Extremely little street activity in AC on New Years weekend -- as light as I can remember. Was with others so didn't do much mongering. But early Friday I did pick up "Ashley" who says she's from PA, comes to AC about 1 weekend a month. Picked her up by the motels near the Trop. In several passes down Pacific, she was the only one working in that area about 6am and one of only about 2-3 on the whole stroll. Pretty decent looking blonde (maybe a low 7 on the SW scale). Told me that this weekend LE was being very aggressive doing "sweeps," taking girls off the streets. Said cops don't know her so she'd avoided being picked up so far. Her prices were .6 for cbj and 1.2 for fs. I'll sometimes pay that much for a bj if the SW is really hot. But Ashley was just a little better than okay. Tried to negotiate but she was firm. We were already at my spot, I was horny, so I paid her. Not my best mongering. Below average bj, although she did give a little show spreading and playing with her pussy.
I will be in AC this friday night but with a group so mongering will not be an option. However I will have some alone time so I will be actively looking and reporting how things are.

If you check the archives, that HBO show got major thumbs down from the AC mongering community. No Emmys for that piece of crap. Dumb and boring IMO. Other than making the point that prostitutes are available in AC, it really is not very representative of the scene. The featured hoes were well below average by AC standards. I concluded that the repeated shot of two hoes prancing around in bathing suits had to have been staged.

The HBO "documentary" on AC was a follow-up to another HBO "documentary" called "Hookers at the Point" which was filmed years ago when the Hunts Point section of the Bronx was flooded with SWs. Now it is almost barren. HBO still runs that program though because it titillates and gets ratings. Truth be damned.
Recently after many posters on this forum reported how dry The Point had become, someone asked how that was possible when he had just seen that HBO documentary.
I responded: Well that's easily explained. The HBO special was filmed many years ago. Airing that "documentary" film to show America what goes on in the streets of The Point is like airing "Gone With The Wind" as a documentary about race relations in the south.

I agree that the featured hookers were well below the standard AC girl, and it was a total crap show. Like I care about what troubles these idiot ho's had in there lives, odds are they are lies anyway. I would have liked to see a similar show from the Jon's point of view, then we would get a good perspective of the scene.
As for the bathing suit girls. while it may have been staged, it still represnts the real thing. In late summer you will see the bikini tops and shorts with the ass hanging out, all up and down the strip (not so much in january).
My trip for tommorow is still on so IM if your going to be in town but not mongering (but looking). I'll report on sunday my finding. if anyone is in town IM me and we'll see if can hook-up for a beer and a strol on the strip.

Change of plans, due to the fact that my buddies are pussies and can't break away from the wives for weekend my plans got changed to skiing for the weekend (with thier wives, how fun.....). I'll have to post pone my reporting and the beer offer, for a few weeks. Any one going to be down there the 20th or 27th???

I took a ride to Asbury Park tonite at dusk but didn't see anything. Maybe things happen later. Lots of rebuilding going on. Anyone see any action in Asbury Park?

On my way out of town yesterday I decided to try one of the AMPs advertised in the Weekly, and I guess I got lucky. The name of the place is Paradise (I think), but the entrance is located in an alley just off Kentucky between Pacific and Atlantic (on the right as you go from Pacific to Atlantic).
When I arrived, the mamasan--a wizened old hag of about 100--grabbed my hand and showed me to a room. No talk of money. About 5 minutes later Lisa came in: A 28-year-old Korean girl, about 5-3, a little chubby but not bad, wearing a teddy-like garment. She had long black hair, what else, and a nice face. I asked about money and she told me .6 for an hour. She grabbed me by the hand and took me to the room for a very relaxing, very thorough table shower. Lovely hands washed me everywhere.
We then went back into the room for a very decent massage. When she asked me to turn over she noticed--who wouldn't?--that Mr. Happy was indeed very happy. So she started introducing herself to him. While I don;t remember seeing thongs on the ave this past summer, I was down there in a heat wave 90 degress at night, and bikini tops and ultra mini skirts were the dress code of the day.
One thing for sure we won;t be seeing that for at least 4-5 months. When the summer comes I'll head to AC with a digital cam and see what I can find. In till then stay safe and warm.

Street action continues to be very slow. I'd say it's down at least 80% from the summer. Winter is always slower but not THIS slow. I'm wondering if the bust of the "International Pimp of the Year" a few weeks ago had a bigger impact than I would have guessed. Haven't seen some of the higher-end WSW regulars for quite awhile. Most of what's out there right now are some decent BSWs with good bodies, and some lower-end K Ave-type $20-$30 women. Picked up "Stacy" (doesn't look like a Stacy) this weekend. The mention of the migration of the AC SWs to LV for conventions reminds me of the one time I went out to LV.
A friend of mine was in the garment biz and he had to go to LV for some garment industry convention and I went along for the ride.
I'd never been to LV so it was a good chance to see what "sin city" was like. Before I went, of course, I RTFFed and had some idea of what to expect.
I went there and while my friend went about his business, I went about my scoping the streets for what I expected would be world class SW traffic. I figured that I am an experineced SW spotter from the Big Apple and should be able to spot action.
Nope. Nada. Two days and I saw nothing.
So I fell back on an old trick: I hailed a cab and rode to some destination and while I was in the cab, I struck up a conversation with the cabbie and commented on how I had expected to see SWs but hadn't seen anything. He nonchalantly said they were everywhere and so I asked, "Where?" He started to point out particular corners and areas in front of certain hotels. I said, "I don't see any." And he responded, "They're there at 3am to about 7am."
So I set my alarm and went out early the next morning. I went no more than a block from my hotel and found myself in an SW supermarket.
I will not divulge what happened next but there are two lessons to be learned from my story so far: First, its not just WHERE you look, but WHEN to look. So guys, when posting to this or any other forum on WSG, tell us WHEN you saw what you saw. Second lesson (this should be obvious): When new to an area, ask a cabbie. They see everything!
But I started out talking about LV conventions and I digressed.
Although I went out to LV to get an eyeful on the streets, the REAL eyefuls that week was in the hotels.
Are you ready for this? That week, in addition to the garment industry convention, LV was hosting the exotic dancers' convention.
Can you believe that strippers have conventions? I mean, what do they do at their convention? Take wiggle seminars? Go for updates on boob jobs? Look into health care benefits and retirement plans?
Whatever.... there they were, hundreds of these barbie dolls with the longest legs, the shortest skirts and their pneumatic breasts. They were all over and they were there as conventioners and tourists. They were guests at the hotels. They were on line at the buffet dinners and going to see shows and they chatted with other tourists and families from Iowa and Oklahoma and they were just sweet kids who had never been out of the small towns they were from.
Most of them were escorted by muscular, tanned, Italian looking guys with barrel chests and shirts open down three buttons. But the bodyguards didn't say anything or keep you away if you went up to say "Hi" and mostly it was the girls who started conversations. They were as friendly as airline stewardesses and seemed starved to have normal conversation with their clothes on.

