Surprisingly, the early morning strolls had a few possibles out there on yesterday and today.

I had 2 missed opportunities on Williams yesterday near Big Dog;
- petite blonde wsw about 30-ish with nice face, body and appearance. Spotted her on the bridge and by the time I had turned around for look #2 she had disappeared near Big Dog or in the houses somewhere.

I was surprised to see a few ladies out early in the wee hours this morning, especially with it being so cold.

I wasn't able to make it to Palm Tree Spa last week. I did have a chance to make a couple of passes through downtown Una. I only spotted one WSW, about a 3 and whacked out. So I had gave up and was headed back to work-related business; but after I turned right at the end of Williams(think it's Textile Rd) I passed this fine-looking little blonde gal. I was lucky to run across Norma Jean 2 times within the past week.

First, early Friday morning while she was walking on Hayne toward Williams.

Second visit was this morning as she was on Williams headed to the gas station on Sibley.

I'm back in town after an extended stay away from Spartanburg on a work-related project. I haven't been posting for the past few months, but now I'm ready to get back into the swing of things and share my tales (tails) with you.

Out for early morning drive yesterday and today. The streets are picking up with the warmer weather but, it's still hit or miss with both the quality and the quantity of ladies.

I had 3 missed opportunities yesterday:

Havent had much of a chance to post lately, but hope I am back for awhile. Last Sat. (25th), saw lots of action on Howard Gap but didnt partake. Only saw one for my liking. I have never seen her before. A very nice looking strawberry blonde, kinda short hair, that was at the opposite end of the street from the car lot near the sharp curve. I don't want to appear as if I'm getting overly happy with the posting, but I think you gents want to know what activity is going on and who the candidates are. So, whem I'm in town and I have news you can use, I post. And lately, the Hobby Gods just seem to be smiling on me.

Since I've not been traveling out of GSP the last few weeks as I normally do, I've had to seek pleasure in the "Meet Markets". Wed and thurs. I was in Spartanburg on busness so decided to check the street action, well there was quite a few BSW's and 1 or 2 WSW's none I was attracted to. early about 3pm so decided to return later but got hung up and couldnt get back.

Traveling alot, so not much time spent in Sparkle City over the past few weeks. But what I have witnessed is a intensed presence of LEO, Charlie and Uncle Johnnie Law. When I have been in town, I've seen more of them than of sw's.

Nevertheless, there is some walking activity in the usual spots.

Worked late night on Thursday and ran into my redbone Red. She was looking pretty nice and clean. Still do my circling (and she's fine with that) to ensure no legal onlookers. The hobby gods are still watching over me. As I've been working in Spartanburg all this week, I've been kinda luck each morning on "detoured" way to the office this week. Surprisingly the sw traffic was good (not great, but good).... But, still not much for new talent in the common areas. I still have not branched out to bold new territories in Spartanburg yet - actually need to slow down after my lucky streak this week.

Monday, I overslept and hit the market too late (too close to dawn), so I did mini detour and found much of nothing.

There's a new AMP in Wellford. Exit 66 towards Lyman, it's on the left side. I have not had great experiences with AMPs so I avoid them and can't report on what goes on inside. I just thought you guys would like to know.

I ran into Kay-Kay also, she has just been released from the "crack head" county club for girls. She is the same old Kay-Kay. When I picked her up she still has the looks but was very high. We did a little drive and dive and her skills have gotten even better. As pointed out by "Erwin Lopez" you have to watch her very carefully, she stills anything that's not nailed down.

Did and early morning detour before going to the office and found several spots jumping with ladies this morning. Forest, Wofford, and Sibley all had some traffic flow. But Williams was the hot bed this morning - ladies all over.

Did not find Kay Kay this morning (as if that was a big surprise) but there continued to be a good amount of activity in the major Meeting Areas. Saw 2 making the trot on Haynes but declined. Sometimes the hobby gods just look down and you and smile. I moved down here from Ohio about 2-3 years ago. It is really difficult to get info cause a lot fo people are very suspicious of new mongers in thier areas. When I moved down here I did my usual research and found that the directions are also not very easy either. I just found Una 3 weeks ago. I still have not managed to pass through and check it all out cause after reading some of the stories on this forum for the last 2 years I am VERY leary of LE. My car is anything but inconspicouis so until I get something that is less noticable I try to stay away from those areas. Sometimes I pass by Una on the main road but I never see anything.

