The owners of this site are not in the USI wasn't aware, before my original post I looked up the domain registration and the contact info has a Florida address (a PO box or similar I presume). I've done some more digging and I guess he lives in Aregentina? Still, and I'm not a lawyer, by going on the information that's registered arguably this site is owned by a corporation (the one listed on the registration) that was incorporated in the US (seemingly in Delaware) making it subject to US laws. Actually, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page you'll see "Website owned by USASG Internet Properties, Inc. " which also appears to have been incorporated in Delaware. At least the physical servers appear to be in Germany but I don't think that's a bulletproof safeguard. I'm not confident USASG is untouchable.

Law enforcement agencies shut down the classifieds website that has long been accused of facilitating child sex trafficking. A federal indictment was unsealed Monday accusing seven top officials at the site of dozens of counts of money laundering and facilitating prostitution.

Backpage has hosted thousands of ads daily for female and male prostitutes but has come under intense scrutiny for including those involving children being trafficked by adults. Federal officials said that rather than being inadvertent slips, Backpage. Com took "consistent and concerted action" to have ads related to prostitution and then sought to cover up the source of the funds.

Seven top officials of the website Backpage. Com, long accused of facilitating child sex trafficking, have been arrested after a grand jury in Phoenix issued a 93-count indictment alleging conspiracy and money laundering, and the government on Friday seized all of Backpage's websites around the world.

The indictment was unsealed Monday in Phoenix after all defendants made their first appearances before a magistrate there. Among those charged are the site's founders, Michael Lacey and James Larkin.

The indictment accuses Backpage of facilitating prostitution committed by those posting ads on the site, specifically citing 17 victims trafficked on Backpage, some as young as 14. Authorities also allege the company laundered some of the estimated $500 million in prostitution-related revenue the site has reaped since its launch in 2004.

"Virtually every dollar flowing into Backpage's coffers represents the proceeds of illegal activity," according to the indictment.

An official with the Justice Department said in a background briefing that the hosting of trafficking ads on Backpage was not inadvertent, but instead the result of "consistent and concerted action" taken over the years. "This is not a website that let the occasional ad slip thru the cracks of their review system," an official said Friday, as the government was taking down Backpage's websites.

A Senate report issued last year said that Backpage had gross revenue of $135 million in 2014 and expected those numbers to rise. The report said Backpage ran sites for 943 locations in 97 countries and 17 languages.

Backpage has argued that it assists law enforcement in tracking down victims and perpetrators of crimes, which some police officials have corroborated, and is not a participant in the advertising on the site. Some in the sex worker industry say that removing Backpage from the internet takes away a safe mechanism for screening clients, and that the ads will simply move to sites outside the country, or to social media.

The federal investigation in Phoenix was first disclosed by Backpage in a court filing in February 2017. Phoenix is where Backpage was created, by Lacey and Larkin as owners of the New Times alternative weekly newspaper chain, and federal officials said that is where the company's American bank accounts are located, although they alleged that money was funneled through banks in Iceland, Hungary, Liechtenstein and the Netherlands.

Backpage's general counsel, Liz McDougall, did not return messages seeking comment.

Backpage is a classified ads website which grew in prominence, and income, after Craigslist.com stopped hosting "Adult Services" ads in 2010. Embedded among the ads for adult prostitutes on Backpage are solicitations for teenaged girls and boys, anti-sex trafficking advocates said, enabling pimps to repeatedly sell children for sex. Though Backpage closed its "Adult Services" section in January 2017, the ads promptly reappeared in the "Dating" section, most recently with very little written copy accompanying photos of the males and females seeking dates.

One 16-year-old girl in Chicago was slain in 2016 after responding to an ad placed by her pimp on Backpage. The indictment discusses another girl who was murdered after being prostituted on Backpage, a case in which the killer then attempted to burn his victim's body. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has said that 73 percent of the child trafficking reports it receives from the public stem from Backpage.

