Been over here for about 5 weeks now on business. I've been trying out a few CL providers with various results. My worst experience was a provider at the Best Western, followed by the all-too common knock at the door from the pimp / boyfriend. My best was a total GFE, with a few inbetween.

Why don't the girls get out of those housing blocks and walk newbern, or another more open street area? I turned down one street and had some whacked out brother charging my car while another stood in the street with his hand in his pants, clinching a gun I'm sure.

Despite this, I lapped around the routes several times and did see some apparent strung out, hardened crack hoes. I never stopped. One was wearing a dress and her body seemed OK, but her face was a bit rough. I passed. Most of the girls were found in the E. Jones and Idlewild (i know now the street, sorry) I cruised during the daylight and could not imagine driving down those streets at night.

I have a question I hope does not offend anyone, but are most you fellow mongers brothers? Cause a white guy does not fair well down in those streets. I got hard looks, threats and felt like I stuck out like a red sore thumb. I won't be going back.

Another question........Anywhere else to cruise? How about Capital? This can't possible be the only area, is it? This is a big city, with lots of sprawl. Every city has street walkers and usually lots of them. I've never been in such a closed in neighborhood to monger like that and I've been playing this game for 20 years! I did not care for it at all.

Anyone who can share a nice, or semi-decent area to cruise? I'll trade the few nice CL contacts I've made since being here. There are some good ones, most are ripp-offs, so let us share.

The wsw known as "Kim" (reviewed on here somewhat positively) got her throat slit last night. I think it was fatal, but don't know that part for sure. My date referenced below said that our Uncle was making frequent visits through the zone as a result.

Though that's sad, I've got another random thought on the zone to throw out -

Does it drive anyone else crazy how people in the hood just walk in the middle of the street? Even with a car coming? Granted - I am saavy enough to just whiz around them, but damn. Yes, we get it- this is your territory and we are just guests. So do us the favor of getting the hell out of the road while we contribute to the hood's economy. :)

Not to get on rant. But I guess with Kim you live the street life you have that sort of end. Bless her. All you mongering brothers out there, be careful and show respect to people whose areas we frequent. Anyways but for real they need to get out of the road! The only time I have come close to coming to blows was down around bragg street on one of the sides streets, and it was almost on. Some guy just did not want to get F*cK out of the way, and only backed out of my way when I started to get out of the car. But I guess we all have to be careful. With things being tight for even those of us who can afford to partake in the hobby. We for sure need to remember that times are even tougher in the hood. Anyways yall I am gonna be taking a mongering road trip here in a couple of weeks so I should have some good info to report. My opinion of a couple of the questions on here.

GettingTang made an observation about the city the size of Raleigh having such a limited supply of quality SW... well actually a limited supply of SW period. This is frustrating for a city that has just passed Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Tampa, and Minneapolis in terms of population, city proper. Its the standard of living in Raleigh. We have seen all the lists, Best Place to Live, Best Place to Start a Business, One of the 10 Fastest Growing Cities in the US, Highest Number of College Graduates, and the most telling of them all, Best Place to Raise a Family. I have been to cities half the size of Raleigh with triple the amount of supply and half the demand. But they are poor cities, with low paying jobs and a lack of them. Times are hard in those areas and there is not just the addicts on the street, but the girl next door just trying to make ends meet. There are more girls and better quality. In Raleigh, there is some crappy waiter or hotel room cleaner job that they can fall back on.

Just take a look at the prices of the girls on CL. They adjust their price point depending on the city they are in. I have seen some of the same girls charge $2.50 in Raleigh, go to Richmond and charge $2.00, and then end up in Phoenix charging $1.75 for the same hour worth of service. There is more disposable income and less girls that are so desperate that they have to hit the street.

Another factor limiting the quality of SW in Raleigh is that the worn out street hags out there will run off any girl that starts working that looks better than they do. How many times have you seen a 7 or 8 on the SW scale with a black eye, or a tale about how the BSW jumped a WSW and told her to stay out the neighborhood. The only way they make it is to get a pimp or dealer looking out for them and we know where that heads. Two months later they look like they have been run over by the Amtrak!

