View Full Version : Getting Arrested

So I've been doing this for a number of years and have been fortunate enough so far to avoid being pinched. Getting busted enjoying our hobby has to be one of everyone's greatest fears, I know it's definitely one of mine. How embarrassing it would be. How you would be completely fucked if they did actually take you in, especially for all of the married men with jobs and families. Getting busted could be a life changing event. It could legitimately ruin many lives.

I wanted to start a discussion with anyone who cares to participate about their experiences with our uncle. Out of all of the posts I've read across multiple boards, in multiple states / cities, I've never read a post from a member warning about a sting. It's got me wondering-What actually happens when you get caught? Is it like you see on Cops where they give you a disorderly conduct if you complete a class? And what about boards like this one, I'm sure uncle is aware of it, do they threaten obstruction if you post and expose their sting? How could they prove that even if they obviously knew it was you?

Ever since FOSTA, my nuanced way of keeping myself safe has been completely disrupted and I'm finding myself becoming more paranoid. Part of me thinks that the cameras on SC and other places are more for serious crime and are reviewed by police when they need information. Maybe we're all just being way too scared. On the other hand, prostitution brings money to the criminal economy of any particular area it's operating in. So maybe if things are getting out of hand, a crackdown on any source of criminal income for a certain part of the city is warranted and that means arresting us.

It just seems odd to me that out of all of these posts from all of these dudes, we don't really see anyone shouting "Stay Away It's a Sting! Part of me just wants to hear about it so I can be informed and try to be less anxious about enjoying one of my favorite pass times. Fear of the unknown is real, and every time I'm about to TOFTT with a hottie who isn't reviewed, I get this creepy feeling that I'd be better off getting my dick sucked for. 20 out in the street. At least I can pretty much tell who's who and not have the potential of seeing a hotel door open up to a room full of badges. But 9 times out of 10 you're in more danger on the street. It's a catch 22.

Anyway, this is just something that's been on my mind for a little while and I wanted to share my fear. I'd be very interested to hear about everyone's thoughts, opinions and experiences on the matter. If anyone actually has been busted and doesn't want to share in open forum please feel free to PM. Although I do encourage people to share openly, that's kind of the point of this thread.

... Out of all of the posts I've read across multiple boards, in multiple states / cities, I've never read a post from a member warning about a sting... I think that's because it's hard for any of us to know in advance of when a sting will take place unless we have some sort of inside knowledge, or connection to the police department, or they are being extremely obvious, or careless about it as to allow enough time for word to get out that they are doing that. As a result, I think most of the time, the only knowledge we have of stings comes after the fact when we somehow see it reported in the news.

It's got me wondering-What actually happens when you get caught? Is it like you see on Cops where they give you a disorderly conduct if you complete a class? My understanding of this is a bit sketchy, so I can't say I entirely know for sure, but I think what happens when you get arrested, is your are taken to jail. The magistrate will look at your record, and based on whatever guidelines they have to follow will either set your bail at a certain amount, or deny bail. If it's the first time you've been caught, they will probably be more lenient than if you are repeat offender. If denied bail, you'd be stuck in jail until your court date. If granted bail, you'd need to try to get access to the jail phone, which might be a little tricky due to restricted calling times, and probably a lot of people wanting to use it, and then once you were able to do that, you'd need to call a bondsman to bail you out. If you don't know of a number to a bondsman memorized, you'd probably have to ask another inmate there if they knew of one, and if they could share the number with you. You'd end up paying the bondsman I forget how much. I'm thinking maybe $200 on a $2,000 bond, but am not sure, and then you are out until your court date. Then you go to court, and on a first time misdemeanor offense, I would think the district attorney would offer a way for the charge to be dismissed such as paying a fine, attending a class, and / or being placed on probation in which you are not caught doing it again, but am not sure about that. That's assuming you don't try to fight it. The second time you get caught, I believe they take it a whole lot more seriously, and call it a felony. I'm not sure that you can get one of those dismissed, but if you can, I'd imagine it'd be a lot harder than getting a misdemeanor charge dismissed, in which case there might be some jail time involved as punishment even if you do not try to fight it because I would imagine a person is not going to get arrested unless the police think the charges will stick, and from what I've read, it would seem they don't really need much for that to happen.

North Carolina Prostitution Laws.

https://www.ncleg.net/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/PDF/ByArticle/Chapter_14/Article_27.pdf

14-203. Definition of terms.

(5) Prostitution. The performance of, offer of, or agreement to perform vaginal. Intercourse, any sexual act as defined in G. S. 14-27.20, or any sexual contact as. Defined in G. S. 14-27.20, for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification for any money or other consideration. (1919, c. 215, s. 2; C. S. , s. 4357; 2013-368. S. 5; 2015-181, s. 17.).