"For years, Backpage. Com has been a major hub of sex trafficking, the place where some of our nation's most vulnerable women and children have been bought and sold," said Lauren Hersh, national director of World Without Exploitation. "The closure of Backpage removes one of the most prolific online platforms of exploitation. It is high time to hold websites accountable for the harm they knowingly cause by facilitating sexual exploitation. ".

Mary Mazzio, whose documentary "I Am Jane Doe" featured numerous women trafficked on Backpage said, "I don't think any of the children who filed suit against Backpage ever thought their fight for justice would result in a federal indictment or a legislative response. That Congress and the Department of Justice would respond with urgency to the voices of these children, as well as survivors from across the country, who lined up, shoulder to shoulder in support of these children, is stunning. ".

Seizing websites is not a new tack for the Justice Department. The department last year said it had shut down AlphaBay, a site on the dark Web that functioned as an illicit marketplace for guns, drugs and fake documents. It has previously seized websites suspected of facilitating prostitution, such as RentBoy. Com and MyRedBook. Com, and obtained convictions of the sites' operators.

But Backpage had evaded prosecution, in large part by invoking the Communications Decency Act. Enacted in 1996, the law provides legal immunity for website operators for content posted by third parties, so long as the operators weren't involved in creating the content. Lawsuits brought by women who had been trafficked on Backpage were dismissed by federal courts in Chicago and Boston because of the immunity granted by Section 230 of the decency act, as was a criminal case in California filed by the attorney general there.

The courts in each case invited Congress to amend the decency act. So the Senate subcommittee on investigations launched a probe into Backpage, and found that Backpage employees were editing prostitution ads to delete references to underage girls, while still allowing the ads to be posted.

In addition, The Washington Post found that Backpage had hired a contractor in the Philippines to solicit ads from prostitutes advertising on other websites, creating ready-made ads for them on Backpage, though Backpage had said it was not involved in creating content.

Members of the House and Senate both launched bills to amend Section 230, and a combined version of those passed both houses last month. Nicknamed "FOSTA," for the Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act, it would enable victims and state prosecutors to pursue websites in criminal and civil court without being blocked by Section 230. It is awaiting President Trump's signature or veto.

But opponents of the bill noted that federal prosecutors already had the tools to pursue websites such as Backpage, and indeed the new indictment did not require the new legislation. It accuses Backpage of "50 different instances in which the defendants are alleged to have knowingly facilitated a prostitution crime," according to an official with the USA Attorney's Office in Arizona. The official, along with another from the Justice Department, spoke on the condition of anonymity during a conference call with reporters Friday.

The indictments also discuss dozens of counts dealing with money laundering, which the officials said was an effort to keep the money from being traced. Since launching in 2004, Backpage has made "approximately $500 million dollars in prostitution-related revenue," the Arizona official said. "The defendants took various steps to launder the money. " That included routing the money through seemingly unrelated businesses, wiring it through other countries and converting it in and out of "bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrency," the official said.

Officials said Friday their goal was to get the website taken down. "It is not unusual when a criminal organization has a domain name that is used as part of their criminal activity that we will seize it," said the Justice Department official. The seizures began occurring Friday morning in Phoenix.

Just a thought.You have to pay attention to the tone of voice there vernacular an assertion also pay attention if you hear voices phones or radios in the background that's how you'll know it's real but most likely it's a scammer but who knows tough to say without actually doing research but I have this happen to me a while back turns out it was actually true and LEO but the provider had my name and a small nickname and apparently blur so she can remember who it was calling her or she new exactly what town turns out she got arrested and it will call in the last number she contacted luckily she had my burn number untraceable so I just deleted that I never called back even if it was real you don't want to call back you'll be dumb even though it's after the fact but that's a whole nother can of worms you do not want to open.

We live only once.I don't agree. I've done a multi day on the first overnight date and maybe the third date overall. Usually though I'm not doing a multi day until after we've done a sleepover or 3. My multi day trips have usually been 2 nights. I did one once for 5 nights but it was extended due to severe weather and tons of cancellations. Had those patients presented with any of the symptoms, they would have taken precautions for it and likely had been fine.

