Hi everybody,
I am really glad I recently found this place as the other outlets have really come to be awful. I've been using SW's, cg's and strippers from time to time for nearly 30 years. Both here and through extensive travel. Yes, I'm way old, 49. I spent much time yesterday reading and catching up on these forums. You guys do a great job here. I will contribute when I have something for you all but you seem to have extremely comprehensive coverage of all areas in the metro and I'm not sure what I can ad. Whostheman, you do owe Nikki an apology. She is in here trying to help all of us, even you, safe. I met Nikki about two years ago and did not get busted after meeting her. Just about a month ago, I talk to here several times to set up a date with Stacey. I met Stacey and again, I did not get busted. So, if you want to be leary of her, then go ahead. But do not try to drag her name thru the mud in here.
I have never seen her, but read this and several other forums/boards. I have no doubt she is a decent person and means well. I only say that half-jokingly. I know many cops don't pick up ladies for dates. But, as in any business, there's always a few bad apples.

Were the posts on CL regarding Gina for real or someone playing games. Could not really tell. Been chatting with her via email and she was firm on wanting $$. 5 for a session, nothing less. Thanks for your input, Captain. I wasn't asking about the dollar amount in rent you received from the ladies, but just if you cut them a special deal in Rent in return for the occasional special favor <wink>. But there's no need to answer that question, if you don't want to.
I wouldn't want Gina using drugs either if she happened to live with me. I understand 100-percent that you don't want the police nosing around your house because of ladies using substances or providing.
I'd also be worried about drug users (the ladies) stealing pawnable stuff from my house while I wasn't around. How do you prevent that?

Since St. Louis is on the west side of the Mississippi River (in *Missouri*) and the city of East St. Louis is on the east side of the river (in *Illinois*), things can understandably get a little confusing.

StLPlyr: The other provider likes Gina. But get along? It’s never easy for 2 women in the same house to get along, Especially when one has emotions for the Man of The House. There is a vast difference between a SW and a True Provider. The game is played so much differently.
On a more serious note the other provider has worked out great guys. She is good at what she does and not only pays her rent but shares her wealth. She is somewhat domesticated. She cooked a great meal for my other roommate and I last night. And I believe we’ll be eating Phat tonight as well.

I’M not quite as seasoned as Rosco2 or Jannisary but know the game well. For those who like the sport of SWs be very careful some not all have people (boyfriends or pimps) watching out for them. Know the playground where you play! In the few years I have been playing the game I have had only one bad experience where I thought I was a dead man. Dude came at me with a crowbar. The whole experience was strange. The following day I saw both the SW and her boyfriend standing next to their belongings in the street because they had been evicted from their apartment. No bullshit. When I stopped that big ass dude with the crowbar just broke down and cried on my shoulder. So yes I got some heart for these SWs. Not all these gals are out here for the same reasons. If that night would have had been about drugs I would have been a dead man. This happened on the South Side Stroll.
Now in my ventures I have found some pretty awesome F***s out there on the South Side Stroll. Not many but a few that keeps me lured to the streets. Some of these SWs can be real Ghetto to. Meaning they carry weapons on themselves.

Stopped by one night about a year ago. Was not expecting much. There was one dancer, got down to a bikini. There was a bar between the stage and the customers.

The number in his user-name was not a telephone number though--just some series of 7 or 8 numbers that had some special meaning to him, or perhaps no special meaning at all. Maryland Heights police said Jessica Blackburx, 27, arrived at the home in the 11900 block of Midvale Drive, walked into the residence, and then immediately left. Then, two armed men, Eddrick Harrix and Perry Richardsox walked in and told the victims it was a robbery.
One of the three victims was able to run to the back of the residence and call police.
Police took Blackburn Harris and Richardson into custody.
Prosecutors charged Blackburn with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. She is being held on a $50 thousand bond.
Harris and Richardson are charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and two counts of armed criminal action. Bond for each of the men is set at $75 thousand.
I hope they all three get put away for a while.

Sooner or later this was bound to catch up with her and her boys.

The Post-Dispatch updated the story today by adding the following details.
Angel arrived at the residence at 3:30 AM Friday morning (Thursday night).
The two men with her who robbed the place are 20 and 21 years of age, so Angel, at 27, is the oldest of the trio.
Officers arrested the trio in the car they were driving. The robbers had 2 guns in the car along with goods stolen from the house.