My 2 Cents: Where it says "for any other consideration" seems like very broadly worded language.

14-205.2. Patronizing a prostitute.

(a) Any person who willfully performs any of the following acts with a person not his or her spouse commits the offense of patronizing a prostitute:

(1) Engages in vaginal intercourse, any sexual act as defined in G. S. 14-27.20, or any sexual contact as defined in G. S. 14-27.20, for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification with a prostitute.

My 2 Cents: Where it says "with a person not his or her spouse commits the offense of patronizing a prostitute", again that sounds like incredibly broadly worded language to me. It also sounds logically flawed because by this logic, a person who say for example, on their prom night, gets laid, is committing prostitution even though that's probably not the mindset as it's happening or the way a person would normally view that. And oddly enough, if you are married to someone, and say, "Hey baby, I'll give you $20 for a blowjob" that's not patronizing a prostitute according to this statute, even though the statute that defines prostitution would say it is. So to me, it would seem like they can basically make up whatever crap they want, and it stick. And it need not to be necessarily based upon logic or reason to do so.

Possible Legal Defenses.

And what about boards like this one, I'm sure uncle is aware of it, do they threaten obstruction if you post and expose their sting? How could they prove that even if they obviously knew it was you?I don't see how a hobbyist could reliably expose a sting for an obstruction of justice charge to be possible. At best, I would think all a hobbyist has to go on is just a hunch most of the time. However, if there was a way for a hobbyist to do so, it would not surprise me if LE would take advantage of overly broadly worded language in other statutes as to take action against such a person. But whether or not a hobbyist could do so in the first place seems like a highly theoretical question.

I'd be very interested to hear about everyone's thoughts, opinions and experiences on the matter. My opinion on it is that what consenting adults do, is their business. That it is a private matter. Who I have sex with is my business. It's not the judge's business, it's not the district attorney's business, or the mayor's, or city council's, law enforcement's business, or the attorney general's business or anyone else's. It is my business just as it's none of my business who they have sex with, and if I thought it would do any good, I would tell each of these people to their faces that, but of course, I know it wouldn't, so I won't, but that's what I think about it. I think they are all full of crap to think they have any right to tell anyone else how to live.

If I responded to a STG ad that turned out to be a sting, you better damn well believe I'd blast that shit all over the board if at all possible. I don't believe I've ever seen that. I can't imagine they're hauling guys like us to jail for a non violent misdemeanor, so if you did get popped you'd most likely be let go and have a court summons mailed to your home. If that's the case, what's to stop us from warning our fellow hobbyists.

Anytime I follow through with an online ad, I always screenshot it. Just in case I need to refer to it later for whatever reason. I've always known which kind of ads to stay away from, but never actually knew for sure which ones were cops. It would just be interesting to see exactly what type of ad they would post. Hopefully I'll never find out the hard way!

Hopefully I'll never find out the hard way!Yeah, I've never seen anything like that either, and would think a part of the reason why might be because not everyone that gets busted necessarily uses, or knows about the board. They might have found out about the SW scene through word of mouth from one of their friends or something like that instead of here, and through the internet.

For those that do know about the board, I'd suspect such a person would be in such a state of shock and disbelief that they got busted, and caught up into what they were thinking that led up to it, that it wouldn't occur to them to report what happened to the board because for one they'd be caught up in their own little world, having thoughts like "What's going to happen to me? "What the hell was I thinking? Etc. And two that they might be worried that doing something like that might draw additional unwanted attention to them from LE if nothing else.

I'm not sure that it would occur to such a person that an obstruction of justice charge might come of it. I don't know that they would have necessarily thought that far ahead, but I think if LE can pick a law to use to go after someone, that they would, and in this case, an obstruction of justice charge might be something they'd try. And that's also assuming the monger just doesn't call it quits, and not report the sting, because I think for at least some people, after the first time they get arrested, they don't go back to doing the same things because the first time was such a horrible experience for them. When it happens to some people they might be of the mindset that the world is about to end when it happened or that there life is over, or ruined even though it may not necessarily be that bad. But when a person is really stressing out that much about something, I don't know that they would naturally think of warning someone else as much as they would be on focusing on themselves at that time, and then later on, they might have completely forgotten about the board.

So I think it would be great if fellow hobbyists did give us a heads up when and if they got arrested, but like I said, if they are too caught up in their own thoughts, and internal monologue, they probably aren't going to be thinking about the board too much. Also, if they are stuck in jail for a while, it's possible that they might not get out until the sting is already done and over with.

