Had some extra time yesterday, so I decided to tour the city with a few phone numbers in my pocket. Started at Elegant. My fav's were busy. Call TP. Guy would not give me a good address so I could find parking in Lincoln Park (chinatown location is closed). Passed on TP.

I ride over to some spa at Irving & Milwaukee. Paid attendant - some little chinese girl. Bottom line is a lot of teasing and NO relief. Not sure of the name of this joint, but I will NOT return to any of these places (except Elegant).

It looks like a dump from the ground floor. I was driving by and noticed the name, so I stopped.

Aw, give him a break he's from out of town. What would be the right one, Melrose? Other? O'Hare is technically Chicago, so what the hell.
He is correct though, there is nothing in the immediate area. If you search CL, there were Asian apartments setup near Rosemont and there are always tons of girls on CL in the area too. Although, with CL's recent changes I'm not sure what that's like.
Check the Norridge or Mt Prospect boards. They are not too far from the area.

I had a dream I went to Alice last night in Greek Town. I got there and paid. 40 for 30 min. I was led to the last room on the far right and showered up. I think the economy, dreary weather and daylight savings time has put me in a dangerous funk. I really shouldn't be spending money, but I needed a respite.
It started last night. I called a couple of people on CL with 312 area codes. I know 312 means nothing nowadays, but I was hopeful they'd be in the city. As it turns out, they were both located in the burbs, way beyond any area I was willing to travel to.
Plan B was to head up to Lawrence. I wasn't comfortable with the vibe, or maybe it was just my paranoia. Some character was hanging out in front, looking around sort of suspiciously, so I drove around the block; no easy task given the one way streets and dead ends up there.
Heading west on Lawrence thinking I'd park and saunter in, located about 20 yards east of my destination, I see the same suspicious guy with his head poked into a car that has those silly blue lights affixed to its roof. I take a pass, head up to Western and drive south. Before I know it I'm at Fullerton, when all of a sudden AOL pops into my head. I've publicly sworn this place off, but in my weakened condition I decided to go for it. I pulled up and it was dark. It was still early so I called, but was told they closed for the night. I plead my case, but to no avail.
Continued my southern trek down Western, arrived at my destination, but the only place I could find parking had a couple of gentlemen standing there. They gave me a look that suggested I wasn't welcome in the neighborhood, so, being the pussy that I am, I drove home.

Staff was friendly, and at the end of my session I even got a cup of water and some sort of promo card (Pay 10, Get 1 Free Session)
What I like about this place is that it has reasonable prices (0. 65 hr), the staff is really trained, (no crappy light touch massages, plus the fact that there is no negotiation of any sort for a happy ending
My experience here is limited to Annie (cute asian, probably mid 30s), so as always YMMV

Is anyone seeing any willingness on the part of providers to lower their rates and take less? I would asume that their business is down like every other retailer. Unless all mongers are wealthy and unaffected by a bad economy.
Door fees have dropped slightly, and reports from others indicate that some places are charging less for extras. It's not enough. If supply were limited, that's one thing. There are more MPs around than ever. BBBJ should be $ inclusive with a table shower. That may come in time.
What needs to start improving more is the quality of providers. When AMPs started up in the NW suburbs, the girls used to be knockouts, and pretty good masseuses, as well. Now they're not that attractive, in their 40s or 50s, and can't massage worth a crap.
Most places depend upon the monger thinking with the little head instead of the big one. As money gets tighter, I want more bang for my buck (pun intended)!

Hey, no disrespect. I lived in Hyde Park for 5 years. I was merely referring to the increased chances of something happening in and around that area. This is a risky hobby, in itself. Whatever we can do to reduce the risk, is worth it. I was part-owner in a business there...robbed at gunpoint several times. I was also buddies with the manager of Leona's who was robbed and killed as he was closing up shop a couple years ago. My car was broken into a couple times as well. Hyde Park can be one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city. Most of the trouble comes in from the neighboring neighborhoods. But, again - we're all lookin' out for our fellow mongers on here and part of that means advising against increased risk. I just thought I'd "second" that other monger's comments...