As far as the fellas in the streets, it burns me up beyond no compare! Then I realized how easy they are to suspect that you are UC, until they see you a couple of times and figure what you are out there for. But most aren't smart enough to remember that far back. I began to take a line from Dr. Dre "Witness us as we creep to a slow speed..." This is not south central so when you drive through at an unusually slow speed, they know you aren't a gang banger, so that only leaves one other possibility, they think you are under cover. Try it for yourself next time and see how fast they decide to move. Of course it can backfire and the SW will take a wide berth around your car.

Just for the record though, if I ever do hit one of those fools, I am leaving the scene. Damn them! And if I get caught, I will swear he was drugged up and just jumped out in the middle of the road. I will take the chance of my attorney against one of Wake County's incompetent prosecutors any day. Can't even convict a drunken driver who shows up to court drunk!

Finally, which Kim was this? I hope it wasn't the one I met a few weeks ago. Hopefully it was Kimpossible, or Kim with the short dark hair. Sorry any of them might have been killed, but I'm not going to feign any emotional attachment to any of these girls. But I would hate it to be Kim with the long blond hair and tight little body. That's why I hate Raleigh's selection of SW. Can't keep anything good out!

Getting Tang - To the best of my knowledge, the only "hot" areas in terms of SWs are the two zones routinely discussed on here. Looking back through the boards, you will find reports of a random girl up on New Bern or Capital - but that's sorta like hitting the Royal Flush in video poker - ya just gotta be lucky and stumble upon that by accident. You can't really cruise for it the way you do in the zones.

Having said that - with a little bit of common sense - the 'hood is safer than it seems. I am a middle class white guy, fairly nice car - and often cruise with a dress shirt and tie on for my work. EVERYONE knows why you are riding around there, it's hardly a secret. This business is so organized that the pimps literally have the girls working shifts - so it stands to reason that they don't want customers getting hurt or knocked off, just for being customers. Obviously, there's a limit to that - you have to keep your head down and not go raising a ruckus in there.

My rules of thumb are - never stop for anyone in the road, just slowly go around them, don't come to a complete stop at stop signs unless our Uncle is present (and then follow the traffic rules to a T.), never offer a girl a ride if there's anyone within 50 feet or so, and don't ever park in the hood. Yeah, we stick out like a sore thumb, but that's just part of the deal.

What is funny is that even though I cruise 2-3 times a week, most of the folks in the hood still think that I am the police, even though they same guy in the same car giving girls rides. I don't mind them thinking that, as it may help me avoid trouble one day.

If you watch the news for a week or two it is most likely that you will see a shooting of some sort on a street you recognize from the zone. I work off Ellis rd near there and there are some very rough characters around there. I always keep my eyes opened in both Raleigh and Durham, but I am overly cautious in Durham especially after dark. Just be careful, especially if you are white and drive a nice car or look like you have money.

In reference to your last sentence, I have no idea. However, as someone who refuses to tour the hood I would be all ears as to what areas you're talkin bout?

I would not worry much about posting. We do reside in America and are protected by freedom of speech. LE really has to catch you in the act in most cases to charge you with anything. I am rather respecful towards LE and realize they are just doing their job like anyone else, although I have long disagreed that prostitution among consenting adults should be legal. I do understand why they often need to clean up the street scene, but don't think it is necessary to go after low-profile discreet indoor providers. Just my opinion on the subject. But really, feel free to post, nobody is going to come kick in your door for posting here.

I've noticed lots of walkers on Sandy Forks, but they never seem like pros. And I've seen a couple of sws on Six Forks and Wake Forest over the years, but never enough activity to consider them hotspots.

However every girl that walks is not a sw. There are many hispanic familys that live in the nearby apartments. Many share living quarters. They all don"t have daytime use of cars so they must walk. Many are quite attractive, Howeever I doubt they are street walkers.

Many working girls stay in the residential motels noth of the beltline . Some may walk but most do not.There are clusters of these motels but most of these girls are pretty wary that you might be LE.If you can somehow meet any of these girls, see them several times. Sometimes they will introduce you to theier friends.

