Anyone have any good hostess club reviews?
I apologize for my ignorance, but what exactly is a Hostess Club?
I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but a Hostess (mmmm hostess) club is sort of a dance club with girls waiting to dance typically hispanic. You pay a small price to dance with them or sit with them, they are very friendly, but not allowed to do anything in the club, you get their number, you meet them outside the club, boff-boff.
I apologize for my ignorance, but what exactly is a Hostess Club?Hostess clubs are basically places where you can sit and talk to "beautiful" (that word differs from person to person) women, and/or dance with them for a per minute or hourly fee to the house. unlike a stripclub, the women usually dont get naked or anything.
It depends. If its a japanese hostess club, you pay alot of money for booze and the company of a lady :P from what I hear you can pay alot later for some mileage afterwards, but thats just an imagination on mine.
If its in downtown LA, then its mostly latinas. You buy some time to spend with a lady, and you can sit and talk, dance, etc etc. its like 30$ an hour to just basically have a chat. What happens? I don't know as I never went to one.
I hear your mileage may vary from a grope to a feel to, but nothing ever possibly more. I may be wrong.

The only Hostess Clubs I am familiar with are the Japanese, Korean or other Asian Clubs in Dowtown L.A. I have been to these kinds of 'clubs' for over 15 years in the LA, NY and East Asian countries scene. I have even patroned some Russian & European hostess clubs in Japan. They all pretty much operate the same concept, the difference is the girls.
Generally, it is an (expensive) place where sit, drink and talk to a pretty asian girl....on a business account. Although my reasons for going is to bring clients there, ultimately, I am looking for pussy...but it take time, nuturing and money. Keep in mind that most of the asian hostesses are actually (foreign) students looking for extra spending money, there are not really professionals. But, this adds to adventure of it all. If you take care them; take them to dinner, take them out for drinks after hours, a day trip to the beach, etc., you should be able to get them into bed.
I would love to try out some Latino clubs if someone could PM me with some recommendations.

Any idea how asian and Latina hostess clubs treat outsiders?
Are they open to pretty much anybody or do you have to speak their langauge?
My friends and I don't know a lick of spanish or korean.
Most everyone i know in service industries makes a concerted effort to communicate in whatever language is bringing in money. I can't imagine a hostess doesnt speak english unless its an underground club. Good luck getting inside one of those.
It's also my experience that anglos get better treatment then others. Asians and latinos from latin america tend to be more macho then north americans, and North americans are better tippers. Its just part of the culture. I was raised here so im not that macho, but i've seen my border brothers just talk crazy to ladies, makes me embarassed, but some women expect that and think you weak if you don't behave that way.

Wow, not a lot of information here, although El Mono's two experiences are pretty typical and illustrative.
There are maybe half a dozen clubs left in the downtown area. There were several others a few years ago, but they are gradually disappearing.
The three main ones left are Club Fantasy, address below, Club Grand, and Tropical Club (1721 S. Flower). These are the mixed-culture clubs; The other clubs are more latino in atmosphere.
Like El Mono says, YMMV in all clubs and at all times. That's why it's tough to make recommendations. Club Fantasy is probably the most popular, though. One Wing Low finds the women ugly. That could be either his timing or his tastes -- either one is legitimate.
Basic setup is, you go in, pay a cover (except at Tropical, no cover). Then you have a chance to wait for a while and check out the women. If and when you fancy someone, just go ask her to dance. "Dancing" mostly consists of holding on to each other and turning in circles. At Fantasy they play fast music, too, and the floor generally empties out. At some point you both decide to take a seat on a couch, where you can talk, or grope, or whatever.
It is an experience unlike anything you will find anywhere else (that I know of). Welll worht a try. I astually kind of enjoy it, although it is really pretty pathetic.
Try it, you'll see what I mean.

Well, for those of you who never went to Club Fantasy here's the info. Basically, it is more of like hostess clubs where real hostess clubs sells alcoholic drinks and club fantasy dont. Instead of girls walking around in the hostess club, club fantasy girls sits in the middle of main floor and waits for the clients to choose them. First time I'm there I felt so lame and pathetic to be honest. Why? because most of the mens stand around the main floor and watch those girls sit. Staring back and forth each other. While some other mens have guts to ask few pretty ones to dance and retrived to secluded backstage seats but most mens just walk around or stand and watch. Pricing is based on time scale ( 20 minutes ) each session for certain amount of money (I think it was $15 or $20.) During those buy out time for girls, they can sit with you, dance with you, or some touching for you if you're the right guy. Usually, if you want a hand job it will costs you around $80 to $120 depends on the girls. Some girls are so arrogant that they will tell you even you pay them $200 they will not touch you (Whatever Girl !!!! )
My personal opinion, dont waste your money by going to club fantasy. If you want real good lay either go to TJ or visit local AMP or hoe houses. Have anyone sees what kind of cars these girls drive? Well, some I saw driving Land Rover 4.0 (new), new Lexus GS 300, BMW all models except (645I), and new MBs. Pretty lame for me who drives a $2000 beat up Acura Integra to visit Club Fantasy. But, if you haven't visit Club Fantasy yet, then do so. Once you visit there, you'll know how money wasting it is. That just my opinion. Other similar clubs have similar environments. All girls are based on minutes rate.
I wasn't endorsing anything with my earlier post. OWL's post implies that i was being misleading. I think my post was objective and not subjective that way OWL's other posts seem. The time to go to see the 10's would be probably 7-10 m-th when coroporate types are there. I can't imagine why a corporate person making at least 50g's a year would go to a club where girls are all butt ugly.
Any other time would be catering to the rest of working class downtown. Of the 3 times i've been there there were at least 1/2 latinas and 1/2 phillipinas, not just latinas unless one can't tell the difference.
Again im not endorsing this club, I'm just sharing experience.

It's been a few years, but I have hit many of the Korean hostess clubs in LA and Garden Grove. I was married to a Korean, and friends took me to the clubs.
Many of the girls do not speak english, so ask for one who does.
Basically as posted earlier, the girl sits with you, eats and drinks, perhaps dances (dependent on club).
I had some decent luck with getting the girls numbers and seeing them outside, but it usually died out. Most are looking for sugar daddies, or won't give you anything.
It was explained to me by one of the ladies early on that we can talk, play a little 'feelsie' but there is no guarantee of sex. Many of the girls will bed you if you are a regular customer, but be careful... the bill at these places can be huge!!

I agree with El Mono's post about Club Fantasy. I have been there about 10 times, and only had 'happy ending' twice. Both times with Mexican girls. The first one was pretty good, she actually took it out and hid it with my shirt tails. The second time (several visits later) was just through my pants and it took FOR-EV-ER. It's hard to find the right combination of pasable English (zero Spanish from me), good looks and nastiness. I probably could do better if I went for some of the uglier or fatter ones, I narrow the playing field too much by being picky.
In any event, happy ending or not, IMHO you will always have a better time with Mexican girls. English is pretty good compared to girls from other Latin American contries, and I found the one's I was with to be unpretentious. Forget about the American chicks, too much attitude and they don't bring anything to the table, not even a half-hearted grind on the dance floor. One time I got fooled by a Mexican looking hottie. Turns out she was raised in the States. Total waste of time. Oh well.
Can someone please share locations for the Korean, Japanese or Thai Hostess places if you have them? I would like to try to waste more money!