The fact they got sick tells me it was from patients that did NOT have any symptoms, and likely left the hospital and continued to spread among the community.

Corona spreads the same way at the flu. Through droplet contact.

You are able to just have a user name that you make up so whom ever you speak to won't know who you are.

Twitter for instance will make suggestions to the people in your contacts, to follow you on twitter. I assume snapchat is the same. You don't want someone coming to you and asking if you just installed Snapchat. Most in my contacts arent that savy but who knows. For this reason I do not allow the app to have access to my contacts and wind up running the app in an encrypted container with a fake google account. This blocks it from seeing my normal contacts in my phone. Also work related apps don't have access to it either. Finally I can protect all apps in it with a password the whole container off when I am home so no Icons show up should anyone get access to my phone. I have an android so I have no idea if this is possible on an apple.

The only way I have found to make this work without downloading an app on your Iphone or PC (I am sure there are others) is to use Zoom.

- Start a Private browser session.

- Create an account with a bogus email (you need the email to activate the account).

- Once activated you can start a 'meeting' from your browser.

- Zoom will try to download the application. When it tries. Cancel the download.

- Once cancelled it will give you an alternative option to download, choose that but then cancel it.

-Once you have cancelled both options, you will be be given the ability to start the meeting from the browser.

From what I can tell there is no browser history since you are in Private mode and no other digital trail that I can detect. Hoping to test t out with my provider. Once we do, I'll report back. (yes I am bored).

Not angrily but just as a matter of fact. That you moved on and why. We can be hopeful that polite feedback will make a difference for some.

That said, we also have to deal with the reality that there just aren't a lot of providers who do this because they prefer it. They do it as a last resort because they can't keep their shit together to hold down something else. We have to be realistic and expect their behavior to reflect that even if we hope for something better. The average provider is, unfortunately and sad to say, an unreliable junkie. We're hunting for the better of the bunch, but even those are not going to be perfect. If the bad ones flake 75% and average ones flake 50%, then ones who flake "only" 25% are the good ones even if that's still a terrible rate in the "regular" world. Also bear in mind the same lack of planning and responsibility that got them where they are is the same thing you are dealing with when you try to set an appointment in advance. It should be simple for a competent, professional person, but that's not the group we're dealing with. Set your expectations accordingly.

Have standards and stick to them. Move on well before the point of frustration, to save you the time and the aggravation and also to set a general expectation we will all benefit from. Some nights it's not going to be your night. If you participate regularly, that's going to happen repeatedly. It's in the game. It's better to cut your losses than to chase a bad bet trying to recover. Don't feed any pettiness and don't accommodate bad behavior. Maybe you give them another chance another night, but pull the plug that night rather than get jerked around further.

I've only had a few really bad interactions of the time-wasting or ripoff ilk (plenty of the poor service variety) but when I find myself getting frustrated or thinking about trying again or getting even, or whatever, I try to just walk away from it and say fuck it. The pandemic has created a catastrophic health and economic crisis that has illuminated the fragile existence of low-wage and gig workers in the United States. The experience of sex workers, who find the most stable work as independent contractors, is no different. (Some strip clubs offer workers employee status, but they are in the minority; in Nevada, where prostitution is legal in some counties, workers at brothels are considered independent contractors.) Like undocumented workers who are barred from getting government benefits in exchange for their labor, and prison laborers who receive little consideration of their rights as workers, sex workers have few places to turn for help. Federal law bars the issuance of disaster loans and grant assistance to applicants who "present live performances of a prurient sexual nature" or who earn income "through the sale of products or services, or the presentation of any depictions or displays, of a prurient sexual nature. " Strippers, pornography performers, and owners of sex-toy and other adult-entertainment businesses are ineligible. Sex workers who make their money on the street and cannot access public assistance are also wary of trying to access social services, for fear of being arrested.