Did the Broadway loop in the day to no avail Wednesday, however, went back last night around 7:30sh, as I was heading South down Broadway, about 1/2 mile from Bates. Like Spitzer - who made his name as a swashbuckling Attorney General taking on Wall Street - Peach framed himself as a crusader for morality and justice. That is until 1992, when he was busted at a hotel near Lambert Field soliciting a woman for sex that he thought was a prostitute - but turned out to be an undercover St. Louis County police officer on vice duty.
The rest of the sordid tale - how Peach was using city funds to book hotel rooms and taking calls from pimps in his city office - was captured in an investigative blockbuster in the Post-Dispatch by the dynamic reporting duo of Lou Rose and Michael Sorkin.
Here’s a sample of the reporting, which was one of the finalists for the 1993 Pulitzer Prize:
George Peach, the tough-talking, law and order prosecutor, had been leading a double life.
In the past decade, Peach frequently met prostitutes at many of the area’s best-known hotels, according to call girls, madams and a pimp interviewed by reporters.
“He was a regular customer for years,” said Mara Montague, a convicted madam.
And a procurer, “Louis,” told the Post-Dispatch that Peach had used him as a source for call girls for 10 years - until the night in March when Peach was arrested for soliciting a prostitute.

If you can get to the east side, the Hustler store in Washington Park (attached to the Larry Flynt Hustler club) has a pretty large selection. But their prices suck. Closer to downtown is the Pure Pleasure at 2626 North Broadway Blvd, between the McKinley and MLK bridges.

A hearing on Edwardsville attorney Thomas Maag's motion to suppress evidence in a misdemeanor case that alleges he solicited a prostitute has been rescheduled until 10 a.m. on April 29.
The hearing was originally set for Feb. 25, but Maag filed a motion to continue, which reset it until April 10. Two days before the hearing, Madison County Assistant State's Attorney Thomas Gibbons asked to continue the hearing because the female detective that Maag allegedly solicited was scheduled to attend an out-of-town seminar.
Maag was arrested for soliciting a prostitute by the Granite City Police Department on Nov. 2, 2007. He has been free on a $105 bail.
Five other individuals were also arrested by Granite City police during the undercover sting.
Maag, 32, of Highland, is the son of former Illinois Appellate Court Judge Gordon Maag, who unsuccessfully ran for the Illinois Supreme Court in 2004.
His lawyer, Clyde Kuehn of Belleville, worked with Maag's father on the appellate court.
At the April 29, hearing Maag will try to convince Madison County Associate Circuit Judge Stephen Stobbs to suppress evidence that police removed from his person because he claims he was arrested before officers developed the necessary probable cause for doing so.

Kuehn will also argue that Maag was arrested before police acquired an arrest warrant.
According to court filings, Kuehn will argue that both the Illinois and U.S. Constitution requires that a person has the right to be free from unreasonable search and seizures.

The charges against Maag state, "Defendant contacted Detective Lori Perkins, a person who is not his spouse, and offered her $150 U.S. Currency to perform an act of sexual penetration as defined in 720 ILCS 5/12-12 (f), in violation of 720 ILCS 5/11-14.1 (a), and against the peace and dignity of the said People of the State of Illinois."

Two days before the hearing, Madison County Assistant State's Attorney Thomas Gibbons asked to continue the hearing because the female detective that Maag allegedly solicited was scheduled to attend an out-of-town seminar.
Maag was arrested for soliciting a prostitute by the Granite City Police Department on Nov. 2, 2007. He has been free on a $105 bail.
Five other individuals were also arrested by Granite City police during the undercover sting.
Maag, 32, of Highland, is the son of former Illinois Appellate Court Judge Gordon Maag, who unsuccessfully ran for the Illinois Supreme Court in 2004.
His lawyer, Clyde Kuehn of Belleville, worked with Maag's father on the appellate court.
At the April 29, hearing Maag will try to convince Madison County Associate Circuit Judge Stephen Stobbs to suppress evidence that police removed from his person because he claims he was arrested before officers developed the necessary probable cause for doing so.