It appeared too good to be true. Beautiful lady, complete menu, very low price. I told myself this is either bait & switch, or Uncle LEO's Trap. I did not succumb to temptation. I waited until the following day when I met an old friend. After reading some of the threads, and from history of Uncle LEO Stings, more than likely you would be booked, and then issued a summons to appear, if you are caught in a compromising situation. If it is your 1st offense, you are looking at a $1000 fine + enrollment in John School, unless of course you can find a saavy attorney who could make your problem go away. Just think with the right head, use your common sense, and do not succumb to temptation if you even suspect!

DBS,

Thanks for bringing this up on the board. I know many a mongerer has had this fear, including me. In fact I was so worried with this fear it caused me to drop off the monger boards for years. I went from posting (on multiple boards) a day to complete absistance. I began to fear that my posts could be used against me in some form or fashion. I contacted a lawyer to find out how I could protect myself. He said I needed to stay away from Backpage. LOL. I read a few reports that LEO used these boards to help track down traffickers and sites like BP helped to consolidate those type of people, bs or not, its def more work to find some tail. As mentioned earlier, I can't believe it takes so much effort to get my dick sucked. In Thailand they have establishments dedicated solely to this desire. Its like an AMP, walk in choose a girl, pay money, do the deed and leave. 20-25 minutes top. Here I can spend hours researching, vetting, and contacting a provider.

To answer your original question, I know of only one guy busted on seeing these ladies. He was driving down the road and saw a hot woman on the side of the road. He stopped and committed the cardinal sin, asked how much for a sexual act. BUSTED. To this day he will not pick up a SW. That was over 20 years ago! He had to pay a fine and some civic service. But it shook him to his core.

I've had a dui before, but I feel that a escort bust would be far more embarrassing. Why is that?

Answering a biological need shouldn't be this difficult!!

Also, I wanted to say thanks to Deathbystereo for creating dialog on the board, I've noticed since my return there is not as much free flow of info as there was. I completely understand that and don't hold that against anybody, but its cool that the board is being used for its intended purpose, the exchange of info for getting some action (no matter how tangential LOL).
To support what was mentioned earlier, if i were to be busted I would be completely stunned. I would like to think I would post the info on what got me busted, however there may be regulations stating you are not allowed to interact on these boards. Or they may pull the ads so quickly that the info is outdated. I'm sure LEO reads these boards, why wouldn't they? This also begs the question: should you have a lawyer on retainer? I am single so only shame and embarrassment I would face is my mom and work lol. I have mad respect for the married mongers who troll the pages for tail. I would think that an AMP would be the safest bet?

Just think with the right head, use your common sense, and do not succumb to temptation if you even suspect! That is absolutely ridiculous when you consider that SW prices are geared towards poor people. SW prices are not geared towards billionaires like Trump, who can afford to pay $10,000 for sex with a hooker, and then totally get away with it after it is discovered. And yet our legislature seems to think that is an appropriate punishment for the working class.

I can't believe it takes so much effort to get my dick sucked. Answering a biological need shouldn't be this difficult!!I couldn't agree more. It blows my mind to think there really are people out there. Judges, district attorneys, cops, etc. That really think that what we do is really that bad, or harmful, and that what they do in response to it is not. It's as though they see great harm in a guy getting his dick sucked, but they do not see great harm in charging him $1,000 or more that he might not even have, or having his car towed or impounded after arresting him that he needs for work, or making it hard for such a person to get a job in the future because of what is on their record. It makes me wish I could tell these people, "Oh, give me a fucking break. ".

I think the best argument that they can try to come up with is that our hobby feeds other crimes, but to me, that argument makes about as much sense as blaming Steve for what Rob does, in which I view Rob as being responsible for what Rob does - not Steve.

I've had a dui before, but I feel that a escort bust would be far more embarrassing. Why is that?I think in this country, the problem is it's history with religion, and how that has shaped or influenced everything else up to this point. I once attended a lecture in college about attitudes towards sex, and one of the things that was pointed out by the professor was the differences between America, and Scandinavian Countries. Over here, we censor sex and nudity, like it's a big deal, and if you're under 18, you usually can't get into movies with those things in it because they are usually rated as "Restricted", and if someone sees a tit, it's like "oh my god, it's the end of the world". Yet violence is condoned. Over here you can have a kid watch a movie a guy that gets his brains blown out, or someone mass shooting people, or sending bombs, or whatever, and that's "okay" despite one type of behavior to emulate being clearly far more harmful than the other. But over in some other countries, it's the other way around. Violence is censored over there, while nudity and sex are accepted, but those countries don't share America's puritan history with regard to religion. So I think that's why sexual behavior in America is judged so much more harshly than it is in other parts of the world. I'd say that many people in America have been brainwashed, either directly, or indirectly by Christianity and Catholicism to think that sex is bad.

