I need help brainstorming.

My partner is an accountant so she handles all things financial by default. It would make no sense for me to bother with it. All finances are shared and visible online. Historically, I've never gotten cash because I had cash on hand from my job. I would deposit a portion, claiming it was everything I had to keep hobbying cash around. With a recent change in employment, I don't have access to cash as easily.

Can anyone recommend creative ideas to get cash?

Credit card purchases are refunded electronically to the card. Cash back charges on our debit show when cash was involved.

If you do any home improvement stuff. Go to Lowes. Pay by Debit. Then return it. Or some of your purchase they will give you cash.

If you have direct deposit through work you likely can split the money between 2 accounts. Your regular account and a dark money account. If your paycheck is variable, start small and then bump it gradually. When you get increases, like a COLA, move most of it into the dark money account.

When you set up the dark money account, use a different address, like work, to get the debit card and opt for all electronic / online communication.

My bank puts a line item in when any cash back is done on a debit card purchase so will not work but thanks for thinking like that.

It would be obvious if I split out funds. I like the creativity though.

See why I'm at a loss for a solution.I know a dude that gets all of his Hobby Money from his luck at the Casinos and Track.

Do you get an "allowance" for just funds in yer pocket each week? How about lunch money? Skim from that, skip lunch, whatever.

Any odd jobs you could do around the community? Helping out elderly neighbors who are frequently grateful and drop a few bucks in yer hand?

If everything you do transaction wise is through a card, you'd have to go "old school" back to cash to be able to skim some funds. But if you both work, how come you aren't entitled to your own money, a chunk that you use to your discretion, without oversight?

So she missed stuff easily and the "dark money" approach served me well for years. And, given that I diverted raises and whatnot to it, it grew to a fair bit to support a SB and other hobbying.

I am now down to "sell your blood" level of recommendations. Or maybe just have an old skool affair. You appear to be on monetary lockdown. Good luck!

They just add the cash to your charged total and it only shows that you got change on the grocery receipt. I think you can get up to $100 per grocery bill.
