Dropped into Ozone this week after being away since the summer and the first thing I noticed is they raised their prices for an hour massage from $80 to $90. I'm not trying to be cheap but I know the quality of the massage a person typically receives at Ozone isn't extraordinary to warrant paying $90/ Hr for it. But I was really in need of a massage and so I drew Sasha or at least that's what I think she goes by as I've seen her before. Again, the massage is decent but nothing to really warrant paying that house of a house fee. She asked what I wanted after the flip and just settled on L1. There was only one other girl in the waiting area when I left who looked to be in her mid-40's. The weather was bad and it was probably slow but I doubt I'll return if the service remains as is.

I'm trying to get a handle on things in the local area as I'm coming in town on business. Going to be staying I guess just outside of downtown in the southern most part of River North.

How brave are you? If you are brave, walk a couple of blocks south across the river to State and Lake and jump on the Orange Line. Ride 4 stops and get off at the Halsted stop. RL and Tokyo spa are within 5 minutes walk of the Halsted stop. Or ride 2 more stops and get off at the 35th/Archer stop. PD is 5 minutes walk and Orange is 10 minutes walk from the stop. Plenty of reviews on those places.
If you are scared to take the Chicago train, then wait to see if anyone else has something else to offer. West River Spa, is directly West of River North, on Grand Ave with up to L3 possible, depending on who you get. Though they close at 8? Grand Spa is 2 blocks further West on Grand, open until 10:30, but services are at a higher price point with reportedly up to L2 available, L1 is a for sure. West Town is just an overall safer, more affluent area if your are traveling by public transportation and on foot, later in the evening.
There's the "independent" provider route is an option but, as per usual, can be hit or miss. Someone just reported on a Euro provider in the Noble Square area (adjacent to West Town) in the EMP section of the Chicago Forum.
Not directing you away from Chinatown but considering you are taking public transportation and walking in the "late evening", it's best to know your options, be smart and be safe.
Avoid the dead, I mean Red Line, late at night. Just an overall tip for any visitor.
