Although I have not yet visited PS, I have been by the place. I would describe the neighborhood as "just around the corner from the main street in town" (which it is). You are probably a hundred yards from the busiest street and shopping area in East Chicago.

I woke up early this morning and thought I would take the advice of earlier posts to go to PS early. They open at 10 and I was there at 10:10 only to find 4 cars already in front of the building. Mama san was happy to see me and greets me by first name. Luckily Helen was available to provide me service. This is my first post though I have been reading reviews for a while. Experienced AMP patron though I must admit I had a first happen yesterday. After a nice massage and some nice ass work, Candy left the room to get ready for the completion. She comes running back in and says something is going on and puts a towel over me. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon. I was the last patron to leave which was after the police officer left. I was told they would be back in 15 minutes but I did not stick around to see if they were coming back. Especially if it was true that they were looking for someone. I saw no squad cars when I came out. But I did see the officer in my room and he was a young white guy with a mustache. Again, I don't think they were there because it was a massage parlor (I could be wrong) because after I showed ID he was very polite. Before showing ID he had that cop attitude. The extra $.4 (totaling $2.4) was bargained for the second shot (BJ). It appeared that the second shot bargained for was not going to be honored. If 2 shots are bargained for at a price (here $2.4), no additional "extra" should be required.

They sometimes close for the Thanksgiving weekend and go home for a few days. I'll check tomorrow and see if things have changed. This is the usual time of the year that they tend to put up their "Closed for Remodeling" sign. I think that business gets slow just before Christmas.

Uh-oh. Went by there today and they had a letter hanging in the window adressed to the gentleman who came by on the 21st. It went on to say theu have not left the area as requested and they have the documents requested available. The letter instructed the gentlemen from the 21st to call them at the previously provided number and they would deliver the documents in a matter of minutes. Absent a call from the gentlemen they would be leaving NW Indiana by 5 pm on the 28th. Doesn't sound good.
I did stop by the Peking this afternoon and the "Closed" sign is still predominately displayed in the window. There is also a typed letter afixed to the front window. This is where it gets bad because the note states (and I paraphase here because the old memory is not so good anymore) that they had complied with the demand to stay in NW Indiana and have compiled the documents requested by the 21st. They also stated that they were leaving NW Indiana effective November 28, 2005 at 5:00 p.m.
It kind of looks like the mini-raid that Member #3896 reported in October was more comprehensive than we originally thought and now we once again may have lost one of our few institutions. Merry Christmas......

I think we can officially stick a fork in the Peking Spa because they are done. The phone number has been disconnected. Every other time the place was closed the phone was never disconnected. I know somebody that works for the Mayor in EC so I will do a follow up with them too.
I guess we still have the great memories though. My Peking ATF was Kathy with Sofia a close second. My best single time was with a young cute girl about 21 yrs old named Michelle but I only saw her one time she was never around again. Too many great times-over several years to list any one. The thing that was great about PS was the batting average. 1.000 for FS and over .500 for an above average time.
It was not cheap, but it was worth it. A true old reliable standby that was always there if your other plans did not work out.
The only AMP's close to PS were the places in Rockford until they all got busted around the same time that PS went down and in Michigan City 3 or 4 years ago.
Nothing in Chicago has lasted more than a few weeks. Bloomington Illinois had 2 or 3 above average places, but I have not been there for over a year.

A little after midnight I decided to take the plunge and went to Peking. First I was delighted to see the Open sign and lights on. Like the old days since it was late there was a "doorman" in the lobby watching TV. I pushed the doorbell and inside and had the typical experience of before they closed down. My masseue (Candy?) only asked a couple of times if I had been there before, when I answered yes, she asked how long ago, and I honetly replied a few months. Everything was handeled as it used to be. Same rates, same good service (was told to come earlier next time {instead of 12:10} so that the massage part would be longer. Life is good. Hope everyone has a relaxing time at the Spa.

I arrived at 10:15 AM and left an hour later with no new arrivals. A Hispanic tending a food cart is not unusual. Next time you see a van (or work truck) with a magnetic sign see if a phone # is included on the sign. Call the # with a question relating to the sign (plumbing sign/plumbing question, TV repair/TV repair question etc). Make it a hard question, but make sure you know the answer. See if the driver answers when the phone rings, then look/listen for his reaction to your question. That will tell you if the van is legit. Or not. And no need to block your number because your call is apparently legit, related to the business/trade on the sign.

Theatre: you walk in the door $.03, 3 dances for $.50, another $.03 for music, and usually around $ for FS. So a Theatre total of $1.56. Peking...$$ for FS, a nice shower and good massage. Plus Peking you are guaranteed 1 hour and it is fairly clean, as opposed to the rushed service at the theatre and being not exactly clean.
Don't get me wrong, I support both places because I like the different experiences and women, but the price is not that much different.

