Guys thinking that LAPD undercover vice officers are bow wow's are sadly mistaken. They tend to recruit really hot looking, young officers to work the undercover vice assignments, and they switch them out a lot so that the same ones are not recognized over and over again.

I once read the actual laws on the books about prostitution and while I don't remember the details of everything cause it was in dense legalize, I do remember that I was struck by the fact that, in so many words, a monger can get busted for "intention" to monger. And "intention" comes in many forms:
1. Sure, if you negotiate and agree to a price for a sex act with an undercover LE, it's iron-clad. Intention is clear and they gotcha! But anybody with a week's experience isn't gonna hopefully do that!
2. If they stop you in a neighborhood "known for prostitution" and legally do a search for drugs/guns and find condoms, lube, viagra, etc, they got a case.
3. If you have a "known prostitute" (someone who has a record of prostitution) in the car or in a motel room and they stop you to investigate, they got a case.
4. If they simply observe you "cruising" in an area "known for prostitution", they got a case.
#4 is why the Pig is so dangerous, especially for a white guy. LE stops you and asks, "Are you lost? What are you doing here?" and it could be trouble, if you arouse suspicion for mongering. WTF are white guys cruising the Pig for anyway? Duh. If the ho's on the street are waving at you, it's a safe bet the vice or the LE in the cruiser sees you too! It's only a matter if they want to get into to it and bust your chops.
Basically, IMHO the best deal is avoiding LE period! While you're cruising. While you're picking up (even legitimate SWs). And while you're doing the deed, even in a notel. Can it be done 100% of the time? Not really. It's all about LUCK! And the fact that there aren't 100's of LE vice lurking on most tracks. Except on The Pig. While cruising Sepulveda between Roscoe and victory, I just have a cover story ready, that I am looking for Classy Lady off one of these side streets. Will it hold? The best thing to do is know the situation and your area. If you are uncertain just park and hang out. If there is sting or the cops are cracking down it will quickly be apparent. Sometimes I will just walk around to see what is happening.

Again LE shitting on the US Constitution, they don't care. They don't see it that way, they think there just helping the community.

All My Rant Aside, Don't waste your time with girls who aren't walking the track or who won't get into your car. To legally carry a Weapon it must be Unloaded, and have the ammunition or magazine locked in a separate area of the vehicle I.E. Trunk, and the weapon may not be locked in the glove box it must be in a Locked container. Most of the time you can get away with it, if you’re glove box locks, and you have a separate trunk.

I know this observation is entirely subjective (define "hot") but I've NEVER seen a female cop who was above a 7 on my scale. The only hard and fast rule I follow is to check out the area I'm cruising before I make any moves. Countless hours of driving, watching and listening have sharpened my "spidey senses". That's the best advice I feel I can give to anyone who partakes in this hobby - cruise, cruise, cruise. Know the terrain. And be prepared to let some nice looking pussy walk away because it just doesn't feel right. As a Sadist might say it; that's my rule. YOURS may be different.

While driving up a known track I spotted not one but two decent looking sw's, 1 bsw and 1 lsw. The bsw was cute and had a nice slim figure and the lsw was a little on the thick side but still good looking. Neither looked older than 24. Neither one was glued to one spot either. They did not travel far but they were moving.
The lsw had sparked my interest so I turned up a side street to make a block wrap around, instead of a risky u-turn. The street she was on was a major LA street, but the side street I was coming down was residential so I crept up very slowly, scanning the entire area for anything suspicious. Funny thing was I didn't have to look very far. About midway down this small side street was an unmarked LE crown victoria, with one LE officer (shiny badge visible even at night) and 3 more (attractive younger) girls standing outside of his car, one in his passenger seat, looking down towards the SW's on the corner. He had his radio up to his mouth when we made eye contact with each other and needless to say I left the area immediately. But this revealed to me 2 things; 1) LE decoys can be particularly deceptive as they were not stunning 10's nor were they old fat pigs as some have suggested. and 2) that LE is active in this particular area looking to bust mongers.

No way. All I'm saying is that it's pretty easy to determine if a girl is a decoy or not. There are three ways that come to mind;
1. Open your car window and see if you can detect the smell of bacon.
2. Scope her out. Scope out the area. Do the necessary recon. If something's going on you'll find out soon enough.
3. You will NEVER see a decoy wearing a skirt that shows ass, a shirt that's so low that titties are almost popping out, ect.
Consider how dangerous this hobby is and how much we have to lose by getting busted. If you don't have 15, 30, or even 45 minutes to waste cruising an area before you make your move then you deserve to get busted.

