Most I've connected to so far wants a deposit, which is a hard no from me and usually means the end of the conversation. Still looking for that one in a million. Out of the 20 or so I've been in touch with, 10 haven't responded at all, 2 are local, I'm convinced and the rest are definitely scams.
When asked about location, I usually say Lake Forest or Lake Bluff and you can pretty much tell right away that they are clueless about how wealthy those areas are. Their reaction is all I need to determine if they are overseas or local.