Hadn't been to Senina in a while, but I wanted a "sure thing" in this economy, so I hopped the red line and paid them a visit. I walked in with another monger (hate when that happens). IMHO, even If if the story is not true you would be wise to take it to heart and pick up on the message. Herpes is everywhere these days and use of condoms don't always prevent the spread of it. Read up about it so you can learn how to minimize your risk.

Seems to me it might be a good idea to do a quick visual check of the provider's hands or whatever body part you expect to come in contact with....just my 2 cents worth.

One of the reasons I like the apts is there is always the opportunity to take a nice soapy shower afterward. Sometimes you can ask at AMP but its not always available. While it's not going to prevent anything 100%, its gotten me through quite a few years. I always assume 100% of the girls have it, because they probably do. Not everyone shows.

Hey - money is tight nowadays, but the odds of AMP's telling you if they'll provide extras upfront (before even handing over entry fee) are very slim. Some might, most probably won't. Most often then not, you're making them nervous. Some of these places take a little skill of setting them at ease, even after you've started the service. Heck, since specifics aren't usually verbalized, this actually increases the odds of the jack-shacks gettin' you! They'll tell you just enough (just like their ads) to make you think you'll get something more - and then screw you. I'm just saying.. you could be missing out on some "good" visits by asking for a menu with one foot in the door and one foot out. Just monitor the board and stick with the safe bets to increase your odds of success. If you want to TOFTT, that's always a risk...which usually can't be reduced by asking them too many questions on the phone or at the front desk. Just my 2 cents...

I wanted to share my experience @ hispanic joint that advertises on CL under Therapeutic section (47th & Ashland). My trip was a waste of phucking time. That means I don't kiss anybody else, not even my pets. I'll put carmex-type lip balms on the sore. And when showering, I take extra care to wash around the area, and make damn sure I don't use the same washcloth when soaping up the boys down below.
The cold sore can EASILY turn into Simplex 2, which is the herpes on the nutsack, if you touch the cold sore for whatever reason, and then touch your nether regions.
You won't be able to tell by looking at the hands; herpes thrives in a warm, moist environment (mouth, vagina, dick). The hands are exposed to a relatively cold, dry environment, and it won't survive the elements.
There's no cure for either form of herpes; all you can do is shorten the duration of the breakout, and even then, all the medications won't help much.

Hate to break the news to you, but in both types of herpes,1 and 2, you can be infectious prior to the actual sore becoming apparent. This is not to say that a person is infectious all the time, just prior to the onset of symptoms (ie: sores).

You are not entirely right about how this disease spreads. Herpes (both kinds) goes through a period called *shedding*. This happens frequently or infrequently depending on many factors, but it is when the virus "sheds" from the infected nerve endings without showing symptoms. During shedding, the virus is 100% as infectious as hen full blown blisters are present. some people infected with either type of herp never show sores, but still shed from time to time. IE. You could spread it and never even know you have it. If you don't believe me, ask the internet and/or your doctor.
Herpes is really real folks and way more people than you think have it and it is VERY easy to get. ESPECIALLY in our hobby.
On another note, I received extras at ROSE twice in one week.

OR, and this is less likely, but possible: from unclean sheets or towels that a previous monger with the herp used and left residue on. If you can get oral herpes from a drinking glass or cigarette ( and you can) then you can get genital herpes in the same manner. Though I don't know why you would rub little Higgy on a drinking glass after someone with a cold sore.

