Anyone know what happened to the Latin Palace? I went by there and the building is boarded up - looks like construction inside the whole building. I know the club in fact there are two in that area where almost all the girls are availible for an afterparty. there's so many girls there that you cant keep track, but be careful of that hotel LE rolls through there from time to time.

I went to the Latin Palace once. When they first dropped ads in the City Paper and they was still in DC. Dude on the phone gonna tell me, come over he got a few latina chicks idle. You're probably asking the wrong audience this question for the reason that we live here, we don't stay in hotels here ( except cheapo ones to meet hookers ) of the upscale nature you describe. I am going to try hitting a few places in the Tysons corner area like "Clydes," "Sam & Harrys" (where I saw escorts in bar area once). and some Hotel bars. There is the added incentive (at least for me) of finding the one night stand now and then as a bonus! I have to agree with Trashman about Local mongers not being able to check out the businessman's hotel. I for one mostly make daytrips to the the District. I was fortunate enough to overnight the first of last month and stayed at the Marriot at Tysons Corner. I checked out the lobby bar and saw what was probably one working girl but since she was already occupied I went hunting and found nothing. Had a too infrequent opportunity to get out for a few hours in the evening a couple of weeks back so decided to explore new territory - DC. Yep, in all the time I've lived in NOVA, I've never onced gone SW hunting in DC. Always went to the Block and worked the Balto streets for SW, mostly with a lot of success. Did do a couple of AMP's and strip joints a few years back but nothing really worth writing about.
Anyway, based on the info I've read on this board, I cruised New York Ave., looked for the Texaco Sta. and Super 8 motel mentioned here but found neither. Had no idea where on NY Ave. to look though. finally found myself on K & 7th and Bingo! I spot three of four of them. I drove around the block and by the time I got back to the scene, they were already gone. Is DC competitive or what? Kept driving around and finally spot another one again on K & 7th. I think you have to learn DC to have consistently good experiences there, or at least have alot of time to kill. 7th street is a TV area, but if you take time and WALK around you will find good and cheap SWs, especially after midnight. Also, there are other areas where it is mostly girls like on K street from 11th street on up.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to be diplomatic and talk your way out. I have experienced two BAD scenes with chicks I decided I didn't want to do business with once they got in. I have picked up several SW's from that exact spot and never had any problems. I do find that the better ones do seem to be either on K Street or L street between 12th and 16th roughly.
Although they do travel in small packs of 2 - 4, they do seem to hang all together to total 25 or more in those areas, but they're never out before about midnight and then they all come crawling out from whatever rock they've been under at one time. From what I can see, the pricing structure at ICM is totally different than at AMPs. In my past visits to ICM (many described in previous posts here), I have always paid a $100 house fee for 30 minutes and usually only tip a small amount on top of that, say $20, since the massage is usually lousy and I've never received anything more than a HJ (I'm always told that this is a HJ-only place and the girls really don't expect much in the way of tips above the house fee). This contrasts with an AMP, where the house fee is $60 for an hour with an authentic massage, and anything else is extra, $100 or sometimes more for FS.
And to Classicbuzz, my previous posts have also described experiences similar to yours at ICM and the AMP above it. Stay far away from that area...it's all dudes. Your best bet as was mentioned ealier is the are of K St up to M St, and from 10th St to about 16th or 17th St's. Most start coming out at about 11 because that's when the LE shift change is. Hope this helps.

Hi, have not posted on this section before, but since I had the Field Report, I thought I would contribute... This was in MAY, so this report is not current, but asking for a girl by name may get you past some of the initial distrust.

The method I mentioned of walking around to cut your deal with SWs has its pros and cons; one con being, as Trashman mentioned, that she might remember you if you "ditch" her when you you tell her you'll swing around with your car and get her.
BUT!!!! I am a no bullshit person and don't talk trash with the girls. Don't take this approach of walking around lightly, and view it as a way to get cheap thrills and mess with a bunch of sexy girls or you will pay the price. I take plenty of time making my choice, and only talk to the girl in depth when I'm very serious about paying for her services. I rarely have to do the "ditch" and usually move to another area if I do.

