Again, they do not have the Id for many of their members in the first place, who never gave it to them in the first place. So it is not like this is some way for them to keep members in check months or years later. I assume eventually both types of members are the same, it wouldn't make sense otherwise.
Some bookers don't keep any records long. I used one for 9 years straight and took a break during covid. After covid, they said they said they don't know my phone number anymore because they wipe numbers past X months. I explained I visited 9 years but they had no record. They needed a new recent network (I had old ones). A year later I got it and asked to get in, and I've used them for 2 years since. So some don't even keep phone numbers past a certain point. It can be a liability I suppose.