Decided to cruise the New Bern corridor last night both sides and Wilmington. Saw three possible BSWs and one not so bad HSW. All were walking New Bern from Bojangles towards town in the four or five block section there. Did not really catch a look or wave but something was up. LE presence was moderate and had several gangbangers stopped at various locations. Nothing on Wilmington and worked the sides including Davie, Hargett, Cabarrus, State, and the rest and came home empty.

Again, she looks perpetually drunk, has obviously killed off a few brain cells, but gives a top-notch flute lesson and is truly a sweet person. There's no hardened street attitude there at all. If you see her, give her a ride, and a little extra tip if you feel the service warrants.

Besides that, I haven't really been in a mongering mood lately. It seems there aren't ANY new girls out, at least when I cruise during the day shift. All that gets me to stop nowadays are Deanna, or if I see someone brand new, which I haven't. Once you sampled most of the products on the shelf, the store isn't as thrilling until a new shipment of stock comes in.

From time to time, there is straight action to be had at the bookstores, especially the one one Capital. I have picked up working girls along that access road twice.

I'm not too sure about Cary but in my experience (as limited as it is) there is always the possibility of finding a part timer or a woman looking for cash. I would recommend checking the lower income areas of Cary (we all know they exists) probably around the end of the month when money is running short for most people.

I know of one area in Cary that is a long shot but you can find the occasional worker if you're lucky. In Raleigh I can think of two different locations besides the Hoke/Wilmington/Oakwood areas.

If you really want to be risky, look for truck stop areas or locations where truckers park overnight; often you will find several workers in the area.

Before I found this board, I had lived by TER and Big Doggie. I always new that anyone could post a review there, which is why I almost always wait for more than one review, or that the one person who reviewed her, has reviewed others that I know to be cool.

Now, everybody remember about a month or 2 back when that family got raided for the pay-at-the-door parties? Last word that I heard was that they were in collaboration to try to get some charges dismissed. It makes sense, but realistically, is not a felony, and if Jonny Law was gonna set that up, they wouldn't have let the "Big Raid of Sin" hit the news like it did.

Either way, I'm choosing to stay far away from there, because anything could be going on, and I just don't want any part of it, regardless of how nice an ass she has, or how great the service may be.

Anyways, I was on TER and ran into a New Review of Tiny, who just so happens to be the young one of the two girls. Normally I wouldn't think anything of it, but it bothers me that the reviewer chose those two off of CL, when there is plenty more, as his first review from this area. Maybe it's possible that I'm being paranoid. Maybe I shouldn't worry about it, being that I'm moving to someplace warmer in a month. I just want to put that info out there, and let you all make your own decisions.

Before I found this board, I had lived by TER and Big Doggie. I always new that anyone could post a review there, which is why I almost always wait for more than one review, or that the one person who reviewed her, has reviewed others that I know to be cool.

Now, everybody remember about a month or 2 back when that family got raided for the pay-at-the-door parties? Last word that I heard was that they were in collaboration to try to get some charges dismissed. HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Under the watchful eye of law enforcement in 40 states, Craigslist pledged Thursday to crack down on ads for prostitution on its Web sites.

As part of Craigslist's agreement with attorneys general around the country, anyone who posts an "erotic services" ad will be required to provide a working phone number and pay a fee with a valid credit card. The Web site will provide that information to law enforcement if subpoenaed.

Jim Buckmaster, Craigslist's CEO, said the deal will allow legitimate escort services to continue advertising, while providing a strong disincentive to companies that are conducting illegal business.

"We don't view it as a penalty, we view it as raising the accountability," he said. "A legitimate business should have no problem with that. They should have no problem providing a phone number or credit card credentials."

Craigslist filed lawsuits this week against 14 software and Internet companies that help people who post erotic service ads to circumvent the Web site's defenses against inappropriate content and illegal activity.

Craigslist, which posts 30 million ads every month for everything from apartment rentals to jobs in hundreds of cities, will also begin using new search technology in an effort to help authorities find missing children and victims of human trafficking.

Police across the country have been arresting people for using Web sites like Craigslist to advertise the sexual services of women and children.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, who brokered the agreement, said his office contacted Craigslist after receiving several complaints from users late in 2007 about photographs depicting nudity on the site. He said Craigslist cooperated fully and there was never a need to threaten legal action against the company.