Yes, herpes is very real, but let's take a deep breath. If memory serves, this whole rant started as a result of a poster suggesting that a "therapist" is out of commission for a month due to oral herpes. Or something to that effect.
I don't recall the exact story and I'm too lazy to scroll, but if anyone has a sore in their mouth for a month, or beyond two weeks for that matter, herpes would be the least of my worries.
I wouldn't be concerned about getting a HJ (unless the broad has warts or oozing sores on her hands), but you may want to err on the side of caution when getting a BJ. As for DATY, that's a potential problemo.
Herpes is a concern there, but HPV is way scarier. That shit can cause oral cancer. Oral cancer can kill you. Of course, if you get herpes and you have a significant other, she'll probably kill you too, so either way you're f*cked. But in all seriousness, think with the big head the next time you wanna dine on some young honey's loins. Not to freak anyone out, but the incidence of oral cancer is on the rise. Hate to break the news to you, but in both types of herpes,1 and 2, you can be infectious prior to the actual sore becoming apparent. I responded to an ad offering a very reasonable one hour rate. City and burb locations were offered, so I scheduled my appointment and hit the streets.
I'm glad the massage itself was good, because the therapist didn't look close to what I had foolishly envisioned and hoped for. It's funny. Whenever I drive past Heavenly on Waukegan, they typically have hot babes sitting at the reception area. Of course, once you go in, the actual therapist couldn't even be a distant relative to the babes sitting up front. I realize it's a legit operation, but I'd still be happy to have some bootielicious Euro babe rubbing my loins instead of someone that resembles Rosie O'Donnell.
Back to my story though, a very nice, but not so attractive, woman who kept me well draped during the session, gave me a quality rubdown. However, every now and then my sensory mechanism lead me to believe that she'd take care of all my stress.

The TS was nice, with fairly thorough coverage in the back, but slightly less through in the front, which made me worry that it would be like my last two dreams.
The massage itself was quite good. Very thorough, with just the right mix of soft stroking and serious muscle work. She was strong for such a little thing.
On the flip, she was all business asking for .6. I offered .4 and held firm. She wasn't happy about it, but came though with an adequate performance, after which she finished off the regular massage.

Before leaving the room I was chatting with my therapist as she prepared for the next client. She folded the towel that draped me and put it back on the table, then folded the smaller towel at the head of the table and placed it nicely around the face area. IPR, east of Milwaukee.
I wasn't necessarily surprised, but I wasn't exactly thrilled. It's kind of like going to a restaurant, you probably don't want to know what takes place in the kitchen.

You should never take your clothing off during a massage. First of all, if you take off your clothing and someone unexpectantly walks in, they may think that you are trying to get more than a massage. Second, leaving your clothes on will keep you from getting a skin rash or other infection in case the sheets or towels are not clean from a previous customer.
Lastly, keeping your clothes on will hide any embarrassing items that might pop up during the massage. Some guys just can't help getting excited during a massage. You don't want to have an erection in front of a masseuse, it can be offensive to them. These gals are trained to work your muscles so that they relax and tension is relieved. It is insulting to them to have to deal with someone that can't control themselves.
I would recommend loose clothing such as you would wear to a gym for a workout. If you have issues with getting excited, you can wear a jock strap under your sweats. Regular business or casual clothing can be too tight and actually cut off circulation to the major muscles when you lay down on the table. But, never wear jeans or denim shirts... the heavy seams make it difficult for the masseuse to effectively move the muscles during the massage, and the rough material takes its toll on the masseuse's hands.
Good luck, and if you don't have any workout clothes, Kohls is having a really good holiday sale at this time.

There is enough information there to tell you what to expect.
Then go out, get some action, and report back to us.

But I have had most of the CMT'S there and I think she is the least likely to provide extars. I mean there was no teasing whatsoever in my sessions with her. At least with some of their old "CMT's" there was teasing on different levels.
Anything is possible, especially at this place, but again, I find this hard to believe.

Went to Elena's at Lincoln and Peterson. Worthless experience. Massage was terrible and there was no finish. I think the guy that got there 3 minutes before me walked out. Don't waste your time.

I hit Mercy by Millenium Park about a month ago, never got around to giving a report.
Showed up, office door was ajar and with a cute girl at the reception desk. Asked for a massage, got Mei, skinny, maybe 40. So-so massage, offered a finish on the flip. No tip requested but I was feeling generous.
The funny thing was I was looking for a legit massage and wasn't really shopping for a finish.
