to beat point to death, but you mention LE a lot while driving around buzzed. First, if you're in an AMP during a bust, I've rarely heard of the John's going down... HOWEVER, if you get stopped while DUI, you go to jail. Just a word of advice, if you are buzzing and you see LE, do not circle back around, get clear of them. Going home was a good idea.
A better way to prep yourself for AMP visits is to whack off once or even twice before going. Don't worry, the girl will get you up again and you'll be able to fuck her with the stamina of a male porn star.

There are many AMPs in locations other than Keeaumoku Street. (Love Tractor previously posted in this thread a helpful map of AMP locations, which you may want to review.) So if the presence of police around Keeaumoku Street concerns you, then you can simply try AMPs in other locations.
Regarding the driving of a car with "a good buzz going," I would agree with Hypo Luxa that it's unwise.

Who were you going to ask for at PT? What kind of route were you going on? It's good to have it planned so that 1.) you don't waste your time, 2.) hit up the places that you KNOW have the hottest chicks and 3.) you have alternates lined up in case of LE presence or empty AMP's.

Yes, if a person is found to be in the "highly intoxicated driver" category (defined as .15 or above), the Hawaii DUI law provides for increased punishment.A lawyer told me what to do if you are that drunk. Refuse the field sobriety test, because you are going to jail anyway. They can use the field sobriety against you in court. They can even bullshit and say you were stumbling around and couldn't even walk. Do not take the breath analyzer, take the blood test. Because hopefully the nurse is not in and they will have to call em in. Hopefully you wait a couple of hours to sober up.
There are 2 things that they prove in court that you were drunk:
1) The field sobriety, eliminate this one and they only have the blood test. And they can really bullshit this one. It's your word against the cops word and who do you think will win?
2) The blood results, for this one, well, get a lawyer if you are border line. If you are screwed, then ask for a deferred sentence.

Any LMT who is that concerned about her reputation/license should know that she is taking a risk by providing extras. If a LMT is that good, she would not need to provide extras to keep clients/acquire new clientele. If you look at what this board is called, one would think members would be interested in finding which "therapists" DO provide extras...but then again, many people lack that thing called "common-sense".

Legitimate providers may do extras for people they trust and have known for a while, but if new people come in expecting extras (whether they've read it on the board or not), they WILL start to get leery and stop providing extras for everyone. It takes time to earn the trust of a legitimate provider, and, yes, I think those willing to invest the time and money should reap the benefits. FYI. Just so that the rest of you are aware. There are those of us who frequent licensed massage therapists in Hawaii and for quite a long time now on a regular basis. Several licensed massage establishments have been busted and shut down and/or the owner imposed a fine as long as the LMT whom was caught is dismissed whether you agree or disagree with this fact. True, it is the LMT that provides extras that is soley accountable for their actions. True, it is also the LMT's discretion whether to trust that a monger that has received extras uses discretion whether or not to post such activity in a public or private forum. Fact is that there have been numerous LMT's that have lost their licenses and/or dismissed from the MT. True, it is a monger's responsibility to respect the privacy of the LMT's actions since the monger and the LMT both have an implied agreement via monetary remuneration to ensure such privacy is put forth and in compliance. Bottomline, show a little more respect and discretion otherwise your valued hobby will be under more scrutiny from not only LE but also the neighborhood board members who also lurk on these sites. It is not a matter of whether they have not done anything in the past or now to address the issue. It is a matter of when they finally make the decision to do it and let's hope that you nor any of our fellow mongers are not impacted by such publicity whether or not the law has reason to detain, fine, or uphold any written statute. I do not think any of us who have defended the ideals of protecting the LMT's privacy are doing it for selfish reasons. Those who allegedly receive extras from an LMT allegedly know how to ask for it compared to an upfront request of "Do you provide extras?" or "I would also like a happy ending." It is in the end truly referred to as a gentlemen's hobby. So be a gentlemen and be respectful especially with an LMT. Do as you wish at an AMP where it allegedly might be okay to act as most noobs allegedly do. Enough said. Commercial break is over. Happy mongering folks.