They separated us to ask questions and soon get conflicting stories and basically, I'm busted. She was no decoy. She was real, but LE was hanging out somewhere in the shadows----watching her and waiting for some fool like me to pick her up....and then following us. She wasn't LE, but because she wasn't moving, they used her like a decoy anyway! BSW bobbing on the corner like bait, looking real tasty to a young trout like me. I guess they hooked their fish.

Sorry to hear you got busted. Awhile back I remember that the cops were conducting a sting. The decoy refused to get in the car, so turned her down. This other guy pulled up and was thinking of warning him. The guy fell for the trap and got busted.
You made a several mistakes, which is easy to do. Under the law the you are not required to answer the door unless the cops have a warrant. You should have remained silent unless you had a lawyer. You should probably look into getting a lawyer who specializes in sex related cases. I will search when I get the chance and post his info.

I'm not sure exactly why they followed me to the no-tell instead of pulling me over. It was an unmarked "vice car", but they have the lights and shit too, right?
I think that maybe they were wanting to catch me in the sex act...in the car, or in the no-tell, so they followed waiting to see where I would go and what would happen.
Funny thing is that it was a popular, well-known no-tell just off Western, south of Sunset and these vice-officers acted like it was the first time they were there! One of them acted surprised that the little girl at the counter didn't "register" me in, but just gave me the room key. Like they actually fill out registration forms at no-tells! Duh? Maybe this was a vice squad in training and it was their first bust and I was their first turkey!
End of story is that they let me off with not much more than a big-ass warning that they'd be looking for me in the area in the future! Again, I don't know why. Like I said, maybe this was just a training mission for new vice officers and like good fisherman---they threw back the little fish. I was unlucky to get busted and lucky to get off without much damage.

Considering that these busts only yield Misdemeanor charges , they are tremendous drain on any PD's resources , especially in terms of man·hours
One of the main reasons the John busts are recorded is to avoid having to have the LEOs appear in court , burning up even more man·hours = once the 'perp' realizes he's on tape propositioning an UC·LEO , the only question is WHAT charge he'll plead Guilty to
And , Dog forbid you ever find your·self in this situation = try to cop a plea to Dis·orderly Conduct or some other such minor offense , because *second* busts on Prostitution charges often [ depending on the State ] carry much greater penalties , like vehicle impoundment or sex offender registration
... not to mention a lesser charge is easier to explain away to prospective employers , etc , who may learn of your Record

So far it is not Illegal to have consensual sex between to adults, Well you have to first make sure your both 18 or over, and then it's still legal as of the date of this post. Anyways when cops go to a motel room and catch two people having sex, it is not illegal it is only illegal if money, or anything of value I.E.; clothes, room, dinner are exchanged for said sexual activity. Sounds like dating to me, But the only way that can be proven is if One of said two or three if your lucky partys decide to turn on the other party even then it is very hard to make a case. If LE breaks in on two people having consensual sex it is a lawsuit waiting to happen if the girl has no priors for prostitution, it is an easy lawsuit to win. If no calls for help came from the room, and no one made a call reporting a crime the cops have no legal right to be there, well unless that has been thrown into the Patriot act as well. Needless to say, 10 minute deliberation and "not guilty".
Anywho, should be easy to prove that LAPD tapes stuff. But it might take you a while longer than it should. They don't tape jack.
Another method you could use is to ask any Los Angeles city attorney or more than a handful of Los Angeles County DA's. Or even a defense attorney.
LAPD does not record narcotics arrests or u/c stings, nor does it record u/c prostitution arrests of johns or ho's. Except in one case I know of where a LAPD narco unit started bringing in their own cameras and video recorders to counteract the exact things you pointed out.
As to the use of resources and the burning up of man hours....you totally misunderstand LAPD and Los Angeles politics in general. No one cares, except the poor citizens. See, Los Angeles politics places no priority whatsoever on crimes against property. House gets broken in, you might get the lazy ass cop assigned to the "u-boat" to come out about 8-10 hours later and take a crappy report with no prints and no hope of ever catching the criminal. Get your car broken into? You have to drive your car with no window to the police station. They will not come out.
Bratton has officially become an idiot if he does not recognize that the way to bust gang members and violent criminals in Los Angeles is to aggressively target gangs and also to aggressively target property crimes. Not only did LAPD NOT record it, the officer picked up the prostitute(a male off Santa Monica Bl in this case) and drove around for OVER 20 MINUTES before obtaining the violation.