Kuehn will also argue that Maag was arrested before police acquired an arrest warrant.
According to court filings, Kuehn will argue that both the Illinois and U.S. Constitution requires that a person has the right to be free from unreasonable search and seizures.
In the motion to suppress, Kuehn wrote, "The items of evidence seized were the direct and proximate result of an illegal arrest, and being derivative of that illegality, constitute fruit of the poisonous tree."
The charges against Maag state, "Defendant contacted Detective Lori Perkins, a person who is not his spouse, and offered her $150 U.S. Currency to perform an act of sexual penetration as defined in 720 ILCS 5/12-12 (f), in violation of 720 ILCS 5/11-14.1 (a), and against the peace and dignity of the said People of the State of Illinois."

I wouldn't go that far. His motion to suppress is a standard one: the police had not developed probable cause ("information sufficient to warrant a prudent person's belief that the wanted individual had committed a crime") by the time they arrested him, so everything after that is void. But the crime he is alleged to have committed, solicitation, is to have "offered a person not his or her spouse any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value to perform any act of sexual penetration or any touching or fondling of the sex organs of one person by another person for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification." One can always argue in cases like these about whether the police let the transaction go far enough before they swooped in. Without knowing a lot about the facts of this case, I would expect a judge to rule that a reasonably prudent police officer could have believed that he was offering her money in exchange for sex, not in exchange for a pair of sneakers or as a charitable contribution.

You guys wanna see something neat? At Maps.Google.Com, if you zoom in on the McKinley Bridge in satellite view, you'll see a large portion of the bridge missing. A big section of the bridge is totally gone in the photo!
The satellite photo must have been taken before the bridge was reopened a few months back after undergoing 6 years of maintenance work and reconstruction.
For those who may not know, the McKinley Bridge is a couple miles north of downtown. I've used it to cross the Mississippi to get to the strip clubs in Brooklyn, IL.

