I saw a wsw on MLK a block west of federal in Pompano sunday night about 9:30pm. If she was in a different area I wouldn't even suspsect she was a sw, so she didn't look like a 90lb crack *****. Broward County, Fla. -- Police arrested and charged more than two dozen women on charges related to unlawful parlor practices in Broward County, police said.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office arrested 27 women, 18 on suspicion of prostitution and nine on suspicion of providing unlicensed massages, during the day shift. The operation, known as “Operation: Red Light,” was conducted after police received numerous complaints of alleged prostitution and unlicensed massages.
With assistance from the Florida Department of Health Division of Unlicensed Activities, police followed tips and gathered information on the suspects.
The BSO said 16 locations were swarmed, mostly massage parlors, and the women were arrested on charges of providing services not offered on the location’s service list.
According to investigators, two of the women placed advertisements in local publications and provided services in their homes.

Hollywood - The public cried out for change and city leaders responded with a new law to help deal with troubled motels along an urban grab bag called Federal Highway.
But efforts to clean up the 2.5-mile corridor through ordinances and task forces have been hampered by a faltering economy and legal risks the city is not willing to take.
So for now, it's up to a special police unit battling by night. The cops call it a frustrating gambit that never ends: the dealers and prostitutes they arrest one night are back on the streets, and in the shabby motels, the next.
Hollywood cracking down on the rundown, crime-plagued motels Photos "This is the cat-and-mouse game that goes on every night out here because of these cheesy motels," said Lt. Norris Redding, who heads the Hollywood Police Department's Street Crime Unit. "They are like magnets that breed crime."
For about a year, Redding's team has concentrated almost exclusively on the motels that line Federal Highway between Pembroke Road and Sheridan Street. The focus on crime along the city's main gateway comes in response to complaints from residents of the nearby Royal Poinciana, Parkside and Hollywood Lakes neighborhoods. Some results are quantifiable: 1,658 arrests in Parkside and Royal Poinciana in 2008 alone. About half of those arrested, officials say, have a connection to the motels offering rooms for as little as $35 a night. Some even rent by the hour.
Despite the large arrest numbers, the hookers and the dealers still return.
"Until you take the motels out completely, the prostitutes and the johns are going to be there," said Barry Stock, a Parkside activist.
In December, city officials handed the police unit a new weapon in the form of a tougher ordinance that makes it easier for the city to shut down a trouble spot through nuisance abatement. The unit keeps track of how many times they've had to respond to a location, how many times they've made a felony arrest — statistics that could be used to close the place.
But so far the ordinance has had little effect, and the bad economy isn't helping.
"What we've been doing is working closely with the owners to correct the issues without having to go to the full of extreme of a taking [a property]," said Joel Cantor, lawyer for the police department. "With the way the economy and the foreclosures are going right now, you have to decide if boarding up a large building in the middle of a neighborhood is the wise thing to do."
Or the legal thing. Hollywood officials openly admit to a fear of getting sued. State laws and court rulings tend to favor businesses over government, said city attorney Jeffrey Sheffel. Shut them down, and the owners could sue for every penny of lost profit after prevailing in court, he said.
The city's Nuisance Abatement Board has designated only three properties as public nuisances since 2005, and none have been shut down. The new ordinance allows officials to impose conditions on properties instead of taking them. For example, if police respond repeatedly to a motel, the owner could be forced to hire private security or install more lighting.
But there is no penalty, other than shutting down the motel, if the owner doesn't cooperate.
"No enforcement mechanism is perfect," said Sheffel. He said the chance of getting a judge to shut down a business improves greatly if the city gave the owner alternatives, but the owner refused to cooperate.
One of the properties officials are watching is the Iris Motel and Apartments on Dewey Street, just off Federal Highway. The motel has been watched by the nuisance board since 2006. That year alone, police went to the property 197 times, mostly responding to drug and prostitution calls.
Since 2006, the board has imposed a list of conditions the owners must follow to stay open. They include running background checks on all tenants, locking gates that lead to the alley and hiring a full-time security guard.
Local manager Walter Dodin said he has cooperated with most of the demands, and police calls at the Iris have steadily declined. But so has occupancy. The 48-room motel had 30 rooms available earlier this month.
"Look at this, I am empty," he said as he walked through the motel's hallway. "If they kill us, they are going to kill the entire neighborhood. Nobody wants to live next to an empty building."
New York-based Unique Property Venture Group paid about $2 million for the property in 2007, records show. With the recession, there's less money available to spend on improving the property to attract better tenants, he said.
Less than two blocks from the Iris is Richard's Motel, a well-kept lodge owned by Richard Clavet, who lives next to his motel. He rents primarily to French-Canadians during the winter season, and this year most of his units are occupied.
City officials have used Clavet's motel as an example of how businesses can succeed without renting to drug addicts and prostitutes. Still, Clavet thinks the city should focus more on going after owners of nearby rundown apartment buildings, instead of the motels.
"If you think things are bad now, wait until the economy continues to go down," he said. "The landlords will be renting to anyone."
Until the economy recovers, or the city comes up with a tougher plan, it falls back on Redding's unit to keep crime in check.
On a recent, quiet evening, word spread quickly that the police were targeting hookers along Federal Highway.
An undercover officer, posing as a john in a beat-up car, waited all evening to find a prostitute. Shortly before midnight he saw one near Johnson Street, and saw her pimp watching from across the street. When the officer pulled up to her, the man gave a signal. She quickly walked away to join her business partner.
From a nearby parking lot, Redding watched as the couple slipped into a convenience store, left with beer and disappeared into a room at the Super Budget Inn.
"Looks like they're calling it an evening" Redding said. "They know we're working tonight."
This is done during the busy season to try to clean up the area for good PR for the tourists. Done every year. So be careful out there for a few weeks. Use the side roads (17th and 19th Avenues). Legit (? ) hotel owners complain when they lose business and the PD jumps at an opportunity for good media coverage. Where are the police the rest of the year?