Korean hostess bars, or "rompongs (sp)" are generally a huge waste of money and time. I used to frequent these places with my korean friends, and my current girlfriend still works at one.
Basically you and your buddies pay a room fee that will vary depending on the type of alcohol you choose, figure at least a grand that you will need to split. In addition to this, each girl will be expecting a tip of at least 100 for doing absolutely nothing other than pouring your drink, and the mamasan/waiter group will also be expecting 100. Unless your favorite girl really likes you/is really drunk, you will need to go back at least 1-2 more times and repeat this process. Do not be fooled by the fact you got her number, everybody does and the really hot ones screen their calls/have another number for personal use.
Now let's say you would like to shorten this process and have some fun sooner rather than later. Due to rich korean businessmen, this can be extremely expensive. 300 is considered by most girls a lowball offer, I've heard 500 to nearly 1k as typical. Obviously your mileage will vary, but just know what you are up against.
If I haven't yet discouraged you from trying, here are some locations:
-Garam, I believe it's on the corner of Clinton/Vermont (big red sign with korean characters, fence covered with plants surrounding the parking lot).
-Abba, Normandie/Beverly in a strip mall
-Red, around Western/Oakwood, next to a laundromat
-Vegas and Bacchus I forget exactly where they are at, but they have big signs so if you see them, you can try there as well

I've been to Club Fantasy a few times on nights when I was so bored and tired that it was the only thing I could think of to pass the time!
I think that the draw of this place is the sheer number of women to choose from. You never know what gem you will discover. Right? Usually, like any kind of prospecting or gambling, the odds are against you, but you go anyway in hope of striking it rich!
Most of the girls are "cold fish". They are not interested in much of anything and resist any effort to chat them up. They want to collect their money for the time sitting there or dancing and not much more.
However, in my own experience, I did find one Mexican girl about 20, with a kid to support, who gave me her number and returned my phone call wanting to hook up for dinero. She seemed kind of desperate to tell the truth, or maybe she was just giving me the "sales pitch" about being all alone with so much to pay for, etc. etc. For me, at the time it was hard to tell which it was. Neither very attractive to say the least!
Never saw her.
So, finally, these places are rather "limp" when it comes to any action or entertainment. Still, we go. Whatever.

It was a hostess club that allowed a lot of ass grabbing and fondling. The women there were treated like meat and the guys held all the cards. It was great. I took home 4 of the dancers from there. 3 pretty ones and 1 fatty just cuz I was desparate that night. I miss that club. It kept getting shut down and opend back up. The hostess clubs in downtown LA are wonderful. But they do require some time for you to learn the rhythm of the places. Most white guys go to Club Fantasy as I suppose that is their comfort level, and the girls there are more "Americanized". As previously stated, the vast majority of the girls in what we will term the "open" clubs (as opposed to the Asian clubs which often require you know someone) are latinas. Many are in the age range of 18-22, most with children. I will not try to give you a scale based upon looks because that is subjective and what I like you might not and vice-versa, but suffice it to say that there is at least one or two girls at each club to appeal to every man. If you like to girl-walking-down-the-street look you will like even more.
I would say that the heyday of the hostess club has come and gone, the pinicle being the clubs that were located in the city of industry. There was VIP, Minato, Sugar Honey but the main one was and will always be The Boss Club. This place was more a low rent bordello than a hostess club where a room full of sexy and sexually agressive latinas and asians took care of your every need for $ or less. It is doubtful that you will ever see this type of hostess club again. All are now closed, not due to the activity inside, but because they were operating without a license. So the LA clubs are pretty much all that are left.
Other than Fantasy, LA Grand and Tropical, there is Club 907, Las Palmas, Club Galaxy and El Gaucho(a real shithole) that are strictly latin and require at least some spanish speaking for success. There is also Club Starlight, which is more in line with the Asian clubs in that you must tip everyone and it will cost you a couple of hundred to somewhat enjoy this place. But the girls are said to be really pretty and many are white. Not really my thing so I have never been there.
There is so much to say about hostess clubs but no one can really teach you how to work them. When you go, you either pick it up or you dont. But once you do, its like having your own harem and be warned, it does become and addiction and you will find yourself going there night after night after night.

I've heard there's action to be had at this member's only hostess club, anyone have any 411 on Tee Up in downtown LA?
I have been to Tee Up a few times, but not in the past 12 - 18 months. I would not recomend this place for mongering. It is a very posh (expensive) Japanese hostess bar. My expereience is that it is traditional in the sense that the service is excellent. But don't expect any mileage at the bar (or in the booths). Perhaps if the girl likes you, you might be able to make a mutually beneficial arrangement outside the bar. I have not tried this however, as I was doing business the few times I was there. Also, it is not necessary, but helpful if you speak Japanese or are with a Japanese speaker. Of course, if you are entertaining Japanese businessmen, then Tee Up is an excellent spot.

All 3 of those are watch and jerk places that cost way too much. Granted, you may hear otherwise, and I am sure YMMV (your mileage may vary) depending on girl, you, and cash on hand.

I never considered myself as a lonely guy before. But then you may know something I don't.
Anyway, I go to Fantasy once in a while. Why I go there? 1. There is no risk of bust whatsoever unlike at AMP's where cops can come in anytime and harass you or worse. 2. I get to choose. 3. From my experiences at (Downtown LA) HC's, you won't find FS on the menu (in the club) but there's always the possibility of exchanging #'s and meeting outside the club.
There seem to be 3 main categories of HC customers:
-Those who go for a quick feel and a hj
-Those who want to hook-up on the outside &
-Those who are willing to throw cash at a girl for simply sitting and chatting
This is one of two recent reports I have posted elsewhere. Some of it won't make sense because it is part of a thread, but the gist is clear:
I was at Club Tropican last night. I've been there before when I was charged in advance. Didn't bother me. I've been there before when they searched me and wanted to take the condom I had in my pocket. :? I walked out.

get thorougly searched, expect it. If you get overcharged, expect it. If you are
unwilling to put up with any of that, don't go, or leave. It's all cool. As for

backroom experience at any other club as I can have at Trop. (Boss doesn't

I waited around for half an hour, or so, hoping for someone, anyone,
worth while to emerge from the back. No one did, so I moved on.
Next stop was LA Grand. Moderately busy this night. Maybe 15 girls
on the couches. Similar number of men. I chose according to my
standard rules: best looking girl who is smiling, and who is showing
some skin.
Spent a while dancing, a while sitting. In my experience, at LAG the
dancing is better than the sitting. Pretty good grindage, pretty

Last stop Club Fantasy. Of the three clubs, they have always had the
better lookers, in my humble opinion. Broad variety of looks,
ethnicities, shapes, etc. Chose one to dance with, and was off to
the races. At CF, my experience is that the couching is better than
the dancing. Spent a good time here, too. Good grindage on the
floor, much better gropage on the couch. This was the first time
I've ever been invited to meet with the girl outside the club. Not
my style, though.
There's no more Club Boss, but there are still good times to be had.