To your question, the answer is that it all depends on what exactly you mean by being new to the scene. If you mean just new to picking up an SW, then she would be fine, but most of the girls are fine in that regard and it all depends on what you want, a quick bj in the car or FS in a hotel. If you've never picked up an SW before, then it's simply getting used to doing that that you need and all you need to concentrate on is not hitting the car in front of you while you're staring driving down the K Street service lane. It couldn't be any easier. When one of them looks good just stop and she'll do the rest so you don't need to look for Fire. The next step is to know the prices and you should have an idea from reading the posts and then find someplace to park or a hotel that's not unsafe. Once you've busted your cherry, then you can get into the nuances and be more selective. If on your first time you try to be selective and find that perfect girl, you will end up frustrated and get careless. So just concentrate on the basics.
Now, if by new to the scene you mean that you have never been with a prostitute of any kind be she an SW, an escort, or a stripper, then I do not recommend starting out on the street. The street does require keeping your wits about you and that's a lot harder to do when you're horny and inexperienced. If that's the case I recommend one of three courses of action. First time on these boards, been reading for a couple weeks.

Yes, there are some SW's out in the daytime in Dc but very rarely and little choices. I cannot seem to get this across so I'll try again. The way it woks in DC is they come out after midnight! What part of that do people not fuckin' understand? I don't know why that is the way it is in DC, I don't make the rules but that's the way it is. So deal with it or beat off. Seriously, you start seeing a few at like 11:30pm and they all come out at once like bats from a cave at dusk by 12:30. Between 12:30 and 2:30 it's a regular fuckin' rodeo. Girls and cars everyfrigginwhere.
The action at the Texaco area is much less consistent and the girls are all the same. They shuttle around I discovered.
Now, do we all get it? Yes, I know it's late and it's hard to get out if you have an old lady. Tough titty!
As far as SW hotels, all the hotels along NY ave from Florida to just past the Texaco will be glad to take your money, but most are not one hour SW houses. I'm not familiar with the yellow sign house that Word mentioned and I have also read about in the past. The SW flophouses I do know of are at Rhode Island and South Dakota. Trust me, spend the extra money for a real hotel room!

I wanted to give some feedback on the walking technique of picking up SW's that was discussed earlier. I told you I would try it and report back. here are my impressions:
I parked on 16th street between K & L ( btw, that's a half block from Archibalds strip club on K street. It's been years since I was there and didn't like it much back then, but I sauntered in to get warm and lo and behold, what a great place! Very warm casual atmosphere not like some places that are kind of cold feeling and very hot girls. Not Playboy quality super silicon totally unapproachable pure eye candy like in Camelot, but pretty close in looks and great attitudes and very friendly. DC does not have lapdancing so don't ask about that. I got the very strong impression that becoming a regular there would get you after hours action no doubt and sisnce it's so close to the street action it's really convenient ) Any way I walked up L st to 13th and then back to K street and headed back towards 16th through the gauntlet. let me say this, you certainly see a lot more on foot than driveing even slowly. There are quite a few wannabe or real badasses hassling the girls walking along and in cars. I assumed some at least were rival pimps looking to steal girls. They don't bother guys like me though, we seem to be off limits. There are a few dregs that hawk you for some whorehouse located on 15th near Mass ave and offer to tell you where it is for some money. Right! Kiss my ass! Anyway, they're harmelss. Interesting view point it's almost like you're behind the scenes. You can see right into the cars really easy so if you guys think you're not that visible, think again so don't be pickin' your nose! You see a lot more girls and you come to realize how fast their turnover is as new ones pop up all the time within minutes of passing a spot in a car. I also saw several girls literally start to run like hell after a certain car passed them. Two white guys in a beat up white Chrysler K car who took off fast whipping around the next corner when they saw the girl run so they were either undercover or pimps and she'd been misbehaving or they were former customers she'd ripped off. Many girls actually look better than they do from the car while others look way worse so you definitely get a much better picture on foot especially of the bodies. The girls definitely recognize you as a john and approach you, but they seem a bit more subtle about it. You can stand and chat a bit while each of you is sizing the other up. Most times they then step up really close and tell you to feel their tits.
Gee, do I hafta? Well ok if you say so! Then they'll talk business. Here's the part of this I liked the best. On more than one occasion, I've a girl get in the car, only to be disapointed with her looks or the size of her ass ( too much junk in the trunk ) and you're sort of stuck with her for the next few minutes anyway while trying to decide just how horny you really are. On the street that's not a problem because you see them up close and personal and don't even begin to approach bad ones. Now I have two rules with hookers. One, no bullshit rules like don't touch me here or there or do this or that or can't stick your fingers in me blah blah blah and the second one is I only want bareback BJ's anymore, period. If she won't do that she flunks the first test and I move on. I have had to toss out a few from the car for not being willing to comply. They're pretty shocked when I actually toss 'em out, but rules are rules. More than once when they see I'm serious about it rather than lose a sale they agree to my terms in that department. Well, once they're in the car, it's a helluva lot harder to get them out and sometimes they pitch a fit. Then you gotta drive back to the spot where you picked them up and start all over again. Walking eliminates that hassle and time taken to weed out the non performers. It's great. And they don't seem to get pissed off either. In fact several girls told me that they don't but they would be happy to hook me up with one who does. Cool!
Now the down side is right now it's cold. And, since there is a constantly changing menu, the time it takes to walk the circuit you might miss one fine one but in your car you can cover more ground faster. I do think though that as you circle around and around in your car that you become way too visible to everyone for my tastes but I felt much more invisible casually walking down the street and stopping now and then to look around, light a cigarette, chat with a girl who's simply stopped to bum a cigarette from you, nothing else, honest. So, I intend to work this way a bit more and see how it goes. None of them seemed to mind walking a few blocks to the car. I think they feel less conspicuous as well then standing on the corner yelling at cars going by and jumping into them literally right in front of LE cruisers.
To those of you who hope to get lucky cruising early, dudes, I am older than most of you with a bum ticker and I realize that's pretty damned late and hard to make an excuse to the old lady why you're out that late but you can get away with it at say 9 or 10pm. Hey, been there and done that! My old lady just returned from out of town and already she's driving me batshit and all I wanna do is hit the streets. When you have the freedom, do what I do, take a nap, then drive up to the Block or hit a strip joint local and get your mind in the right frame of horny reference, catch a buzz and then hit it at midnight. DON"T waste your time earlier than that. You will only think that this sucks there are no SW's TrashMan's fulla shit. I was frustrated and thought the same until I finally decided to pull my head outa my ass and read the posts and try it at midnight and wow, they weren't kiddin'
I'm new to DC, recently taking a job downtown. With the cold weather the past few weeks I haven't been in to cruising, but based on some previously posted info, I decided to try the downtown AMP last week. Being forewarned, I wasn't intimated or scared off walking up the piss smelling staircase. Once inside I wasn't disappointed. I was travelling back from a trip to Arizona (See my reports Feb 4-10 in AZ > Tucson and Mexico > NW > Nogales) and arrived BWI late. Thought I would try the DC scene since you guys seem to have a lot of action.