Pompano Beach: This is a track I have burned alot of gas on and had little to no success. I firmly believe that that is strictly due to my lack of knowledge of the route and timing. I have had a few experiences in Pompano and the SW's I found were unfortunately not the good ones, thought I know for a fact that there are good providers working there due to info from fellow mongers and general knowledge of the area. If you look through the Pompano forum you will find the route posted by either Luvahj or Northbound (both of these guys have great intel, BTW).
This, gentleman is what I know about Broward. Any feedback is welcome.
To add to Pachy's post people do urselfs a favor and steer clear of sistrunk at night. Nothing but CDs and undercover LEO I heard that there is a park by dillard high where a SW lurks but I haven't been able to confirm it.

Gotta be careful, last time I insulted LE, I got a $321 ticket, so let's not do that again.I won't deny having seen HPD light up many people down there, but as far as areas being consistent, this would be it, and in Broward is the first, best, and most obvious stroll. But I will agree that you must be very careful in this area as with any area known by locals and LEO for SW traffic.
You sure have posted alot of great adventures in Miami tho. Way more or to nothing compared to Broward. Let alone Hollywood where I used to thrive and mostly because I lived in that area and not only drove but walked and rode my bicycle there. I have scored more often on my tu wheels beleive it or not. I take because on bike I have more sense of the area and the SW.

So I posted my first long report on Miami, but since I find more action in Broward it's only fair I break that down too. Here goes.
Dania/Hollywood: Hands down, in all my time in SoFla, I have picked up the majority of HO's in this area. Starting at Sterling Road. And moving south along Federal Hwy (AKA US 1) all the way past Young Circle to Pembroke Road. I have lost count of the action in that area, not to mention that you can oft times find alot of SW's walking up and down 19th one block west running parallel to US 1. The best time to go is usually in the am around 9-12pm, though there is alot of night action too. Past Pembroke Road. You will end up in.
Hallendale: I used to find plenty in that stretch, but not so much these days, even though I found Khloe there last week. That strip is good from Pembroke Road. To Hallendale Beach Blvd. When it's poppin', it's poppin' and latley it hasn't been. Also been seeing alot of BTSSW's. That sucks. I watched the same shit happen in Atlanta when BTSSW's ruined the Ponce De Leon area.
Fort Lauderdale: From SE 24th (AKA St Road 84) to SW 12th used to be really nice, but over the years LEO has run alot of that action away. I still see straglers there from time to time, and years ago I used to get incredible action from some very nice providers for. 20 left and right. Now when I run into then there it is strictly chance.
Also I have seen a few running around late at night on Sunrise from Andrews over to NE 19th, but never anything that appealed to me, so I kept going. This area is not stocked with HO's, but from time to time they show up there.

I haven't been out much lately. Drove my usual area on US1 from Sheridan to Hallandale Beach Blvd around 5am this morning. Seemed like a little more activity than usual. I saw 1 WSW around Lincoln and 19th, and 2 WSW's on us1 between Lincoln and Taylor. They all looked a little rough, so I drove down to Hallandale. Saw 2 BSW's on US1 between Jackson and Jefferson, on the east side of the road. Passed. Finally, saw one more WSW a little east of Pembroke Road. Not sure what my deal is, but I passed on them all.

Last Monday Night:
Decided to make a long run through the county starting at 10th and Dixie.
Followed the whole route down Dixie, through MLK, Powerline, Atlantic, 31st, and back to nothing on Dixie. The Pompano Route was completely dry. Made my way to Federal and took it south through Fort Lauderdale and into Dania. Still absolutlety no action. Cruised down through Hollywood, did the usual loops, and continued past the circle and south into and out the other side of Hallendale, not even seeing one SW. This trip started at Midnight. Now it was roughly 1:15. Eventually found action in Dade on 79th, which the report is in the Miami Forum.
Tonight (Late Sat, Early Sun):
Decided to run through Broward starting at Sterling moving south through Hollywood around 3am. Saw nothing but LE everywhere like roaches. Did the loop and hit 95 and decided to give the Pompano Stroll a run but came up completely empty handed. By now, it's 4am and I'm tired and wanting to go home and crash but decide to run through Hollywood real fast. I go do the stroll and on my way back up I find Krystal just a couple of blocks south of Johnson on the east side of US1. I pull down the alley, park and wait, she comes up and jumps in. I can already tell that she is wanting to get high from the look on her face. She agrees to .25 for BBBJCIM w/Sp. Was in town on business recently and decided to check out the AMPs in the Sunrise area. CL showed 2 that advertise heavily, so I tried out the one with the table shower.
The place is a typical AMP, they all have the same basic set up and play the same music. Pay my. 8 and head to the room. Table shower is included, so how could I resist. You took it for granted that I am a retired NYPD. Not so. I just have a mini police badge given to me by a freind who was on the Police Force in New York when I lived up there. If you took it the wrong way, its OK with me and I would have thought the same thing. I should have been clearer about where the badge came from. It has saved my ass many times on traffic stops. I know that many LEO get serviced by SW and I agree with you about the legalization of prostitution but then the under covers would have to spend their time going after real criminals. I understand that they are looking for drugs and other illegal activities but if they regulated the trade and imposed manditory regular health checkups, they could issue permits for $$ and any violation would revoke them for ever.