Edwardsville attorney Thomas Maag testified that on the night of Nov. 2, 2007, he thought he was getting mugged, not arrested by the Granite City police for soliciting a sex act.
At a hearing before Madison County Associate Judge Steve Stobbs on April 29, Maag said he was walking down a sidewalk by himself, heard movement, and then five or six police officers tackled him to the ground, handcuffed him and began to search him.
Maag was then arrested for soliciting a prostitute. Charges were later amended to soliciting a sexual act, a class B misdemeanor.
The hearing was held to decide whether evidence police inventoried from Maag at the time of his arrest should be suppressed. Maag's attorney, Clyde Kuehn of Belleville, argued that Maag was arrested before officers developed the necessary probable cause for doing so.
Kuehn is a former appellate court judge.
The transcript
At the hearing, Kuehn asked Maag if he was doing anything illegal at the time he was arrested.
"Only if walking down the sidewalk in Granite City is illegal," Maag said.
In addition to his person, Maag testified that police also searched his car, which was parked and locked.
Maag's co-counsel, Michael Reid of the Verett & Reid Law Office, also asked Maag questions.
Reid asked, "Mr. Maag, did you suffer any injuries when you were tackled?"
"I'm not sure. I'm not a doctor," Maag responded.
Maag also testified he was about 50 or 60 feet away from his car when arrested, his keys were in his pocket and that his billfold was in his car.
Contradictory statement
Madison County Assistant State's Attorney Tom Gibbons also questioned Maag.
He asked, "Mr. Maag, isn't it true that when you were taken into custody you were -- you were located on the property of 2805 Benton?"
"I don't know what the address is where I was," Maag responded. "I was not on any property that I knew to be a prohibited place for me to be."
The charges against Maag state, "Defendant contacted Detective Lori Perkins, a person who is not his spouse, and offered her $150 U.S. Currency to perform an act of sexual penetration as defined in 720 ILCS 5/12-12 (f), in violation of 720 ILCS 5/11-14.1 (a), and against the peace and dignity of the said People of the State of Illinois."
Gibbons asked, "Isn't it true that you had telephone conversations with what turns out to be Detective Lori Perkins prior to your arrival at that location?"
"That would require me to speculate," Maag answered.
Maag testified that he was talking to a female on the phone several minutes before his arrest.
He was asked whether the topic of a "girlfriend experience" or "sex" was ever brought up during his discussion and Maag said that they were not.
Gibbons asked, "Mr. Maag, isn't it true that you visited the Erotic Services section of the Craig's List Internet Directory?"
"I did visit the Craig's List directory," Maag testified. "I couldn't tell you what section, and for the record, Craig's List is full of lots of things, including motorcycle ads."
When Gibbons showed Maag a copy of an ad from Craigslist, Maag testified he did not think that was the ad he looked at because the telephone number on the ad he looked at was in brackets.
"I may be wrong, but it is my recollection that the phone number was in brackets," Maag added. "I don't know if there is any other difference or not, but that is my recollection."
Gibbons asked Maag if he was inside the boundaries of the property where he was taken into custody.
"Do you have a map, I'm not familiar with the geography of this area, so I'm somewhat at a disadvantage," Maag said.
Maag was shown a map of the location, but was still unable to recognize the location.
"This map is not helpful to me," Maag said. "It appears to be an aerial photograph, not a map."
Maag was asked where he parked his vehicle.
"It is my belief I was parked at the City park," Maag testified.
Maag later added, "Let's assume for the purpose of this discussion that I was parked directly across the street from this blue house."
Gibbons asked, "Are you -- are you testifying that you were across the street from the house when you were arrested?"
"No, I'm not testifying. I'm saying for purposes of trying to explain to you how far away my car was to me, I'm trying to give you a demonstrable aid," Maag responded.
Gibbons asked, "And just as an approximation, you testified earlier that was 50, 60 feet?"
Maag answered, "Give or take a little."
Gibbons asked, "Approximately to the north of the place where you were taken into custody?"
"I don't know compass directions there," Maag answered.
Gibbons asked how much money Maag had with him.
"Mr. Maag, isn't it true that at the time you were taken into custody that you were in possession of $155 in cash?" Gibbons asked.
"No," Maag said. "That is actually a false statement."
"How much money were you in possession of?" Gibbons asked.
"I don't remember exactly," Maag said. "I remember it was mostly one dollar bills."
Gibbons asked, "So, you don't know the exact amount?"
"I don't know the exact amount, but I know it wasn't $155," Maag answered.
Gibbons asked, "Okay. And how do you know that?"
"Because there was money missing from my wallet that was in my car," Maag answered.
Gibbons asked "So, you had money on you at the time?"
Maag responded, "I'll bet you have money on you, too."
Maag answered that he "maybe" had a telephone conversation about a "girlfriend experience." But when answering a follow-up question from Gibbons, he said he "never" mentioned a girlfriend experience.
Maag testified that he was only looking for "fun."
Gibbons asked, "So, you would state that you did make a phone call in an effort to have some fun?"
Maag responded, "Yes."
"To meet a girl who advertised on Craig's List?"
"Yes."
But Maag testified that the word "sex" was never mentioned and if it was he would have immediately terminated the conversation and that "rates" were never brought up.
Maag responded "no," when asked if he was given an address to go to.
Gibbons asked, "Isn't it true that you were told to call back when you reached the location of Madison and 27th?"
"I was told to call when I got to Schnucks," Maag testified. "I don't know what the address of Schnucks is."
"But, previously you identified the envelope with your handwriting that Madison and 27th at Schnucks on it," Gibbons asked.
Maag answered, "I don't remember what the directions say. They say what they say."
"But, those were your handwritten directions?" Gibbons asked.
"They appear to be," Maag answered.
"And those were made pursuant to this meeting or pursuing this meeting?" Gibbons asked.
Maag answered, "They were written about the same time."
Maag also said that he also knew someone who lived in a two or three block area of where he was arrested but was not on his way to visit them and has never been to their home.
Maag said his friend's name was "Dawn," but he would not give her last name and also did not know it because she recently was married and was a paralegal in the area.
He was also asked if he was married.
"I have never been married," Maag said.
Gibbons asked, "And the person you were having this conversation with was not your spouse, correct?"
"Well, that could be a logical inference based on the fact that I have never been married," Maag replied.
When Gibbons finished his line of questioning, Reid had further questions for Maag.
Maag said that he practices safe sex, has carried condoms on him in the past, that he was not looking to be a "pimp" and had never had sex with a prostitute.
Detective Perkins with the Granite City Police Department was also called to testify.
She testified that through various phone conversations with Maag, it was determined that Maag would pay her $150 for an hour of time together to include sexual intercourse.
Perkins testified that at first Maag would not answer whether he wanted to have a girlfriend experience but once she told him that she had to get off the phone, then he agreed.
Perkins said that Maag said his name was "Brad" during the telephone calls and that she gave him directions to the sting operation.
She said she was on the phone with Maag when he drove by the window she was stationed at and when he parked his car near Wilson Park, she notified officers waiting outside that it was okay to arrest him.
Stobbs took the motion under advisement and said that he would rule on the case soon.