I read your post here and on NOVA board and have to say that all the info you want is in the posts on DC, you just have to read them. Go back a bit and look them over and detailed geographic locations are very clearly mentioned. I would stay away from 400 block of K street if I were you. that's a pretty rough area and some of the girls have dicks.
Here it is so you don't have to work hard:
Kstreet and L street NW between 12th and 18th streets with most action at 13th, 14th, Vermont, and 16th. Time: only after midnight, do not waste your time before that. After that, you'd have to be completely friggin' blind to miss them.
Rates: BJ 30 - 40, FS 50 - 100
Reading the posts in detail and making notes will provide you with a pretty foolproof plan of action.
Stripclubs in DC are no touch no lapdance. After hours action can be had but it is more rare and requires you be a regular.

Report on Downtown Spa, Vermont Avenue between K and L Sts:

Oh yes, I have been to Clicks many times. It is not a secret bar although it looks like one. It's on L street between just off 15th street. As you drive up L street, it's on the right above a sandwich joint. Small door and up the stairs. During warmer weather, you simply follow the blaring music coming out the windows. They usually having flashing disco type colored lights in the windows so look for that. It is a really late hours place that pretty much follows along the lines of the SW hours so it's usually empty until about 11pm or midnight. It is a tiny place with a small bar and sort of a back room they can seal off for "private parties" but I have never seen it shut. There are several other small back rooms. The drinks are incredibly cheap here if you're a regular.
The SW's float in and out, but most that come in are not the hotties. In the old days as the archives report, it used to be a great spot because if you were a regular, you could choose ladies from a photo album the bartender kept behind the bar. I took my time and sure enough, after I became a regular enough face, the book was brought out for me. There were some very hot girls in it, usually party photos taken in the bar, not escort web site type photos so it's innocent appearing enough if the wrong people saw it and they check you out pretty well. You have to be willing to put in the time there before you are accepted and even then, there are a lot of guys I recognize from being there who clearly have not seen even half of what I am talking about here so there are no guarantees. Frankly, unless you're willing to spend the time, there are better ways to get girls, just drive the strip and get 'em. However, there are things available in Click type situations that you won't find on the street.

IHC is located in 1818 New York Avenue NE which is the large office building at the corner of New York and West Virginia.
It is upstairs, on the second floor. When you get to the top of the stairs, follow the hallway around to the left and turn the corner. It is about half way down on the left. The sign says "Mini Health Club". Ring the bell.
I believe they are open roughly Noon-late. I tried to go before noon once and it was closed.
I prefer to go there after 5 PM. Because this is an actual office building, and you are walking by other offices, which if you go during the day are open, and everyone in the offices can see you walking by, and I suspect they know where you are going!
It does have free parking though so it's very convenient. Standard rates. They have their own ATM on premises.

