ES.I don't think I've ever had an unsolicited text asking to meet up and I've seen quite a few. The stupid part of me is sad I haven't been contacted, LOL. Granted I don't mention them freely texting me or maybe the ones I see probably get enough business. +1 to negotiating when it happens though -- you're in the position to do so when they contact you first.

Also with that said, I recommend guys try and come up with mutually beneficial deals with providers they like at the end of the first meeting or anytime after. Nothing wrong with trying to get a better rate in exchange for being someone that is safe, reliable, and gives repeat business. I think all providers should honestly already have a repeat rate (hidden or not), but most don't. Just doesn't make sense that you're paying the same rate as a brand new person, and it shows you're willing to repeat when many prefer variety. Something simple like x amount off all future meetings. If she says no then her loss, as building up good clientele is just smart business. Just don't brag about it anywhere or feel like you have to commit and treat it like a SB deal or anything.

The extremely popular ones, ones that already give good rates, or agencies will not budge on this but you can gauge who best to ask or whatnot. Also don't ask before you even meet unless you're fine with them getting pissed and blocking you LOL.

Just remember that rates are rarely ever set in stone, but there's a smart way to negotiate without seeming like a stingy creep.

For you guys who are negotiating with providers who have unpublished rates or are amateurs, a bit of advice that has worked for me.

When you are discussing price, don't be afraid to put your offer in first. As in, what you feel is the right price. Maybe even $50 lower.

It's called "anchoring". It goes against the assumption a lot of people have that you shouldn't be the first to name a price. There's a psychological phenomenon where no matter what the counter offer is, it will always be in relation to the first offer. So if you offer $250-300, she may come back with $350-400 vs if you had asked her and she says $500. You're also not bargaining her down, she's working to increase the value.

And, as always, don't be afraid to walk.

What goes for $500 around here is ridiculous. It needs to stop.

Makes no sense that you get charged the same as someone they've never seen before. More hobbyists need to do this with ones they've seen, as long as you aren't an ass about it and show you're more willing to repeat or go longer hours.

Just don't do it with someone you've never met before unless you're willing to be blocked even if you're nice.

I've found that rates are mostly bullshit anyway -- just tally up the hotel cost, whether they have a private incall, their volume that you estimate, how fair their rate is vs others, and make a kind of common sense negotiation from there. Enough to be worthwhile for both of you.

Comparing provider's average rate (I am thinking it is about $300), compared to stock trading, it seems to be the technical resistance. Some providers are below that, most are at that and there are a number that are above that. I am thinking with the SVB failure that just happened, it will bleed into other banks and eventually affect other sectors including this industry.