I don't mean to insult your legal acumen -- for all I know, you're a lawyer with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell -- but that is exactly the opposite impression I got from the transcript passages. Instead, I got the impression that Mr. Maag's lawyer, Mr. Kuehn, had no control over his client, allowing Maag to give smartass answers that could upset Judge Stobbs and lead to him ruling in favor of the prosecution. But what do I know? As they say, on the internet, nobody knows you're a dog. Woof.

I, too, count myself among the few attorneys that take cases to trial, even though the general public believes every lawyer tries several cases each week, thanks to L. A. Law and other TV shows.
But the earlier excerpt quoted left me with the same impression as Mr. Keaton. Maag got eaten alive by his testimony and must be too ignorant to know it.
Each of his smart-alecky responses either helped make the case for the State, or just as significantly, undermined Maag's ability to refute what another witness for the State will establish as an evidentiary point. "I don't know's" actually hurt your case when someone else "knows. " And remember, sarcasm which may be pointed and emotionally effective in person, falls hopelessly flat in a lifeless record. Better to be contrite, respectful and treat the matter seriously, so that judge might actually bend over to help you, rather than the reverse (I. E. Help you bend over). But Maag will have enough time for that, after sentencing.
Its clear to me that Maag cooked his own goose, and didn't even smell the smoke. He corroborated the essential elements of the State's case. And without Daddy on the higher court, there'll be no opportunity to clean up his "two" lawyer's sloppy result on appeal.

Maag was arrested by the Granite City Police Department for soliciting a prostitute on Nov. 2. Charges were later amended to soliciting a sexual act, a class B misdemeanor. Maag posted $105 bail shortly after his arrest.
Maag, 32, of Highland, is the son of former Illinois Appellate Court Judge Gordon Maag, who unsuccessfully ran for the Illinois Supreme Court in 2004.
In his motion to suppress, Maag argued that evidence that police inventoried should be suppressed because he was arrested before officers had developed the necessary probable cause for doing so.
He also argued that he was arrested before police acquired an arrest warrant.
Represented by Clyde Kuehn of Belleville, Maag argued that both the Illinois and United States Constitution requires that a person has the right to be free from unreasonable search and seizures.
"The items of evidence seized were the direct and proximate result of an illegal arrest, and being derivative of that illegality, constitute fruit of the poisonous tree," Kuehn wrote.
Stobbs heard arguments on the matter April 29, and took the case under advisement. He issued his four-page order May 1.
In the order, Stobbs said that Maag had the burden of proof that a particular search and seizure of evidence is unlawful.
Stobbs ruled that there was probable cause to arrest Maag and also ruled that the testimony of Detective Lori Perkins was credible.
Perkins testified that the night Maag was arrested, he contacted her by telephone in response to an advertisement the Granite City Police Department posted on the website "Craig's List" under the erotic services category.
Perkins also testified that Maag agreed to pay her $150 dollars for a one-hour meeting which would include sexual intercourse.
She testified that she gave Maag an address in Granite City where he was to meet her and told him to call when he was close so that she could direct him to the residence.
Perkins testified that Maag arrived in a silver or grey car and that Maag confirmed that he was the one in the vehicle that passed by her window.
She testified that once Maag confirmed that he had arrived, she notified the arresting officers outside the residence that Maag was the one to be arrested.
After Maag's arrest, and over his objection, Maag's vehicle was searched along with his person.
"The Defendant was in possession of money both on his person and in his wallet which was located in his vehicle," Stobbs wrote.
Stobbs also rejected Maag's argument that the search of his vehicle following his arrest violated his rights guaranteed by article I section six of the Illinois Constitution and the fourth amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Stobbs ruled that since Maag's first contact with police occurred while he was inside his vehicle on a cellular phone, the search was consistent with applicable case law regarding vehicle searches.
In addition to Maag, five other individuals were arrested by the Granite City Police Department during the undercover prostitution sting.
They have all pleaded guilty to the charges, were fined and placed on court supervision.

