just wanted to comment on a couple things.

-- the general consensus on the 51st ave area is, pretty hot right now. always a lot of girls around, especially at night. if **** girls keep getting found over there, that scene will end real quick. in the last week, i have also spotted some activity on 27th ave, the i-17 frontage roads, and around sunnyslope (hatcher/11th ave).

However, I have always been a huge fan on the Parlors. That is a situation that is very very safe. No LE lurking to trap you. You can pretty well get what you need in them. Prostitution sting leads to 104 arrests

Rented furnishings and hidden cameras were among the props Seattle police vice detectives used to arrest 104 men who showed up at a ritzy downtown condo in the past two weeks expecting to pay for sex.

Nearly three-fourths of the men who were arrested on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute responded to postings in the "erotic services" category on craigslist, the free online community where people can search for apartments, jobs, used cars, friends and dates. The rest answered escort ads found in the back pages of The Stranger and Seattle Weekly.

"We wanted to prove craigslist was in fact a vehicle for promoting prostitution," said Lt. Eric Sano, commander of the Seattle Police Department's vice unit.

Escorts and the agencies that represent them have long argued that clients pay only for the companionship of a beautiful woman, Sano said, "but for the most part, that's not how it works."

The vice unit launched its elaborate investigation after receiving numerous community complaints about prostitutes advertising on craigslist, Sano said.

To test the theory, undercover detectives arranged for escorts to meet them in a downtown hotel room on Oct. 19, Sano said. Detectives arrested seven women and a 16-year-old girl who made clear they expected payment for their sexual services, he said.

Vice detectives then turned their attention to men who, instead of cruising the streets for prostitutes, respond to online and newspaper ads looking for sex, he said. To make their ads believable, Sano said, female detectives were photographed in flirty poses, phone lines were established and appointments were set up.

Police discovered "a complete subculture" where men call themselves "hobbyists" and refer to the women they pay for sex as "providers," Sano said Wednesday, the last night of the undercover operation.

"They all know each other and have their own terminology," he said. There are even several online "review boards" where men rate their experiences and describe a woman's looks and the sex acts she's willing to perform, Sano said.

Craig Newmark, who founded craigslist in San Francisco in 1995, said he has heard that "prostitution is a significant problem" on the Web site and noted that craigslist has built a "top-notch" reputation for responding to complaints of illegal activity.

As for the local craigslist review board where men discuss the sexual exploits they paid for, Newmark said those who operate the site are improperly using the craigslist name and that legal action is being discussed by the Seattle-based law firm representing his site.

Craigslist, which is now available in some 300 cities worldwide, doesn't monitor what people post.

"We are a democracy ... and we find we can trust our community," he said. "I don't know what the situation is like in Seattle, but we would prefer that [police] go after violent criminals or crooked congressmen."

At one point, the Seattle police operation was exposed on the craigslist review board and "we had to quickly scramble to get new photos and phone numbers," Sano said. As they waited for men to call, "we cruised craigslist ourselves" and arrested 14 more women on suspicion of prostitution, he said.

"Every hobbyist knows the going rate is at least $150 an hour for 'full service' — which means intercourse and maybe a massage," he said, noting men also "negotiate for extra services," for instance paying an additional $50 to have sex without a condom.

The response was "absolutely wild," Sano said. Even after female detectives upped their price to $200 an hour as part of a Veterans Day special, "we almost had people triple-booked" for appointments, he said.

When a man arrived at the rented condo, he was greeted at the door and ushered inside, Sano said. As other detectives hid in a bedroom watching live footage from hidden cameras, the female detective, posing as "a provider," would engage in a conversation about sex and collect her fee, he said.

Once money had changed hands, Sano said, other officers would then walk out and arrest the man.

All but five of the men were interviewed, cited and released: One man, a registered sex offender, was booked into the King County Jail for violating conditions of his release, three others were booked on drug violations and another on a weapons charge, Sano said.

