View Full Version : Fake / Suspicious Spas on Rub Maps

My usage of rub maps has gone down tremendously. Wanted to share some of my thoughts / spas that I know for sure have fake reviews:

Disclaimer: I'm not saying all reviews for these places are fake.

ELF massage / spa (mercury).

Super spa (university).

Spa Bello (el cajon).

Massage One (university).

Blue Sky Spa (clairemont).

No. 1 Ark Massage (rancho bernardo).

If you look carefully most of the same users review these spots. I've called some out a long time ago so now they have smartened up to mostly go private.

Every now and then some of them slip up, like the current user Ghengiskhack (user 7956579) and Heywoodsjablowme (user 7978695) - and if you follow some crumbs you will find multiple accounts doing the same thing. I assume its some sort of operations they are running / someone for spas with the same owner (s).

There are other highly suspicious spas including Erma.

This problem isn't just for San Diego because these users post reviews at the same spas across California such as:

JL Massage Center in Moreno Valley, California.

Lavender Massage in Temecula, California.

Pavilion Massage & Spa in Tracy, California.

Serenity Health & Wellness in San Diego, California.

Etc.

And then not so much fake users doing some sort of operations, but some of the top reviewed spas have white knights (or even the owner) jump on any review that's not perfect and accuse the reviewer of being fake or that they must have gone in when they were busy to have a mediocre experience and try to defend the place etc.

The "fake reviews" I mentioned up top that go across multiple spas don't usually interact in comment sections which is why I suspect they are some sort of operations that exist just for reviews, but the white knights / shills and trolls actually post comments so these are probably real people that are putting pussy on a pedestal and sucking up to the spas for a 10-20 $ discount to show them how they are "being a good boy" online for them.

I pretty much have gotten jaded enough with rub maps that I now assume private profile = shill or fake review.

I still travel frequently and it can still be useful in smaller towns but if you follow the crumbs enough you will notice these accounts post across the country so I advise to take any suspiciously good review from private profiles as fake. I'm sure there are real users that go private for whatever reason but sorry, I don't trust you now due to how bad rub maps has gotten.

This dude is a hater and this thread needs shut down. He doesn't know WTF he's talking about.I'm a fairly reasonable person so happy to admit when I'm wrong if you can provide details.

But look at Elf spa:

There are 10+ reviews for Coco putting her anywhere from 18-25 years old while she is obviously 40+ and barely provides the service that is listed.

Most of these profiles are private. Then you can catch some like "Skypemaster" (https://www.rubmaps.ch/user-8200434) whos only reviews are at Elf and another spa in Colton, California where the users of that city are reporting reviews as fake for that spa (Star House Day Spa in Colton, California).

Look at user Morminasspiston (https://www.rubmaps.ch/user-8106539) that also rated coco as young and 5 star service. Only other reviews are at Blue & Moon Massage SPA in Santa Ana, California where users are calling out multiple fake reviews.

Most of these fake review accounts review the same 2-3 spas that always get complaints of fake reviews.

Finding these two accounts above took less than 5 minutes and comments from paying users of rub maps confirm a big influx of fake reviews for these same spas across multiple cities.

Looks like other people have noticed as well. Check the comment section for elf spa. Another user commented: "Same review network as JL and Ark. A few ithers as well I believe. Seems like they hired someone to make several userbames to soam reviews across affiliated AMPs. Fight back, boycott the obvious ones. ".

Two of the same spas I mentioned in my original post.

I do agree that RM is an absolute mess these days. It's insane.

1) Fake reviews.

As set forth below, there are numerous reviews by obvious shills, even for real spas that are good and that I personally like. I remember Diamond (hillcrest) would get reviews for Apple when she wasn't there, or described her as having tiny tits, or whatever.

2) shitty members.

On the other hand, the pervasive fake reviews put people on edge and even real reports are constantly being called fake etc. Half the posts re: certain spas have 13-14 comments of the same idiots fighting over nothing.

3) no vetting.

You don't need a premium account to post there. You can also make your account "private" so no one can look at your posting history. That makes it extremely easy to be a shill, or to leave fake negative reviews, or fake overly-positive reviews (to disappoint members who go). I've seen members of this forum get reviewed on RM as if they were providers! It's the fucking wild west. Garbage site full of garbage people. Grateful for this USASG, even if the mods are a little tough sometimes. It sure beats the alternative.