Interesting discussion about the differences between HC and AMP. You should also add strip clubs and streetwalkers to that list. They're all related. Fact is, many of the same guys use more than one of the services. It's not nearly so simple as to say lonely guys go to HCs, etc. They're each a very different experience for various reasons. I go there to find someone I can hook up with outside. As I mentioned in my previous report, I'm sort of paranoid about any legal trouble.
When I pick up a girl at HC and hook up outside I feel much safer. Not to mention I get to choose and if I don't like anyone all I lose is $6 entrance fee. I'm not much interested in quick feel and HJ in public place.
From my experiences at (Downtown LA) HC's, you won't find FS on the menu (in the club) but there's always the possibility of exchanging #'s and meeting outside the club.
There seem to be 3 main categories of HC customers:
-Those who go for a quick feel and a hj
-Those who want to hook-up on the outside &
-Those who are willing to throw cash at a girl for simply sitting and chatting

First of all, THANKS to all who have posted here. This will be my first post and I hope I can give something back to the forum. I don’t get much chance to monger but I do my homework here and when I get out of sex prison I make the most of it.
I spent April 30-May 4 in Los Angeles, staying downtown for a business seminar. I was like a kid in a candy store; I saw more beautiful women than I thought ever existed and I got very close to a few.
The Hostess Club is a novelty to me; I never knew they even existed until I found the USA sex guide forum. Sunday night after some high mileage with an exotic dancer in City of Industry (waaaaaay tooooo expensive but the little head kicked in and I had no control) I went to Club Fantasy in downtown LA about 8 PM. It was very slow and I can see why some would think it pathetic. There were about 8 girls, 3’s through 7’s and 4 men there staring at them. I watched for a while and then approached a Latina from Mexico. We danced and chatted and I spent about a half hour with her but she was very cold and would hardly let me put my arm around her.
I let her go and found another Latina, a gal from Costa Rica. She was fun! We danced close and when we sat down she draped her leg over me and rubbed me a lot. She smiled a lot and we chatted in Spanish. It seemed all right with her wherever I put my hands. And if I didn’t, she put them there for me. I spent about an hour with her and she gave me her number for later. However, I never did get to hook up with her; she was busy doing this or that and I didn’t get a chance to spend any quality time with her. After 3 calls I finally gave up and found other things to do. No need to be stupid when there is so much going on and so much opportunity!
Later that same night about 10 more women came in and about that many men. There was one blond European looking woman, about a 9 that came in and she was scooped up. I don’t know if she was American or eastern European but she was very pretty and dressed sexily.
Tuesday night I went to the Galaxy Club after a trip to an AAMP in City of Industry. I arrived about 8:30 PM and it was packed. I was the only gringo in the club and there must have been 75 men and about that many women. The music was loud and there were girls sitting along one wall. It was unlike Club Fantasy in that the women wandered around and didn’t just sit along one wall. I struck up a conversation with another guy and he told me how things work.
Basically you just ask a girl to spend time with you the same as in Club Fantasy. Then you can go with her back to the “Couples Only” room and dance or sit on the couches. I watched for about an hour and was stunned by the variety of women that walked by. There were some real beautiful Latinas dressed to kill. There were also some real Buffarillos and some VERY young girls there. My friend told me that some of them are as young as 12 years old; I would be very careful here. He said there are about 4 sisters and 5 of their cousins that work there and the youngest is 13. Evidently the old guys come here to fondle some very young chicas.
Eventually I chose a gal to go to the back room. She told me she was 27 and from El Salvador. We laughed and danced and had a very good time. She was more circumspect about where she put my hands and I didn’t push it. We enjoyed chatting and laughing and watching the other dancers. There were some HOT dancers, men and women dancing cumbias, merengues, slow romantic ballads and salsas. Marta and I danced some very close slow dances. I enjoyed myself immensely but I didn’t like her two long trips to the bathroom. I was also a little pissed off when I left at 1 AM and they (the club management) wouldn’t call me a cab. Marta had ensured me earlier that they would or I wouldn’t have stayed nearly so long. I had to walk through downtown LA to my hotel and I am sure I was in danger. There were some pretty scary types out and some very pathetic beggars just outside the door of the club.
The music at the Galaxy was much louder than at Club Fantasy. Overall I enjoyed the Galaxy much more but with my poor hearing and using Spanish it was difficult to know what was going on sometimes in the Galaxy. There was also an older gentleman that wandered around and would take Polaroid pictures of you and your girl for $6.00 if you wanted. Both clubs sold snacks, sodas and juice at very high prices. I think Club Fantasy required that you buy one drink an hour ($2.75 for a Styrofoam coffee cup of soda or juice). The cover charge was $6.00 at CF and $5.00 at the Galaxy. I think the hourly rate to spend time with the girls was almost the same. It was $27.50 at CF and comparable at the Galaxy. Marta told me she gets half at the Galaxy. Most of the girls I talked to do this as their only job (unless they turn a few tricks outside of the club).
My friend I talked to earlier comes up from Orange County once or twice a month and knows a lot of the girls there. He told me about 907 Club (907 S. Hill St.), which is just through the block from the Galaxy Club (902 S. Olive) and very similar. He mentioned the Tropical Club and his opinion was that it was a lousy place to go. He seemed pretty savvy but remember it is just his opinion. I didn’t get a chance to check out any more on my own. He mentioned the Starlight (or Satellite, I don’t remember) and said it was VERY expensive. He also told me that he wouldn’t even go in El Gaucho (425 W. 8th St.). He told me that El Gaucho, the Galaxy Club and 907 Club are all owned by the same people or person.
Well, the comments made previously stated that you had to be very lonely or desperate and need to speak Spanish to go into the HC’s. Probably so, but coming from a very conservative northern state to Los Angeles I had a BALL! I didn’t get any action from the HC’s but I didn’t try very hard since I visited other establishments earlier each evening and got that taken care of prior to going to the HC’s.
Summary: Like my friend in the Galaxy said, you get back what you put into the Hostess Clubs. If you come in and act like God’s gift to women, they will act that way back to you. If you come in for some fun and just take it as it comes, it is a blast! At least it was for me, the kid from the north that just fell off the Tater Truck!

I just thought I'd post a recent experience of mine since I've got some free time on my hands.
Anyways, it's been a while but I was near downtown last week shortly before 5:00 so I figured I'd stop in for a visit. After parking, I made a quick run to the Grand Central Market for a huge plate of Hawaiian ribs and rice for 3 bucks. (I couldn't even finish it)
I make it in to the club by around 5:35 and it looked awfully bleak. (some old/tired faces along with some girls that should be hitting up the gym and eating salads) After checking my voicemails and sitting on my ass for about 20 minutes, I decided to head out for happy hour or something when out-of-nowhere, this young sexy looking Latina came out of the dressing room. She had a great compact body w/a nice mini-skirt and a face that was at once innocent and nasty. The kind of girl that looks sexy when she's bored or pissed. There were around 16 other guys in the club and no one was going for her even though she was clearly the youngest, sexiest girl in the club. That was sort of a red flag but I took my chances and rolled the dice.
She seemed pleased to be clocked-in (it was the first time I saw her smile) so I figured I was off to the races. On the dance floor, she didn't pull away as far as grindage was concerned but she would vehemently turn her head away whenever my head got anywhere near hers. She also kept making this really loud sighing noise if my face ever got too close to hers. It was like she was trying to tell me in her own snotty way that she was repulsed by me. I was beginning to understand why the regulars ignored her earlier.
Call me weak or whatever but instead of clocking her out at that point, I decided to test the couch waters. I almost knew it was going to be a mistake but she was so sexy looking, I had to try. So we order our drinks and chat for a bit when I realize that she's doing her best to sit as far away from me as possible. If I put my arm around her she wouldn't push me away but she was clearly trying to sit at the other end of the couch. I also notice that she's constantly checking her cell phone for text messages from her friends-to the point where I was pretty much being ignored. She goes on to give me some total b.s. about her customers usually tipping her that much and then follows it with a sob story about having trouble with bills or something. This girl will try to play if off like she's kind of innocent or whatever but she's a total scammer and a total waste of time. She told me her name was Vanessa and her clock number is 80. The words spoiled brat come to mind. I think she usually works M, W, and F on the early shift.
I don't remember the name of the second girl I clocked but I think she was #122 or #121. This girl (another Latina) was the complete opposite of the above mentioned hostess. She was sincere, kind and never spoke of money. She was quite accomodating and I wouldn't hessitate to clock her in again in the future. She said she might start working weekends this summer. Needless to say, she was very appreciative of my gratuity.