Anywho, should be easy to prove that LAPD tapes stuff. But it might take you a while longer than it should. They don't tape jack.
Another method you could use is to ask any Los Angeles city attorney or more than a handful of Los Angeles County DA's. Or even a defense attorney.
LAPD does not record narcotics arrests or u/c stings, nor does it record u/c prostitution arrests of johns or ho's. Except in one case I know of where a LAPD narco unit started bringing in their own cameras and video recorders to counteract the exact things you pointed out.
As to the use of resources and the burning up of man hours....you totally misunderstand LAPD and Los Angeles politics in general. No one cares, except the poor citizens. See, Los Angeles politics places no priority whatsoever on crimes against property. House gets broken in, you might get the lazy ass cop assigned to the "u-boat" to come out about 8-10 hours later and take a crappy report with no prints and no hope of ever catching the criminal. Get your car broken into? You have to drive your car with no window to the police station. They will not come out.
Bratton has officially become an idiot if he does not recognize that the way to bust gang members and violent criminals in Los Angeles is to aggressively target gangs and also to aggressively target property crimes. But I doubt the left wingers with COMMUNIST views and IDEOLOGIES on the city council will allow the police department to take that direction. Los Angeles political inner circles run heavily communist/socialist. Promotion of government provided housing, food, jobs, etc is the ideology and seminars promoting the use of Marxism in a post 9/11 society are not uncommon.
In a normal democratic political system with a capitalist economy, the two most important functions of government are protection of it's citizens and protection of their property. However in a communist/socialist society, the overriding function is soley protection of the citizenry. The reason is that the government will spend most of its money taking care of citizens by providing them with housing, jobs, food and other basic necessities. There is no concern for material goods as everyone is "equal"(heh, tho some are more "equal" than others). Therefore no reason for law enforcement to concern themselves with property crimes.

Actually I am vastly in favor of decriminalizing "victimless crimes", including narcotics and prostitution.
Frankly, our entire political system is messed up. I want to say that each person should be left to their own devices. If someone wants to smoke, and knows they will eventually get cancer due to it, so be it. But our left wing, pro big government push since the early 30's has left us in an untenable position since "society" now has to take care of this individual who has made the choice to damage his/her body. The answer of course is that government(aka society aka a "village"....I've never heard more orwellian language used) ought not take care of people.....they should be able to pay for their own health care up to their means...and then, well, be sick and face the consequences of a poor decision.
Really government should not be in our personal lives at all, within the bounds of the constitution. No need, nor enough good done, by public schools, health care, insurance, welfare, et al.

America has always been a conservative country. But the far right has hijacked the word "conservative" and perverted its meaning. It makes me ill. The Republican Party founders adopted the name "Republican" to indicate it was the carrier of "republican" beliefs about civic virtue, and opposition to aristocracy and corruption. LOL! Chill dude. I was just fucking with you. And you're right. Kind of. My mistake way using quotation marks in the first place. I should have rephrased the sentence. Or used italics. But I'm lazy. And yes you'll find numerous typos throughout my posting history. Have fun looking at all of them. And you don't need to capitalize the second letter after a hyphen unless it is an official name or a proper noun. Therefore you should not have capitalized winger. This does not take into consideration such things as anti pornography distribution laws(which local governments are able to properly and constitutionally regulate), prostitution laws and anti narcotics laws both of which are largely supported by boths sides, or abortion which incorrectly is set up as a nationwide law.
Can you really cite a tremendous influence the religious right has on politics other than on the above subjects? Even in electing George Bush, it was almost entirely due to the expected influence on one issue...abortion(which is entirely lame since like 35 states had legal abortion prior to Roe anyway).
OTOH, the socialist left, due to the commerce clause and also due to the push of "the great society", is able to implement virtually unlimited government influence by redistributing money. There is no supreme court challenge to most of these programs, and in the cases where there is(emminent domain), the supreme court rules in their favor.