Arrestees have included "bank presidents, state employees, business owners, construction workers, physicians and surgeons," Sano said.

Though some may argue that prostitution and patronizing a prostitute — both misdemeanors — are victimless crimes, Sano doesn't see it that way: "No young girl grows up dreaming of doing this. These prostitutes are women who have had a rough life, whether they're addicted to drugs, or they've been abused or they have some pimp forcing them into it.

"It is easy money ... but these women are being exploited and it's degrading," he said. "You should hear what some of these guys have asked our detectives to do — it's disgusting."

Same kind of deal happened here a few years ago when Sheriff Joe and his posse raided numerous spas and in-call establishments. Even arrested a 60 year old 'chick' in Sun City. Problem was that Joe's boys were themselves engaging in the some of the 'services' and the arrests got thrown out of court.
This kind of crap happens all over the country. Just happened this spring in DC. Now the trade there is rebuilding itself.
I am not exactly sure what inspires these kinds of stings, but I suspect politics, elections etc play a big part.
Always pays, however, to be ever vigilant about our hobby.

Second, Ben Franklin, one of our founding fathers, wrote many of times in his journals about him patronaging what he refered to as lesser women. I would have liked to state my feelings about this incident earlier, but have been out of the country.

Here is my perspective on this:

A: The hotel manager was not merely "surfing the Web" as stated in the article. Anyone who is familiar with craigslist knows that "Erotic Services" are not out in the open, you have to click erotic, then go past the disclaimer, then click to enter, not something you do by accident, or "stumble" across. So, this means that he was INTENTIONALLY searching the erotic services section. I am assuming that Homestead Studio Suites Hotels allows their employees to search and browse for erotic services/porn/nude photos on company equipment on company time. Seems pretty liberal for a company based in South Carolina.

B: If the idiot they popped had kept his mouth shut, there is nothing the police could have done other than charge him with the traffic violation and the drug posession charges (DOHHHHH!) Lessons 1 & 2, Keep your mouth shut and don't have illegal items with you when mongering. Yeah, the cops could hassle you (and would) they would play good cop/bad cop with you, they would tell you she ratted you out, etc etc etc, but it boils down to a simple massage, nothing more, nothing less. She says she fucked you for money, you say you got a massage only. Unless they had the inside of the room bugged or had cameras, they have nothing other than her word. She is gonna go down quicker than you based on her ads and her drugs. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! What are they gonna charge you with, getting an unlicensed massage?? He was in and out in 10 mins? C: Don't do bonehead things while driving that give them the opportunity to pull you over. Make sure all your lights are working, nothing broken, don't do stupid things. Notice that he was not charged with the illegal tint or the wide turn that he was originally pulled over for. He was charged with what he admitted to and what they found in his car. (pssst. from everything I read, he was arrested at night, illegal tint my ass!)

D: Never, EVER, EVER patronize Homestead Suites Studio Hotels, Extended Stay America, StudioPLUS Deluxe Studios or Extended Stay Deluxe Hotels. It is very obvious that they to not take the privacy of their customers seriously. I could totally understand if the maid tripped over a bale of pot or discovered a meth-lab or something very obvious like that, but for a manager to scan sexually oriented ads looking for sex and finding one of your customers, then turning her in? Come-on, how ridiculously lame is this prick?

E: It is too bad that several thousand people won't write to: Homestead Studio Suites Hotels, 100 Dunbar Street, Spartanburg SC. 29306. or call 864-573-1600 and tell them how disgusted you are with the fact that one of their managers would surf the web for sexually erotic services, apparently on company time. What a PR nightmare!! They allow managers to surf for porn/sex?? Do they let their managers solicit illegal drugs from customers so they can turn them in???

F: What kind of turd is this guy? He is scanning erotic services ads, presumably looking for some kind of erotic service, he comes across a picture of someone he recognizes, he goes straight to the police. This was prior to drugs being found. I think the reasonable thing to do would be to call her up and tell her, hey you can't do that here, you need to move out, leave, etc. No, he wants to be a hero, be famous. Lets make him famous, lets let his bosses know he is seeking erotic services! Again, this prick was not innocently surfing the web, he knew where he was surfing and what he was looking for.