Woooooo it's getting hot in here! This is always an emotional subject, because the girls who are licensed are generally in it for the long haul and it's usually their only means of making a living.
The only things I have to add are the following. I have been getting massages for a long time and have never had any of the woman I know, lose their license or go out of business. If someone knows a name, I would be interested in hearing about them. I'm not a lawyer or LE, so I can't say for sure, but I can't imagine any of these postings are admissible in court or to the state licensing board. I also know that so many of Hawaii's finest, frequent these places, so there are no surprises. I'm sorry, but there really aren't (ain't?). LOL! If someone did lose a license, got fined, or had to dismiss someone, it's only because they got caught in the act. They gave extra's to someone they should not have, not because of what was posted.
There are a few woman that I will not talk about, only because over time we have become friends. I can't bring myself to discuss what happens between us on a board. Just a personal choice and I don't judge others if they do.
The internet is an unstoppable source of info. You cannot stop information on the web .. IMPOSSIBLE! Trying to hush people on a thread/board will not work. I'm sure you are aware of dozens of other sources of intel on the web. Someone somewhere will post about them if they provide extra's. So I can't see wasting energy trying to hush another member or chastising them. I just can't.

I agree that AMP's don't normally give you any kind of real massage. My feeling, is that I enjoy the massage for the massage. The hj is a bonus if I get it. I just got the sense that the last poster was simply looking for a hj, and the massage was not very important. I could be wrong.

I had seen Apple on a previous occassion and I'm somewhat surprised by her rave reviews and following. She's attractive, but not stunning. I'd love to experience a genuine Japanese provider, but I don't expect to find one here working in an AMP.
I have had the privilege of experiencing ethnic Koreans who were raised in Japan and spoke fluent Japanese as well as a half Japanese/half Korean girl once in other states. These girls seem to have trouble fitting in with the "real" Koreans at the Korean AMPs, so they seem lonely. If you're nice to them, they'll rock your world.

That's part of it for sure. The other fascinating experiences I've had were with ethnic Korean women raised in Japan who worked in Korean run AMPs in California. Ok guys I just came back from Best Massage and here is my report.

I went to Top a few weeks ago (is that still the name of this place, I forget). I stopped there after going to Ace and and Fuji. For the blue pill, my doctor gave me a perscription for / and samples of the 50mg. There is a 25mg, 50mg and 100mg blue pill available.
I'm a pretty big guy (240 lbs. +) and taking 1/2 of the 50 works fine for me. I have taken over the past several years and the only side-effect I have noted was the flushing of my face and upper body that the general info lists.

Singling out one provider may provide a false sense of security if you avoid just her. Reading some of the articles recently on herpes, there is a huge percentage of the population that has it, many without knowing. And considering how highly contagious it is, I’ve got to figure that probably well over 50% of providers have it. It’s a matter of chance whether you encounter a carrier when they’re contagious, which isn’t all the time. Realistically, any of us who partake in this hobby should assume that we’re going to be exposed to it. That’s just an unfortunate reality that is easy to avoid until it taps you on the shoulder.
I’m not trying to bring everybody down, but it doesn’t hurt to think about the consequences sometimes.

I am a little curious to find out what type of herpes you have? And, some of the symptons you've been experiencing. Are you experiencing redness, itching, pain, or any type of outbreak? If you wouldnt mind, can you post some pics of yourself when you do have an outbreak, face pics are not necessary. If your married or in a committed relationship, what does he say when he sees one of your outbreaks and what on earth are you gonna tell providers when you have an outbreak?
I hope you just hang it up and call it quits! No need share with the rest of us.

I'm sorry, but that makes no sense at all. Better to see someone who has herpes than to have a false sense of security? Duh! Sorry, but your post sounds more like a disgruntled wife, trying to scare other hobbyists from P4P.
The statistics say 1 in 5 adults have herpes in some form. So your risk is probably just as great, during sex with your significant other, unless you have been married for years and have not played around.
Sex with anyone is risky.