Feds investigate suspected international prostitution ring

St. Louis — Immigration authorities have uncovered what they believe was an
international ring that used a free newspaper and popular Internet site to
advertise massage services that were a front for prostitutes, federal court
documents state.
The investigation centers around Maco Chor Sing Yeung, 51, of Hong Kong, who
was in court here Friday for a preliminary hearing. Prosecutors charged Yeung
on Wednesday last week with a single felony count of inducing an alien to
reside in the U.S. in violation of the law. They also want him held until
trial, suggesting that he is a flight risk.
Yeung's public defender declined to comment on the case. No information was
available on where Yeung was arrested.
An affidavit filed in court by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Special
Agent Tyson Imming lays out the investigation this way:
St. Peters police first alerted the immigration agency in January after they
arrested a suspected prostitute and a customer who was alleged to have
assaulted her.
The man told police he had answered an ad in the back of the Riverfront Times
promoting "Beautiful Asian Body Sensation" and performed a sex act with the
woman in a St. Peters motel. The fee, according to the ad, was $160 for 50
minutes.
Yeung told police that he had helped the woman, a 42-year-old on a tourist visa
from Taiwan, set up an ad on Craigslist.org but got no money for his aid.
The woman left the country but was caught trying to return March 6 and was
turned away.
Then the immigration agency discovered that Yeung had paid for the hotel room
for six weeks, in cash. Yeung rented another room at a St. Charles motel on
Feb. 12, and would eventually pay for about six more weeks.
At the same time, more ads ran in the Riverfront Times and on Craigslist,
advertising "Asian body sensation" at $160 for 45 minutes.
A Maryland Heights police detective participated in a sting on March 20,
arresting a second suspected prostitute, who was wearing a negligee.
The woman told investigators that she had entered the U.S. illegally in 2001
and was a prostitute. Agents asked if she'd been forced into prostitution and
whether she was able to leave at any time. She denied anyone "forced her to do
anything she didn't want to do," the affidavit states.
On April 8, an agent subpoenaed advertising and billing records from the
Riverfront Times and learned that Yeung, using another name, had bought ads as
far back as January 2007.
In an interview with federal agents May 20, Yeung, through a Cantonese
interpreter, denied being involved with prostitution and said that he had
rented rooms for five women in the St. Louis area and brought several women
from Chicago. Others arrived on their own.
Yeung said that he was helping the women rent the rooms because they didn't
speak English, according to court records. He also said that he suspected they
might be involved in prostitution, but he didn't ask.
At the same time Yeung was being interviewed, other agents called the number
used in the ads and met another negligee-clad woman from Taiwan in an Earth
City motel room. They found $8,770 in cash in the freezer of the room's small
refrigerator and a notebook with dates and dollar amounts, "consistent with
prostitution ledgers," the affidavit states.
The woman told agents that she had entered the country illegally with a tourist
visa.

I tried to register and got nowhere. It is still up, just to those that have already signed up....at least it is on my firefox browser. It won't come up on IE.
Membership to the site was actuall frozen a little before the article came out. It was frozen due to the exponential increase in members. It went from a couple of hundred to over three thousand in a couple of months. Membership may be unfrozen in a few months. The group has tried to stay UTR, and locked it a little tighter after the article came out. Most were not happy about the article.

2 Metro Workers Arrested on Prostitution Charges

A Metro station manager and a Metro custodian have been arrested on prostitution charges. Transit police say they arranged sexual encounters from inside the Dupont Circle station.
According to court documents, station manager Sharon Waters told an undercover officer that she could arrange meetings with prostitutes for him. Police say Waters used the Metro loud speaker system to page custodian Pam Goins. They say Goins agreed to meet the officer on another day for sex. Both were arrested last week.
The undercover officer approached Waters after police obtained a flier advertising sex trips to Brazil with her name on it.

