I went to this Thai bar quite a while ago. It is located on Nuuanu Ave. just before Vineyard. The quality there was always pretty low, but there used to be a waitress there named Sam (I think?!?) that was really attractive and very nice. Don't know about whether action goes on at this place.

Isn't the bar on Queen Street past Cooke a Thai Bar? It has changed management several times, but I remember in the Spring the wailing singing that you'll find only in a Thai bar.

Any place else?Club Glamour (fka Velvet, Saigon Nites) is now known as Club Mystique. It is next to Side St. Inn.
Sisters Tina and Tiffany (formerly at Club By Nite) brought in some nice eye candy from California. Mostly Vietnamese, but a few other nationalities too. Not too sure about Thai girls, though. I haven't been there since March, so I don't know if the talent level has increased or decreased.

Sala Thai and Boomerang are both on the Diamond Head side of Nuuanu Avenue, mauka of the Kukui Street intersection. Sala Thai is at 1333 Nuuanu, while Boomerang is at 1339 Nuuanu.
Where is Club Glamour?
It was formerly located on the makai side of Hopaka Street, on the block between Pensacola and Piikoi. However, as far as I know it no longer exists.

Don't know if it's the same bar of which you're thinking, but during the late 1980s time period there was a small bar called "Club Bangkok" located next to the Akasaka restaurant (or whatever that restaurant was named at that time).

Where is Sky Lounge?
Sky Lounge is located at 1362 Kapiolani Boulevard, on the mauka side of Kapiolani, Diamond Head of the Sheridan Street intersection and Ewa of the Keeaumoku Street intersection.
Kathy's Place isn't really a Thai bar, although the MS and a couple of employees are Thai. It was more of a Thai place when Kathy was actually running it. Much less live Thai music than the old Blue Ocean Club. They do have a pretty decent local Puerto Rican band on Sunday eve; but cover charge, and drink prices increase a buck.
Cindy's on Kalani St (corner of Kalani and Kalihi) did have some Thai women working there, but that was a long time ago, haven't been there since.

You are right, but maybe other bros out there didn't know if Sky Lounge is a Viet, Korean or a Thai bar, honest mistake. Sometimes posts starts to wander astray and it cannot be helped. As long as info is passed on to one another it's all good. That what this site is basically for, right?
Maybe there should be a general list of different bars to each corresponding thread? Or maybe start a new thread LIST OF BARS? Fellow bros can add on to the ever changing lists of establishments. Just a suggestion.

No play available (I didn't know there was a room? ) in the booths, but it is very nice to not be attacked by "sharks". Sure, the girls want drinks, but most of them are so shy (at this point). Not drop-dead Tera Patrick Thai gorgeous (yeah, she's hapa), but quite an assortment to look at.
Have a beer, chill, maybe buy 1 drink for one that catches your eye.and then move on to your next stop for action. One of them is having a BDay party next Friday, so they are promising good food.

Yeah, they have a gas or propane stove. Some old retired GI was telling me they werent serving anymore. I guess he was worried about the fan not being able to operate for the exhaust ! Ajima was in back cooking by flashlight ! Its too bad there is no play... there is a hottie that I had met last summer that was working at Evergreen before thats at Sabai now. She'd get it but shes all about the money. I do have her number though...hmmm maybe I should try it one night. Anyway next blackout see you there!

That bar above CS runs hot and cold. Some nights empty and occasionally packed. Live bands typically on Friday night. Haven't tried the food yet but smells good. Was tough to figure out on the first few visits. Bought one girl a beer and it cost me $3. This other girls shows up so I think I'm buying her friend a drink, but, this one cost me $20. Figured out the thing. About 4 maybe sometimes up to 6 girls are working there (you'll get no play and the drinks will cost the standard $20). On a busy night, it's basically a local kind of nightclub that happens to be Thai with a S. E. Asian crowd. On a slow night, saw a wasted guy get really ripped by 5 girls. No play and they kept on him for rounds. He was running a tab feeling good. Bet he had a major headache the next morning especially after seeing his credit card receipt (which I saw).
Moral of the story KBG's, VBG's TBG's are all pretty much the same.

The quality there was always pretty low, but there used to be a waitress there named Sam (I think?!?) that was really attractive and very nice. I don't remember Jan but hell I don't remember many of the girls from back then. I visited Sala Thai Bar on Nuuanu recently. I actually know some the people there. They used to hang out at the old Club Bangkok on Kapiolani.

So stop at Sabai and was pack. Yea had free food but was waiting for my friend. The bartender with her ref outfit and big tittys gave me a hug. Second time there and a good welcome. Saw Nok, the girl gave me her picture last time I was there. Had a young hot looking one wearing a leopard dress. My friend call me and told me he was at the Nuuanu Thai bar so left Sabai and headed to Nuuanu. Went to the wrong Thai bar Same Same. Never got served for 7 min. But friend call and he was by Sala Thai. That place was pack. Had a pool table in there too. Nice place and some hot Thai lady's too. I like some of the pictures hanging on the wall, some of the picture had cute thai girl's. Fucking hot cutie Thai like the Papya Salad and Pad Thai. My first time trying Thai food and was good too. There was a cute 29 years old girl that live on the Westside.

