Just use a manscaping trimmer / electric razor. I don't shave totally bare, it'll get itchy, so I use the shortest setting on an electric razor (1/4 in). It's not porn star smooth, but it's out of the way, less messy, and I like it way better than letting it grow out. Plus it's just easy and fast. As for body hair, no idea, I'm pretty bare other than a small patch on my chest.

I tried it, thought I was going burn it off. The hair wiped off, then had to figure out what to do with it, hadn't planned well. If you try, keep track of time, I think label said no longer than 15 min. Then use heavy duty paper towel to wipe the hair off so you can just throw them away. Then rinse really well. Like really well.