"The dark side of the Internet must be stopped from eclipsing its immense potential for good," Blumenthal said.

He added: "I am fully convinced that Craigslist wants to stop this activity as much as we do."

Buckmaster said the agreement does not cover Craigslist's personal ads, where prostitutes have been found advertising for "dates." But he said the San Francisco-based company has been working with authorities on that issue and on cutting down on the sale of stolen merchandise on its sites.

"We are experimenting with telephone verification in those sections," he said. "We don't have any plans to use credit card verification in that section currently. But this partnership is going to be active in that area as well, anywhere where crime does or could occur."

The agreement was joined by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

"The criminals engaged in the sexual trafficking of children no longer parade them on the streets of America's cities," said the center's chief executive, Ernie Allen. "Today, they market them via the Internet."

The states that signed the agreement are Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. I have been out and about in Raleigh and Durham the last few months but not reporting everything.


Today around 1pm hit the 2 well known tracks in Raleigh and alternated cruising. It was pretty dead in terms of SW'S as well as LEO presence. I did see J-LO hanging by the Oakwood cemetary as well as Larissa and then Marie. Those 3 almost always seem to be out. Not to mention 5G'S on Bragg.

Hey fellas - I haven't posted much lately, but I have been a little busy.

Reading some of the posts about the AMP in Youngsville got me to thinking about the comparison with SWs.

When I lived up North, I was pretty much an exclusive AMP hobbyist. I rarely went with SWs. The AMPs in my city were legendary. Four words - body to body shower. :)

However, now that I am back in my native area, I only see SWs and haven't made the trek to Youngsville, even though I am a veteran of that scene.

What I blow on SWs in one month is only a little bit less than what one AMP session would cost. I think it comes down to quality vs. quantity. That and, the thrill of the hunt. I truly enjoy the window shopping aspect of cruising.

AMPs are probably a better overall value, but it's hard to discipline yourself off a weekly (or more :) ) pipe cleaning when you know you can get in and out in less than 30 min for $20. Well - I should say - it's hard to disclipine at the level of budget that I have for this hobby. :)

Reading the reviews from Youngsville, I may have to start putting a little aside, and forgoing a couple of SW dates a month to build up a little fund. I'll see if I can partake in both a little bit, rather than a lot of one or the other.

Does anyone else go back and forth between AMPs or SWs? Heck, you could substitute AMPS for CL girls and have the same debate. I've never used CL for a date, as I really can't stand getting ripped off.

The upside of the fact that I cruise so much is that occassionally, I do hit the jackpot. I'll go for a few weeks without seeing anyone but the old standbys, and then I get extremely lucky. Today was one of those days.

Found little Nina on jones this morning. She needs to be made very comfortable, which I did by taking a longer ride to a very secluded spot and telling her I'd buy her some food.

First my plans for the after holiday gathering fell to the way side due to some other issues. But to the report. I agree with Ake totally, it is much more productive to be overly cautious to the point of being paranoid, than it is to risk going into a situation that is putting a monger in even more risk than is normally cutsomary with the hobby. I actually went out into the Hoke/Garner Zone last week. And I saw someone getting pinched at the store on Garner and Hoke. 3 cruisers there, and they were talking with one of the local street pharmacists as it were. I belive I saw that blond that is spoken then also, and she was more than eager to wave me down. As a rule if a SW waves at me I do not stop. It is not because even worth it to get involved with someone that is not at least somewhat on their game, and not keeping things discreet. I actually had a SW severl weeks ago yell at me as I was passing by to stop. As most of you know out there, Goose78 does not roll like that. I think it is much better to be patient and have good intel so you can minimize your potential for an unpleasent trip. Ok, this is something that I've been wondering about for awhile, and I thought I would post it here and see what replies I get. Hopefully this could aid ALL of us in the future.