And as you mentioned in Thailand, things are different. One of the reasons why things are different over there that I would point out, is that the primary religion is is Buddhism. Same goes for some other countries like Japan, where the primary religion is Shinto. The Shinto faith does not regard sex as bad or taboo either. So I think that has a lot to do with why people have such intolerant attitudes towards sex here.

Thanks to everyone who has shared so far. It's interesting to hear what everyone's thoughts and experiences are.

I used to exclusively hobby with girls from backpage and do the AMP thing. Since the shutdown, the quality of the affordable online escorts has dramatically suffered while all of the risks have increased. Add in the fact that reliable online fact checking resources (aside from this site) have also been shut down, and it makes responding to an online ad quite risky. Especially if the girl hasn't been reviewed here on the board.

These changes pushed me more towards the streetwalker scene since the quality of the escorts I was seeing was pretty much on the level of a street girl, except I couldn't see them until I got to whatever notel they were working out of. When you cruise the streets, you're more vulnerable in certain ways, but much less vulnerable in others. I've lived an interesting life so I'm pretty street smart. I've been somewhat of a fish in water, but I can't say that I don't miss relaxing in the privacy of a room and enjoying my session.

I guess I'm just feeling a bit jaded over the way things are concerning our hobby these days and it only seems to be getting more risky. More likely to be robbed, more likely to be arrested, more likely to have a terrible experience etc. I have the money to spend on higher end escorts, but I really don't want to. I've never been into the "high end" girls because there were always reliable mid level girls who were just as good for a fraction of the price. I mean let's face it, the results are the same whether you get a. 20 SW or a $5. 00 call girl.

Hypocritical bullshit propagated by people in power to serve their own interests. Prostitution should be legal, along with many other things. But we all know there's way too many people making way too much money strictly because it is illegal for that to ever change. Maybe one day, but unfortunately probably not in our lifetimes. I mean, our children aren't even given proper sex education! That's how sick this country's position is on sex. Sexual health goes hand in hand with physical health and mental health. Why would we neglect that? It's a shame, that's all I can say.

I've been a member of SA on and off for some time now and I still think that's the best bet for safety. It's fairly easy to spot out the fakes / scams and when talking to a girl remembering to use the right lingo and test the waters before meeting. I think as long as certain precautions are taken this hobby is still enjoyable without complete fear.

I mean let's face it, the results are the same whether you get a. 20 SW or a $5. 00 call girl. You are not the only one that feels that way. There is much to feel jaded, and paranoid over I think. Although, I feel like the greatest threat within the hobby generally comes from the LEO side, and the best solution I can think of is just not to play. I don't say that to be a prude, but realistically, I think they are always going to give us a hard time, and they are always going to give the girls a hard time too, no matter how compelling of an argument could be made for them not to. I don't think they will ever legalize prostitution in America.

I think they will continue to do stupid shit like mailing out "Dear John" letters to to people that have been seen in SW areas, but not necessarily guilty of anything. I think they will continue to treat guys like they are stupid by sending them to "John School", and talking about STDs like anyone in this hobby doesn't already know they exist. I think they will continue to go back and forth on whether or not hookers are criminals, or victims, while failing to realize that they are neither. (Why? Because they have failed to make the proper distinction there on that for decades.) I think they will continue to harass women found in SW areas regardless of whether they are doing anything or not. And I think whether a guy's intention was to get sex in picking someone up, or just to simply to give someone a ride, it will always be assumed that it was for sex regardless of what the case may be. And I think they will continue to charge guys who never do drugs with drug possession if someone they pick up brings it into their car, while thinking that charging them with that is the right thing to do. Even if that completely ruins their job prospects in certain fields. The scales of justice, when it comes to our hobby, I think, are broken. Things that should not be, are.

So, I think that leads to a fork in the road in terms of decision making to where the only real choices are try to either eliminate your risks, or at the very least, try to mitigate them as much as possible.

As far as eliminating risk, as a single guy, the only real solution I can think of to the problem, is to get a girlfriend, not necessarily for love, but for sex, and when you get tired of her, either cheat or find someone else if she does not allow you to be with other people. Same process for married guys, though it might be a bit more complicated. Either way, that might result in a lot of women getting emotionally hurt as things end, but it would seem the system the politicians designed and created, and that the LEOs are willing participants of would, prefer that outcome over one in which deception, and emotional manipulation weren't necessary to get sex. At least it would seem that way when you weigh it out in terms of possible long term consequences.

