I haven't yet ponied up for SA yet either. But I have credits on the other site. I'm new so I can't answer your other questions, but the photo thing is complicated. I have my real photo as a private photo, which I share if someone asks for it. I keep trying to use blurry shots for the main photo, but they get rejected by the mods. I've tried finding fake photos of people that look like me, but no dice so far.

- This really varies and you really can't look at it at as a time transaction similar to professionals. I have never had anyone clock watch or felt rushed when meeting through SA. In my experience pay per meets (PPM) have been in the range of $150 to $350 with a lot of people in the $200 to $250 range. If you move to a monthly arrangement, you can probably get this number down a little bit.

It cracks me up when people try to make SA to be some sort of unicorn. There are all kinds on SA. Do they clock watch, hell yea. If you offer a higher allowance they'll watch it less, maybe. I think swimsays pretty well summed it up. A couple things I wanted to add from my own experiences (WYP and SA are the two I have experience with). These sites are very much YMMV. Appearances seem to matter on these sites, at least with some of the younger attractive girls.
But it definitely is time consuming! There are actually a lot of ridiculously beautiful women on SA but it does take time. Either waiting for them to respond / evaluating each other's expectations for the arrangement, verifying off the site (I really like Snapchat for this as it's the only way to guarantee the person you are talking to is the same as the pictures).
Ohh some language I use that seems to help get my intentions across without speaking explicitly on the site (which you should not do! A pay per meet arrangement x amount of times per month.