Have you ever been pulled over by uncle leo whilst in the zone? If so explain what possible excuse or reason you've given for being in an area that is known for visiting mongers. I was followed by my dear ole uncle the other night (it was LATE too) and all that went through my head was "what the fuck am I going to tell this guy? " LOL I'm sure we've ALL been there at least once, (its a shit feeling). He ended up turning away, but still it made me start to wonder what if. Are there some kind of laws that specify that driving thru a "bad area" is in some way illegal? Does it give them probably cause? In most areas if your caucasian (like me) you stick out like a third nut!

Have you ever been pulled over by uncle leo whilst in the zone? If so explain what possible excuse or reason you've given for being in an area that is known for visiting mongers. I was followed by my dear ole uncle the other night (it was LATE too) and all that went through my head was "what the fuck am I going to tell this guy? " LOL I'm sure we've ALL been there at least once, (its a shit feeling). He ended up turning away, but still it made me start to wonder what if. Are there some kind of laws that specify that driving thru a "bad area" is in some way illegal? Does it give them probably cause? I am not actually sure of the laws on the books in our fine state. But they would probably use some sort of loitering or public nuisance violation. But I think it is just tool they can use to justify to stop you and then talk to you about your driving habits. I for one have never been stopped, but I put that to always getting out as soon as I see any LEO at all. It is one of the things that comes with our hobby. As long as you do not have a "passenger" all you have to do is say you were driving through the area. Because here is the thing, as long as your tags are up to date, and you don't have anything questionable in your mongering vehicle, then really all they can work to pursue you on are normal traffic violations. And that is a waste of their time really, but I guess it is a deterent to some, but to each his own. To everyone out there, be careful my mongering brothers, and be in it to win it and not just to finish.

*FrankieI'm actually quite familiar and I know there are absolutely no laws. You could be lost. They can stop and ask you what your doing and you can tell them "taking a drive" and leave it at that. If you've been round the corner more than twice then they can question you further for suspicious activity but to actually bring you in and hold you is a waste of fuckin' time! They're not gonna do that also cause they can't.

Now, they can hold you for questioning for a day if your under investigation but that's about it. Remember, it's easier for them to find out what you're doing if you tell them than for them to actually figure it out themselves. Whenever in a situation with the fuckin' cops, always stick to your story because unless they actually "investigate" (read, break your legs) they won't find anything out.

It's really the same with escorts. In their ad it gave a disclaimer just like any other ad on TV that says "Do not operate heavy machinery while taking Ex, heavy diarrhea may occur! ". It doesn't matter who makes cookies, I like cookies and cookie time and in the add I found someone qualified to bake me cookies (read, female) so I decided I might take her up on the offer depending on what the cookie tastes like. She can just say, I wanted to spend time and decided to knock boots because those cookies were great! YUM!

Really, most of this stuff is common sense.

The first part is to make sure you follow all the traffic laws to a T. For example, last fall I spaced out and let my tags expire. I realized it one morning at a gas station near the zone, promptly left and did not come back for a few days until I had it taken care of. In sum, you don't want to give the cops ANY reason to stop you. Riding around a bad neighborhood is not a reason.

However, one good excuse to have handy if you really think you need one is to print out some real estate listings and google maps, tell them you are looking at properties.

With regards to the transaction itself - it's not illegal to offer someone a ride. Granted, I may not do it right in front of an officer, but they basically would have to roll up on your spot and catch you in the act to have a shred of anything on you. If that's a concern, get a better spot. :) If you are that unlucky, swap a few pieces of information with the girl the moment you see the lights, as they will separate the two of you to try and get the story. At worst, all they have you on is lewd behavoir in public.

One of the best values of this board is the exchange of information. The members on here know who the working girls are. When there is a new girl that I don't know about, I'll offer her a ride and if she gets in, that's good sign #1, as most undercover girls would not get in. Second, I say/ask something along the lines of - "those tits are really nice, can I feel them?" That may be a cloddish thing to say to a civilian, but it is not in fact illegal. There's no way an undercover lets you grope.

Last, I've got a few Raleigh specific thoughts; While I would never suggest that anyone be anything less than careful and vigilant, the fact is that the RPD doesn't really target the customers. When was the last time you read about a street sting? (I may recall one from about 3-4 years ago...)