Alicia Cribbs, 24, was taken into custody at 11:03 p.m. in the 900 block of South 48th Street near University Drive, police said.

There are virtually no entertainment opportunities there to my knowledge except for the casinos that they operate. I have never seen a CG at the Indian casinos. Your primary option would be to get on I-10 and get into the Phoenix area (a fairly short drive). The Phoenix metro area has the best opportunities for amps etc. If you want the best strip club action then you will have to head to Tucson. (an hour & 45 minute drive.)

Welcome to AZ. If you are in the Town of Maricopa (well I guess they incorporated so it's now a city) then you will be mostly surrounded by the Ak-Chin & Gila River reservations and general agricultural areas. There are virtually no entertainment opportunities there to my knowledge except for the casinos that they operate. I have never seen a CG at the Indian casinos. Your primary option would be to get on I-10 and get into the Phoenix area (a fairly short drive). The Phoenix metro area has the best opportunities for amps etc. If you want the best strip club action then you will have to head to Tucson. (an hour & 45 minute drive.)

My advice to you is, cruise the hotspots that are listed for a few min. Keep a watchful eye out for LE, and if an oppertunity presents itself by all means take it.

I haven't been keeping up with where the hotspots are lately, as I work way outside of Phoenix and now that I am Married it is often hard to go looking. I decided to visit Club Discretions late last week during a visit to Phoenix. The ad caught my eye because they allowed single guys to attend most nights and that the club sounded like the closest thing to the European FKKs, Partytreffs, and other adult clubs.

Ten Things NOT to do If Arrested:

I have been practicing criminal law for 24 years and have seen a wide variety of reactions by people who are being arrested. Some of these reactions are unwise but understandable. Others are self defeating to the point of being bizarre. No one plans to be arrested, but it might help to think just once about what you will do and not do if you ever hear the phrase "Put your hands behind you. " The simplest "to do" rule is to do what you are told. Simple, but somehow it often escapes someone who is either scared or intoxicated. More important to guarding your rights and interests are ten things you SHOULD NOT do:

1. Don't try to convince the officer of your innocence. It's useless. He or she only needs "probable cause" to believe you have committed a crime in order to arrest you. He does not decide your guilt and he actually doesn't care if you are innocent or not. It is the job of the judge or jury to free you if he is wrong. If you feel that urge to convince him he's made a mistake, remember the overwhelming probability that instead you will say at least one thing that will hurt your case, perhaps even fatally. It is smarter to save your defense for your lawyer.

2. Don't run. It's highly unlikely a suspect could outrun ten radio cars converging on a block in mere seconds. I saw a case where a passenger being driven home by a drunk friend bolted and ran. Why? It was the driver they wanted, and she needlessly risked injury in a forceful arrest. Even worse, the police might have suspected she ran because she had a gun, perhaps making them too quick to draw their own firearms. Most police will just arrest a runner, but there are some who will be mad they had to work so hard and injure the suspect unnecessarily.

3. Keep quiet. My hardest cases to defend are those where the suspect got very talkative. Incredibly, many will start babbling without the police having asked a single question. My most vivid memory of this problem was the armed robbery suspect who blurted to police: "How could the guy identify me? The robbers were wearing masks. " To which the police smiled and responded, "Oh? Were they? " Judges and juries will discount or ignore what a suspect says that helps him, but give great weight to anything that seems to hurt him. In 24 years of criminal practice, I could count on one hand the number of times a suspect was released because of what he told the police after they arrested him.

4. Don't give permission to search anywhere. If they ask, it probably means they don't believe they have the right to search and need your consent. If you are ordered to hand over your keys, state loudly "You do NOT have my permission to search. " If bystanders hear you, whatever the police find may be excluded from evidence later. This is also a good reason not to talk, even if it seems all is lost when they find something incriminating.