The porno industry has their convention the same time as CES. We used to get wanna-be porn starlets wandering the convention looking for deals on electronic equipment and offering their videos as payment. Also, agree that these women walk around with bodybuilder types, but they all seem to want to be in movies, not fight.
Its a sight to see.
Also, lots of pros wandering the hotels and casinos looking for guys, but during shows they basically double the prices as they know most guys at the show have money and may not get away for the rest of the year.

im doing a review of the board. but guys if you have any up dated info or how best to go about finding these lovely ladies, by all means include it in your posts. it sounds like the SW thing is pretty dry, Amp, wow, i have a really good one down in baltimore, so im not sure thats where im headed.
i would look in the casino's, im in the taj. havent been for a number of years so i dont know if the floor is really active or expensive. obviously im lookin for cheap. and high quality, FS, and dinning at the Y. oh, dangerous for a SW. but a clean pro,,, eh, maybe. i love it when the pro, cum, and look up and say where did you learn that. im never sure if they say that to all the guys or maybe,,,,,,, im really good. lol

Gentlemen:
I want to conduct a very unscientific poll.
Many of you may know this already, but just a few hours north of us, on the other side of the US-Canadian border, sex for pay is 100% legal. I can't tell you how many times I've driven to another city in the US Northeast where there are reportedly active strolls, then driven around for a few hours only to find skanks or nothing at all. Then, as I drive home, I think to myself, "In the same amount of time that I just wasted, I could have driven up to Montreal, checked into a motel and had a drop dead gorgeous young lady come visit me for an hour, pay $US150 and had the time of my life. WHY do I put up with the humiliation, degradation and slim pickings of US stroll scene?"
So then it occured to me that many of you might also be interested in going up there. Are you concerned that the territory is unfamiliar? That's a fair concern. But what if there was an organized trip? What if one of us with knowledge of what is available and what to avoid organized a trip? For a fee you would get to ride up on a bus, get taken to a decent hotel or motel, get connected online or by telephone with an agency or a you get the telephone numbers and pictures of a few ladies who work independently and then, a few hours later (probaly the next morning) you get a bus ride back home? Included, of course, would be such usueful advice as what to expect to pay and that, in Canada, tipping is NOT expected.
As I see it, the price of the trip (bus, motel and information) is a totally seperate from the price you pay for the services you hire.
Would there be any interest?
I'd like to know what you all think out there.....

While we are remembering the good old days in AC, back in 76 when gambling first came to town the streets were packed with providers. You couldn't stop at a light on Pacific without some girl reaching in and grabbing you cock.
But moving on to the present. I was in town over both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The sceen is the always the same year after year (FYI for you NY Monger). A few casinos market to the Asian community and they are packed with some spill over to other casino's. On the streets the providers are less, but so are the mongers and LE. Thus the prospects of finding someone aren't so bad. The hot girls have mostly left town with the cold weather, Vegas and Miami. However the girls who live there year round are still out and you can find some real gems for not too much. Out of the 6 I picked up over the holidays one name China Doll stands out. She is from Philly and actually Vietnesse. She is small and cute but its her oral skills that make her well worth the .4.
Inside it appears that the bar in Ceasers is replacing Trump Plaza as the place girls hang out. Speaking of Trump Plaza, I saw security walking a girl off the casino floor. I followed and they took her to the boardwalk entrance where after a few minutes the cops came by. I did not stick around to see if they arrested her but thought it strange that with all the girls I passed on the first floor they were only interested in her. I guess they are real strict if it is happening on the casino floor. Too bad she was early 20s and real cute.
There were the usual sitings in the walkway between Wild West and Balleys. As usual nothing hapening at the Showboat.
I have discovered some dive bars a few blocks off of Pacific. In the winter these are local hang outs and there always seems to be a woman or two in them who are not providers but can be persuaded. Sorry I don't know the names I usually just stumble upon them. Good Luck all.

Was in your neck of the woods and on my way out of town stopped by oriental spa on blackhorse pike. A little different then the spas in DC but got okay service. TS was a bit small and on a ledge but I made it thru and she covered all areas. My attendent was 40ish and a little chubby but very nice. Good massage for about 30 minutes then to the flip No FS was offered and all I got was a handshake and warm towel clean up. Service was a 6 and looks 6. Would not visit again only to the fact there are to many places in town to try.

Yeah there were a couple of pretty decent young blondes out this weekend. The one you describe sounds like a girl I tried to pick up a couple of times around Ballys but other mongers got there first. Funguy, you ask an important question. The key to succes is to know not just WHERE to look, but WHEN.
The simple answer is: RTFF. If that abbreviation is not familar to you, look it up under "abbreviations" on the menu above. The message is that you should do a minor amount of your own research to get an answer before asking someone to spell out, just for you, what they and others have said here many times before.
This was your first post. It would have been easy for you to read through the many postings here to get a very accurate sense of what others have learned and shared.