RM has been crap for a long while now and is even less useful / trustworthy than PD and LC reviews! Why would anyone pay for premium at this point? I had tried it for a very short time years ago and was unimpressed. Could have used the crypto on HX points instead LOL Better off using this site and TER in my experience. Anywhere you go there will be fake news from shills and people with agenda's. Part of the fun is having the experience and expertise to navigate all that bullshit and still find the winners. Happy Hunting in 2023 all!

Wouldn't the simple fix be to TOFTT at these spas and leave an honest review?

Wouldn't the simple fix be to TOFTT at these spas and leave an honest review?Curiousjo,

I'm sure you recognize my username from rub maps as well and I hope we can have a level headed discussion.

You say to leave an honest review, and yet when someone does leave a mediocre for 108, there are a handful of users including you that are almost guaranteed to blame the monger and defend the spa for any mediocre experience there.

Take a look at the last review for Nina:

Monger mentions blood stains on the sheets and one of the classic white knights of 108 blames the monger for not asking for a sheet change instead of blaming the spa for not being hygienic.

And even you call out the review as "useless" just because Nina is no longer there and are jumping on the user about who you should see if he had a mediocre experience with Nina, even though just the single fact of the sheets not being changed consistently is huge useful information to some mongers that care about that stuff.

Yet there are members even on this forum that talk about knowing who some of the users are by reviewing camera footage with mamasan / providers, and talking to providers about reviews that are left to identify who left those reviews which is just weird behavior and a huge reason I don't typically post reviews right after seeing providers.

I got a DM from a user a while back that specifically called you out because they posted a review of an "unusual service" they received after seeing me argue with people in the comments (which I admit is immature on my end but sometimes I have too much time LOL):

"Curisosjoe or something like that, PMed me. Dude must live there and think the girls are his actual girlfriends. He said the girl I saw was Lisa bc he asked her about it and she confirmed.

I've been in San Diego three times this year and went to Ocean each time. I only reviewed it this time because of. The next time I'm in SD I'm going to try one of the other places and I will NOT post ever again about any spa in SD."

(removed some details to avoid identifying the person).

If anyone on rub maps or even this forum messaged me to tell me they asked about me to the provider, I would definitely be creeped out enough to not post anything moving forward.

All that to say, I really do appreciate all of the info and intel you provide and have definitely used your info to my advantage more than once. BUT don't be surprised if people assume you either work for Mimi or benefit from all of the glorious reviews and defending of the spa that you do. When there are 500 5 star reviews, the occasional mediocre reviews can provide a lot of insight to the spa so I don't understand what you or some of the defenders actually get out discouraging people from sharing their experiences.

Word! The fact that you would quote / dignify The biggest most blatant blowhard White knight / AMP Shill, in all of San Diego County (both here on the USA AMP thread as well as Rub Maps), is beyond laughable. And thank you, for calling this person out.

IMHO, A2 should just nuke the entire AMP thread all together.

Including myself which is why I invited the first response to this thread calling me a hater that doesn't know what I'm talking about to provide more details. If I'm proven wrong, I'll happily apologize to everyone here and lock this thread and keep it up as a reminder of shame instead of archiving it.

Sup Red,

I actually thought I had a pretty good conversation with that guy. I never thought I freaked him out. He was getting hammered at the veracity of his encounter. I was the only one to give him the benefit of the doubt. He got the name of the provider wrong, but the account was accurate and I was able to pinpoint who the actual provider was. I personally am not interested in doing business with that particular lady. Definitely a quirky lady, hehe. "Dude must live there and think the girls are his actual girlfriends. " Such an interesting thought. Haha.

This entire discussion about Nina is getting boring. I would advice you see her yourself when she comes back on the scene, and form your own opinion about her, if you haven't done so already. She was also Baby at Flanders back in November. I actually wasn't able to do a follow-up session with her this Christmas season, but I still think she is great. She definitely has hot friends. Haha.

Regarding legitimate complaints, I advice anyone to take it up with the boss or anyone else on site instead of bitching about it uselessly in the public space. Therefore, appropriate action can be taken instead of being like woe is me, I have a dirty bed.

I recently had a negative experience with a provider. Similar to that Nina account. My weekly tally for the week between Christmas and New Year is 8, but I would rather say 7, and put that experience behind me. This lady is currently on the scene in San Diego and has Zero Reviews.

So during this two week Holiday Season, my total tally is a dozen, but the last lady is definitely worth forgetting, so I would rather say 11.