From what I have observed and heard, no difference. Like any human beings, some Asian girls may have a preference that perhaps relates to the service received. Overall, they do seem to be patronized predominaely by white guys though.

Some versions of aol seem to have this problem until you enable the cookies on the WSG control panel... the problem is that you can't do this unless you log on... however, if you have problem with your aol then open your windows internet explorer browser then enter the wsg site from there.

I don't know your routine but you might take a second look at what you are saying to the girls. I've spent a lot of time in Asia. I have never picked up a SW before. I usuallly frequent an AMP when I need some strange. It just seems cleaner and safer to me. I have however spent a lot of time conducting surveillance on the downtown DC scene. It is intriguing to me how many girls there are operating in the open with so much LE. Friday night 2/21 was a lost cause for me. I rarely get the chance to be out in the early hours of the morning so was looking forward to the opportunity as I cruised K St at about 2:15am Saturday morning.
DC was having a snow removal operation along K St with dump trucks lined up along K b/w 14th & 16th Streets. Lots of people were around in addition to the road crews. Now take this piece of advice, don't hang around in one place too long, you become noticed and that is NOT what you want. If you have a distinctive car as I do and some others I have seen post here, you have even less time not to be noticed. You can lengthen that time by taking a walk spin around the block in betwen car runs or have a beer at Archies to kill some time.
Also, when the street is fucked up with something like snow removal, take a ride out to NEW York Ave just past Florida and along that strip to the Texaco station. Sometimes the pimps move them out there if action isn't right on K street. I know, I followed a carload once that left K Street and went straight out to the Texaco and onto NY Ave. I was curious as hell as to where these girls were going and one guy driving soI just discretely tailed them Sure enough, my suspicions were correct. So take that ride. If nothing else you can grab some gas, a pack of smokes and cool it a while before going back to K street. Also on the way back hang a left on 5th or 6th street and look on K street right there. Yes, I know, some are guys, but a lot are not. I once picked up a really hot Asian chick right there! There is an AMP right there so I assume she was working there and got off work and I lucked out and came along at the right time.
And then back to K street for another look see.

I haven't been to Archibalds recently (in the last 2 years), but have been to both JP's & Good Guys. The girls at JP's tend to be younger and cuter than those at Good Guys. I first went to the Good Guys over 30 years ago when DC was really wild. I just don't like the no touch, no sit in the aisle, not this that and the other fuckin thing they enforce there and the girls have more tattoos than a biker gang.

Bmore is usually less that's true and I find 20-30 does the job whereas DC is more like 30-40. However, that being said, I have been quoted 50-60 as well and simply refused to pay that much. I answered one of my own questions posted yesterday: What's the Tanning Spa at 1415 11th St NW DC? Well, the answer is its closed and the phone is disconnected. I believe this used to be Ginza, then maybe called something else.
Anyways, their web page is still up and they are listed in the Super Pages (bigyellow dot com), but they ain't there now I don't think...

Thanks If you're willing to try an AMP that's nearby, the AMP with the initials CPHC is the Cleveland Park Health Club. It is located at the Cleveland Park Metro Stop (Red Line), only one metro stop away from the Wardman Park hotel.
As for having someone visit you, take a few minutes to read the posts from the last few months. Trashman seems to have the best info on this stuff.

OK...thepunter7216 is right it is called 1818 NY Ave NE, 'Mini Health Club. As u go down NY avenue you have to turn into the Business park. Then you walk through the main entrance. It is a business office building with several different offices inside. However it is located on the second level on the left walkway. I have not been there in a while so please update me on the selection there. I do beleive there is a kareoki bar there but iv never been there. damn u must have either have some balls on you or must have been really horny to go in there. I also think there is a club around back. I alsways though it was a korean cllub. Was always hesitant to check it out. Never really had any inclination to check out the bar/resturant upstairs.
I have always had GFEes from that AMP. I understand why u missed it though. its the office like place before the dance club on the LEFT side.

I was browsing the earliest posts on this new forum (ca. April 2002), and came across the web site "dclatina.com". The site is still up, but I find it so difficult to believe nobody has been referrencing it recently. Is this for real???
According to another board I used to frequent it is real. They have moved so the address on the site is not current but last I read the phone # is the same.
From memory, I believe it was written that the location is rather dirty and the ladies are somewhat hit or miss as regards looks and ability. But, the implied services are provided at the cut rate prices - it was not a rip off.
