I am hoping some might find this helpful.

I had a period of about 10 years ago where I was prescribed ED meds. They definitely resulted in instant and consistent erections, but eventually I feared I might get too reliant on them and so I stopped.

About two years ago I got interested in something more herbal that might help make my erections more long-lasting and also give me a bit more sex drive. I went down the rabbit hole of various herbal remedies, and I eventually decided to go with Tongkat Ali. (I am not going to go into the dosages here, but someone can send me a private message if you are interested) I would say it was about a couple of weeks before I started to feel the effects of the herb. The biggest thing was solid morning wood. It had been years since that had been happening with me. I also noticed at happy ending time the volume of fluid was greatly increased. Because of that, the orgasms themselves seem stronger.

After a month or so, I started to have some negative side effects. Not so bad that I thought about getting off of it, but just some negative things. There was definitely an edginess developing about me. Additionally, I was having more trouble going to sleep. Whenever I took the herb, I did so first thing in the morning. Also, for every three weeks on, I would take up week off. In the beginning of usage, I could really feel the effects of taking a week off, but as I was on it longer and longer, I still felt that edginess and the restless sleep even with a week off the herb. Still, I felt the trade-off was very worth it. My erections were harder than ever, my sex drive was as strong as in my teens and 20's, and the volume of fluid made orgasms seem better and stronger.

After about a year into taking it, I noticed that I was starting to develop acne again. Definitely not as severe as in my teens, but I was almost always dealing with a blemish on my nose or my cheeks. Occasionally on my body. Another six months after that, the acne was really getting bad on my nose, so I decided to take a month off from Tongkat Ali. The acne finally improved, and the restless sleep as well. I was also feeling less edgy by the end of the month. Interestingly, morning wood was still hard as ever and the volume of orgasmic fluid was still a good amount.

I really didn't want to go back to the acne getting worse, so about a month ago I did more research and I decided to try Korean red ginseng as an alternative. I've been using that for about a month. It's hard to say what exactly is a lasting effect from being on the Tongkat Ali and what is the ginseng. I have been off the Tongkat Ali now for two months, and my initial impression is that the Korean red ginseng is contributing to my sex drive and my solid erections, but without the edginess of the Tongkat and with no reemergence of acne so far. I'm going to continue the Korean red ginseng until that botttle runs out, and I'll see if the positive results continue. If they do, I doubt I will go back onto the Tongkat ali because of the acne thing.

To close, I just wanted to mention that being on the herbs gives me a better feeling overall because when I was on cialis it just seemed like erections were happening in an unnatural way. I could rub up against the kitchen counter and have an erection if I wasn't careful! On these herbs, erections happened more naturally, yet they are hard and the increase in fluid contributes to great powerful orgasms. When I was on the Cialis, there were times when I had an orgasm and it seemed like there were three little drops of semen. The herbs have increased that amount by 100 times.

I hope that some people find this helpful. Again, if you want to know which of the herbs I settled upon and what I was using for dosages, just shoot me a private message.

I think most of the effect of the Red Korean Ginseng was residual Tongkat Ali. Mid to late January, I was definitely not feeling the effects from Red Korean Ginseng I had had before when taking Tongkat Ali regularly. The last couple of weeks in Feb, I've been doing four days on Tongkat and three days on Red Korean Ginseng. This week, in particular, I can start to feel the effects of the Tongkat again. So, I will continue to mess with the Tongkat dose to keep the edginess and acne at bay. Will report back in 6-8 weeks. The takeaway for those who care is, of the two herbs, Tongkat is the more vital. I've heard that red korean ginseng can thin your blood and can get dangeroues if too much usage. Anyone, care to validate or?Ginseng is known to cause numerous side effects. It should not be taken continuously. You should only take Asian ginseng in cycles. For example, take every day for 2 to 3 weeks, then stop for 3 weeks, then start back.

I've heard that red korean ginseng can thin your blood and can get dangeroues if too much usage. Anyone, care to validate or?I take a baby aspirin every day. If I were to start taking ginseng, I would also discontinue the use of aspirin.

Proceed with caution when taking herbal supplements. It's not like taking an FDA-approved medicine: You can't be certain about the amounts of active ingredients and their effectiveness.

I've been cycling both herbs, since the beginning. Time on, time off.

But if your on medication you must watch out what your taking especially if your on blood thinners, statins, or any heart medication. There were times that I didn't need to take sildenafils etc when taking them.