Sex is unlike any other commodity. It is, for some people, tied to emotional beliefs about morality and pleasure and power. It is, for many others, tied to those same things, but it can be transactional and unsentimental, too—a service. Despite many parts of the sex business becoming legal, its laborers still see themselves either glamorized in popular culture as high-earning hustlers or portrayed as victims of trauma and manipulation. Political and social stigmas limit the recognition of their basic rights as workers. "People don't realize that most labor is exploitative under capitalism," Meagan, an organizer and former escort and stripper in Washington State, told me. "Looking at sex work from a puritanical view is deeply ingrained in society. ".

Maya, a sex worker and undocumented immigrant from Honduras, has worked on and off for several years in different sectors of the industry, from pornography to full-service escorting. When President Trump entered office, in 2017, and threatened to disband the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, of which Maya is a recipient, she decided to restart sex work and go into it full time. "I wanted to insure that, if I lost my right to work, I would still be able to earn an income underground and survive," she said. It also lets her pay her DACA renewal fees. Undocumented people who are found prostituting, which is classified as a misdemeanor in the state of New York, can be arrested and deported.

Of the dozen or so sex workers whom I talked to, some qualified for unemployment if they had paid taxes as independent contractors, and they were still trying to apply for it. Others did not qualify but had savings or family to lean on. And still others were doing whatever they could to piece together a living. Most were also hoping for the generosity of past clients and mutual aid from within their communities. One young single mother, who works as an escort and performs in Internet pornography in California, told me that most women she knew in the industry were trying to provide for their families. "They grew up in poverty, and they want to make sure their kids don't have that same life style," she said. She added that she was trying to decide if she could safely break quarantine and see clients by letting her daughter stay with a relative; every time she posts an advertisement, she becomes anxious and takes it down. She still sees a client whom she refers to as her sugar daddy, who does not want sexual interactions.

Lily, a dancer at a strip club in Manhattan and an actress, said that she started taking classes in burlesque and decided to try stripping after she grew tired of earning little in restaurants. She enjoys the dancing and the financial freedom the work gives her, but says that other parts of it are difficult to handle. "People think that this work does not deserve dignity or respect," she said. Tea Antimony, a sex worker and organizer with the Brooklyn chapter of Sex Workers Outreach Project, said the stigmas of sex work reflect social prejudices. "We are yet again seeing how race, class, and immigration status intersect in terms of which work is defined as valid," she said. "Sex work, like other feminized labor, is defined as not valid. ".

Dancers pay as much as hundreds of dollars in house fees to perform onstage in strip clubs, ideally earning enough in tips to make a profit. Corporate, high-end clubs discriminate against women who they decide are not thin enough, or against African-American women who wear hair styles like braids. Some clubs fail to advocate for performers against customers who violate boundaries. Protections for dancers, most of whom are women, are strikingly absent in a profession in which the business owners are often men. "I've been in this industry long enough to see when the boat gets rocked, you lose your job so quick," Leilah, who works as a stripper, told me. "Everyone in the club is afraid of the power of the men who work there. " She said that she believes a club fired her for publicly criticizing the industry. "Women get scared because they don't want to lose their jobs," Lily said. "And who do you turn to?

Since losing her job, Lily has tried dancing on Instagram Live and requesting donations via her Venmo account. She has also been thinking about starting a page on a Web site called OnlyFans to share photos and videos or to live stream directly with subscribers.