And you don’t get tested for herpes the way you might for HIV or hepatitis. It’s only diagnosable during an outbreak, so you’d have to make an effort to see your doctor while you were having an outbreak.
Although I have no personal experience with herpes, it seems that there are some relatively accurate blood tests that can be used even when visible herpes symptoms aren't present:

If nothing else, you're helping the public health situation by limiting contact with someone known to have herpes.
There is nothing to be gained by anyone by your NOT sharing that information.
If I had such information, I would be sure to share it here to help protect everyone else. Do you think you're protecting the infected provider? Don't be naive! You're not doing anybody any favors and instead are promoting the spread of an infectious disease. What is to be gained by that?

I've been there twice so far and had to shower myself both times. They do have a table shower, since that's where they led me to shower myself. Both times I went, they were a bit busy, or rather, I should say that Bonnie was busy and the mama had me shower myself to save time. I had the impression that I could have gotten the table shower from Bonnie if I'd wanted to wait until she was available. I do know that many of these spas don't give table showers on your first visit. Apparenlty, our esteemed, enlightened, and oh most wise politicians have decreed table showers to be illegal as well, and that's a lot easier violation for an undercover operative to get than a prostitution bust. Went out tonight and it was frustrating until the end.

Although a table shower isn't per se illegal, it is illegal for a person who isn't properly licensed by the State of Hawaii to give a customer a table shower. Believe it or not, a person who cleans a customer's body with a table shower is supposed to be licensed as a "beauty operator" under Chapter 439 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. A person who gives a customer a table shower without such a license can be criminally punished by up to ninety days of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $100. Thank goodness that the politicians and police want to protect us from unlicensed table shower providers! :eek:

I doubt any of us have any specific, detailed, accurate info about STDs at Mika, or any other establishment. FWIW, I can't recall hearing anything recently on the boards about Mika, or any particular provider there.
As for the prevalence of STDs in general, there was a study done several years ago of providers in the various mongering venues: streetwalkers, brothels (massage/relaxation parlors), and callgirls.
The study was somewhat limited in that they could only rely on providers who volunteered to be tested, so they couldn't get a truly representative sample. However, what they found was fairly predictable. The highest prevalence of STDs was among streetwalkers, with the greatest concentration being in the cheaper providers of the inner cities, presumably because of rampant drug abuse. STD prevalence at the brothel level was very low, in fact, lower than the researchers were expecting. Prevalence among the callgirls/escorts they tested was virtually non-existant!
What stood out in my mind when I read about this a few years ago was that the researchers expected, and set out to find, a high prevalence of STDs, particularly HIV at all levels, but even at the street level, what they found was significantly lower than what they expected.
Keep in mind that the above is from memory from a magazine article several years ago. Things can and do change. Certainly, providers at every level have gotten STDs, so obviously it's worth keeping in the back of your mind. However, as far as Mika or any other spa out here is concerned, you're probably reasonably safe.
There is always a certain amount of risk in this hobby, but in this instance, I'd say you're reasonably safe. But on the other end, women get the raw end of the deal as they can catch it quite easily from an infected male.
Went to see Erlinda this weekend (second visit) Received the usual good massage but no release. She acted like she didn't even recognize me. I guess I have to find a new provider.

It is difficult to guess the risk getting infected when mongering.

elsewhere is clear that persistent condom use by the providers
is the key to avoid infections.
Studies in Germany have shown the STD prevalence in brothels is very,
very low. This is because of consistent use of condoms and the providers
get frequent medical check-ups. A study from 1990 of over 3,600 female providers in Mexico found only 0.4% HIV positive, but 25% have had STD at some point. About 60% used condoms consistently. What helped limit HIV infections was the fact that only 1.4% were IV drug addicts.
In Thailand (LOS), HIV infection among prostitutes rates varies with region,
from 40-50% in Chiang Mai (1989) to about 10% in Bangkok. The
providers in Bangkok have HIV subtype E, that is easier to transmit
during unprotected heterosexual sex than HIV, subtype B, which is prevalent in the US and Europe.
As long as you use protection for FS you should be OK, except for a
risk of herpes. I am still amazed that some providers agree to BBFS.
In fact, last time I was at an AMP, after a little BBBJ and DATY action,

