Hoping this will make it easier to find info on strip clubs without having to search for it.

This is a great idea. I'm a huge fan of strip clubs, so I appreciate the forum. It has been my general experience in Columbia that the place named for a precious metal can be hit or miss, but I have had some luck pulling some ladies out for some outside entertainment. I've had VHM in the couch dances there, but again, it's all dependent on the girl. As for the place named for a certain virtue related to sexual discretion, I've had UHM in the lapdance section. I haven't been there in a while, and I haven't gotten laps at any of the clubs in some time. If someone else has something more direct or concrete to point out, please do so. However, please be mindful that this sort of stuff can get converted into serious trouble for the business in no short time at all. If you want more details, please feel free to PM me. Glad I wasn't the only one who has no idea what "VHM" and "UHM" are. I tried thinking of anything that I could that would use those letters, but nothing worked.
As for the strip clubs in Columbia. I dont' go to them all that regularly, but from what I have experienced here are my two choice selections:
If you just want to see naked girls on stage then the best club for that in my openion is Chastity on River Drive. Basically I like this place because it is truely fully nude. The girls take it all off and even give you a bit of an open pussy peak occasionally.
If you are looking for a more up close experience where you can touch the girls then the best place for that is probably Fantasy Island on Two Notch. The girls in this place will allow full access to the boobs for the price of a table dance, and sometimes pet the kitty is accepted as well. In the private stall area you can get hand release or BJ with an appropriate tip in addition to the dance price. However, this reccomendation comes with a couple of notes as well. First Fantasy Island is almost totally a black club. I am your average white guy, when ever I have been there I am almost always the only white guy in the place. The girls are all black as well. Never felt uncomfortable in the place, so it isn't a problem if you aren't of color. Second note, the club and the neighborhood are more than a bit on the rough side. Never had any problems personally there, but one should be careful.

When I visit in Columbia, I have had varying success at Heartbreakers (or whatever its numerous names have been) in arranging take-out service. Plus the girls usually don't seem as pushy as they are at Platinum.
At Platinum, you can pick up a beer at the bar, push your way through the wall of boom-boom-booming music and find a table.
Before you've had your first sip of the fermented elixer, some girl, usually very pretty, will ask you if you want a dance. Now, look: I've just come in. Bought a drink and want to settle in and scope out the talent. I'm not quite ready for a dance, but, I swear, if you turn down the first girl, it's as if she goes in the back and puts a big red "X" on a seating chart. From then on, it's tough to find a girl willing to sit down and just chat. Oh, yeah, forget take out at Platinum. Never seen it happen.
In my experience, it's just the opposite at Heartbreakers. The girls will make nice. Not pressure you into buying them a $27 drink that cost $0.75 to make. And they'll wait a while to say "How about a dance?"
Pleasant. And, for the most part, a good variety from which to choose. Plus there is sometimes the opportunity for take-out, or at least an exchange of digits.
My experience at Chastity's has been all over the place but usually more skanks than hotties. And, if there is a hottie or two, they're monopolized by someone with more money than you who was there before you got there.
Then again, I still don't know what "VHM" or "UHM" mean.

All of what you say is true, but in my experience, Fantasy Island can be hit-or-miss at times when talking about incall action. Pleaser's (on the other hand) is notorious for "extras". I normally wouldn't name this place so easily but I have friends in the sheriff's department, and the cops have known about it for years (the setup there make it damn difficult to run stings anyway - I refuse to go into details).
Does anyone have any recent info on The Southern Gentleman ? This club was closed for a while, then re-opened a few months ago. I used to go and had very good service there, but when I tried a few weeks ago, I was almost ignored and all of the girls there seemed bored to death. Not many patrons, but then if the girls aren't trying they never will build the clientele up again like it used to be.

My experience is basically the same as yours, in the same time frame. Not a lot of girls, and they were all sitting with their little cliques of friends. I know dancers don't always act to maximize their income, but sometimes it verges on amazing. I saw one girl sit with a bunch of young guys for over an hour, and none of them bought a dance while I was sitting in plain sight with $300 in my pocket and doing regular stage tipping and couldn't even get one girl. (Sure, I could grab one and demand a dance, but darn it, in a strip club the girls should come on to _you_, not vice versa -- that's for the "real world"!)
Unlike you, I can't recall a golden age for hte club. It's always been at a very hard location to describe how to get to, and I've never seen it really hopping; though I do check it out every now and then to see the current status.
Re other club comments: I agree about Fantasy Island at least in a historical sense. I haven't had the nerve to go back since someone was shot in the parking lot. (Don't know if it was related to the club at all). But when I did go, I was treated as kind of a white-guy mascot, no problem since the color green was the most important.
Have gotten HJ and BJ at Chastity's. They seem to go up and down on how strict the bouncers are. I _have_ been offered takeout at PP, but somehow it never came together. Never been impressed by Heartbreakers.

If you think I am high standing, then my friend you are easily impressed! NAh, just your average joe who spends way to much time loitoring around the board. Thought your comment about the TV broadcast was a hoot, I actually thought the same thing. Was wondering about the strip clubs that had their own TV stations (guess I got to upgrade my Direct TV to premium to get those channels).
As for general strip club info there are a couple of good internet boards that specialize just on strip club info. I had thought to post the links here to them, however I know the rules on this board about posting links so decided not to do it (wouldn't want to harm my hard earned Senior status, lol). I suggest a google search of the topic "strip club information board" would produce the links you want.
I do have one question about a place on Two Notch called Nexus or something like that. Its out there sort of by the Toyota dealer. on the same side of the street. Anybody have any details on what the deal there is?