Today just seemed to go my way. I did all my usual running around and about 11pm I decided to head home. I took a different longer route. I got off 85 at exit 63 and was going to stop for some smokes when I saw this really hot brunette walking to the BP station. I figured if I got my smokes there I could check her out. Turns out she was working and her name is Michelle and she is passing through from Gainsville FL. I just happened to catch her on her way to the truck parking lot. She says she "does it all" and unfortunatley I only had $20 on me after tooling around all day. I asked her how much she needed and she said $100. Of course I just laugh and she settles for a half and half for the $20. I dropped her off back behind the BP station and off she went to the truck parking area. Picked up a young WSW named Megan on Asheville Hwy, but on the other side of the circle near that hotel between Rt. 56 and Lone Oak. Reddish hair, clean, slim, and didn't look like a SW at all. She sort of gave me that half-wave and I pulled into the hotel driveway. She had a room in that place and said that she was just passing through and needed some cash. It was a so-so experience. I saw Pocahontas on Howard Street on Saturday afternoon around 4:30pm and she was walking with Michelle. I didn't have a chance to stop, just waved to them both as I droved by. I had the opportunity that day to meet a new lady in the area. She was in a new spot that I think will have high value in the future (seem as girls are finding new places to find their best friend, or retailer are changing there current neighborhood locations).

Happened to be doing a U-Turn on Church Street (at least I think that's the street) and went around the Days Inn parking lot, around the back next to the fence. A woman who looked like a resident on the first floor waved at me and gave me a nod. I only got a quick glance, so I went back around because she didn't look bad. Closer inspection showed that she was a bit older and kind of rough looking, so I passed. This was about 3:00pm. I think she's a kind of permanent resident there. She was standing about 3 or 4 doors from the right side of the building, if you're looking at it with your back to the fence.

I posted this in the "other areas" forum back around July 21st, but I think it would be of interest here more than there:

If anybody is interested in action in Gaffney, it's north of town on Rt. 29. There's a Hardee's on the corner of the local street called 6th street and the local street that's actually Rt. 29 going towards Blacksburg. It's rare, but I've seen them on that street and on the streets intersecting it. Also on the streets parallel to 6th, like 5th and 4th. Yesterday, I saw 3 of them on 6th. One was older, with blonde hair all over. Another one was a younger one, but a little heavy, wearing short shorts, and the third one was an older one and the roughest looking of the three. This was at about 11:00am or so.

She said she worked the truck stop on Exit 83 in Cowpens with one other girl. So, there must be some action at that truck stop, but probably truck drivers know that. A quick report from a couple of visits in Una:

It would seem as things in the Una hood are slowing down. On a couple passes in the area all I found were a couple of the regulars that I would rate around 1-5 on the SW scale.

Most of the time I'm in the area in late afternoon but last Thursday decided to do a twilight 7:30pm cruz down old Howard. Found Pocohahontas (passed, she’s to out of control for me), Tammy (passed, I guess she has a black pimp or was standing with one) and Michelle (bingo).

I was going to stop at Utopia but it was closed at about 9:00. Then I went to the next exit and found Stress Away, and they were also closed. I do not know if they moved, were busted or just close early on Saturdays. The night ended with some money wasted at Far East. A report is in the Greenville Board.

Made a futile trip to Utopia on Monday...(was there around 3 in the afternoon, when any AMP should be open), and it was closed. I parked my car near the dumpster and walked a little to the door. The 'open' sign was not on and the door was locked. And here's the scary part. As i was standing there, I noticed a car idling in front of the store next to the spa. The gentleman at the driver's seat called out to me and said, he had seen the place being closed down and people being taken out in hand-cuffs. I asked him when did this happen and he said maybe around end of last week. Man...was I disappointed!! While I was happy that I was not there when it happened, I was really really sad to know that I couldnt get it on the action before they closed down the place. The places in Charlotte just dont cut it. Even though I'm a well known guy in atleast 3 spas in Charlotte, i've never got anything more than an HJ.