I don't believe there is any play at Thai bars. They just have fun and have food and drinks. Only chance is if they want to hook up with you outside of work, otherwise no.
Nam is probably working back at Kathy's Place on Dillingham. I think she always has a LVB. Last one a small local Japanese one.

I was chastised by PB for complaining there is nothing to do in AC during the daytime. I have been to Santos Road, and the 24-hour bars on Fields; however, what do you do in the day time? I've been to SM Mall; but do to jet lad get up at 0700 and wander around Pacific Breeze. Kinda boring and I'm not a pool kinda guy. Stopped by Thai Angel last night. The place has a lot of Thai girls in there, as suggested by the name. Looks clean and they were serving food, but I don't know if the kitchen was open or if they just had stuff in the back since I didn't order anything. The girls seemed to be having fun with the customers and they were singing Thai karaoke, which is just as awful as I remember it being. I didn't stay after my drink since I found the karaoke unpleasant. Doesn't seem like a bad place if you like Thai girls, but I don't think I will go back.

It's the bar formerly known as Diamond on Makaloa Street next to saigons. Got some talent in there, and BTW Mariko works here now. Looks exactly how it was when I was last here and it was still diamond. Need more girls though, close to being a sausage fest in there tonight.

You can order food from next door, but unfortunately it isn't Thai food. I heard the old Sabai Thai place on Queen Street is under new management and they have pretty good Thai food.
Last night was "Flight Attendant" night. Lots of little cuties prancing about in mini skirts wearing a little flight attendant cap.

Yup yup the bar is named after1 of her daughters. She's from the mainland somewhere in NC or something 1 of those south eastern south side states. However 1 of her grand daughters is sexy I can't recall her name but she's a hula dancer, she has a hawaiian name and she's rail thin. Bubble butt w / A's. She used to come in with her friend who was also cute.
Now days all the micros hang out over there and get all rowdy and stupid. There was a hot bartender about 2 years ago maybe more and the occasional ones that stopped by. I think mama let her daughter or grand daughter take over (Kathy who mama named the place after). I remember going there and playing cards with the girls and other customers and I always seemed to be the one losing. Mama is a awesome cook but she never like me and let me see how she cook, I guess I not special. Haha.
SS right there are a bunch of girls that come there that are not "workers" but customers buy them drinks. Had a few that I played around with but never in the bar, it was always a 'date' experience (dinner or movies). They do have a private room, but I think that's just where all the girls put their personal stuff and use it more like a locker room. Mixed crowd here. Hope this helps.

Checked this place out the other day and it was pretty cool. Seems to be more of a restaurant with a bar. Lot of people dining and coming in for take out orders. Food has won awards evidently. Very friendly Thai women that provide good service. A handful of cute Thai women working there. Didn't observe any drink hustle like other places. Looks like a cool place to eat, drink and sing is all. No play areas but never know. Will try the food next time and hang out some more. Beer was 3 bucks like most town bars. Another place to chill out and watch the eye candy.
Report on Thai Angel. I have know Amanda and Lydia since Sabai. Went out with Jenny for her birthday to Honolulu KTV. Had a private room and bunch of our friends there. Went to Ginza Nightclub for after party with the owner of Honolulu KTV who is a friend of mine. One thing about these Thai girls, they like to go out more than the Korean bar girls. I have hooked up with Jessica and few others from Sabai. So after we party there is fun to be had.
Stopped by Thai Angel. Tuesdays are hit and miss. There was a new Thai girl working. Her name is Plai. Very pro bar girl feel to her, even though I do not recall seeing her anywhere else. CS.I can help here. LOL. The main reason bartenders push for tabs is that customers are not aware of how much they spend when you run a tab. Also tabs tend to generate a larger tip for the bartender. Most guys do not tip when buying ladies drinks. Someone buying 10 ladies drinks and 5 beers on a tab will generally tip 15 to 20%. The guy buying the same amount that is paying cash will likely only top for 5 beers. That's a difference of about $40. That's why servers and bartenders are trained to try and open tabs. There is no "house fees" and I definitely recommend that you check your tab. In the past, some shady bar owners will add extra ladies drinks to your tab, especially if you are drunk. That's why experienced bar mongers deal in cash.

So how many of you were regulars at Thai Angel? The best girls that worked there looks wise to me were Jenny and her friend Annie (they both work at Charm 3 in Downtown now, Jenny being one of the owners). My friend liked bar owner Amanda, Leslie, and a few others (names I can't remember atm). Not sure if there was any play that happened inside / outside with any of the girls there but there was one girl that stories leaked out that she gave extra to some customers outside of the bar. Not sure how there new place is though or how many of the regular workers returned.

The "coconut wireless" reported that the new Thai Angel on Kona Street (old Cache Location) is also open. They have a small kitchen and have a limited menu of Thai Food. Also heard they did a nice job of remodeling the place with large flat screen televisions and a modern, cozy feel.

Went here this weekend. Temperature check and info taken at the door. Only the 2 mamas and the kitchen mama present. Their Banh Mi tasted better than Secrets kitchen. Staff wore cleavage showing outfits which is nice. Police squad cars passing by frequently kinda made me feel safe to return and spend more money when the girls comeback.