Metro Employees Arrested in Alleged Prostitution Scandal
Police say an alleged prostitution ring inside the Dupont Circle Metro Station led to the arrest of a station manager and a custodian.
According to investigators, the two transit employees are accused of arranging sexual encounters from inside the Metro station. The initial complaint in the case was received at Metro headquarters, and according to the tipster, on[e] of the station managers was handing out racy leaflets during her shift.
"The fliers that sort of made references to trips to Brazil and also made references to the possibilities of sexual pleasures," said Metro Police Chief Michael Tabor.
Police opened an investigation by sending an undercover officer to talk to the station master, Sharon Waters of Bowie, about the flyers and what they promised. According to court documents, Waters pulled out a book of nude and explicit photos of women who would be available for sex during a trip to Brazil.
The documents also say that Waters got on the loud speaker system on the Red Line and paged a female custodian, Pamela Goins of Capital Heights, who would be available for sex locally.
The undercover officer said in his report that when he met Goins at a Metro station, she quoted him a price of $200, and she grabbed him by the crotch.
Both women were arrested on solicitation of prostitution charges, but neither of them was available for comment.
Metro officials say Goins has been fired, and Waters has been suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
These ladies deserve a raise. They figured out a way to increase Metro ridership :-)

Three accused of holding woman

St. Louis — An 18-year-old mentally disabled woman was held against her will for as long as a month, tortured and forced into prostitution to pay off a relative's debt, according to federal court documents made public Thursday.
The teen, identified by officials only as "Jane Doe," was rescued Sunday by her sister. Two suspects were arrested by FBI agents and charged Wednesday.
Waquita "Goddess" Wallace, 33, and Richard Marquis Harper, 20, of the 5200 block of Genevieve Avenue, were charged in federal court in St. Louis with sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and sale into involuntary servitude. A woman known to authorities only as "April" also faces the same charges.
A federal court affidavit filed by FBI Special Agent Cynthia Dockery lays out the case this way:
Doe, of St. Louis, who gave birth to a child in May, moved in with her cousin in May or early June. While she was there, her cousin's boyfriend raped her at least twice.
The cousin then left Doe at Wallace's house sometime in late May or June. The cousin owed [Ms.] Wallace $3,300, and Wallace told Doe that the debt was now hers to pay off through prostitution and her food stamp and disability income.
Doe was forced to have sex with men for money. Wallace later offered her up on a phone "chat line," and at least two men from the chat line had sex with her.
Wallace took Doe's identification, wallet and clothes, and used her food stamp money to buy groceries. Wallace would not let Doe leave the house unless Wallace went along and told Doe that if she tried to leave, Wallace would kill her cousin, mother and grandmother.
All the while, the affidavit says, Wallace beat Doe, starting with her fists and later progressing to hitting her with blunt objects, burning her with cigarettes and lighters, cutting her with broken glass and branding her breasts with a knife heated with a lighter.
Wallace and "April" tied a bleeding Doe in a detached garage at one point when they thought police were coming, the document says. The two women also forced Doe to do housework.
It also claims that Wallace, Harper and April forced Doe's head into a bathtub full of water when she said she wanted to leave.
Wallace and April could not be reached for comment. Court-appointed lawyers for Harper and Wallace did not return calls Thursday seeking comment.
Doe's cousin also could not be reached for comment. Court documents do not indicate whether any charges might be filed against her.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Howard Marcus has asked the three to be held in jail until their trial.

I periodically check St. Louis Safe Streets (http://safecity.slmpd.org/) a website that lists police reports in the City on a map. I searched for prostitution arrests for most of South St. Louis from 1/1/08 until today. I got one on the 7400 block of Alabama. I have seen a lot more police traffic than that. Maybe they are only picking up the johns.