Side notes:

1. Thanks Will911 for giving me the directions to Utopia. I should have followed your advice and tried Palm Tree instead.

2. This place being shut down is not something I personally saw. But something about the gentleman in the car told me that it must be true. I'm sad to hear that Utopia has closed down. The last time that i was there was pralle 2 months ago. I had a great time. I guess the only one in s-burg that is still open is PalmTree. But i was never impressed with their service, as most of the time i get stuck with a newbie and she's not used to the game.

Why is it that LE is coming down so hard on the MPs. When we have drugs dealers and murderers walking past the po-po's everyday. These women ain't killing anyone. Hell they even use protection. So whats the big deal.

I pass through the area late and drove by Sat night MLK weekend a few miutes past midnight. Utopia was closed, it was my first trip there and more of a recon visit. It did have that run down closed down look but like I said I never been there before and it was dark. I saw a sign (forgot what it said) but at the time remember thinking they were going for the look of legitimacy. I think it said massage and day spa or something like that. It actually looked like a safer location. Past the strip clubs and off the beaten path not in a high profile strip next to a fast food joint.

Went to the old Stressaway location and they were closed but didn't have the closed for good look.(maybe there's hope to reopen Stressaway?) Locals keep an eye out for that please. Went to Pine Tree also and they were closed too.

When the girl at Stressaway told me they were moving I didn't grill her because I knew I wouldn't get the additional info I wanted. I didn't even ask anything she just told me they were moving, sometimes folks just like to tell me stuff. Now, having said that, if somebody near Utopia volunteered info and said they were closed I would have asked more questions in response in a friendly maner to get more info.

Possible questions I might have asked: How long have they been open/closed? Did you or anyone you know complain? Did people want them out? Were they causing trouble/any disturbances or other problems? Did you see who got arrested? Did you talk to the cops? Who were the cops? Do you know of any other places? Did you ever go there or know anyone that did? Who owned the place? Ever heard of Stressaway/Pintree? where else can I go to get releif? Do you live around here? How do you know?

Being far from a smooth talker I do occasionally get some chit chat going for my benefit. I'm not sure why that local yokal in Gaffeny said I was doing 85 in a 60 zone didn't give me a ticket. He said it was a $750.00 ticket - WTF???. That Trooper near Greenville was a nice fellow too warning me not to do 65 in a 45 zone right after I pulled off the interstate(looking for releif from road stress). Stress Away had to move, they became Utopia, in a merger of a sort. Then they mysteriously closed, I would assume from LE pressure. There is a strong commitment to rid the county of such places. Palm Tree is still open and active, I believe they close at midnight.

Was in town on business and finished early so I decided to cruise Una. On old Howard saw two WSWs one was a 2 at best the other very round and she flashed two fingers as I went by. Does anyone have any info on this club. I stopped once a few months back on a Monday about 2:00 pm. Place was about empty, they had 3 dancers, I was in the tub room. As of yesterday, Stressaway is gone for good at the old location. Utopia is still closed, no sign of life. Palm Tree is open with at least one thin personable girl working. They are a block east of Riedville Road near the U-haul and self storage place.

I think the club you are referring to is Nikita's Playroom at 10243 Greenville Hwy. in Wellford. The BYOB rule allows the girls to get fully nude. If the club serves alcohol, then full nudity is not allowed.

The man known as "Shoota" has been homeless since the day he moved to Spartanburg 18 years ago.

"That's just how it is," Carmon Hunt, 50, said with a shrug while on Old Howard Gap Road, proudly characterizing his situation as a lifestyle choice dominated by crack cocaine, but certainly not by bad luck.

And it didn't seem to bother Hunt that Master Deputy Marc Miller with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office knew his reasons for hanging out all day, every day.

Miller stood next to Hunt as he demonstrated the use of a crack pipe. The drug addict knew the worst thing the officer could do was crush it under his foot, which Miller has done many times.

"This conversation would not be happening if we had laws against paraphernalia and loitering in the county," Miller said flatly.

It's a palpable bitterness shared by Sheriff Chuck Wright and underscored by a never-ending cycle of prostitution and drug activity in the area anchored by Spartanburg County's Howard Street.