5. If the police are searching your car or home, don't look at the places you wish they wouldn't search. Don't react to the search at all, and especially not to questions like "Who does this belong to? "

6. Don't resist arrest. Above all, do not push the police or try to swat their hands away. That would be assaulting an officer and any slight injury to them will turn your minor misdemeanor arrest into a felony. A petty shoplifter can wind up going to state prison that way. Resisting arrest (such as pulling away) is merely a misdemeanor and often the police do not even charge that offense. Obviously, striking an officer can result in serious injury to you as well.

7. Try to resist the temptation to mouth off at the police, even if you have been wrongly arrested. Police have a lot of discretion in what charges are brought. They can change a misdemeanor to a felony, add charges, or even take the trouble to talk directly to the prosecutor and urge him to go hard on you. On the other hand, I have seen a client who was friendly to the police and talked sports and such on the way to the station. They gave him a break. Notice he did not talk about his case, however.

8. Do not believe what the police tell you in order to get you to talk. The law permits them to lie to a suspect in order to get him to make admissions. For example, they will separate two friends who have been arrested and tell the first one that the second one squealed on him. The first one then squeals on the second, though in truth the second one never said anything. An even more common example is telling a suspect that if he talks to the police, "it will go easier. " Well, that's sort of true. It will be much easier for the police to prove their case. I can't remember too many cases where the prosecutor gave the defendant an easier deal because he waived his right to silence and confessed.

9. If at home, do not invite the police inside, nor should you "step outside. " If the police believe you have committed a felony, they usually need an arrest warrant to go into your home to arrest you. If they ask you to "step outside", you will have solved that problem for them. The correct responses are: "I am comfortable talking right here. ", "No, you may not come in. ", or "Do you have a warrant to enter or to arrest me in my home? " I am not suggesting that you run. In fact, that is the best way to ensure the harshest punishment later on. But you may not find it so convenient to be arrested Friday night when all the courts and law offices are closed. With an attorney, you can perhaps surrender after bail arrangements are made and spend NO time in custody while your case is pending.

10. If you are arrested outside your home, do not accept any offers to let you go inside to get dressed, change, get a jacket, call your wife, or any other reason. The police will of course escort you inside and then search everywhere they please, again without a warrant. Likewise decline offers to secure your car safely.

That's it: Ten simple rules that will leave as many of your rights intact as possible if you are arrested. How about a short test? You have a fight with your live-in girlfriend and the police come and find you on the sidewalk two houses down from the apartment. The girlfriend points you out and the police arrest you for assault. They tell you they don't intend to question you. They just want your name and address. Do you answer? Well, you shouldn't. Your address is the single most damaging admission you could make. If you admit living with her, you have just converted a misdemeanor assault into a felony punishable by state prison. When you are arrested it is their game, and you don't know the rules. It is best to be silent and let the attorney handle it later. The bottom line is that if the police have enough evidence to arrest, they will. If they don't, you could easily provide that missing evidence by talking.

I simply leave everything locked up in my car except the cash I need, and of course, my keys. I've thought about taking that a step further even and getting a spare key that doesn't identify a vehicle brand to carry with me so my regular ones can stay in the car. 1. There are 2 reasons that I have heard.

I'm going to cherry pick what I see as some of the answers to your questions.

Why do providers flake? - several reasons: Some are flakes is just one answer. Life happens is another (kid got sick, day job called them in, they got sick, flat tire on the way in, the list goes on) . Think about it though - every potential client is LE - if there is something that you said or e-mailed or texted that set off a little bit of anxiety, and "something" happens just before you call (hangup call, strange care drives by - whatever) it might give them cause to play it safe rather than take the chance. Don't take it personal, just move on. I'm sure providers get plenty more client flakes.

Awesome photos and outcall only - the really awesome photos are usually stolen anyway. As far as outcall - do you really want to have a provider in your home, where all of your personal stuff is, like your mail, your keys, where they can scope out everything you have?