The last few months have been interesting times. As friends and coworkers cued me into the fact that Sepulveda was fast becoming an LAPD warzone, I have blatently hit some of the hottest new girls I have seen in years. I saw the most legit action I have seen in a while today. I was driving to my favorite non liqour licensed drug store, and I must have seen about 8 SW's in the area of one block. Friday Night was an adventure, I saw what I was sure was an LE sting two 10 latinas near the Valley Ball, I would have easily dropped pretty much any amount of money on them, to suspicious I waited and waited while nothin happened except two others stopped watching not sure if they were LE or mongers scoping out everything, eventually she got in a car and didn't see LE, although LE ghetto bird was flying in the air, and le was in the area the car took off quickly, and I can't confirm either way although I am pretty sure le isn't getting into cars yet that would be a huge change, and I don't belive they are ready to risk that, although le does follow working girls to catch people in the act, that aside this girl was a 10. Amen to that! Anything wearing denim, no matter how cute, how inviting is to be avoided, especially on SB. Also, the real thing rarely wears a bra (although some of the best I have had did-but that's another story). If it looks suspicious, pass it up.

She passes us without a nod, a smile, a look at either of us. He roars back into traffic. I ease forward and make the same round the block move....now the guys waiting for her are gone and logically, so is she.
Point here is: It looks like nothing is going on during the day on Sepulveda....until you put a hot dish on the table and then suddenly, there's a "feeding frenzy". Some may say Sepulveda is "dead", but not for the mongers. They seem to be out there at all times, cruising in force, watching, waiting for that girl with the skinny legs and the big melons up top. When she appears, the traffic jams up and 4 guys are all at once, in a race, moving in for that stolen taste.

Yeah, I saw her, and even tried to talk to her, with no success. I saw the horse patrols a block up as I was circling to come back to her. I tried to call out to her to warn her about the horse patrols, but of course she ignored me.
The really weird thing about it was that she got stopped by the horse patrols at Vose St., had about a 20 min. conversation in which they did NOT cuff her like the did the girls yesterday, and about 10 minutes later I saw her walking again across Sherman Way, meaning that they let her go, meaning that my guess would be that she is a (damn hot) LE decoy.
She looked a lot like this girl, Tanya that I used to date, she always hung out on Valerio, by where they run the stings, and only on Tuesday and Thursdays, but she was real, and apparently this girl wasn't her.
I would proceed with ultimate caution.
Glad to see Sepulveda is warming back up.
Well, she wasn't anywhere to be seen this evening (about 11:40 pm) nor were the horse patrols, so you can draw your own conclusions about whether or not she was just a high quality UC LE decoy.

Reasons:
1. She was young and ghetto. The decoys I've seen ("WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?") always seem to be a bit older and more along the lines of "drab" rather than fab. Usually more of a white trash look, than younger black ghetto hotties.
2. She was walking, not standing in one spot on a corner, or just sitting on a bus stop. Legitimate street walkers all walk.
3. She didn't get all interested in everybody's attention and call anyone over, but just kept walking, maybe looking for the right situation herself....since she had a variety to choose from.
4. She was GONE when I got around the corner again in about 2 minutes...as were the 2 mongers who were waitiing on the side street. Based on Web's report on Friday, I was encouraged to go out Saturday night. Hit the blvd at about 2am. Saw 2 overweight hispanic girls North of SW on East side, made a note to come back if nothing else available. Police nabbed 13 people during an overnight prostitution sting in the Valley.
The operation, conducted between 8 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday, occurred near Sepulveda Boulevard and Rayen Street in North Hills.
Undercover female police officers who posed as prostitutes lured and arrested violators, known as "Johns," who stopped and solicited them for sex.
Officers also impounded 9 vehicles belonging to the violators, using a city ordinance enacted in 2005.
The City Attorney's Office will determine what fines to be assessed against the arrestees in order for them to get their vehicles back. In some cases, vehicles will be auctioned off, according to police.

You guys are right. SB is dead. I have made several runs in the past few days (daytime). I have seen the occasional BSW walking SB. Most btw Victory and Sherman Way. Nothing worth picking up. LE was not bad durring the day. Wish I had something better.
Has anyone seen anything on SF Road lately. There were some posts a while back.