From what several of the girls reviewed on this board tell me, the RPD is much more concerned with drugs and homicide. If they arrest a girl on prostitution charges, chances are the whole thing is trying to get her to talk about the drug trade and/or murders.

They do arrest the girls somewhat regularly. My favorite in Oakwood, Deanna, told me that she got picked up around the holidays by an undercover officer. Her experience was similiar to what I've heard from other girls - the officers will cross the line and arrest them despite the lack of a proposition, while they're in jail, all the detectives will question them about various other cases and then when the whole thing gets to court, the case rarely stands up because of the officers initial actions.

In sum, be safe, be vigilant, don't let your guard down. But as long as you do that, most mongers (at least here in Raleigh) have very little to worry about.

(And yes, I know that our Uncle read this. I don't care, as they know all of this is true. Heck, they probably know a few of our cars anyway.)

I actually have been pulled before for driving while white. The cop told me that he pulled me because my tail light was flickering. He really just wanted an excuse to check me out. See if I had a passenger, drugs, etc. The real reason he pulled me which he also asked me about, was that he'd seen me pull through the same street twice within a couple of minutes. My excuse was that I had dropped a friend off after work in an unfamiliar area and gotten lost on the way back. Did he buy it? No. But since he had no REAL reason to doubt me such as signs of drug use or a passenger, he let me go with a warning that he suspected I was looking for drugs (which is their main concern btw).

What I learned...
Be nice and repectful within your rights.- Most of these guys don't want to deal with the paperwork of a trumped up charge unless you give them a hard time.
Be minimalist with your explanations.- They'll ask you for details looking for inconsistencies in your story. The more you give the more you hang yourself.
"I don't know" works well if you're acting lost.- "I don't know where I dropped him off. We went through some side roads and he just told me where to turn. I should have paid better attention"
Be clean.- Don't pursue this hobby while even the slightest bit drunk or high.
Be intimidated.- That's all they really want. His goal in pulling me over was to scare me so I didn't go back. To give me that "Holy shit I almost got caught" feeling.
Plan your route.- I got pulled because I was seen too often in the same area. Yes you might have better luck circling one hot spot, but you also draw MUCH more attention to yourself. You're better off planning a route that lets you hit all the hotspots but takes you as much time as possible to complete a loop. Remember you don't want to look like you're cruising. You want to look like your passing through.

One thing I would like to know is what information about you gets recorded and for how long. If you've been pulled, but waved on without even a written warning, does that somehow get put on your record? Do I have to worry that some cop checking my plates a year from now could pull me over because I'd been pulled in the same area way back when? Anyone know?

No it's not illegal to drive through an area, even high crime and known drug areas and as long as you are not seen handing money to or receiving an item from someone you should be ok. However, if you are noticed cruising an area for an hour or so although not a crime you will come off as slightly suspicious. As a rule I cruise a zone a few times and leave for at least 15 minutes before returning and depending on the night if I do not see something I like in 2-3 circles around I go home.

Also, like someone else said it is not illegal to give someone a ride or to have someone in the car with you even if it is a stranger. I'm not sure how the probable cause would work out but I would imagine that if you are seen picking up a woman in an area known for prostitution and or drugs it may be enough for them to search your car. If that happens and she has drugs you will probably be screwed.

If you do get pulled, as I have been, just stay calm and remember to be respectful. Answer all questions with a sir or mam and if you are asked where you are going say that you were leaving a bar and wanted to grab something quick to eat. If you are told that you are going in the opposite direction or the place (try to name a restaurant if you can) tell the officer that you decided to save yourself the calories.

What a strange cruising day. I had some free time, but figured the cold would have everyone stuck inside. I picked up Shannon behind the fertilizer plant. Though there used to be one other brunette calling herself Shannon, this is the skinnier one who resembles Gabby.

