Hi guys. I stupidly started chatting with someone claiming to be from Youngstown. She wanted to meet but wanted to exchange pics before we did. Then she asked for 40. I decided it wasn't going to kill me if something bad happened. So I sent via PayPal. Well it won't get delivered till Oct 6th but it is there. She then started in with wanting more and when said "no" , now she is threatening to put my info all over the web. Has my name and what town I live in (which is incorrect) and my real cell. So what can I do or is this all lame on her part?

Should never have gone there. Now I have family and friends asking why I changed number. Ugh.

Deal with the exposure and don't give any more money. Paying more only signals that you are a good one to further scam.

About 3 years ago an escort that my friend saw a bunch of times decided to extort him for 2 grand. She did have a picture he sent as part of her initial screening process. But all the times he saw her never gave his real name or real phone number. He ignored her extortion attempts and she did post the fake name and burner phone number with the picture. Fortunately nothing came of it and no one ever found out. ALWAYS use a burner / app number no matter how many times you see the girl.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with burner phones, how to obtain, how they work, etc. But I have learned my lesson. Thanks for the comments and advice.

Thanks for the comments and advice. You go to the electronics department at Walmart and tell the associate that you want a Straight Talk phone and a 25 dollar refill card.