90% of girls on SB do bj for 40 and f/s for 60, some are 80 but few are worth it on SB. There are some lookers from time to time,
San Fernando Rd between Hubbard & roxford has been dead for a long time the only 2 girls I have seen wouldn't even look good in Downtown Skid Row area.
Sepulveda Daytime was slow the last few days I checked, very slow I did see 1 girl who looked promising but she was gone before I turned around.

I saw 3 BSW (one 8 and two 6's) and 1 WSW on Vose / Sepulveda tonight at 1:40 ish.
Last night I observed 1 W or Latin s/w on Vose and Sepulveda, Not sure if she was LE or Not, She never got in a car, I did see two cars parked guys laying low, and not moving just parked watching I am sure some mongers do that, but it seemed that these cars were more intrested in the cars around and who did what then picking up the girl a few minutes later a bsw appeared, nothing else those cars never moved, and they were parked in two diffrent spots, I think LAPD is changing tactics a bit and using more of the follow then bust routine, I was driving around the block to make a u-turn and this lady had a video camera out, yelling at some guy she thought he was a monger but the poor guy was just moving a bag of grocery's that fell over he was pissed I guess they spilled but the video vigilante ***** and her huisband started cursing the guy for stopping there it was funny cause the guy finally told her to go fuck herself. The vidoe vigilante was at the N/E corner of Hart & Peach the lady was so proud of her new city installed No Stopping signs
she went off on an innocent person, spilled grocerys and a ***** fest poor guy. I for one know where I am dumping my used rubbers even if it means a drive.

Sepulveda has been a track since way back a guy I worked with said it was a track when he was 20 so I know for sure that's a good 40 years. My little spinner from previous engagements wouldn't answer her dang phone, so I tried a new one. Good choice too, .6 for fs, friendly and unrushed. Maybe this one will actually answer her phone next time round...

Personal opinion, anthing up around Valley Ball area is bottom of the barrel...There's much better pickin's to be had to the south.
Although LA is a big city, if you watch carefully, you'll begin to recognize what belongs and what doesn't on the track. Watch out for yourselves!

Half the theory is good, ya you have a beater car you can walk away from, here is the problem if they take you car it means you got busted as well!
Avoid getting busted in the end a beater car will save you the $ if your car got siezed, but is it worth the insurance and upkeep etc.

Good in theory to have fun, Bad in practice, LAPD will pull you over tear up your car, waste a good 10-30 minutes threaten you with arrest and worst of all, they might just take you to jail for some bullshit disturbing the peace charge, ya you have the right to say it and they have the right to take you to jail. Better to let the bad piggy sleep, unless you feel the need to be a good citizen and report the "Hookers" to the police if you observe a weapon or a gun let the dispatcher know that there is a man with a gun and give a good description, if your lucky the police will arrest the suspect, or at least detain them for a bit, I always feel better when I do my part to help the community, and report all illegal activity, better the bad guys get stopped then me ;)

SB's not really dead if your timing is right. I get to see a reasonable amount of activity all during the same time frame. You just have to know when to go.
Here's one of a crew of three between Sherman Way and Vanowen today around 3. Saw one monger in a brand new Avalanche being a little too obvious. Just imagined having to surrender that ride!
Nothing, was in the area drove it Nothing out.
Not that it's a surprise.
Saw a few cute regular girls though made the drive fun.

I saw a few girls on SFR, by the doughnut shop. One was very young ad pretty hispanic with a great body. But they kept walking the the back alley and there where alot of cars around so it made me nervous. This was around 7:00 pm.

In one of the more bizarre experiences I have had, I was driving on Woodman near Saticoy around 11 this morning. I saw Melanie out walking. I had picked her up about 3 years ago on Century in Inglewood and again on Sunset in Hollywood and then a year or so ago on Sepulveda near Victory. Shes an attractive dirty blonde with a saggy body(due to 2 pregnancies). Fully dressed, she looks really hot though. Anyway, she was wearing denim booty shorts and high heels. She had told me she lived in Panorama City. Probably just walking to the market or bus or something, but she was dressed to impress. Then on the way back 20 minutes later, I see another tatted up white girl....not sure if she was an sw, but it is possible. She was walking while on her cell a few blocks north of Ralphs.

After she crossed Sherman she jumped into a white minivan and left. Anybody out there get lucky with this one? Good to see things are picking up again.