Coming from a bar? So now you have really raised his suspicion. You are not obligated to say anything. The burden of proof is on the officer, not you. Loose lips sink ships. And why lie when you don't have to. "Officer, I'm giving the lady a ride" Afterall, that is what you are doing. You don't have to state what your intentions are, where too, or anything else. If he wishes to up the anty and arrest you for giving someone a "suspicious ride" let him. what he will likely try and do, is pull you and the lady apart, trying to match stories, search for drugs and so on. My response would be simple and to the point and truthful. "I was giving the lady a ride" His next question...."Where too?" My response...."I don't know yet as you pulled me over before we got to the where too." Did I do anything wrong officer by offering the lady a ride?" He will pressure you into admiting you know she is a prositute, all the while you need not respond. You have already asnwered his question, now turn it on him.....again, "did I do anything wrong officer?" Keep it simple stupid is to theme here. Do not ramble on about she is your long lost love, you met in a bar, you thought she was your sister, it is all insulting to the officer's intelligence and will lead to more prying and a possible arrest.

The first time back in Deecember, it was around 4:00 pm, still daylight and not too many cars in the parking lot, paid the video fee, and there was not too much Beef in the back as I kept my Distance LOL. The bookstore scene is really a matter of "to each his own". Yes, these places are primarily gay hook-up joints and they have many dark alcoves and corners where the action occurs. If being near or around that activity is something that would give you the heebie-jeebies, then the bookstore scene is certainly not for you.

HOWEVER - if you've got thick skin, can tell someone "no thanks" and move on, and can just look the other way as dudes hook up, these places can still hold decent action of both the free and pay variety.

We all know about the pay variety, but you'd be surprised at how many couples go to these places and either put on shows or gangbangs. Why, just this past Thursday night a couple was going into the ASC in Garner a few steps ahead of me.

I followed them and sure enough, they were putting on a show. The lady was probably early 30's, pretty eyes, brown hair, miniskirt and sweater with no uderwear. I got the chance to see every bit of her while she played with her partner in one of the theaters in front of everyone. We all maintained a respectful distance, got our eye candy and then they finished and left.

Other times I have been part of gangbangs or threesomes, though those are admittedly more rare than people who just want to show off. But they do happen. (I was just thinking back, I think I've participated twice in the last year or so.)

First I wanted to thank everyone for all of the useful information off the board. Everytime I go somewhere new these reports help out big time. I've been in this hobby for about 15 years now and been a long time reader but rarely posted so I'm looking to change that a bit.

Checked the usual haunts last night and saw 2 cruisers circling the Oakwood track as well as the big van sitting in a parking lot. Not a peep of action out that way. The Bragg/Hoke strip was about as bad. I saw one unmarked car basically doing circles in the hot spots. A few SW on that side of town but nothing promising and definitely not worth the heat.

I haven't seen anything in North Raleigh either but if I do I'll pass it on.

I think that going with a gut feeling actually stopped me from getting robbed on night. Your second theory is correct. A female LE officer will NEVER, I repeat NEVER get into a vehicle with a John. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever! In fact, it could be considered the LE check itself. If she is willing to get in your ride, she is not LE, if she won't then move on. Female undercovers will ALWAYS try and make the deal with her standing by your car. This is why you NEVER discuss the deal until she gets in.

I don't street monger, too much risk, hassle. I hate the whole drug, pimp, dealer, strung out scene. But this much I know from reading this and other forums.

I was out last night and ran into Tracy. As we've discussed before, she's a bit of a mixed bag. Her skills can be good, but you have to catch her when she's not strung out.

Fortunately for me, she wasn't, so she hopped in and we went to my spot. The date was so-so. I would not call her a rip-off, but I had to make her finish, she kept stopping. What she did was very nice, but she didn't have her heart in it and thought I'd let her get away with stopping before we were done. I nicely insisted that she finish and she did so.

There was finally some new talent on the track today!

This morning I offered an early 40's blonde named Irma a ride. She was behind the gas station on Branch. She's rubenesque, but certainly not fat. I wouldn't call her pretty but her features are pleasant. She had really pretty long blonde hair. GREAT natural tits. She was very clean, not street worn at all and smelled REALLY nice.

The funny thing is, just the opposite seems to be occuring. Prices are going up in an attempt to maintain the same income with fewer clients. If the economy stays bad long enough then you will see the panic pricing you had anticipated.

The economy is bad, but the Triangle is still doing comparatively well. We haven't hit the desperate levels that would turn women out on the streets in droves quite yet. Also, women these days have several different ways to go.