I recall many postings last year that detailed precisely where on Pacific to look and others that mentioned what time of night the stroll gets active and when it ends.

On to the weekend review. Things continue to be slow. More than just a coincidence at this point, we're talking about a real trend that's gone on for a couple of months now. Except for some rain the weather wasn't much of an excuse. It seems more and more clear that the arrest of that "International Pimp of the Year" in December has created quite a few open CG/SW positions in AC. Since then I haven't seen several girls who used to be out almost every night in the bars or on the street. However, Funguy you can't be looking very hard, or you need to hone your mongering instincts if you're not able to find ANY girls on the street or in the bars. C'mon, man. There are definitely girls to be had, at least during the prime hours and in the places we've talked about. Just not as many.

Looks like we were all cruising town the last weekend of January I was there Saturday night and had a good amount of luck. Ceasers bar continues to be a good place. I saw the singer/entertainer that I was following home and then blew off for a freebie a few months ago in there along with quite a few very interesting prospects. The streets were light but had its share.
I picked up what had to be the steal of the night in front of the Trop. A nice blonde with great legs was walking in front of the Quarter. She had on a knee length coat that was open to show a short skirt and some killer legs. Her walk was to die for. Although my heart was pounding I was not getting my hopes up. She looked too much like all those other hot chicks who get all dressed up to go partying at the Quarter or a Trop employee getting off shift. My heart dropped as she stopped at the door to talk to some guy. On my next pass she was walking away and I caught her eye. I made a u turn in the hotel parking lot and when I rolled up to the corner she just hopped right in. Didn't even look around.
She had a cute face, nice bod, firm but small tits and did I mention killer legs. She said her name was Vivian, 25, and she was from Milwaukee. I have been to Milwaukee several times and never saw anyone near as good as this woman. As we were driving out of town she freaked me a little with the cop thing. After a few hours I hit the streets again. It was now morning and the sun was up. I had hit town around 2 the night before. There was still a fair number of girls. Not a lot mind you but if you needed one they were there to be taken.

Hey, thanks for the complement by using my post as an example. The one thing I must say after reading my post: "Dam, I can't spell". I re-read that post and can hardly understand what I said.

Check out the econo lodge next to the trop, $50 for firday night. ask for a room that face's pacific. It's like window shoping all night. Stay warm and dry and the hookers walk by your room all night.
however do NOT let them in your room unless your serious. It took me 30 min and a hotel manager to get a set of 3 girls out of my room after I rejected their prices a few months ago.

I don't think any of them have problems with the lower rent motels (days inn, Econo lodge) some of the girls camp out in front of the even smaller, no-name, places with no hassles (I guess it's their version of room service).
The problem is not always getting them into the room it is getting them out, if you can’t come to terms. One thing to be aware of do NOT hit them (especially the BSW and HSW), AC has a few want-to-be-bad-ass pimps. While they can be quite comical to watch from a distance, you don’t want to get them on your case. WSW tend to be independent (and higher $$) but this is a generalization.

My apologies i thought i was posting this in the Trenton Camden area. I try to post in all the areas I hit which include the Philly, Philly burbs, AC and Trenton boards but this is the first time i screwed up and posted in the wrong area.

Actually Ballys is even better than the Trop from the standpoint of being right in the heart of the SW and CG action, so if you're getting a better room rate there, I'd take it. The Sands, Claridge, Caesars, and Plaza are all very close and you should definitely be able to find low limit craps and blackjack during mid-week.
I only stay at casino hotels myself but I know that other AC posters have commented on places like the Econo Lodge and Flamingo down near the Trop. Those are definite hooker hot spots that I'm sure have good mid-week rates, but are basically dives from what I've heard and can see. Holiday Inn and Howard Johnsons are a couple of other places also close by. Looks like the Astor in that same area may have just gotten fixed up a little. It was shut down for a long time and I thought maybe they were tearing it down like they have so many other places on Pacific - but it opened up again a week or so ago. On the other side of the Trop are Fox Manor and Abel Manor, two other notorious hooker hangouts. Pretty inexpensive action is available in this area.
The Sands/Ballys/Caesars/Plaza blocks tend to attract a greater proportion of higher end and more expensive SWs as well as a good selection of CGs. The selection is not always as good mid-week but during those summer months it should be strong. There are usually plenty of more inexpensive options walking through this area too.

Also down there by the Trop is the Days Inn which is indeed a dive compared to the casino hotels but its clean, not seedy. On the other hand, you spend very little time in your room. When it come to mongering, you can walk out the door of the Days Inn (or Holiday Inn or Howard Johnson) and its just a block to where you'll find a lot of low end action after dark. There is just a front desk in those places, no heavy security to stop you from going back to your room with a girl.

First post for me, but for the first time i have something of use to add. I have a friend that frequints (pardon the spelling not my frote') a bar on Pacifac Av called Bullshots that has quite a few providers going in and out of the place after 11:00 PM. From what i understand because its close proximty to the sc Bare Exposure some of them are real quality i will be checking it out on a trip in june ill report what i find then also. As far as I can tell, there is no serious street scene left in the City of NY. I don't mean there aren't slim pickings here and there. I mean there is no "stroll." No street, block, or neighborhood, where you could circle and count on finding several SWs to choose from.

