Visiting your fair city for a week, rode the trail several times from the Riz all the way to Bradenton. Saw very little SW action. Had a SW named Whitney in the car but she was way too cracked out. Was watching the tube one night and happened to catch the Sarasota City Police Chief talking about the prostitution and drugs. I learned that there is a Prostitution Exclusion Zone ( PEZ ) from the airport/ county line all the way down Tamiani trail / US 41 . If a SW is convicted of prostitution while in this area she cannot come back to this area, if she does she will be immediately arrested for violation of this zone( trespassing ??? )

My week in Sarasota was the worst ever, the deadest street action I have ever seen in my 8 years, visiting about 6 times a year.

In the 12 Step programs they have a saying... don't hang around in a barber shop if you're not looking to get a haircut. If you like this gal and she meets your needs just drive a different route. I'm happy to report that the Sarasota trail was active last night. Multiple sightings from 18th all the way to the MacDonald's at the airport. The low-end girls were located around 18th and Cocoanut, while the better looking ones were at the areas around the Days Inn location.

It was a toss-up between St Pete or Sarasota...I went for the sure-thing and went to Sarasota. Does anyone have any info on this place? I stopped in this place once. It's decorated very nicely inside and they have a sort of menu of massage and aromatherapy items to choose from. T amp A, not to doubt you or anything but you must have gotten lucky there or something. I showed up expecting the same treatment and nearly got laughed out. This place is just like the rest of the massage parlors / modeling joints in the area. The door fee is a little lower than Japanese spa but the "rates" for things are the same. $100 for a HJ?!?! Trying to beat the forecasted afternoon showers today, I conducted a morning cruise along the trail. I was on scene at about 9:45 AM and immediately spotted a young brunnette WSW wearing shorts at Cocoanut Ave...not my type, so I passed.

I also spotted a small group of, what I think, as homeless folks with their small cadre of working girls with them. They were just out and about trying to get some shade from the heat and their early morning fixes. The girls looked like they all need decent showers, but they look and act like SW's as I passed by them.

I spotted Misty a few blocks south of Myrtle and did the pick up. She's 27 years old and use to bartend in the Fort Myers area. Misty asked $40 for oral and I told her all I got was $30. She accepted and off we went.

The session was average at best with no CIM...not even close to da Beckster's or Jennifer's caliber...but who is anyways, except maybe Janine and Terry. I snapped a few pix's as she got off the vehicle and as she was exiting the Shell by the airport. I dropped her off by 41 and 32nd.

Last week I saw a WSW on the little street behind Winn-Dixie (parallel to the Trail, just south of Myrtle)... she was a little chunky, on the short side, blonde hair, maybe late 30s, kinda rough-looking. I asked her if she needed a ride, she said "just give me a minute" and continued on her way to what I assume was a drug deal. I didn't see her again.

Afterwards, I saw a picture of Susan Schorpen in the news. (She's the mother of poor Carlie Brucia, and after that tragedy she was arrested a few times for drugs and prostitution, but in St. Pete, not Sarasota). Hard to tell from the one photo, but she looked a lot like the SW I saw. Anyone know?

Yeah, I spotted a sting operation this afternoon. The first phase was set up at the Mobil station at Myrtle, with the two Expedition Eddie Bauers parked across the street at the Winn Dixie parking lot.

I saw the hot decoy wearing the blue top immediately...she's hot! As I was taking my shots, a uniformed unit was conducting a traffic stop a few feet from her at the Mobil. Either she's a rookie or just a dumb blonde who kept on walking the stroll oblivious to the police activity behind her. What gave her cover away was when one of the vice cops inside the aqueous-green Expedition came over from across the street to tell her to kinda move away from the uniformed police unit behind her as not to compromise the sting to the regular public...so she and the other cop talked and laughed a little bit and and she proceeded to walk away from the uniformed cops who were still doing the traffic stop behind her. At that point, it was too obvious to me now...I observed all of it...since I was parked in front of her, but towards the side of the two Expeditions.

At about 6 PM, the sting team took a dinner break at the Subway. I didn't see them takedown anybody at the Mobil. After dinnner, the team moved to the Sarasota Mini-mart area. This time, the aquaeous-green Expedition (with the video camera) was parked at the mini-mart while the other Ford was parked across the street at the fast food joint. Again, they deployed all three girls with no arrests as I saw it. They finally left once it started to get dark, 8:30 PM. I have always wanted to snap a picture of a decoy girl - I finally got that opportunity today.

As far as I can see, she did not get any offers. As I saw it, the spot at the Mobil gas station during afternoon rush hour was a very poor choice for the police. Folks with common sense would normally shy away from picking up hookers at broad daylight in a relatively narrow street (Myrtle) with all these pedestrians and vehicles on the road during the height of rush hour. Only the boldest, reckless (and the stupidiest) of mongers would even attempt to conduct a pick-up in that situation, in my opinion.

That's probably why they had to rethink their strategy and relocate the operation at the mini-mart location. Still, to the experienced monger's eye, the activity was very obvious. The girls did not stray away from the camera's line of sight...they're relatively in the same spot. Given that officer's safety is paramount to their operation, I think they failed miserably in securing the number of arrests they were hoping to do. I haven't had the chance to check the website to confirm how many, if any, were arrested during that sting.

Nonetheless, these types of stings are really designed to nab only the most inexperienced and the dumbest mongers anyways. That area of the Tamiami Trail corridor has limited and poor surveillance angles needed for concealment and proper placements of the vice vehicles - lucky for us. I would recommend to any LE reading my report that they should consider putting their op at the airport area instead (Shell - McDonald's) where better options are available for their undercover units (laugh). A better and simplier suggestion is to properly conceal their two Expeditions (farther away) as not to compromise their operations.