Brazen prostitution and drug offenses

"I don't think our system is keeping up to the point of where it's uncomfortable for someone to commit a crime," Wright said of his inability to punish known prostitutes and drug offenders who operate "brazenly," but display little worry they'll ever be stopped.

The possibility of making loitering illegal as a means to curb more serious crimes in the county first gained ground in January. Longtime Howard Street resident Robin Wright told County Council tales of teenage girls being propositioned each morning while waiting for the school bus. Disturbing stories from other residents later emerged - like witnessing sex acts in broad daylight - with most not wanting to give their names for fear of retribution.

Demand for a no-loitering ordinance presented itself more forcefully at Council's meeting last week, this time backed by Wright and the two officers - Miller and Lt. Jeff Valentine - assigned to patrol the county's "central region." Consisting of Una, Saxon, Arcadia, Southern Shops, Whitney, Fairforest and Howard Street, the area is small, densely populated and carries the highest crime rate in the county.

Howard Street is by far the worst, they said, and something needs to be done.

"When was the last time you drove down Howard Street?" Wright asked council members.

Wright officially requested Council to draft a no-loitering ordinance, incorporating stipulations that would make it illegal to possess drug paraphernalia, as well.

Council responded by directing the county attorney to draft the ordinance, which will likely be ready for first reading in May. Fines could range from $200 to $1,500, and offenders could also face 30 days in jail.

"We're looking for a better tool to disrupt the criminal activity," Valentine said. "The harder we make it for them to do their business, the more likely they'll leave."

No-loitering ordinances are difficult to write and enforce, law enforcement officials say, since the majority of people walking and standing in public are not doing anything illegal and will not end up committing crimes. But those with criminal records or established reputations for hanging around areas for the purpose of illegal activity are generally the people no-loitering ordinances are meant to target, although each community must decide how broad or specific the law needs to be.

Spartanburg County has never had such a law on the books, while jurisdictions such as the city of Spartanburg and Greenville County have had mixed success with implementing their own versions.

The city of Spartanburg's ordinance pertains only to drug-related activity. It says that a "known drug offender" whose actions raise "reasonable suspicion" that drug trafficking might be occurring can be arrested for loitering. But the law is "seldom if ever enforced," said Public Safety Director Tony Fisher, mostly because it is "exceedingly difficult" to enforce a law that is based on an officer's discretion.

Greenville County's ordinance extends beyond drug offenders and contains more lengthy definitions for what constitutes a "known" criminal. It defines a "known prostitute or panderer" as any person who has been convicted within one year of soliciting or committing prostitution. Anyone who fits the definition can be arrested for loitering if their actions indicate a crime could take place, such as fleeing when a law enforcement officer appears.

Greenville parks improve

Implemented in 2003, the ordinance helped clean up illegal sexual activity in Greenville County parks in 2005.

"It's been effective for us," said Greenville County Public Information Officer Michael Hildebrand, adding that the law is regularly enforced.

How a no-loitering ordinance specific to Spartanburg County would help is still unclear, but Miller and Valentine said they want it to specifically target drug users, sellers and prostitutes.

"If and when we get the ordinance, it doesn't mean we're going to snatch up everyone on the road," Valentine said. "But we also don't want something vague and open to interpretation."

Sheriff Wright agreed. "I'm looking for a tough ordinance that's going to show criminals we won't tolerate them anymore."

So I dug up Giani's "Rules of Mongering 101" and figured it can't be said enough and maybe it can help you new guys.

At the risk of repeating myself, here are my 13 rules of "Mongering 101."
Note rule #5:

1) Only carry as much $$ as you are willing to lose... I always stash all valuables (my wallet, extra cash, cell phone, etc.) in a hidden spot.

2) Be VERY cautious if the "SW" on the street looks TOO good i.e., in Cincinnati, they DON'T dress in stilettos, leopard prints, or other obvious hooker outfits. It smells of a sting.

3) Do not call attention to yourself by making a show out of the stop (no U turns, no flagrant traffic moves). Catch her eye and pull around the corner onto the next side street and let her come to you. Alternatively, go smoothly around the block, having caught her eye.

4) When you pull up, be willing to drive away if your close up impression of her through the window is not good. (Sores, too thin, wired, dirty & stinky, sullen or "dead" eyes? SWs are NEVER as good as your first impression driving by...) Tell her you thought she was someone else.

