I'm looking for details on the best places for short stays for outcall. I've noticed that most rooms in CLT are around $65 after tax so I'm looking to see if maybe there is something cheaper, especially for a 1 to 2 hour visit. Preferably places that accept cash and won't request a large deposit amount for the room (some of the hotels / motels I've booked for outcalls take deposits of $50-$100 on top of the room rate). Out in chicago I used to be able to get 2 hour rooms for $30 (granted they were not in the best neighborhoods but it was safe enough for you to do your thing and leave without experiencing any trouble).

If you know of any spots, please post the name of the place, the address and rate if possible. If you have a private hookup (a private room or apartment that someone rents you to do your thing for a few hours), you can PM me those details as well. Thanks in advance and stay safe.

The only place I can think of right off is Hilltop in Gastonia for $30 but it is a real dump. I am thinking there may be a couple of phone apps to find short stay rooms but I can't think of their names.

You can try dayuse.com. I've never seen anything in CLT less than $79. Apparently you can reserve a room online without a credit card.

Actually the Hilton Charlotte Executive Park at 77 and Tyvola is available for $60 for the day. Maybe they sre lowering rates due to COVID.

ALL these places have lost a lot of business. Business travelers are doing all their stuff online but I would bet many hotels will be willing to rent a room for the day. Just tell them you need to take a nap and freshen up before a meeting? Not that it is any of their business. One time I rented a mid-range hotel for the night but only used the room for a couple of hours. Many people never go to the front desk to check out. Many just leave the key in their room and leave without checking out. I am still thinking there is a phone app for this purpose. There are a lot of reasons someone can think of that someone may need a room for a couple of hours. You can also tell them the power is out at your house or you just need a quiet place to get some work done. They way their business is right now, they will be glad to get any business they can.

What place? You can find Marriott properties cheaper than that?

Yep, that was a typo / autocorrect issue. The ball field downtown for the Knights.