Consider, if you were a woman who was getting financially desperate and had never "worked" before how would you begin? Craigslist, adult networking sites, etc, all provide much better income, feeling of safety, and are a bit more anonymous than walking the streets. Many might even attempt going to bars, clubs, and grocery stores to meet men first.

The only advantages to street walking are closer access to your dealer, and instant gratification. The only reasons women will choose that route are drugs, or stupidity.

Yes a bad economy will put women on the street but I think it will be a long process. First women will attempt to sleep with rich men, then they'll start selling themselves where they feel comfortable. Next they'll begin to resort to drugs to get through the dates. Finally the work will become about the drugs not about the bills, and they'll hit the streets.

Also, those women who DO try the street to make their rent payments, won't necessarily be in the dangerous unsafe areas we're used to.

The economy is bad, but the Triangle is still doing comparatively well. We haven't hit the desperate levels that would turn women out on the streets in droves quite yet. Also, women these days have several different ways to go.

Consider, if you were a woman who was getting financially desperate and had never "worked" before how would you begin? Craigslist, adult networking sites, etc, all provide much better income, feeling of safety, and are a bit more anonymous than walking the streets. Many might even attempt going to bars, clubs, and grocery stores to meet men first.

The only advantages to street walking are closer access to your dealer, and instant gratification. The only reasons women will choose that route are drugs, or stupidity.

Yes a bad economy will put women on the street but I think it will be a long process. First women will attempt to sleep with rich men, then they'll start selling themselves where they feel comfortable. Next they'll begin to resort to drugs to get through the dates. Finally the work will become about the drugs not about the bills, and they'll hit the streets.

An excellent summation of the situation on all points Trailrun. The Triangle's economic condition is much better than even some areas in our state. A buddy of mine in the Triad is constantly reporting to me that pickings are far more numerous than Raleigh. This can also be seen by the prices the providers charge on CL. I have seen 2.00/hr rates in Raleigh drop to as low as 1.50/hr in other cities that are not faring as well in the current economic conditions.

But you hit it right on the head with warning to not get our hopes up as far as seeing more on the street. I have found that the girls that claim to just do this to make a few extra dollars are more than likely full of shit. Only drugs will lead any half decent-looking woman to expose herself to the dangers of hopping in the cars of strange possibly dangerous men, risking arrest, retaliation with the regular SWs, and the generally unpleasant company of the neighborhood knuckleheads.

Experiences like Canuck's are admittedly few and far between in this area, but definitely not unheard of. I have to admit that I have not been that lucky in almost 4 years now. I actually had the pleasure of my friend and myself putting her up in a hotel room for a week and rushing over after work everyday until we purchased her a bus ticket home. Oh the memories...

The economy is presenting opportunities though. So I played today.

You'll forgive me if I don't post too many details, as time and place would make it easy for the Uncles reading this to figure out who I am. But here's what I can say -

One recent evening in one of the zones, my Uncle pulled me over for a VERY minor problem with my vehicle. I had not offered anyone a ride, nor was there anyone around to offer a ride to.

I was calm and thanked my Uncle for alerting me for the problem with my vehicle. He asked me a few questions trying to ascertain what I was doing in the zone. Satisfied with my answer he said to be careful in that neighborhood, yada, yada, yada.

All in all, it was fine, I knew I had done nothing wrong. Frankly, it was good practice.

My only small concern now is that my Uncle may now know my vehicle. But, the time that I was stopped is not a time that I usually ride through, and my schedule over the next several days prohibits much riding around anyway, so I am probably good to go. If anything, I'll probably be extra careful on my route.

Lessons for fellow mongers, that even this veteran monger needed a refresher on -

1) Keep EVERYTHING on your vehicle in tip-top operating condition. Don't give the slightest reason for legitimate stop.

2) Not that this applied to me - but don't have any other situation going on which may compound the reason you were pulled over - such as alcohol on your breath, open container, etc.

3) If pulled, stay calm and plainly state why you were in that neighborhood. You do know why you were in that neighborhood, right? :) Your reason must stay consistent through a few different questions.

Remember - all that Uncle has is what they see - nothing else.