My experiences with extras inside the club have only been twice, both times money was not discussed before hand, and I felt obliged to tip more for the favor. One time money was discussed before hand, but this chick just managed to hold me over until an hour was up, and then tried to upsell me, so be careful of any girl who tries to talk about money before showing any action.
I have never been propositioned for a date in the club, but one girl gave me her business card for the beauty parlor she worked at and told me to come in for a haircut sometime. Not sure what that really meant.

I usually pay the equal amount as tip also although I was ripped off by the first girl I sat with. She told me to double the amount for her. She gave me her number and told me to call her. I talked to her couple times over the phone but she lived too far from me.
There is definitely action there depending on what you are looking for. Some girls will do HJ in the club and some will give their number to you for hook-ups outside. All the girls that gave me numbers asked for 2 to 3 bills. They didn't mention any time limit. And the one that I met outside spend more than 2 hours with me, and it could've been longer if I wanted to.
To me it's better deal than to call someone from websites or AMP where you get rushed in a small room. It's just that you need to spend a little bit of time and plan ahead. Although I haven't been back there for 3 months I plan to go back and see who I can find.

Went to the Galaxy Club on Thursday night. It was my first time there. The neighborhood was a little iffy, but not dangerous. The place has a very interesting atmosphere, pool tables when you come in, pretty much a 100% hispanic crowd. $5 to get in. They frisk you at the door, but given it's downtown LA, well, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I may have been the only white guy in the club, but that doesn't bother me. I went and picked the cutest youngest girl from the lineup. Very beautiful and petite and took her to the back. I found out she spoke no English at all. I speak almost no Spanish at all. I was not into the dancing, so I chose to sit with her in the dark. I sat with my arm around her and really could not converse with her at all because of the language barrier. I gave her $20 to see if I could get her to loosen up. I spent $4 on a coke. She would not kiss, or even look at me. I kissed her on the head a couple of times. She would not let me touch her leg. I looked around the club, there were about 30 guys with 30 girls. There was no action at all. Just guys dancing with girls, no making out, nothing. I got up and left and paid the $6. 75 for the girl and got out of there. I'm in agreement with the previous posters. If you are lonely and speak Spanish and want to talk to a pretty girl. This might be for you. If you are looking for some physical contact, you can pretty much forget it. You'd be better off getting a nasty lapdance at a club. It's cheaper, more fun, and more effective.

Dressed all in white and smiling, Yuka and Manato stand side-by-side before a pyramid of champagne glasses, framed in an arch of white, pink and red balloons.
"I really love Manato," says Yuka, while a score of black-suited young men kneel before them, chanting loudly.
"I'll never forget this day," he replies.
The scene in the dark, smoky night club seems modeled on a wedding, but no nuptials are under way.
Instead, Yuka is paying around 1 million yen ($8,700) for the champagne the pair pour into the tower of glasses to mark Manato's 25th birthday at Club Raphael, a "host club" where women are pampered by the men of their dreams -- for a price.
Around 150 such host clubs dot the streets of Tokyo's Kabukicho entertainment district, ranging from small ones like Club Raphael to the famed Ladies' Club Ai a few blocks away, where more than 170 gigolos are employed to ply their trade in a glitzy night spot complete with dance floor and band.
"Hosts say things that ordinary guys are too embarrassed to say. They are sweet-talk professionals," says Yuka, 27, fingering the beads adorning her dyed-brown hair.
"This place isn't real," she added. "It's like Neverland."
Host clubs have been around for decades, but in recent years have become the focus of a media blitz that has made them seem more mainstream, if not necessarily respectable.
The TV drama "Yaoh," King of the Night, based on a popular manga comic, was a big hit with viewers before its tale of a host dedicated to "making every woman happy" ended in March.
Top-ranking hosts have turned TV celebrities, and Internet sites and magazines devoted to the topic provide a plethora of information for would-be hosts and nervous novice clients.
"It used to be that women were afraid of getting caught going to a host club, so they went in the back way. Not anymore," Takashi Aida, 66, who founded Club Ai in 1971 and now owns five night clubs in Kabukicho, told Reuters in an interview.
"Now everyone comes in the front," says Aida, flashing four diamond rings, a diamond-studded watch and a diamond tie clip.
FOR LOVE OF MONEY
For hosts like Manato, who worked a string of low-paid jobs before turning gigolo, the attraction of the job is clear.
"I'm not very bright, so this is the only way I can make a lot of money," says Manato, his dyed-brown hair pulled up in a partial top-knot and wearing a subtle smidgen of lipstick.
Popular hosts at Club Raphael can average around $25,000 a month, while stars at Club Ai rake in as much as $45,000 -- almost entirely from commissions on the liquor they persuade their female customers to buy, managers at the clubs said.
"I made as much last month as in three years at my old job" says 25-year-old Kiyomaru, a slender high school dropout who attained No.1 status at Club Ai after 10 months as a host.
Whether hosts provide after-hours services is up to them.
"If customers have money, they can do what they want with the host -- go on dates, go out to dinner, have a physical relationship," Kiyomaru says.
Many hosts drift into the job. Others are looking for a quick fix of funds to start their own business. Some say they enjoy the attention they get, but still don't plan to hang around long.
"I've been on TV. I've been in magazines. People I don't know, know me. I can do what I like. I can be famous," said Kiyomaru. "Now I've reached the top, I need to find a new goal."
Competition is intense to become a top-ranking host like Kiyomaru -- the designated darling of customers willing to shell out wads of cash for a stream of liquor and romantic patter.
LONELY WOMEN
Many hosts, though, drop out after the merest taste of a tough apprenticeship that begins with scrubbing toilets and can include trolling the streets to solicit or "catch" customers.
Even successful hosts tend to quit the business after a couple of years, worn out by the heavy drinking and late hours.
The appeal for female customers is more of a mystery, for all the hosts' talk of making the women feel like princesses.
Night club hostesses and sex industry workers looking to turn the tables after an evening of catering to men account for a large percentage of the clientele, those in the business say.
"I come for a change of pace. Maybe there are people here who want to deceive me, but as long as I know what I'm doing I can enjoy myself," said Reika, 56, a long-time Club Ai customer who runs her own night club nearby.
Students and office workers looking for a thrill and middle-aged housewives and businesswomen with money to spend can also be found smoking and drinking with a bevy of hosts.
"It's the mirror image of hostess clubs," said John Clammer, a sociology professor at Tokyo's Sophia University. "You've got a lot of working women, single, getting a bit older and probably not going to get married, and they can afford it."
Beneath the glitter and ersatz romance, though, lurks a melancholy strain. As Club Ai PR adviser Mitsue Nakumura put it:
"They have money and they have free time, but I think they are lonely women."

I even clocked-in some of my old stand-bys and to my surprise, they treated me as if I was a brand new customer with little-no HC experience. The mileage is still there but they want so much $ now. I'm talking about the chicks that used give me great service and never complain about the tip as long as it was around $40-$60; now they get all hissy if you try to tip them that amount. The 2 girls that I had loyally clocked-in for years are damaged goods at this point. And from my observations, it seems like this club is sliding FAST because there is no way it will sustain if the girls continue to behave in this fashion.
I also saw the infamous #80 she smiled at me, I smiled back but didn't clocke her in for obvious reasons.