I just had to tell this short story. I have been hunting for years and we all know the hunt can be long. AC had my 2 shortest hunts every. I had a room in El Greco, between Trop and Hilton. To Forth Ryte's point, one other thing Barb mentioned about this past Saturday night was how jacked-up prices were at all the dives. She said the prices at those horrible little motels on the Black Horse Pike as you get close to town were going for $150-$170 per night and rooms at places on Pacific like the Flamingo were going for over $200 I think she said. She wondered what a place like the Borgata was getting. I only stay there or anyplace else in AC if I'm being comped. I think the basic non-comped Borgata room on a Saturday usually goes for $459. Not sure if they charge a premium for big event weekends. But obviously the non-casino places gouge as much as they can.
AC is a "hot bed" for sws. Fri night - Sun night was great. I'm not out looking for 10s because two fives are just as good and better for the wallet. ATLANTIC CITY — Two men from Brooklyn, N.Y., face numerous charges after they forced at least six young women to work as prostitutes, police said Friday.
The investigation started at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, when a 17-year-old girl approached police officers and asked for help in getting back her luggage from a man who was forcing her to prostitute herself on Atlantic City streets, police said.
Detective Thomas Holton, working with State Police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, located five other victims, including one juvenile, at the Ramada Inn in Egg Harbor Township, police said.
Police said Edward R. Thomas, 32, and Leon B. Irvin, 22, both of Brooklyn, were holding the women's possessions and money and only allowed them out of the hotel room to work as prostitutes.
Both men were arrested and charged with kidnapping, extortion, promoting prostitution, employing juveniles as prostitutes, and tampering with and falsifying government records, police said. They are being held in the Atlantic County jail on $400,000 cash bail for Irvin and $300,000 for Thomas.
The juveniles were referred to the Division of Youth and Family Services to try and reunite them with their families, police said.

There is still some action at the bar across from the poker room windows but they seem to be at the new bar by the passage way to the Quarter. The stairwell is located on the outside of the motel, just to the west and behind the office.
Theoretically, a girl could walk over there from the west and not be seen ascending the stairs. However, there is no need to do so.

Re NY Monger's comment, yes if the situation Virginian described had happened in another city I'd be more likely to believe it might be ULE. But AC depends on tourists. Thanks for any infoOccasionally you can find a stray SW out your way at some of the real cheap motels on the other side of the road on the Black Horse Pike in the 3-4 miles heading into town. But your best bet by far if you're looking for street action is simply to go down to Pacific Ave and just drive the stretch between the Hilton and Showboat (Harrahs is in the Marina District about 10 minutes away and there is no street action there). That's really the only stroll you need to know although other mongers have pointed out how you can once in awhile find something on other streets like Atlantic, one block over.
On Pacific there's action to be found 24/7, although prime time usually doesn't happen until later at night (10pm, midnight or so) and most days continues until the early morning hours into daylight. Read Trav Pokerman's recent e-mail for a few of the key landmarks. If you're looking for CGs, Harrahs is not the best spot for that either. The midtown casinos (Caesars, Ballys, Trump Plaza) usually have action at the bar at night, and the Taj Mahal and Tropicana can be pretty good sometimes as well - although I rarely visit either place much anymore. I wonder how this will effect the SW loop. The Sands and Caesars with their near the street entrances made up the two ends of a loop the SW would walk. They would go into Caesars and using the connecting walkways, go to Wild West, Balley's, Claridge and then the Sands before exiting onto the street and walking to Caesars. If you sat at the bar in Balley's long enough (a few hours) you would see the same girls go by 2 or 3 times. I regularly came across them in the walkways, especially when the weather is cold. I guess we'll know in a few weeks.
MemphisMonger - Mike80 mentioned the cheap motels near where you are staying. I would not spend much time crusing there but on your way back to your hotel drive an extra mile or two before turning around. With the crowds down you should be able to easily spot if there are any girls around.
If you are playing at Harrahs and not afraid of being noticed, check out their bar. There will either be a handful or none, but always worth a look. If you don't want to be seen then follow Mike's advice and go downtown. (Harrah's is at the marina on the opposite side of the island). Just remember, Atlantic City is actaully a small town. If you are known, you could easily be spotted down there also. Stay safe.

You are correct this is a Chilling report. I saw this on the news this morning and my first thought was that they were hookers. However keep in mind that none of the reports have that they were hookers so it may not be any of our girls. While I love to use the girls, beat them down in price and take advantage of there situations for my own gain, I would never want to see any of them hurt or killed.
If it ends up that they are hookers be extra careful for the next month or 2. LE will be extra strong for the next few months both because of the high profile of the case as well as trying to catch the guy. Plus the girls are going to be extra jumpy and selective in who they go with. They are tough girls but will freak even them.
For safety reasons I recommend they if your staying in AC pay a little more and get a safe room on the strip. Casinos are the safest but most of the motels on Pacific are safe as well (and provide easiest access).
Be safe, and say a prayer for the poor families of those 4 women.
Just saw the latest report on the case. The news reporter said the women all appear to be of the "same type." He then said something about them all having blond or light brown hair, and that they all looked to be in their 20's and 30's, 5' to 5'8." The prosecutor mentioned that one of them appeared to have been in the water for just a few days. We still don't know for sure they were SWs, but it's not looking good. Apparently there were no missing persons reports out that match up. Obviously I'll be curious to see if I recognize any of them.
It just makes me ill. It really does. This is the kind of event that if it turns out to be what it looks like, I'm not sure I'm ever going to want to puruse this hobby again. What a wake-up call. As Korndoggie mentioned a few posts ago, AC is really just a small town. A few SWs have told me about robberies or robbery attempts but AC has always felt like the safest and best stroll for mongers and SWs alike. This is the end of that innocence, I guess...ridiculous as that probably sounds.

Been following this AC stuff for a few days. The CHOP avoids the streets for many reasons and this adds another. With an MP there is a better chance that the girls want to be there (I know, some are forced) not that they need to be there. Also, a lot less chance of drugs in an MP.
Tried to help an Easton street girl go straight two years ago. Thought she would make it. Got her a job. She lost it and was back on the street a few weeks later.