5) Ask her if she needs a ride. She should say "Yes" and hop right into the car. Do NOT negotiate through the window. The monger's acid test is that LE stinging decoys will NOT get into the car. Please: if anyone knows differently, let us know. [SWs, in order to stay out of jail, may occasionally be forced to serve as decoys. They may get into the car. But if you refrain from discussion business until you are out of the neighborhood, and certain you are not being tailed, you should be OK.] If she insists on negotiating through the window, tell her you thought she was someone else, a friend, and split. Watch out for tailing LE.

6) Once she is in the car, get IMMEDIATELY out of the neighborhood. (Local LE will stop you if they see a known SW in your car--take my word for it...) Cop a feel of her bare breasts to be SURE she isn't LE. She may grab your crotch to ensure that you aren't LE. Then get a crystal clear understanding of exactly what you want (covered or no, catch or no, swallow or no, etc) and for exactly how much (plus tip if satisfied). Extensive bargaining is a warning flag of a troublesome SW, and another reason to turn her out. And again, get out of the pick up neighborhood--I was once stopped by LE because he recognized the SW I had in the car.

7) Go to YOUR location unless given a good reason not to. HER location may include a male friend of hers who will rip you off. If she refuses your spot, you have another reason to turn her out. Be cautious of locations where you have no easy exit.

8) NEVER give up the $ before you are finished. You can pay a small token up front, but NEVER the whole amount. If she refuses, then thanks but no thanks. Once she has your money, it is problematic to turn her out. This includes fronting money so they can buy some "butter." Money in their hand may mean you will never get into their bush...

9) The use of drugs is can be a problem, but try to read what it might be. Crack leaves them still cogent, able to reason, may make them more enthusiastic and not totally out of it, in my experience. Heroin (dog food) addiction on the other hand leads to dangerous situations. Crack (in my experience) creates a dependancy, but not the kind of withdrawal that becomes an emergency for them. I have heard that crank can make them very horny--do not have direct experience. If they seem REALLY drugged up, another reason to turn them out. The difficult truth is that the vast majority of SWs do so to support some habit.

10) Do not let outside people get involved. No answering doors, no second girls, no nothing. You are asking for serious problems.

11) If confronted with a dangerous situation, do not get hostile or seriously argumentative. Tempers flair quickly, to what extent, you may not want to learn. GIVE IT UP. After all, you stashed your wallet, extra $$ and valuables elsewhere, right?

12) If you ARE ripped off, publicize the hell out of it on this board with as much descriptive detail as you can. Educate the rest of us about what mistakes you might not make again. Give a detailed description of the SW, her name, exactly where, when, how you connected.

13) Finally, try to get to know those SWs who ARE dependable. They can, and often are willing to advise you about dangerous, drugged out or HIV positive SWs. Remember however, even long-time dependable SWs should not have too much temptation placed in front of them--even they can "grab and run."

Stay safe--even if the thrill of the hunt is part of the deal.

I obtained a copy of the new ordinance that county council had it's third reading on this past Monday. It's now in effect.

Looks like Uncle Leo got his wish for Howard. You might want to read it so that you know the rules of the game, if you decide to participate. I anticipate immediate enforcement and an upcoming test of constitutionality. So, for now, I do not want to become a part of a test case.

Was in Spartanburg working so cruised through this afternoon. Saw 4 WSW around Howard two old ones a tall blonde with ponytail and a short,short haired blonde but they were not the best looking(by a long shot) . Saw several LE cars up and down Howard. No sign of Poca so I went to williams and nothing there. Saw three WSW on Sibley a nice brunette, a fair blonde and a fair brunette but too much other traffic to do a quick pick-up. They were gone by the time I circled around. On Stephen saw a real nice brunette but she disappeared into some trailers. further down saw a red head with a smokin body but her face showed quite a bit of age. Continued on around and back to new cut, saw a nice young brunette near the spanish sounding gas station an old fellow in a power chair had given her a ride to there. Made my way back and the Sherriff had several cars at the station looking like they were getting ready for a raid( putting on vests and gathering to discuss something) this of course made the brunette evaporate so I will look for her my next trip to Sparkle City. No joy but a couple of promising prospects! Stay safe !