I don't have much to add to what Myren, CA, and Hypo said.
But it is really true what Hypo said about female to male infections being less common. I was even told so at the Diamond Head clinic, when I went for a 'check-up'. But it does happen. I, for one, have been lucky.
If you're still paranoid but absolutely must partake in our hobby, use a condom for every part of the deal. And they say that washing yourself right afterwards has a slight benefit. Even if you're at an AMP, I've been offered chances to take showers afterwards, so if you ask, I'm sure they won't mind.
But other than that, do what I do and get yourself checked out once in a while. That won't stop your risk of infection, but for me, it gives me peace of mind - not before the results come back (that one week wait is torture!), but afterwards.
Now I just have one more thing to worry about. About a week ago on MSN news, they had an article about HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). They said it is a sexually transmitted disease, it doesn't seem to affect males except to make them carriers, and has a tendency to disappear many times in both sexes without any medical intervention. No outward symptoms.
So, what's bad about it? They say that the infections of women can lead to cervical cancer. I nearly s**t my pants after I read that. If I didn't misread it, the article said that in every case of cervical cancer in their study, the HPV was present. So it seemed to say that cervical cancer would not occur if not for HPV. Yes, this has been known for many years. HPV comes in a number of variants, all with at least some potential to cause cervical cancer. The good news is that the vast majority of the cases are caused by just 2 variants (I think it's 2...) and there is now a very effective vaccine for those two variants. The key is to vaccinate girls before they're ever exposed to the virus. There's a push to start vaccinating girls at age 12 for this. Unfortunately, some social conservatives are pushing hard against this because they believe that 1) their daughters will abstain until marriage, and 2) they cling to the misguided notion that by vaccinating young girls for an STD, that would encourage them to go out and have sex. We could make cervical cancer rare in one generation if not for this type of thinking.
I also second Hypo's post about male to female vs. female to male transmission of HIV. It's very difficult for a female to infect a male. Yes it happens, but only rarely. Some studies suggest that it usually takes multiple exposures to an HIV-infected female. Single-exposure transmission is possible, but it's extremely rare, and seems to require the male to have a cut, sore, or a current/previous infection with another STD. The person on the receiving end of the semen is the one most at risk. Partly, this is due to the physical design of the "plumbing." And partly, it's because of the concentration of HIV in various body fluids. In blood and semen, the concentration is usually high. In vaginal fluid, it's much lower. In saliva, it's extremely low. Also, saliva appears to contain something that tends to kill or weaken HIV, minimizing the possibility of transmitting it that way.
Bottom line: there is always some risk to this hobby, but that risk has been hyped out of proportion by people with an agenda. We each have to decide, for ourselves, how much risk we're willing to accept and then act accordingly. For some, very little risk is acceptable. Others can accept quite a bit. I respect whatever choice each monger makes.

Yes, I know my type of work selection does entitle all types of situations, so I'm I hope I am not giving off the impression that I expect this type of occupation to be treated at its best. Its just work. However, I do enjoy meeting and spending a lot of my time with sweet and respectful customers who show me the same respect! which gets me to my next point, is that my reason (s) as to my decision to work during the daytime is because my findings is because customers tend to be more pleasant and genuine (not saying none of the nightimers aren't! ) while on their work hours/breaks. But do it for you know why. LOL). If you're one of them who would prefer that, then look elsewhere or at least ask, instead of penalizing/rating girls who don't. Yes, there is an AMP located on the second floor of that building and it's called Ginger's (1694 Kalakaua Avenue, at the Fern Street corner). The entrance for Ginger's is at the rear of the building.