Maag pleads guilty to lesser charge, fined $1,500

Facing an upcoming trial on charges of soliciting a sexual act, Edwardsville attorney Thomas Maag cut a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Madison County Associate Judge Stephen Stobbs signed off on the deal and fined Maag $1,500 on Aug. 7.
Maag was arrested by the Granite City Police Department for soliciting a prostitute Nov. 2. Charges were later amended to soliciting a sexual act, a class B misdemeanor. Maag posted $105 bail shortly after his arrest.
Maag, 32, of Highland, is the son of former Illinois Appellate Court Judge Gordon Maag, who unsuccessfully ran for the Illinois Supreme Court in 2004.
Had he not taken the deal, Maag would have faced trial on Aug. 12.
Originally the trial was set to begin May 12, but lawyers for Maag requested a continuance which was granted after the prosecutor did not object.
The trial was then rescheduled to begin June 16, but on June 11 Maag's lead lawyer, Clyde Kuehn, filed a motion stating he would be in Kentucky for Father's Day weekend.
Stobbs then set the trial for July 14, which was continued to Aug. 12. The judge set the final pretrial hearings for 9 a.m. on Aug. 11.
On Aug. 4, Stobbs was prepared to hold a hearing on a defense motion that asked Stobbs to reconsider his ruling that denied Maag's motion to suppress evidence.
Maag has argued that evidence police inventoried should be suppressed because he was arrested before officers had developed the necessary probable cause for doing so.
He also has argued that he was arrested before police acquired an arrest warrant.
Stobbs heard arguments on the matter April 29, and took the case under advisement. He issued a four-page order May 1.
In the order, Stobbs said that Maag had the burden of proof that a particular search and seizure of evidence is unlawful.
Stobbs ruled that there was probable cause to arrest Maag and also ruled that the testimony of Granite City Police detective Lori Perkins was credible.
Perkins testified that the night Maag was arrested, he contacted her by telephone in response to an advertisement the Granite City Police Department posted on the Web site "Craig's List" under the erotic services category.
Perkins also testified that Maag agreed to pay her $150 dollars for a one-hour meeting which would have included sexual intercourse.
After Maag's arrest, and over his objection, Maag's vehicle was searched along with his person.
"The Defendant was in possession of money both on his person and in his wallet which was located in his vehicle," Stobbs wrote.
Stobbs also rejected Maag's argument that the search of his vehicle following his arrest violated his constitutional rights.
Stobbs ruled that since Maag's first contact with police occurred while he was inside his vehicle on a cellular phone, the search was consistent with applicable case law regarding vehicle searches.
In addition to Maag, five other individuals were arrested by the Granite City Police Department during the undercover prostitution sting. They have all pleaded guilty to the charges, were fined and placed on court supervision.

As part of the Woodson stroll, a good place to monitor crime in the area is the Overland police department's crime page at www.OverlandMO.org/crime.htm .
Robberies, burglaries, drug possessions, and other crimes stay up on the site for about a month. I've been looking at the page for 3 months, and still haven't seen a prostitution arrest, which I guess is a good sign, but please don't get a false sense of security. Also, as nice as Overland seems, a home burglary happened a couple months ago only one block away from Overland's police department building. The audacity of some crooks! [Lol]
The approximate northern border of the Overland municipality is Tudor Avenue, so this page won't show arrests in Woodson Terrace, Breckenridge Hills, and St. John's, all of which impinge on Woodson Road north of Tudor. Tudor is 4 blocks north of the QuikTrip at Midland Boulevard.
The other site I mentioned a while back, CrimeReports.com , as good as it is, currently just covers Bridgeton, Hazelwood, and Maryland Heights. As others have reported, there is occasional action in Bridgeton on Lindbergh, near the Congress Airport Inn and Spanky's Adult Store.
Come to think of it, there are many adult shops on North Lindbergh, four that I can think of. At least 2 of these shops have a large selection of sexy stripper and provider clothing, for any interested ladies who may not already know about the shops.

If I may interject here: Providers that I have spoke with on such matters inform me they have been arrested and fined for "traffic disruption/impedance" or "civil disobedience" and the best one that I have heard was "demonstration without a permit". I think some municipalities may use these terms to get by with saying that certain crimes don't happen in their jurisdiction. Or it could be a way of being leinyant with the providers. Or it could a tactic to keep the media's nose out of it. Another idea is: Lets say a lady was arrested on Morganford just north of the Bevo Mill. Could that have a negative impact on business there--Keeping the goodytoshoes away from the businesses. Or could it cause more unwanted traffic to that street. I am a fisherman. If someone caught a fish in an area, I will continue to troll in that area for awhile hopeing that I will catch one as well. I remember not to long ago that south Pennsylvania was a crowded street to travel due to mongers like myself.
If you think about it south Broadway area is drying up with providers, compared to a year ago. But yet there has been very few reportable arrests in that area. Where have they been dispersed to and why?

I too have noticed a big void at our mid-county stroll. I routinely run from the airport down to page, sometimes making the loop twice, at various mid day and afternoon times, but I am coming up dry. I tried lunch time today and got nada. Also took a look early evening on both Sat and Sun this past weekend with zero activity.
I never knew this area existed until about 6 mos ago and instead regularly made the Penn stroll a habit. While it was hit or miss, it was more often than not a success. Now I run the Woodson run because its close to work, if dry I hit Grand to go the backway to Penn and Davis. I don't get out in the evenings like I'd like as I have a home life, but the late afternoons seem pretty dry.