Reading and watching the news reports, I sadly recognize that I once did meet and report on the first woman identified in this case, back in June 2005. Early this year Korndoggie also met her and we had a short exchange of reports about whether she was the same person. Below are links to those reports. Both of us gave her great reviews. She was clearly not happy about her situation at the time, but was a very nice person, attractive and an excellent provider. She told me how she'd studied in a culinary school, and worked as a chef and waitress. She was someone you knew had much more to offer and it was frankly puzzling to see a person like her doing this because she seemed completely healthy and talked about SW'ing as something she'd just fallen into to help out during the slow times in the food industry. No mention of drugs, although she lived in a very drug infested area. Reading about her now, you can somewhat understand how she wound up where she did in spite of having some people who really cared about her. Man, it's just extraordinarily sad how her life has ended. No one deserves that kind of fate, and SHE certainly did not.

My sympathy to all the girls families. These are not the professionals who usually leave town when the weather turns cold. These are local girls trying to make ends meet. I find that despite their problems these girls are mostly polite and give good service. There is no reason to harm them.
I read the forum before I went down there this weekend. Knowing what had happened what I saw was shocking. I drove past the scene. Its right off the road. If he did it there, a hundred cars would have driven by. If he did it somewhere else (what a sick thought driving around with a dead body) he still would have been seen by passing motorists as he drove in and out. Somebody saw him. The police should be asking if anyone saw a car in the area to describe it.
Once I hit town I was even more shocked. I expected to see tons of police and no girls. I drive the strip and there are cops! A serial killer is on the loose and there are no patrols to be seen. There were some girls though. Not a lot but since there were no cops and no other mongers, you could have your pick if you wanted. No stunning beauties but all very doable. There were also some ladies at the normal casino bars. But I was just not in the mood to approach any of them.
This killing has to be stopped. If you read this forum, turn yourself in. The rest of us have to help by keeping our eyes and ears open. A while back there was a report of a girl being robbed. This may have been the guy's first aggressive act. Have we heard of any others? If you know the girl have her give a description to the police. Anonymously, if need be, but get them something to follow up on. This loser must be caught.

More horrible news tonight. Saw the picture of the latest victim to be identified. I'm 98% sure it is "Barb" who I've reported on 3 times. ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Selling sex on the streets of this gambling capital is a dangerous pursuit: Streetwalkers have been strangled, smothered, slashed and set ablaze.
So far this year, six prostitutes are believed to have been killed in or near Atlantic City, a seventh survived after her throat was slashed. Countless others are believed to have been assaulted but chose not to report the crimes to police.
The latest worry for those who make their living in the sex trade is that a serial killer was to blame for the deaths of the four women, ranging in age from 20 to 42, whose bodies were found face-down in a ditch last month behind a string of seedy motels just outside the city.
"It's dangerous, but all you're focused on is that next dollar," said a prostitute known on the streets as Spazz, who is now looking for a gun or a knife to protect herself. "It kind of clouds your judgment. You're not focused on the situation you're getting into. That's the scariest part about it."
Authorities do not believe the four bodies found Nov. 20 just off the Black Horse Pike in neighboring Egg Harbor Township are related to the attacks on three prostitutes earlier this year along Georgia Avenue in Atlantic City. In each of the three earlier attacks, the prostitutes' throats were slashed; one survived.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey Blitz said the Atlantic City cases were sufficiently different from the Egg Harbor deaths to make authorities believe they were carried out by different attackers. He also resists speculation that the four ditch bodies were the work of a serial killer, noting that autopsies could not determine the cause of death for two of the women. No arrests have been made in any of this year's attacks in and near Atlantic City.
In any case, the attacks illustrate how dangerous it is for prostitutes, who are statistically 18 times more likely to be killed than other women, and 40 times more likely to die from other than natural causes, according to national studies.
A study of the murder rate among prostitutes from 1981 to 1990 found that an average of 124 hookers were murdered each year in the United States, according to a 2004 article in the American Journal of Epidemiology.
The nation's most notorious prostitute killings were committed in the Pacific Northwest by a single attacker who came to be known as the Green River Killer. In pleading guilty in 2003 to the murders of 48 prostitutes, Gary Leon Ridgway told a judge he targeted street walkers "because I thought I could kill as many as I wanted to without getting caught."
"They were easy to pick up, without being noticed," he said in court. "I knew they would not be reported missing right away, and might never be reported missing."
Like many prostitutes in similar situations, Spazz, who said she was beaten by a "trick" two years ago, didn't call police when it happened. Like all four hookers found dead behind the motels in Egg Harbor Township, and like 85 percent of prostitutes nationwide, Spazz has a drug problem.
"I froze," she said. "I was afraid he was going to shoot me. So I just took it."
Spazz, who said she is 23 but looks twice as old, said she has been turning tricks in Atlantic City for five years since arriving from New York.
"I really don't want to be doing this," she said. "I want to get my GED and become a child's counselor. But I get sick and I gotta get well," she said, referring to finding drugs to satisfy her addiction.
The violence has prompted Atlantic City hookers to arm themselves. Christine, 37, who works out of a cheap motel on Pacific Avenue near the entrance to several casinos, bought a canister of pepper spray after the bodies were found in the ditch.
She said she and other working girls she knows have stopped accompanying men on trips to motels on "The Pike," preferring to stick closer to home and meet clients in cars or motel rooms.
"It scares the hell out of me," she said. "We're all talking about it, and I'm still ready to jump in the first car that comes along."
Bunny, a prostitute in her early 20s who also works on Pacific Avenue, said she has temporarily stopped hooking and switched to peddling drugs.
"This is no kind of life," she said. "None of us graduates from high school thinking we're going to end up doing this."

I read the same story Meatman posted earlier today and thought “that’s just great two psycho assholes”. I also read a crime blog http://www.crimesceneblog.com/?cat=58 on the net about a woman who spent 12 hours (no sex) with a guy she described as a nut job, who said he had killed people. He was 5’8’ pudgy with greasy hair. That’s like half on NJ isn’t it? The girl claims to have seen one of the victims later with the guy. Police had a pic and are looking for an SUV. I hope it’s a solid lead.
Although they were sparse last weekend, the news says the police were all over the streets this weekend. I guess it took a little time to get organized. It will probably be hot for some time.