That I realize, is also a lot more work as probably the easiest way to get pussy is just to pick up someone willing to sell it. And then wham bam, thank ya mam. As simple as that. So as far as mitigating risk, I think the best thing to do would be to avoid areas where the risk of arrest is going to be the greatest. Although I've picked up people in Charlotte, my opinion of Charlotte of as a city as that it's just too risky. And I'd say that would probably go for most big cities because big cities usually have big budgets, which means lots of LEOs, which means lots of risk. A better choice would be a small town out in the middle of no where that has a SW scene, a weak LE presence and appear to be about 20 years behind the times to where the type of LEO you'd be liable to have to worry about would be someone like Barney, or Gomer off of the Andy Griffin show. An example of that would be a few towns out in Texas, Arizona, West Virginia, North Dakota, and California that no one has ever heard of.

I mean, our children aren't even given proper sex education! That's how sick this country's position is on sex. Sexual health goes hand in hand with physical health and mental health. Why would we neglect that? It's a shame, that's all I can say.I totally agree on that one too. I've learned a hell of a lot more about sex through the hobby than I ever did in a classroom. I guess we have the religious people that don't want their kids, or anyone else's for that matter, to know anything about sex at all to thank for that.

This too has crossed my mind far too many times in the last decade. Things have gotten tougher in the last year or so and girls are FAR more cautious and afraid than I've seen them in the last 10 years. I can't say what happens when you're arrested, but if I had to guess my gut tells me that LE isn't fucking around with adults doing adult things and paying adult prices. I believe they are targeting SWs, Traffickers, and the like who's business revolves around drugs and heavy crime. Many of these professional high-end ladies ($300+/ hr) are so far ahead of the lower end of the spectrum that they are smarter than LE and their targets.

It's like anything else, you get what you pay for. Is it expensive to hire these high-end girls? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Depends on what you're wiling to risk. I'm not an advocate for SW's or high end girls because the end result is the same. Many hobbyists cannot turn their little head off when it comes to pussy (ANY pussy) and end up getting themselves in a jamb. Are the girls from SA worth it? Probably, but rather than spending the money up front you have to sort and cater to them and spend countless hours back and forth and emails and texts and then you're still not guaranteed even getting your dick hard much less sucked and fucked LOL.

Stay away from trouble. Period. Use your head (both of them). If you get locked up--post it on here and let us all know how it is on the other side.

I would be more concerned with catching something rather then getting caught.

One cardinal rule I have had over the years is to NEVER EVER take a girl to supposedly meet someone who owes her money or who supposedly she owes money to, because nearly 100 percent of the time she is buying drugs and you have no idea if the place is being monitored by LE and you could get pulled over and arrested by LE for buying drugs, certainly a far worse charge than any prostitution related charges and harder to get out of. I tell the girl I will drop you off wherever you want but you're not getting back into the car and I'm not taking you anywhere else, period. I won't even do it for my long time girl I've known for 12 years. Only exception is if she wants to get a soda at a convenience store but it's my choice what convenience store. The LE targeting drug houses don't have any sense of humor whereas them pulling you over with a girl you just picked up that has drugs on her you might get a break. I've only been pulled by the Gastonia LE twice in the last 20 years and both times involved being in a seedy area letting a girl out and back in. No harm no foul tgey just made me uncomfortable. Don't let a girl bullshit you into taking them somewhere just refuse to do it.

Don't let a girl bullshit you into taking them somewhere just refuse to do it.That is some really good advice. Wish I knew of it when I first started out a long time ago. Back then, I picked up a girl that insisted on money upfront, and then to be taken to a house to get "something". No drugs at that house, so she tried to get me to take her to another. I refused. Then she had me try taking her a third place in which she basically took the money, and ran inside without coming back out. Didn't get arrested, and didn't think about that as a possible risk, but did get ripped off.

Don't let a girl bullshit you into taking them somewhere just refuse to do it.Funny you mention that, because just yesterday I made that mistake. I enjoyed the company of a young lady near Gastonia. She received some cash then asked for a ride to pickup something. I said no way I just don't do that. She begged and I told her no way. Because just like Gastonian says LE could be watching, or neighbors could write down your tag, and I sure don't need to get pulled over in front of a drug house. So the girl was accommodated by a stop at a convenience store. I went inside for a drink. She went for a walk down a nearby street. When she returned she put something in her purse in the trunk of a car and she was taken home. No LE around thank goodness.

I try to play it safe but sometimes this hobby just gets a little dangerous for me. All of these girls are on drugs, mainly heroin. And they use the money we give them to buy heroin.