LOL. Glad that my ratings got some feedback. Hmmm, there's a review board that starts with the letter Z and then follows with the thing a dog buries in the backyard and finishes with com. If you google as suggested, you'll find the board, and it specializes in reviews of clubs out in LA. I have had limited time to frequent the clubs recently, but they can be fun places to visit when the time is right. The whole thing about the clubs, as several of you have already pointed out, is the whole time and money element. True enough, you can get a little relief at very low cost from the ladies on the boulevard. It's all in the eye of the beholder, anyway. This is a great resource, and I'm glad to see a local board discussing the clubs this way. I've always thought we had a great selection, all things considered.

If you're talking about the same joint I think you are then I might be able to help. It's a Black club but nobody will even give you a second look (as Spiff said earlier, the color GREEN is more important to them anyway). The club's kind of tiny, with a main stage and a vip room beside the DJ booth. It's not a private room, and there is nothing like that to speak of (unless they've changed/expanded recently). I doubt your mileage will be very high here because of the set-up (if you get anything you'd better be quick as hell about it); however, there may be outcall action available (I haven't tried myself, I just know the type of girl who usually dances at these clubs). The girls here aren't half-bad looking, usually ranging from 6+ and up.
In all, a good place to relax, have a beer and look at some ass but may not be conducive to incall (outcall maybe possible). You may want to check the clubs across the street, though (called "Boom-Boom Room", I think?). I haven't had anything other than HJ there, but things may have changed as I haven't been there in a while.
Just to fill in my 2 cents worth, I've gotten both BJ and HJ at Chastities and HJ and PP. Never seen much action at Heartbreakers, but I think as with all of them, it depends on the girl, how busy it is, the phases of the moon, etc. Have been given numbers at all of the places, but haven't followed up on any of them.
Did really enjoy the outside deck thing Chastities did last summer. It let you see what the dancers looked like in the sunlight, instead of inside a dark club. I hope they do it again this year.
PP usually has better looking girls on average, but I've found some hotties at Chastities and Heartbreakers as well.

I've had HJ's and BJ's at Chastity's. Once ... and this has been a couple of years ago ... I had FS in the campagne room at Chastity's, and for cheaper than I was able to get it anywhere else (not counting off the street). A number of the girls will let you DATY in the couch room. I liked the outdoor action too. I hope they try that again.

Beez Wax, yes the Carrage House was the way I wish the current clubs were. A back room with a room in the back that had a door with a lock on the inside.....Wow, some great times were had back them.
Is there another club there now?

I think you're looking at the Carraige House through "good ol' days" filters. The one time I tried the back room, the girl looked a lot less good there than in the almost total darkness of the bar, and she turned out to be some sort of eurotrash whose idea of a compliment , calling me a "sex-goddess" was offputting to say the least! It was one of the most unerotic experiences I ever had that actually resulted in an orgasm.
The building is still a strip club, btw. It's now 'liquids', and is a mostly black establishment, but I had no problems the time I dropped in. (Didn't see any extras offered though others have reported differently).

You are most likely right about my "Filter" ! But I was a lot younger then and it all seemed pretty exciting. The "Talent" was hit-or-miss, but I had some nice ones .... and good times.

I remember the Carriage House from about twenty years ago when I worked for a year at Ft. Jackson. The girls danced topless and then the city banned topless dancing for a while and they danced with flesh colored bandaids over their nipples. The place was so dark I didn't understand what was happening at first and couldn't understand (after a few drinks) why all the girls nipples had disappeared.
I really enjoyed that place but don't remember any back room experiences. There were some really cute girls there back then but as someone mentioned, time tends to filter the memories and maybe the past wasn't as good as we remember.
I was in Columbia a couple of years ago visiting a relative and tried to find the Carriage House but I couldn't figure out where it was located. The entrance to Ft. Jackson had changed so much in twenty years that I couldn't even identify the location.

Just before you get to I-77 on Forest Drive there is a road to the left (across from the entrance to the mall). If you turn there you will see the old building right in front of you. I don't know if there is anything there anymore. Haven't looked since the CH closed. Used to be a great place! And yes, there was a VERY private back room.
CH has been long gone. I think I even heard that the old man that ran the place died.
The building is still there and I believe its a Black Gentlemans club named Liquid or something like that. I've never been to the current club.
Yes, the back room or "Tea Room" as it was often called was an interesting place. There was even another room behind that where many fun times could be had !!! Most of the ladies were even available for tip out.
I have to credit CH as the place where my activities related to this board all began.

I went to Chasity's last weekend and had a few VIP dances with a stripper named Strawberry. She says that she give FS for 1.7. She was about a 5 on the SW scale, very small. She was the only dark meat at the club that night. I got a little finger action and was tempted but did not take her up on the offer. Most of the girls in the club will do something, but you have to talk to them the right way. What's the right way? Seems to be just regular conversation. I also went to Studio 54 about a month ago. GREAT PLACE (if you enjoy african American women. They had them all shapes and sizes. I had a really good time. I had one offer for FS, but she was one of the girls not getting to many tips.