The whole town feels different to me now, depressing and dangerous. As I drove between casinos on Pacific, I really didn't see anybody out except 2-3 BSWs including Yolanda. Sorry Memphismonter but I'd say that mongering in AC right now seems like a bad idea for SWs and mongers alike. Well I've made several passes each day on pacific, once around 11am and usually nothing then on my way back to the hotel around midnight there would be SW everywhere. Mostly between trump plaza and tropicana. There have been two BSW one of the two is very light skin and has blonde hair walking together every night. Never seen either get picked up. I talked to a WSW said her name was rebecca, blonde, tall and young. She wanted $$$ for fs but that was way too much for me, she gave me her # if I changed my mind. Then I found angelica WSW said she was 22 from dc. $ for fs and. 6 for cbj. She is back and forth from dc and here. She did mention LE is heavy presence with lots of undercover since the murders. She also told me she knew one of the victims and that the victim was saying 2 weeks prior to the crime she felt she was going to die in AC. I don't think the AC guys were in London, Here in Detroit over the summer the police captured a guy that was killing sw's. Sadly this happens in a lot of cities.

I arrived December 25 and left December 27.
The strip is all along Pacific Avenue. Crackwhores can be found all day and all night.
So a recap, the first night out, Christmas night there were about 20 girls out, maybe 14 crackheads and 6 pimpwhores.
Last night there were about 35 girls out. I picked up an 18 year old pimpgirl and I had in my room for an hour for $100. She was 5ft 2 about 110 pounds and nervous as HELL since all those murders went down. She had knives and mace on her and showed it to me. Other than that she was okay.
Then I saw another girl, age 28 looking about 20 and her hotel was next to mine so I stopped by and we went back to my room for an hour. She was happy with $80 and she lives in NY so I will see if she is available.
I stayed in the DaysInn for $55 a night and had no trouble bringing in the girl
I am coming up to AC for the new years weekend and it looks like bringing a bird with me may not be a bad idea.
I am sure the local working girls are running scared and no doubt there is lots of LE attention to the problem.

Driving between properties, I saw SWs of various types and at different times of the day but the number is definitely down and it's more than just the seasonal slowdown. There were also CGs at the bars and near the entrances of places like Caesars, as usual.

Does anyone know any other clubs like Caligulas? Or how a married guy can get in without a wife. Do you just get a sw to join you. was there last year and saw no action in the casino but figured it was tues and wed and nothing happening untill the weekend or at least Friday. Is this the case out of season?

Last Wednesday I was at one of the better casinos on the boardwalk. Around 10:30 the bar had 7 ladies looking for customers. They were on a scale of 6 - 8. One bleach blonde called me over as I was sizing up the scene and wanted $$$ for the usual. I passed. Maybe next time. They are there.

When I was in AC 2 months ago, I was headed south on Pacific near the Fox Manor Apartments, when the car in front of me suddently slammed on his brakes after seeing what I suspect was a SW. At the red light 1/2 a block away, he not-so-surprisingly signaled that he was turning left. Gee, I wonder what he was intending.
I believe it would be prudent to be a little less obvious, particularly in AC. If I was able to pick up on what he was doing, Leo certainly would know.
On a related note, be careful in the 4 blocks near the 7-11. I have heard there is lots of heat there.
I was online looking for hotels in AC for a specific time in May. I have to get 5 rooms so I am trying to stay budget but still nice. I noticed that the Holiday Inn (down by the Trop end) is very reasonable, but curious whether it is good or not. Even though I'm trying to keep my expenses down, I won't put up any of my employees with their wives in a shit hole if I know in advance.
Rates are about 75.00 a night and the next closest and reasonable is at Ceasars which I could get for 106.
Any help or ideas for me would be greatly appreciated..Tks

Rates are about 75.00 a night and the next closest and reasonable is at Ceasars which I could get for 106.While I have never stayed at the AC Holiday Inn, I would suspect that Ceasars is much nicer. It seems that the chain hotels in/near AC are of lower quality than the same brand properties located elsewhere.
It's probably worth the extra $155 to go with a place that is likely to be nice. You certainly don't want the wives to get cranky and report your mongering activities.
I've stayed only at Showboat and Trump Marina in AC, which are lower-end casinos than Ceasar's, and those rooms were nice.
If you have a player's card at Ceasar's or other casinos, you may be able to ask for some comped rooms. A friend of mine took some of his employees to AC for a few nights, and was able to get several comped rooms at the Trop for all of them. It surprised me that he was able to get a block of rooms for several nights. It's certainly worth asking. Also, have you asked for a group rate?

Yes, I'm kinda thinking myself to just book everyone at Ceasars. I'll never forget I was at the Flamingo with Kat and sounded like someone was trying to break in the room. We finished real quick and when I opened the door it was just the window cleaners. But I think they cleaned the windows just a bit too long. Must have been an opening in the curtains or something to keep them there that long.
That Holiday Inn next to the Trop is not bad. The rooms are decent and large (you can get a ocenafront room if you play it right), but it is an older property. It is Ok as I usually go by my self. If I was bringing my wife or girlfriend I would stay somewhere else. The atmosphere at the Holiday Inn gives you that "older feelin" right away. Try the Trop next door. It should be about the same price and has a nice feel about the place though the rooms will be smaller.