On a different note, I spotted Gretchen as well. She was riding a bicycle and I kinda stealthily followed her to see where she lives. Gretchen was obviously wasn't "on the clock" at that time. I'll try to catch her in the next few days, time permitting.

Just happened to be there...I observed only the two Expeditions - one for the camera footage (aquaeous green) and the maroonish red as the take-down vehicle. They rotated the girls in 30-minute shifts.

I am just wondering where I can go without having to head north of downtown which is not that close to where I live and the longer I am away the more suspicious to my SO.

Picked up tracy near subway 12:30 AM. Only one out and that redflagged me but I have seen her before in the same area so I knew she was cool. I went driving Sunday at about 10 am and didn't find anything. I had to do some work down in Englewood and after I finished, it was about 5 pm before I made it back to north trail. I drove up to the streets just north of the KFC and there was a lot of people on the side streets but nothing panned out.

Took a few trips on the trail this morning starting at 8 am. Must have been a little cold, but I saw 2 WSW & 1 BSW. While visiting your area last week, I spent a few hours twice trying to find some company. I did my homework (RTFF, right?) and checked out most of the sites mentioned, one at a time. On Tuesday noon, appearently before LEO became active, I found a suspect on Central, between 11th and 12th streets. Know that PURE GAS station (Pump?, Garage?) on the west side of the street. I can cruise the stroll on any given day for 2 hours and see nothing

Speaking of pics, grabbing the pics off an adobe PDF is done this way.
Pull it up and use the zoom feature to make the PDF bigger without
distorting it. Minimize the screen and pull up your default photo viewer
by hunting in start/programs/accessories. select file / new and if given the choice, select jpg. I have windows 2000 pro so this will vary with your operating system. I actually use paintshop pro 6 - but not everyone has that. Pull the PDF up again and hit your "Print Screen" button. This will put your whole desktop on the clipboard. Then you can paste the desktop into the new photo. It won't all fit but you can move it so that the photo you want is centered. Then work on "cropping". Anyone needing help with this can PM me.

Short lunch break today. Needed to run to Bradenton/Sarasota line two lights past Bannana factory and across from Hess. There was an article in today's (Sunday) paper that Sarasota Sheriff tries to do a complete sweep of the TT every two weeks. Article said the girls are cleaned out, then they come back because they know the customers are there.

However, it is your right as a senior member to post wherever and whenever you like...I am just recommending that you post where you know what's going on. Telling me what not to do with the pictures that I take to share with the board is a no-no. It is none of your business. The location of his arrest is not that hard to find it's right on the trail in front of a plaza that now contains a Bed Bath and Beyond, Hooters, EB Games, Panera Bread. The reason you might be having trouble finding it is that it doesn't exist anymore. The club was torn down not too long after Pee Wee was arrested and in it's place a restaurant went up. I think although my memory might be bad I think it's a Dutch or Amish type place now. Shame the club isn't around it was a happening spot back in the day.

Easter around 8:30 PM, I am at Carolina and highland. Locked looks with a hottie and I am thinking Mary! She has a friend with her and she wants her to come along. I said only one. According to the arrest site, it looks like a major sting went down yesterday. I've never seen so many "soliciting another to commit prostitution" arrests in one day. I'm out of town at the moment, but anyone have 411 on how they nabbed so many mongers?

5 were nabbed between 11AM - 12:40PM
2 were nabbed around 1:25PM
6 were nabbed between 3:00PM - 5:00PM

12 of the "un-lucky 13" were nabbed in the "motel district".

The 4200 block is exactly where KFC / Sarasota Mini mart is and the 4800 block is where the Flamingo / Melodee is. Always felt bad Karma about this area - too many places for LE to hide.

Clearly, no SW's were listed = Sting.

As for the University And Witfield grabs, seeing that no SW's were listed, they may have moved the decoy around a bit.

She must have been something else for all that attention. I am getting the feeling that perhaps more than one was used in rotation.

The lunchtime crowd was obviously the target.

Hope none of the brothers here were involved. No doubt with all that LE activity, a Monger would have spotted it a mile away.

It's time to start reporting. Picked up Sunny (Ho Chaser's Sunshine) about a week ago on the trail not sure where but it was just above MLK. 25 year old Blonde, Prego, wearing a loose wife beater tank top with her titties hanging out. Sarasota has a large LE presence lately, but even still there are alot of SW out. They go out in spurts. Most action I have seen in past 4 days has been down by subway.

Yup. The old "I gotta get rid of her fast" trick. Never, ever tell someone you "changed your mind" - that creates conflict and the very situation you recently faced. Start fumbling around for your wallet - then get frantic like you lost it - start calling yourself "idiot" and "Moron" - then declare that you left the wallet in your "other pants". A bit of acting but immediately sends the message that "you have no money" without saying it. It works like a charm.
Just make sure you bury it before you make your pickup. If you get to the point shes upset with you and she wants out, better floor it before she has the chance to slam your door shut possibly breaking something in the door. So the actual line may be the bridge you pass over on 41
thats near the Gas station and the bannana factory.

However, University parkway divides the county line ( Sarasota / Manatee )
On 301 as you pass University you will see the "Welcome to Sarasota County"
sign when heading towards sarasota. So to answer your question, Pearl and 41 is on the Manatee County side of Sarasota.

This is why you will typically see "Manatee" Sheriffs cars in the Airport - whitfield area, as opposed to Sarasota.