As for my motivation, I am just in the hunt for valuable Intel. I don't know if you've been tracking my recent reviews, but I have been expanding my go to places during this holiday season. It's nice to know that I have reliable places I can hit up to find the hotties. In San Gabriel, I have Chloe's fun house. She actually runs two. I checked out the second place in Alhambra. It's a nice looking setup. Chloe gave me the heads up that Cherry was one of the ladies upstairs. I said, Hi, to her before I headed to nearby Henry's Cuisine. Cherry is now at 108. At Henry's Cuisine, I enjoyed a delicious feast which included a lobster with an off duty provider and two of her friends. I was having a pretty bad day similar to that guy's Nina experience, so to make up for it, I ended up fooling around with three ladies and enjoyed a lobster feast with three other ladies. The first girl, Angela, my performance with her was absolute shit, so I'm looking forward to seeing her again at 108 when she comes down in the middle of the month. On my way home, I went to my OC pitstop spa which is conveniently close to the Jamboree Road midpoint. Awesome full service but since I was still full from that lobster feast and fooling around with two women, earlier, Tiffany had to basically give me the most epic HJ finish ever. God damn, she worked hard.

It's worth mentioning that my first visit to this OC pitstop spa, I met Yoyo, power player provider. Absolute sexual beast. She'll be most likely at Flanders in March. I'll need to deviate from my usual routine if I want to see her again, hehe.

So from these out of San Diego adventures what can I share of value to you all? The new girl coming to 108 in mid January is attractive and the lady most likely coming to Flanders in March is Power Player Level.

Cheers.

Was there an attempt to handle the situation on site at the time?

That guy who messaged you is interesting. The stuff I know about him is because he told me about himself.

I'm not interested in who he is but I was very interested of this girl's willingness to do such naughty and wreckless service. I never communicated with her directly about it. That would be so weird, hey, are you wreckless on your work? However, I did touch base with a guy I know, who did see the same girl, and he agreed the scenario with her was entirely possible as what the report indicated what went down.

If you complain in the public space, how does the issue become resolved, exactly?

Anyway, earlier today, did back to back sessions with Zoe and Anna at 108. Both fucking hot!

Reports soon to follow of course.

Cheers.

1.) Every spa on RM is fake / suspicious. Don't need RM in this city, anyway.

2.) Every Asian massage parlor in this city is suspicious. I've seen reports of legit massages in less-than-legit establishments on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc. If a massage parlor between a sports bar and a full-nude strip club open at late hours doesn't spark any ideas, then you may be lacking an imagination.

3.) Complaints in public spaces identify shills and white knights--None of whom I pay attention to. Every monger doesn't have to like every provider. That's fine, but no one likes a Captain Save-A-Ho, which, by nature of this hobby, is the most literal definition thereof.

I agree, there are definitely fake reviews on RubMaps. I experienced it first hand when an idiot (yes I know who he is) misappropriated my handle (one letter different in his handle) to write reviews for his spas on that site. I know who he is because he reached out to me when he was active on this site to introduce himself and asked me to visit his spas and write reviews for them and his girls. Recently, mongers on this site reached out to me asking questions about spas that I hadn't been to then told me they saw my reviews on that site. Guys, any reviews with my "handle" on RubMap are fake. I don't use that site.

It's unfortunate there are fake reviews however I personally don't mind reviews in GENERAL. I can easily filter out the fakes from the real ones easily by reading what the reviewers write. Just like the guys that are writing fakes reviews on this site. I just ignore their posts. IMO, these "less frequent" spa owners are just hurting themselves in the long run by writing the fake reviews for the fuglies, and GILFs they bring then lie about the girls' looks and performances. When they eventually bring younger girls to their spas it's difficult to believe because we still don't see reviews by trusted mongers.

As stated, I don't mind reviews in general because I use them as references. I do my own research, see and know who the reviewers are and what spas they write reviews for, etc.

I know there are mongers that love only Asian women and will only go to AMPs. Others will only go to the agencies or only see independents so I get to know these mongers and their preferences. I personally like them all- agencies, independents, FS and nonFS spas. Just let there be beautiful women and you will find me there.

Stay safe and happy hobbying fellas!

It doesn't matter if the situation was handled on site at the time. The guy has a right to do a review.

The issue is resolved for future patrons who can choose to either avoid the establishment or verify new and clean sheets and towels.

If you see a review that looks interesting, click on the username to check their profile.

If it is a private profile, I ignore the review and assume it is a shill.

If it is a public profile, and all they post is 5 star reviews, I assume it is a shill.

If it is a public profile, and all they do is review 1 or 2 spas repeatedly, I assume it is a shill.

This rule may not apply 100% of the time but I stick to this myself to weed out bad information and it has worked for me pretty consistently over the years.