Somebody please put that place out of its misery.
I just stopped by the place again out of curiosity to test if the last few visits were flukes and alas, the glory days are officially over. I'm deeply saddened.
You can still get hj's and such but I conservatively estimate that 88% of the girls are living in a total dreamworld, fueled by unrealistic greed. There are more financially desperate females in that place than there are on Skid Row.
I genuinely kind of feel sorry for them because they don't have any legitmate employable skills but not sorry enough to give them the insane amounts of cash that they think they're entitled to.
I think I'll stick to regular nightclubs/bars and strip clubs/mp's from now on.
It's quite sad to witness and confirm the passing of a HC that I was once very loyal to. It's too bad the management doesn't have enough balls to axe the current field of ultra-greedy twits. If they wanted to, they could get it back to the way it was but they simply choose not to.
A couple years ago you could spend an hour with a girl at Fantasy and have a really nice time for $40 tip. Last time I was there, they wanted $40 just to sit with me for 15 minutes and no fun.
I had fat ugly latinas soliciting me for $350 "dates". This place is such a rip off. It's amazing how quickly it has gone downhill.
I would not reccommend going there or to any of the other hostess clubs in downtown.
At LA Grand, a chick demanded $25 just to dance for 10 minutes.
Club Starlight has some lookers, but they overcharge you. You are paying about $150 for an hour to sit with a girl.
Las Palmas has really fugly women and no fun. Hostess Clubs in LA suck these days.

I don't get it.Me too. I think a bunch of strip club twits must have found out about the place and ruined it. I hate strip clubs, because I feel like an ATM machine. Paying money on a 2 minute per lap basis is IMO Robbery. These guys that claim they are getting satisfied during laps are IMO premature.
The great thing about the HCs (not that long ago) was that you could take your time, dance, grind, move onto the couchs and have a nice hour or so and leave satisfied for under $100 (included drinks, house fees, and tip). Nowadays, that will get you laughed at.

Having read your postings for the last several years, I would say that no, you will not find it a worthwhile investment. As for not being a dancer, that makes NO difference. This is not dancing, this is grinding on each other and turning in small circles, if that. As for the menu, YMMV is rule number one. It varies widely by guy, by girl, by club, and even by time you see the same girl.
It seems to me these clubs are more for guys looking for a GFE-type experience. Slow dancing leading to sitting on the couch with some groping, etc., sometimes leading to some handiwork. At one club, DFK is common. Nothing like the all-out sex you will get on the street or from CL.
That's my opinion, anyway. If you have an extra sixty to a hundred or so, check it out.

A lot of people sent me PM's asking for the name of the high mileage club. While I don't want to disclose the name of the place for obvious reasons discussed on this board many times before, I will provide you all a hint on how you can find all the information you need.
I'm not the first one to do this so don't come calling me names or start a flame war please. Besides part of the fun is in searching and discovering different places. Some people may find better action at different places than where I have been.
All you need to do is to go to a popular search engine and type in hostess clubs in los angeles. The site will pull up some review sites. Check them out. One site lists pretty much all the clubs with reviews. It even has posts by members.

This is a cross-post of a post to a yahoo group on the same subject. Thought you might be interested.
I don't get to get to the clubs much, rare when I can get away, so
when I do, I hit all three of the main clubs. This is my report of
tonight,s adventures.
First stop -- Club Tropical. I know, I know, many of you absolutely
HATE this place. That's okay, to each his own. I'm not going to defend
the place, or Fred, or anything else. I like the place. On Sunday
nights Fred is not there, so it is a lot more laid back than other
times. The girls are definitely not as good looking as Club Fantasy,
but without fail I have found them to be much, much more friendly.
However, on my first stop, none that I wanted to dance with.
As has been discussed at length, this place has a one-hour minimum.
That makes it all the more important to make the right choice when you
do. While the girls are sitting in the reception area (the name sounds
much fancier than it is), they look like they are miserable. Once they
start dancing, though, I have never found one who is unfriendly.
The other problem with the one-hour minimum is that the turnover is
very slow. If you've paid for a hour, you might as well use it up, so
if you are waiting to see who comes out, you have to be patient.
The good thing about this place is that there is no entrance fee, so
you can stop in, look around, leave and come back, if you want to.
As I said, nobody interested me, so next stop -- Club Fantasy. The
girls here may be better looking (not may be, they ARE better
looking), but when they are sitting in the waiting area, they look
just as disinterested and detached as at Trop. Worse yet, tonight
there were so few girls even there that most of the time there were
only three girls on the couches. One of the them was the Russian girl,
who's been at CF forever, seems like. I danced with her once, a long
time ago. Seems to me she was a sharkette before it was the norm at
this place. I'll pass, thanks.
With no girls at CF to choose from, on to Club Grand.

If you look closely at the pictures at the site, it says that the
northeast wall of the condo building abuts up against an "existing two
story building." That would appear to be Club Grand. The neighborhood
is coming up in the world. I can't see how Club Grand can survive.
But, I digress.
The girls at Grand are younger than at CF, and in my opinion, not as
good looking, but good looking enough. There were tons of guys and
dozens of girls. The girls also rotate in and out of the back fairly
quickly, so you can get a good look at the lineup.
There were some here that would have been worth a trip, but in my
experience, I don't have as much fun here as of Club Trop, so, off to
my last stop.
Back at Trop, one of the girls sitting now was also there on my first
stop. She was good looking enough, just not exactly what I look for. I
like them slender, with some shape up top. I'm also looking for the
right kind of clothes.
Anyway, even though she wasn't exactly what I was looking for, there
was one girl who came across as very friendly -- made eye contact,
smiled, etc., while most just stare ahead, so off to the dance floor
we go.
As you know, I was searched at the front door. You know, I think that
guy may enjoy that frisk just a little too much.
After asking the girl to dance, I had to pay a $60 deposit. I haven't
had to pay that the last several times I was there, but this time
there was a fat chick hanging around who seemed to be the ersatz-Fred
for the night, so they required the deposit. Whatever. It does put
them in the superior position if there is a dispute later on.
After paying the deposit, I was searched again to go into the dance
area. Again, a cursory search.
Danced for a while with a very friendly, quite attractive young women.
Then couched for a while -- very, very friendly. For context, I'm not
looking for FS, or even a BJ. I's just looking for a good old, hot,
makeout session. Like I say, to each his own, so flame away, if you must.
On the way out, got change back from my deposit, and was on my way.
Had a very good time, enjoyed it, will be back. I'd give more details,
but I do think that the management of these places read here. I've
noticed changes over the years that seem to be in response to things
said here. I could be wrong, but I'd rather not get anyone in trouble.
On a side note, I took Figueroa on the way back to the hotel. Only saw
three streetwalkers between the 10 and Imperial Highway. One was at
least 60 years old and at least 200 pounds. Had to burn my eyes out

of good taste :) The third appeared to be worth the stop, if that is
what you are looking for.

I initially posted this yesterday on another forum but I felt compelled to post it here also because there haven't been too many LA hostess club posts. Well, it's been quite a while but I had some business downtown the other day so I decided to pop my head into 2 of my former stomping grounds.
It's pretty much public knowledge that these clubs majorly suck compared to the "happy days" but I was in the vicinity and I was curious to check-out the current state of these clubs.
My first stop was LA Grand-I managed to find street parking but I had to deal with some seedy homeless dude mumbling something about watching my car if I helped him out. I was pleasant but at the same time, I managed to elude him and made it into the club. The place was pretty packed and I didn't see any chicks that caught my fancy so I killed some time by watching a baseball game that was on. As I was watching TV, I noticed a girl that got my attention. She was a petite Latina with a twist: she's a punk rock chick. This strikes a favorable chord with me because I was heavilly into punk for most of my youth. I wasn't able to get to her because she was being fu****d by some PL but she's the one I'll look for if I ever go back to Grand. This chick had a really good face but she was definitely punk with a dark burgundy bob cut, pierced cheek and a black bondage skirt with punk band logo patches sewn on. Does anyone know who she is? I'd love to relive my highschool skateboard/punk days with her.
My next stop was the Koreatown Collective. They are widely rumoured to stock the absolute highest quality cannabis medication in Southern California so I had to see what all the fuss was about. Also, I've probably been to CF over 200 times and have been "medicated" for 100% of those visits. Needless to say, I wanted to keep the streak intact. Once seated and settled, I immediately notice some very familiar faces but unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I realize that time has not been too kind to some former lookers. I'm not sure if it's because they just aged poorly or if the hostess life eventually just takes its toll-perhaps, it's a combination of both.
For example, #49 (one of my former favorites) looks like she's about forty (and that's being optimistic). And Russian Tanya just looked plain skanky and malnourished. There are some hot pretty girls there, not sure about stripper quality. But then judging from my visit to Spearmint Rhino last night, Starlight does have girls that can certainly do well at some strip bars.