OnlyFans began in 2016, before sex workers began to face the aftermath of the SESTA-FOSTA bills, legislation passed in Congress which targeted Web sites on which sex workers advertised, such as Craigslist and Backpage. The sites were penalized for hosting content that was allegedly related to sex trafficking; Backpage shut down, and Craigslist eliminated its personals section. Many online sex workers turned to posting on OnlyFans. The coronavirus lockdown has given the platform unexpected cachet, a cult appeal. Social-media influencers and minor celebrities have proudly announced to their followers that they have started explicit pages on the site. Beyoncé recently rapped about the platform: sexuality seemingly empowered and coolly monetized. The impulse to glamorize OnlyFans is, at its core, a sign of the times: capitalistic even as our economy has failed many workers, and seductive as the rituals of sex and dating have been upended. But, for most sex workers on OnlyFans, the platform not only takes twenty per cent of their income, it also requires an enormous amount of labor to attract and keep followers happy and simply make a profit. "I have to do a lot of work to establish some boundaries for what I will and will not do," Adora, who also works as a stripper, said, of the way she handles subscribers. When she worked at a strip club, she could go into the lap-dance room with customers and decide if and how they could touch her, depending on how much they tipped. Staff at the club could help her with aggressive patrons. Now, if an online client wants a video of a sex act, she has to decide the terms of a new kind of transaction and insure that the payment matches the work. "You got to be your own bouncer," she said.

Sites like OnlyFans are beneficial for sex workers who already have big audiences online; for everyone else, the Web sites are so saturated that figuring how to best entertain customers may not be worth the time it takes to build a base. Promoting themselves on Instagram and Twitter is growing more difficult; sex workers say the platforms are banning their accounts. Some are experimenting with other methods. An acquaintance of Lily's is charging clients forty dollars for a virtual lap dance. Emma, a Brazilian immigrant who works at a strip club in Brooklyn, told me she was excited to join a virtual collective strip show, where viewers must donate in order to watch and are encouraged to tip. As in other parts of the economy, the work has shifted online, but it remains taxing. "I admire the girls that keep working online, because it's difficult to handle all this financial and emotional stress we're going through, and then still give a lot to other people," Emma told me. "I love the experience, but sex work is draining because you're holding space for another person. ".

Online sex work is safer, in terms of exposure to the coronavirus. Yet those who do it run a higher risk of being doxxed and harassed, and of being discriminated against by banks and payment processors. Many payment platforms who take on sex workers as customers, like CCBill, charge at least a thousand dollars a year in fees. "Regardless of how much money you're making, because we are a criminalized population, it can all be taken away from us in an instant, and we literally have no legal recourse," Molly Simmons, a sex worker and founder of the Brooklyn chapter of Sex Workers Outreach Project, told me. "Your PayPal will get shut down and they will seize your funds. Your bank will decide that you can't be a customer there anymore. One police raid, and they can take your phone and your laptop and all the cash you have in your house. After that, it can be really hard to build your life back up. " The discrimination seeps into other parts of sex workers' lives. "There was a time recently when I was looking for an apartment, and I'm, like, I can't tell this landlord that I'm stripping," Genevieve, a sex worker who lives in Philadelphia, told me. "They seem a little too conservative. ".

As life under quarantine took hold in the United States and around the world, global consumption of Internet pornography rose. Porn Web sites reported increased traffic; sex workers with already-popular fan pages saw an increase in new subscribers. Receding into our homes, we looked for distraction and titillation and intimacy through our computers and phones. A few sex workers told me that their labor should be classified as essential—and they were only partly joking. As states reopen, the most marginal workers in the sex industry will have to endanger their health to survive. Simmons, the organizer, said that many sex workers were already used to "living in ongoing crisis all the time, where your life is a series of crises. " Sex workers will survive this pandemic, too, several told me, because they have long stopped expecting support from the government or their employers. They only have themselves and each other.

I'm talking about the appointments, entrance setups, cleaning routines, etc. I'm thinking if they don't exactly follow the rules as a legit place out front, it's super easy for a locals to shut them down without even having to go into the room with a girl. No investigation, stings, or undercover work required.

The upside is customers have less to worry about because no bust is involved. There's also the thought that places that do the front very well will get left alone and the fun in back could get better.

When I asked if she was open, she asked if I could come to a different location, which of course I could, and found this place.

FYI. While anything out in the public is a risk I just wanted to pass along about Metro North. I took the New Haven to Grand Central trip very recently. The rails cars have very few passengers. Everyone was wearing masks. Stay safe everyone.