LOL, on Rubmaps, I just look at the raw # of reviews a place has since I don't have a paid account (too lazy to write reviews every time I go). This is especially useful if I'm going somewhere in an area I'm not familiar with.

If it has over 50, it has extras.

If it has over 100, it's probably FS (or just a place that has given quality handies for years, like Sakata in San Marcos). Either one works for me.

If it's over 200, get in there soon because it's probably going to get shut down by vice!

After 11+ years of premium membership at rubmaps I finally canceled my membership. The admins there are completely worthless. Reporting reviews as fake never get them removed, reporting users never get anything done, etc.

Some of the same trolls that have been banned here seem to be the most active ones on the site and have a buddy buddy system of defending each other. And some of these mongers are actually in love with certain spas / girls. Super loser incel behavior imo LOL.

I may reactivate my membership when I'm traveling to different cities but I'm glad I was finally able to pull the plug. Its become an echo chamber of 3-5 people repeating the same thing while accusing anyone they disagree with as being trolls or competition from spas that they are in love with. So glad admin did something on these forums. Even if some may think its drastic, there's been so much more useful information here ever since the bans on certain topics and labeling of shill users.

I read the forums for "entertainment purposes only" and for the fact of getting some intel on spas or providers. I have done the TOFTT and have reported it.

When I read a negative review, it does make it stay away from a place, but why "negative reviews"? Is it to thwart others from seeing providers or spa and keep it a secret for themselves?

I have been to spas or seen providers and I didn't get a chance to review them "lazy I guess" and then I will see a negative review which I didn't experience and feel why did this person say these things.

Sometimes I have repeated with same providers and surprisingly some do read the boards and I was asked if I knew about these boards. I said "no, didn't know these existed. ".

Like fight club.

Rubmaps fuckin stinks for the exact reasons you mentioned. I renewed recently to check in and it's worse than ever.I think it is useful to subscribe to the site for one month to make sure you know the potential bbfscip providers in Southern California. Michelle in Pasadena, Cici in Rosemead, the old time Korean shops in Fullerton and 7-11 Jenny's latest location. Otherwise it serves no purpose.

When I read a negative review, it does make it stay away from a place, but why "negative reviews"? Is it to thwart others from seeing providers or spa and keep it a secret for themselves?I also take overly negative reviews with a grain of salt. It's really all about the details IMO. Why was the experience negative? Were the sheets dirty but services were fine? Great. Now with that "negative review" information, people that read the review can make a decision to risk it or ask for fresh sheets when they visit the spa, etc. Was the review negative because you read someone else's experience and didn't get the same treatment? If so, at least we know that the reported looks of the provider may be accurate but mongers can lower expectations for services if they decide to visit. And we need to always remind ourselves that YMMV.

But if I go along with the same thought process as your question, I can ask the same thing about "positive reviews"? Why "positive reviews"? Is it to drive more business to the providers and spa even thought it could potentially be a negative for the monger next time they want to see the same provider?

Yes these forums (and other sites) should really be for entertainment purposes but some people really enjoyed the "status" they got from being an insider of a spa and essentially advertising girls and services before experiencing themselves. Do I have 100% proof? No. But I've seen detailed reviews of providers within minutes of receiving messages from mamasan that they have that specific new girl coming later that day and the overly positive reviews do more bad than good for the users IMO since newbies might expect the same type of services as regulars that have chemistry with providers. Some reviews are come across like fantasy short stories to sell a dream rather than useful information to other users here.

Looks like my first reply is still under review but just wanted to clarify. Not trying to start any arguments or anything like that. I think these forums are a great place to engage in open conversations with people since it's not easy for groups of people like us to get together in person and chat it up.

Sometimes I have repeated with same providers and surprisingly some do read the boards and I was asked if I knew about these boards. I said "no, didn't know these existed. ".

Like fight club.Didn't catch this earlier but yes. I think others have alluded in different threads in the past but I can 100% say that I have been offered "no house fee next visit" if I leave a positive review of a specific spa or provider but as much as I like to partake in fucking ****** for money, I still have morals LOL. I just act ignorant if the subject is brought up now.

Adding Soothing Spa and Comfy Spa, both in San Diego.

The dead giveaway is most (if not all) reviews show "This profile has been made private by the owner" when you click on the reviewer's name. Doesn't matter if the reviewer is listed as a noob, bronze, silver, hobbyist, etc.

Another potential giveaway is the existence of at least one new review every. Single. Day.

The increasing number of fake reviews from private reviewers makes the RM site practically useless.