They require more than just time. They require money, especially Starlight. I was there a year ago and they told me I had to fork out at least 100 before I could sit with a girl. I sat with her for an hour and she was hot, but they charged me another 35 afterwards and that was for no sex.
I checked out Fantasy again tonight to see if it had improved and it hasn't. I sat with one that was not willing to put out and she said she bought a $300K house from working there part time.

It's possible that you clocked in a girl that's a bit more "together" but those odds are slim to none [based on my experiences].

yeah it doesn't seem that long ago that the girl would let you fondler her titties, FIP , and she would stroke you off and security didn't give a rats ass. Give her a $40 tip when you leave and she's all smiles. I keep going back there like reality hasn't set in. I keep thinking, "it can't be that bad" and so I go back and am reminded that it is.

I went to CF last night. Sat with a 30+ Guatemalan. She was pretty nice. I've always like the Mayan descendent women. They usually are pretty laid back. She had a sexy smile and we talked. Anyway, I gave up on dancing pretty quick and thought we would give
the couch a try. No go. She insisted on sitting on the couch directly
next to the door to the dance room, 5 feet away from the security
guard. That was going nowhere, so I left. Fred wanted to know why, but
what a useless discussion that would be. What am I going to say?
This time was much better. As usual, it took me a while to select a
girl. I really don't know what it is I'm looking for, has to be a
looker, of course, but also just has some body language that says the
girl is going to be (or pretend to be) okay with being there. Anyway,
I finally selected Denise. Good choice.
We danced for a couple of minutes first. Her hands were roaming from
the very beginning. Sat after a few minutes, and she was very
friendly. Speaks great English, if you care about that, and very
personable, while also physically friendly.
Made it out of there with the bank account intact because I watch the
clock. Interesting, though, is that she was one of the only times in

Karina kept making eye contact and smiling, so off we went. She didn't
care to dance for long, but again, her hands were roaming before mine
even got a chance to. I like that in a girl!
We sat for a while, and again, she is a very friendly girl. I couldn't
stay long, but enjoyed the time I did have. She's definitely not shy.

I have to agree. It almost sounds like someone doing an advertisement for the club. This sort of thing was common a couple years ago, but now it's far less common. Though it may be different in the afternoon. I was there in the afternoon once, and it seemed that there was far less security presence. No sign of management or security, and the girls didn't even come around and serve drinks.

The stuff about her voice had me cracking up. And you're right on target with regard to her car payment. I think she volunteers that info for sympathy points or something; hoping it'll result in a larger tip.
Anyhow, I knew her fairly well, back in the day. She definitely went through a "holier than thou" phase but she has never treated me with the dismay that you apparently experienced.
She probably was having a crappy day but unless your hygeine is questionable, there's absolutely no excuse for the way that you were treated. I certainly would not have tipped her if she did that to me.
Also, I don't know how much HC experience you have but #80 has been known to take advantage of anyone who she perceives to be a rookie. Be careful: she sort of looks like the girl next door (if you live in Downey) but she'll rob you blind if she thinks she can. Evidently, the HC scene has molded her into the less than honest, moody person that she has become.
Believe it or not, about three years ago, Vanessa (#80) was cooler in every possible way. Go figure.

Over the past few weeks I have made a few visits to the 4 clubs below. Without going in great detail, these are my thoughts
1. Fantasy. ($7 to get in; no fee for in/out if you need to pop outside for a taco or beer; $30++ hourly fee). Good taco place next to the adjacent parking lot. There were about 25 girls there last Friday. Looks ranged from a few stunners to many more chubby types. A few Eastern Europeans, several Caucasians and Latinas, and a few Asians.
I have always felt that the place has an odd vibe. You stand there "a la a high school dance" and stare until you get tired of staring. The ladies on their red, peeling sofas make varying degrees of effort to make eye contact back. Very David Lynch Twin Peaks style.
The guards roam around like they are at Fulsom, and make it fairly hard for any raucous activity to take place. As for my last few visits, I had some very uneventful chats. One girl decided to tell me at length about how she likes large Brazilian men. ok....I am paying for this talk?
My buddy was more serious about his sofa girl and landed some digits last Friday. They have since gone out for beers. Not hard to land digits, really, if that is what you are after. But for a vibrant night out, what a waste of time and $$.
2. Starlite. The lineup was strong when I went last week. There were about 15 girls there, many in the 8 range and perhaps a few 9s (subjective, I know). The place was empty (no customers) for a Fri night at 10 pm we had the full line up do the walk for us in front of our booth. There was a nice mix of Asians, Caucasians, and Latinas.
So, we chose three, they sat down, and the waiter said that we needed to first provide an estimated upfront cash fee amounting to $35 per hour per girl, plus 2 drinks each, plus the waiter tip, plus a $35 "house fee" per girl? This is for the first hour; came to about $97 each.
What? You must be joking, I thought. Yes, and there was also an $8 (or 7?) entrance fee per person, so we are over $100 for an hour of meaningless talk?
After a heated discussion about what a scam this was, we stood the hell up and left. The girls may have been hot, but most were buried in their laptops and BBerries anyhow. Plenty of attitude. I will not be back.
3. Las Palmas and 907. IMHO, the Latin joints are the place to go if you can speak some Spanish and don't mind girls that are a bit bigger body wise. Last Friday, we were the only whites guys in there (this has been the case whenever I have been), but I have had no problems at all. The guards do not roam around heavily, the girls I have met have been friendly, and in the case of Palmas, it is a spacious club.
If you want white or Asian girls, these two places are not your spots. But for some good natured low key fun I have always had fun. 907 can get quite festive with Mexican dancing, which I think is kind of cool.

Grand Club is on Grand between Olympic and 11th, it is a little hidden but you can find it if you search! Enter on Olympic! their is usually a lone security guard in front and it is near to a REAL CLUB that will have alot of young people hanging outside! Happy Hunting!

The club is actually called LA Grand Club if you google it. It is at 1040 S. Grand Ave., L.A.
The entrance is in the middle of the block on Grand Ave. There used to be a back entrance off of the alley the runs from Olymic to 11th, but that is no longer open.

Yeah, unfortunately, Club Fantasy basically sucks ass these days. Every now and again, I'll find a chick that's into me and that's when a good time ensues [without any mention of money]. However, it's no different than going to a regular night club or any other social setting. I suppose my chances might be slightly better at a HC because they know they're gonna get paid but it's more or less the same.
It simply isn't the way it used to be. It used to be much, much more conducive to the customer. In the good old days, I'the walk in with about $75 [which covers admission, clock time, drinks and tip] and get treated like a king by some piping hot 19 year old latina. Due to many of the newbie/unreasonable HG's [from the past 5-6 years], CF has drastically changed for the worse.
Why can't management overhaul the current roster and get it back to the way it was? It's on them to take control of their club back for all their long time customers.
Lastly, I find it a little difficult to believe that some HG bought a new house considering the fact that many of the 7's-9's [the ultra high demand girls] that I've met at the club have had their cars repossesed. It's possible that you clocked in a girl that's a bit more "together" but those odds are slim to none [based on my experiences].