I have not visited AC in awhile, as Philly & Camden are too populated to pass up on the way to AC. I detoured there for hours on two occassions while intending to get to AC. How is one supposed to fund the SW kids' college educations, if one cannot get to AC to fill his pockets with casino handouts?
From the looks of it, activity has decreased significantly. That was my observation, anyway, the past few times I have been there. I believe many have moved to side streets.
Though I don't post much as I don't really do any "Mongering", I came across this thread and thought I'd put in my 2 cents worth.
I've started going to AC 4-5 times a year and always book Mon-Wed 2 nights/3 days.
Last 3 trips I stayed at Showboat, Why? The First time I booked there I had gotten enough Comp through Harrah's "Total Rewards" that their Website was giving me Mon-Tues FREE! They've just Remodeled the rooms in the Bourbon (Front) tower and I had a Kick-Ass room with Plasma TV, King Bed, all Granite Tables, Dual Sinks & Gold Tone Fixtures in the Bathroom. My Points are good for 6 Mos. and I've added to my Comp and stayed there twice more. I'm now Eligible to stay 2 weeknights Free at all of Harrah's places which now includes Caesars & Ballys along with Harrah's Bayside but I prefer the Boardwalk properties.
In the past I've stayed at the Tropicana when I got started 'cause I liked the Casino, the rooms though in the Old tower are cheaper but don't seem any better than what you get at any Holiday Inn.
I've also stayed at Resorts, again their Old tower and it had a smallish but nice Art-Deco type room that was comfortable enough.
Once I was pleasantly surprised with the Accomodations I got at the Best Western Envoy Inn on Pacific I think by New York Ave. I got a King Bed, Microwave & Fridge, Coffeemaker & Safe on the Top, 4th Floor for a VERY Good price. I keep that place in mind if I ever run into a situation where everyone else is Booked.

Of course, what should one expect from a town where worn SWs are asking for more than $?

Best time to Stay is Mon-Thur, during the week, best rates are then but even they go up during the Summer Peak times. Just go to Expedia & plug in some fake days to see how the prices go.
In fact I just Booked myself today for Caesars Mon-Wed at the end of Feb and the 2 nights are Free with my "Total Rewards" Comp.
Of course I go just to Gamble when I'm in AC, not the other activities.

To Forth Ryte's point, one other thing Barb mentioned about this past Saturday night was how jacked-up prices were at all the dives. She said the prices at those horrible little motels on the Black Horse Pike as you get close to town were going for $150-$170 per night and rooms at places on Pacific like the Flamingo were going for over $200 I think she said. She wondered what a place like the Borgata was getting. I only stay there or anyplace else in AC if I'm being comped. I think the basic non-comped Borgata room on a Saturday usually goes for $459. Not sure if they charge a premium for big event weekends. But obviously the non-casino places gouge as much as they can.I thought this thread was sounding familiar, so looking back in the archive I see where last June Forth Ryte and I had a short exchange on the topic of room pricing for "big event weekends" in AC. Ironically and sadly, the "Barb" quoted in June is one of the victims who was found recently outside one of those dumps whose prices she complained about here.
As for Trav Pokerman's comment about Caesars, since the Sands closed I'd say that the vast majority of casino rooms in AC are more than adequate, and some are a whole lot better than that. Those older rooms at Caesars are a real exception. When Harrahs bought Caesars/Ballys over a year ago I remember reading comments by a senior Harrahs exec who said how shocked they were at the poor quality of some of the rooms at Caesars AC.

Mike80 has a long memory. True, we had an exchange about the high prices of rooms last June, but I had hoped to learn that there were bargains to be had now that it is the winter "off" season.
How disappointed I have been to learn that there is no such thing a time off for high prices.
Mike80 also says that mid-week is better. I have never taken the time off to go to AC mid-week. I'd try it but from reading the forum, my impression is that mid-week the SW traffic is off, even in summer. On the other hand a good reason to go in summer is that the SW fashion parade is a steamy as the weather even in the late night hours.
Let's see, I need to chart a time when it is on seaon for SW, off season for room rates, on season for skimpy dress, off days for room rates, on days for SW traffic, off days for LE traffic, plus the moon should be in the second house of aquarius and my birth sign should not be eclipsed by a mercury retrograde.
I'll have to get back to you guys on this.............

I seldom travel anymore and I wouldn't go to AC normally because I never win anything when I gamble. My ex had a big gambling problem. The Sands 'owned' her.
I knew it was a problem when that casino flew her and I from Baltimore to AC on a private plane. They fed us and gave us a nice room as well. Then my $15,000 bonus came up missing. :(
I came to town on Greyhound on Monday and left on Wednesday. $29 RT. Have to return before 3 days. Landed @ Ceasar's. Had to wait for a "greeter". Not to be confused with The Geator with Heater. ;)
It seemed that everyone on the bus knew the routine but me. The 'greeter' gave us a voucher for $17 to be cashed on the casino floor. They gave me cash which I spent at the Trop. It seems that Ceasar's won't give you one of their cards that tracks your spending without a driver's license. I wasn't driving and hadn't really thought it would be an issue but alas it was.
I took one of those neat jitneys over to the Trop and within 60 seconds I had my card. Score one for the Trop. BTW, I don't who runs the jitneys but I can say having traveled all over the U.S., no city has a more efficient public transportation system. At $2 a trip, it is a steal and it actually works well! I'll never drive to AC again.
I stayed @ the 'plush' El Dorado since it was located near the Trop. $45 a night tax included. The door locked and the bathroom and sheets were clean. Hot water included. What a country!! :D
It was cold and I arrived on Monday so I figured the SW choices would be limited and I was right. Though as the night wore on, there was a wide variety of skank available. As mentioned in other reports, the stroll has something going at all times. A lot of worn out older SWs.
There was street action out in front of the Fox Manor. Older SWs mostly coming out and a wide variety of drug dealers who must haver decided that I was LE. They kept their distance and I was happy for that.
The SWs kept hitting me up though. I took a jitney to the other end of Pacific and there was action therfe as well. Younger SWs mostly- really bundled up. Hey, it was COLD!!!
LE was present and accounted for all night. Most they were 'busy' talking with themselves, never getting out of their cars.
The next night @ 10pm I was coming out of the var at the Trop and waiting in a bar off the casino floor was this aged bleach blond. I can;t remember her name but she told me that she worked there often as well as Miami. She said she was 40. After I got her in the sack and the 'war paint' was coming off she looked at least 50. Hell I was drunk and she got me thinking with the wrong head. $$ for FS just was NOT worth it with her. She left me her card which I've misplaced, Pleasant conversation but don't monger while drunk. (I ONLY had two beers! I'm getting old!) :( :(
She said that the Trop has nightly action. With the cheap hotels nearby, that is a good thing.