Patrons of a Northwest Side massage parlor may have had their visits with prostitutes broadcast over the Internet, police said. Based on statements from a woman who worked there and the sophistication of computer equipment seized from V.I.P. Salon & Day Spa, police believe sex acts might have been transmitted from small, curtained cubicles onto the Web, said Jefferson Park District Cmdr. Ralph Price.
Officers found tiny cameras mounted in the ceiling of several rooms at V.I.P.
"It's gone beyond just prostitution," Price said. "What you think may be private could be all over the place."
Investigators with the Vice Control Section said they had not heard of any similar computer set-up at other places of prostitution in the city.
"Really, this is kind of unchartered territory for us," said Lt. Paul Kusinski.
Price said the V.I.P. Salon at 4422 N. Milwaukee -- where customers have to be buzzed in -- has been a longtime problem for the neighborhood.
Chicago vice officers have raided the business seven or eight times over the past 18 months, and the city has filed complaints against the business, police said. The landlord of the business also filed a lawsuit in January 2006 seeking to evict the business owner, according to Cook County records.
The owner could not be reached for comment.
Charges stemming from the police raids were typically never more than misdemeanors. But now Chicago Police and the Cook County state's attorney's office are seeking more serious charges against the owner and manager for the alleged unlawful videotaping.
Price -- who has done premise checks himself on the business because of complaints -- said he hopes this latest raid will rid the neighborhood of V.I.P. for good.
"Finally, we can shut this guy down," Price said. "This could be the nail in the coffin."
Price's officers got their break on Dec. 20 when someone placed a 911 call to report that a woman at the business was screaming.
When officers arrived, a sergeant pulled back a curtain on two cubicles to find men having sex with women. But officers then spotted something else -- a pinhole camera in the ceiling.
"We followed all the wires," Price said. "They all went to a central computer."

One of the women arrested told police they charged the men for sex acts, but the real money was made from the share of profits from broadcasting on the Internet, Price said.
The officers obtained a search warrant, which was executed the next morning, Price said. The computer's hard drive was seized and will be analyzed, and police photographed all the cameras and the wires leading to the server.
The raid resulted in four people being charged, including a 20-year-old man for patronizing a place of prostitution, two women -- 39 and 20 -- for solicitation and a 51-year-old man for keeping a place of prostitution.

I visited Peking yesterday afternoon. The food cart was accompanied by a van. Decided to check it out so I went across the street & found the food guy using the basically empty van for heat, and had a couple of really good tamales! Speaking of really good tamales, I had a truly mind bending (when I finally got to Peking) experience with Cookie. Why anyone risks CL with a place like Peking around is beyond me!

Max, when I asked Lucy when she would be coming back from her "vacation", she said she did not know. So it might be a while, if ever. I have been inquiring about Cherry and I always get the "vacation response" from the Mamasan.

I have been there and heard other people waiting but did not see them. In my experiences, it's been rare that you see anyone while you're there. Drempt that I made it over to PS for the first time in quite a while (since before they "closed" for a while). I have had around 15 - 20 previous dreams about the place. Saw Cookie in this dream (first time I've seen her).

I haven't been to the place yet, but did some research planning for a trip later this summer. From what I heard the $$ is all inclusive, not on top of the door fee. That is still a bit higher than what I have paid in other areas, but not an outrageous amount more. My average seems to be between $.60 to $.80 for FS. Of course if the massage of services are lacking it still would not be worth it.

The only thing I would add from what Bend-it said is this. Whenever you go into any spa and they ask if you have been there before, always answer yes even if you havent. I learned this early on I said no once and they were careful and I didnt receive what I was hoping for and as they ushered me out the door they said make you happier next time. Well, $$ has been the going price for FS for years now. Just hand her the $$ and sit back for the ride. No negotiating, good service is pretty much guaranteed.
It should not come as a big suprise to you on your "next" visit if you try to chisel them down you get sub-par service again. And you will probably be back here complaining about it.

I had the opportunity to visit Peking Spa on Monday evening. The mamason showed me to a room, then a very attractive girl entered named Cherry. The shower was ok. Not much touching. Mickey would be my choice of the two although I have to say Cherry warmed up a bit when the games got going and was open to direction and firm suggestions when it came to where to start, where to stop, and where to put herself. Mickey has a cute little face and looks better in her outfits than out of them (both girls have tummies), but she gives a good massage, and can be a bit more fun than Cherry who as others have said seems cold and uninterested until you are done.

There was no excuse for poor or rushed service. The place was dead. It was just mamasan and Cherry and me, and I didn't hear the bell ring while I was in there. I've been there at times when the place was packed, but I never have received bad or rushed service.
I normally don't post unless service is extremely unusual in some way. This service was truly unusual for Peking. It sucked.

When I went, mamasan brought her in even though I asked for someone else. My guess is Cherry is getting pushed much like any product that doesn't sell well. The look on her face when she walked in the door made it clear to me that she didn't want to be there. When I asked HER to get another girl, out came the major attitude. She got moodier if not angry to the point where I just asked for the mamasan to come back in. I just wanted to get her out of the room.
I truly hate to say this but for anyone who used to frequent PS back in the day (pre-closing and re-opening), times have certainly changed. I fondly remember a selection of choices that were really beautiful women. Putting other places to shame. In other words, even the older ones used to make up for it with service. One can only hope that this is nothing more than a down spell, and the old PS will return at some point.

The Cherry you guys have be talking about, was this "little" Cherry? The one who is under 5 ft tall? If it is, it is to bad her service dropped so much over the years.