I'm heading back to town in a few weeks and wondering if there is a better alternative, and could use some opinions. I'm not a big latina fun, love the looks of the eastern Euro girls, but hate the atittude, so I swore them off a few years back.
Typically, I am after a laid back girl who will have fun on the couch with roaming hands and being playful. I'm not looking for take out, etc, just a good time for a few hours that I am there.

We are gonna go out there next Wednesday late night and check it out because despite what I told her I know about the place she's thinking about working there. I was wondering if I could get some of the bare bones sepcifics about this place. What's the cover? Is it like Cheetah's, do you pay for bikini dances or is it more like a regular club with a lot of hot chicks "hanging" out? And then who do you think would be the best to talk to out of the girls to get a feel for what the take out menu is? Six years ago these were the places to go to. I'ts not nearly as good as it used to be. Now you have about 30% of the girls that you use to have.
Most of the places i know about are in South L.A.. I'll just note a couple that are still somewaht busy. There's Chalino's on Broadway and Manchester 5's, further east on manchester getting into Huntington Park before (blueline) RailRoad tracks another one mostly 4's. Also in HP on Pacific ave south of Slauson (around 99c store) last time was there very busy a few 5-7's.
On Vermont south of Manchester a place I haven't been there in awhile but drove by there recently and there was a lot cars outside. Another couple of places on Manchester west of Vermont within a mile so on right hand side.

No, Not really.
While I have seen some Asian (apparently) high-rollers (customers) here. The place likes to consider itself, and it is for that matter, higher end than other Hostess Clubs.
The customers are generally better dressed with a more professional appearance than the other clubs I've been to in which the customers are more of a mix of the economic and ethnic spectrum. Most customers are small groups of 2-3 people that sit with an equivalent number of girls rather than single individuals (like myself).
Most of the ladies here speak English reasonably well, they are a mix of Asian, American/White, Russian, with some, but fewer, Latina and Black women. They tend to dress in nice cocktail dresses and evening gowns, a little less deliberately slutty than say CF or LA Grand, but still very sexy and attractive.
For costs, the dancers' time is a little more than the other clubs, however, this club expects much more tipping - ~$10/20 to your "mamasan", $10 for the waiter when he seats you and another $3-5 each time he brings you a drink. I've never gotten a dirty look for tipping the girl the clock.
This club seem to have much higher turn over than some of the other clubs, and when they leave here, I have not usually seen them show up in other clubs. The key to success here is a good relationship with a mamasan. Always try to use the same one, "be loyal" to her, call before coming over and She will work with you to direct you to girls that are what you are looking for/looking to do. While you can spend some time looking at the girls from the nearby booths, it is not the voyeur gallery that the other clubs have. If you are really undecided, you can be seated and they will parade the girls past your table to help you decide.
The Dance floor often has more real dancing, and is not the slow dance grope fest that some of the other clubs are. The booths are dark, well arranged, and offer some decent privacy, Security, if present, is much more subtitle. Most girls (at least the one's i've gotten) are much more interested in talking to you than cuddling and being groped. However, if you do get the right one, at the right time ... mileage aside (I've had more elsewhere), I've had my two favorite HC experiences here. It's pretty easy to get phone numbers from the girls, however, as I am not local to LA, I've not had a lot of success in being available for the proposed windows for an outside meting.
I've never bothered with the valet. The street just south of the club (11th?) usually has parking, and I've never had a problem in that area.

All the korean hostess bars serve alcohol, but if you are talking about the american hostess bars near downtown. On my knowledge, only "Starlite" serves the alcohol to their V.I.P.'s or you can take your own bottle in there!

Last time I was at tee up was about 4 or 5 years ago. At that time it was a members only traditional Japanese hostess club. Traditional in that it is primarily a place for business entertaining, not mongering. It's expensive and not high mileage, though YMMV.

Becareful though, most if not all those girls are there to take your money. Do not go in with the mindset that you will hook up with them. If anything, spend an hour or so and get familiar with the ones you like. Eventually, you might become friends and who knows where it'll go from there. Its not cheap either. When I went to Cindy's our total bill for three guys for a few hours only came out to less than two hundred. The same amount of time at starlight would easily have come out to double that. This is not including drinks, tips, etc. Just the time for each girl being checked out.

Good luckYou can bring your own booze at Starlight, disguised in a soda or a bag. You can get a hj if you're very lucky and know the girls, but you'll drop a shit load of dough to get there, or take one out.

I will say that most are from the former Eastern Block. If you are new, they will sense it and try to hustle you for as much $ as they can. Nothing wrong, they are in the business. They will tell you that they like you, that you are special etc and come probably come up with a lame excuse on why they neeed money (operation for mom back home, sick pet dog, etc. Mileage will vary depending on night and girl.
Immigration rights group says LAPD violated policy in vice raid on 'hostess club'

Los Angeles police are defending their handling of a raid at a downtown hostess club. An operation that resulted in dozens of arrests of illegal immigrant workers. After an advocacy group charged that the vice operation violated Special Order 40, a policy governing how officers interact with immigrants.
Advocates from the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles said the LAPD officers violated that policy in arresting 81 women and seven men Friday at the 907 Club on Hill Street. The advocacy group said most of those arrested were "honest, hard-working immigrants" who might themselves have been victims of abuse.
"The LAPD has acted rashly by arresting those it claims to protect and in the process endanger the delicate balance between local policing and immigration enforcement," CHIRLA director Angelica Salas said in a statement.
Special Order 40 prohibits LAPD officers from initiating contact with someone solely to determine whether they are in the country legally. But in a statement released Wednesday, the LAPD said the four-month probe was only related to alleged criminal conduct and was not an immigration investigation.
"It is strictly an investigation into labor code violations, human trafficking concerns, prostitution, possession of fraudulent California identification cards, gambling and violation of a conditional use permit," the department said.
Club 907, like similar "hostess club" establishments, is regulated by the Los Angeles Police Commission. Patrons pay women who work at the clubs for time and companionship that includes talking, buying non-alcoholic drinks or dancing. The club charges $30 per hour, with discounts on certain days of the week.
The Police Commission permit prohibits hostess clubs from serving alcohol and does not allow nudity or other adult entertainment. But the LAPD said that during a four-month investigation their officers witnessed or found evidence of prostitution, lewd conduct, gambling and the use of counterfeit identification.
Police said that on the day of the arrests, they found more than 400 people inside the 907 Club, which had a maximum capacity of 250 patrons.
Officers said they found dozens of female dancers employed by the club with false identification for purposes of employment and found evidence that most were engaging in prostitution. Some 88 people were arrested. 81 of them women. Only three were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit prostitution: a club manager, and two women who were brought in to dance in bikinis and were allowed to be groped by patrons, police said.
Of the others. 59 were arrested on suspicion of possession of fraudulent California identification. 18 for willfully obtaining personal information, four for gambling violations, two for misdemeanor warrants, one for interfering with police operations and one for violating the club's conditional use permits.
A 17-year-old girl who had been reported missing was found inside and was also arrested on suspicion of possessing false identification. Police also seized two bags of cocaine, over $100, 000 in cash, condoms, and liquor.
A 29-year-old club worker who was out on bail Wednesday after her arrest on suspicion of possessing fraudulent identification said that while the women were detained inside the club, officers asked those with 'good I'd' to step forward and separated them from the others. She believed that officers were trying to determine the workers' immigration status.
The worker, who asked that her name not be used, said that she obtained false documents at the request of club management, who would direct workers to go to MacArthur Park to get identification.
LAPD officials said that during the operation, officers separated those who were patrons from those determined to be employees and management of the club. The patrons were released. The employees and management were taken to the LAPD's Central Area station.
Police said the detainees were separated because those possessing fraudulent identification had committed a crime and would be arrested. They said it had nothing to do with immigration.
All employees who had valid identification were detained and released after booking, the LAPD said. Those who had fraudulent or no identification were subject to questioning by the LAPD and agents with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE agents were already conducting their own investigation into the potential federal violations involving the creation and use of fraudulent identifications to gain employment status, the LAPD said.
Immigration officials later determined that 75 of the arrestees were in the country illegally. ICE spokeswoman Lori Haley said Wednesday that none of them were in ICE custody.
But immigration rights advocates pointed to the arrests for false documentation or identity theft as evidence that the LAPD was most interested in the immigration status of the suspects.
CHIRLA spokesman Jorge-Mario Cabrera said the approximately 20 club workers the organization had spoken to typically worked 10 hours a day six or seven days a week. They were required to pay money out of pocket to the club if they worked less than 20 hours a week and forced to buy drinking water from the club while on shift.
"The potential victims were instead charged with a serious crime, a felony, and were turned over to immigration," Cabrera said.
According to a statement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, federal agents were not part of the raid at the club, but became involved to investigate whether federal crimes had been committed, including victimization of female employees. State labor investigators were also involved in the operation, according to police.
Officials said they have found no evidence of human trafficking at the club to date. Immigration attorney Jessica Dominguez, who is representing many of the club workers, said some may be eligible for a U visa, which gives temporary legal status to victims of crimes who cooperate with authorities in prosecuting the crime.
Roger Jon Diamond, an attorney representing Goliath Inc, the corporation that owns the club, said he was not aware of any allegations that management had asked employees to obtain false documents. The owners are currently investigating whether there was any wrongdoing by mid-level management employees, he said.