We've all been there Larry! After a few beers at the go-go joints and getting the engine warmed up, you grab a lady and realize the wrapper was the prettiest part LOL
AC has really cleaned up it act. I thought I saw upscale shopping standing alone then realzed it was new outlets.
They are just plan rude at Bally's. I wrote management to complain, not that it will do any good. God forbid that you are standing in the wrong line.

If you arrive earlier in the day on Greyhound (...and leave the drinking to them!), I see that you get more money back. Why would anyone drive to AC> $29 RT...$20 cash back. When I arrived later, it was only $17. The cab from my house to the bus station costs more!
The bus driver on my return trip was pretty hot. Her bane was Kim and weighed maybe 90 lbs. She could lift heavy bags though like toothpicks. Is Greyhound REALLY FS??? :D

Great to get the Larry56 perspective on our city. As for a couple of your comments/questions, yes the #2 Jitney will take you to the Marina district casinos including the Borgata. The Borgata is worth visiting IMO as it's definitely the best one in AC - very current LV'ish. There's usually not a lot of obvious action in the casino but it can occasionally be found. The Borgata Babes - their cocktail waitresses, are a few cuts above the average for casinos anywhere. There's been controversy about the Borgata's rule that the Babes can't ever gain more than a certain small amount of body fat over the percent when they were hired, or they can be fired. Gotta keep 'em young and fresh. The rule sucks from the woman's point of view, but I have to say I appreciate it.
As for the Sands, nope it's a goner. The property has been sold and plans are to build another big expensive casino ala the Borgata. Might be wrong but your bleach blond at the Trop sounds like it could be Simone who I know does work Miami and AC. Haven't seen her in a long time. If it was her, I do give her BBJs a solid thumbs up.

It's the same out in Vegas. Of course I have no idea if this is a new development or if it is completely normal - and frankly, I don't give a fuck - Poker has never been more enjoyable!
I use this all the time when I travel. Go to the Convention and visitors bureau website ( or for that matter just do an internet search for convention listings.)
Look for a convention in town the same time you are going to be there. Go to the website for the convention and usually in a friendly helpful manner there will be a link for "Lodging Info."
Here will be listed the hotels participating in the conference and what code to mention when making the reservation to get a discount.
I have been to AC 7 times for business and 4 times for pleasure. Each pleasure trip was at a major hotel (Caesars, Trump, Trop) with a room rate of $125 or less...even on a weekend.
The hotel doesnt ask for verification other than the secret "code".
On my pleasure trips I was "with" a Glass convention, an antiques convention, a steel manufacturers convention and a law enforcement convention.

Booked myself at Showboat the end of Feb, Mon-Wed Deluxe Room FREE on Comp. I have gotten into the habit of doing this at least once every 4 months. I don't normally "Monger" like you guys but FYI if you drop just a hundred in the Slots at Showboat, you'll get all the Flyers in the mail from Harrah's you can stand for Free Rooms at all of their AC Properties (Harrah's, Showboat, Caesars & Bally's) thru their "Total Rewards" card. Harrah's is the Biggest on Promotions, I get more from them than any of the other Casinos.

Very late report!
My last trip to AC was this past summer but I did not do as much mongering as I thought I would. The action was all around when I took a stroll even though I visited during the week. The daytime action reminded me of K ave in Philadelphia with just the expectation of higher prices. One of my problems with mongering was that I parked my car and with all the free drinks, I did not want to be out driving. The other was that I was too busy with the other vices. Staying in Ballys, I did not see many providers actually in the casino. I may have spotted one walking through the wild wild west. There was one woman who tried to make small talk as I played craps. I was surprised Bally’s allowed this. She was not playing and just stood in one of the empty player spots. She was not attractive at all and I eventually left the table when I realized that she was not going anywhere. I had a great time just looking but I left with the idea that just like the AC hotels are overpriced compared to LV some of the providers might think they can command LV type prices.
Now, I’m planning a winter trip probably this weekend. I will probably stay at or near the Trop. Maybe I will break away from blackjack long enough monger.

Now, I’m planning a winter trip probably this weekend. I will probably stay at or near the Trop. Maybe I will break away from blackjack long enough monger.Better late than never. I didn't monger myself but did look around while driving between casinos both during the day and at night. Very little available. It's probably a combination of the cold and continued fallout from last Fall's murders. Whatever the reason, it's a different AC for mongers right now. In normal times, AC SWs can be found for similar to only slightly higher prices than on K. Even now, if low price is important, you'll probably want to look a couple blocks either side of Tennessee St or the area roughly between the Trop and Fox and Abel Manors. SWs in the mid-town area (Ballys, Caesars, Plaza) are more likely to charge higher prices. Action in the bars and sometimes even on the gaming floor, as you mention, continues to be available.

I do not plan on too much bargain basement shopping in AC. I have a feeling that you more or less get what you pay for when going low end in AC. I guess you can get lucky if you spend some time at it but I will probably not devote much time on this trip. I am also a little leery of the high end not being all that it is cracked up to be. It is hard to do a search for reviews on a $$$ provider when you see her for the first time in a Casino bar.
For the entertainment factor, my money is probably best spent on the tables getting my free drinks! I am an amateur when it comes to AC mongering and until I earn some stripes, I will stick to what I know.