If you like White Women, Club Fantasy is probably the best choice for this. I will say that most are from the former Eastern Block. It's nice to see some activity in this section. I still stop-in to hc's every now and again when I'm in the LA Live area.
CF seemed to go through a long no action period but seems to be getting back to becoming the jack shack that it's known to be. Talent ranges from homely fat ugly chicks up to fairly attractive. The best looking girls are about a 7/10. Most are in the 4-5 range. There have been a few 8's and 9's over the years but they're long gone. I vividly remember witnessing some high mileage on the LAG dance floor back in 2008. Taxi Dancers Sue Los Angeles Club Over Multiple Violations of Labor Law.
LOS ANGELES—Dancers at a hostess club in Los Angeles have sued the club owners for a variety of labor law violations, alleging that they were paid only for the minutes they danced with patrons, were denied overtime compensation, and were subjected to 'exploitative, substandard and degrading working conditions, ' an immigrants' rights advocacy group announced Aug. 17 (Hernandez v. Goliath Inc, Cal. Super. Ct, No. BC462953, lawsuit announced 6/6/11).
The lawsuit was filed June 6 but not served to give the defendants, Goliath Inc, which owns Club 907, and its owners, an opportunity to settle, the dancers' attorney, Bert Voorhees of Traber & Voorhees, told BNA Aug. 18.
When settlement talks broke down, the Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) made the complaint public on Aug. 17.
In their proposed class action lawsuit, the hostess dancers, also known as 'taxi' dancers, because patrons pay by the minute for the time they spend with dancers, alleged they were required to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, but were paid for only a fraction of that time—and well below the legally required minimum wage rate.
The dancers also routinely worked more than 40 hours per week and / or eight hours per day, but were not paid the required overtime compensation. Club 907 failed to keep adequate records of the time worked by the 'taxi' dancers, and failed to provide them with accurate wage statements, also a violation of state labor laws.
Other alleged violations included failing to provide required meal and rest breaks, unlawfully deducting wages if the dancers had to leave work early, and requiring the dancers to reimburse the club for shortages caused by patrons who absconded without paying for time spent with the plaintiffs.
Club 907 also failed to provide the dancers what the complaint called 'basic workplace amenities required by law, ' including a place to sit when not with patrons, or a place to consume drinks during breaks. The club prohibited the dancers from bringing food or water into the establishment, instead requiring them to buy such items from the club.
The defendants did not provide the dancers with a private place to change clothes, and also unlawfully video-taped them in the locker room where they did change clothes, the lawsuit alleged.
Sexual Harassment Alleged.
Club managers subjected the dancers to sexual harassment, including quid pro quo sexual propositions by managers, who also 'turned a blind eye' to unwelcome sexual contact and lewd behavior by patrons, the complaint added.
The club's conduct violated numerous provisions of the California Labor Code, applicable wage orders issued by the Industrial Welfare Commission, and California common law, the dancers alleged.
Plaintiffs brought the complaint as a class action seeking to recover on behalf of themselves and other similarly situated employees the unpaid minimum wage and overtime compensation, penalties and interest, additional compensation due for missed meal and rest periods, and damages for being subjected to sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.
The dancers also brought the case as a representative action pursuant to California's Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) , to recover the applicable civil penalties for the alleged violations of the various labor code provisions.
Voorhees said the class, which includes all hostess dancers at Club 907 from 1994 through December 5, 2010, would number 'in the hundreds. '
In a statement e-mailed to BNA, Jeffrey S. Ranen, an attorney with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP who is representing Goliath, said:
'Club 907 vehemently denies the frivolous claims in this case. The Club complied with all California labor laws and the records will prove that Club 907's employees received well more than the minimum hourly wage. The sexual harassment allegations are false and being driven by a long term, disgruntled former employee who had a falling out with her supervisor. This case is nonsense, and Club 907 intends to aggressively defend against it and expects that a court will throw out the class action allegations. The Club believes that the attorneys' attempt to try this case in the media is a veiled effort to infuse politics into this dispute and it will not be tolerated. We expect to be vindicated by a jury. '
In November 2010, the Los Angeles Police Department served a search warrant on Club 907, and seized a number of false identification documents. The LAPD notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) , whose agents reported that during subsequent interviews, women employees of the club admitted they were in the country illegally, and that managers of the club knew that, according to an affidavit submitted in April in support of a federal criminal complaint against four club managers (United States v. Baquiax, C. D. Cal, No. CR 11-0794M, filed 4/14/11).
The affidavit noted that ICE in 2009 had received anonymous reports that Club 907 knowingly hired illegal immigrants as dancers and also that prostitution took place at the club.
Voorhees said the club closed after a second LAPD raid in December 2010.

This place specifically caters to Asians willing to spend big $$ and not care if they are being cheated on the bill. Well, beyond tipping, my best advise is to choose well. Here's why: I would say that if you choose well the damage tip should equal the rented time, that is, if you rent $40, and if she's worth it, then the tip should $40; if she's not worth it, drop her in the first 5 min. Do not waste your time. BTW, you do not have to tip, even if they say you have to, it is really up to you. Also, the only time I will tip equal to rented time is if I have an awesome time. Period. If not, I will only pay 20% of the rented time and I will move on to the next chick.
My best recommendation is to go through the girls fast with minimal damage until you find one that knows how to tickle your fancy. If a girl is holding back and being timid, go to the next one. The likelihood that she will let loose is questionable.

Parking is $5 before 8:00PM, $8 entrance fee, cost to dance with girl for 1hour is $30, most drinks $4. There is a 10minute minimum to dance with a girl so that is $5. If you only talk.
With the girl for 30minutes or less $10 tip is more than enough. Don't let any girl bullshit you into tipping more for minimal services. I have never had a blow job at Club Fantasy. It is very easy to get phone numbers from the gals. It's another thing to close the deal! I have not been able to get any dates out of the club. Just a lot of promises and maybes.
