i will be staying in a place on 10th street near UNR. No car (well, none reserved). Do I need one? What will I find available? I have just come back from the FKK clubs in Germany and have no desire to pay 3 or 4 or more times for what I can get there. So I am looking for lower cost, bar pick up or street action.
Is it safe? Is the posting about 4th street about right? Should I rent a car?
I am a frequent poster (closing in on 200 posts) in the carolinas. I'd appreciate any help. I have rtff'd already, but since the last post was a month ago, I am looking to see if this info is up to date.

In response to my experience in Carson?I have found that $100 is the Min on sunday-thurs for a hj or bj,but fs can be had from a small number of the house such as Kit kat and moon light for $200-? from a quality lady?
But anyone going In a cab I was told from the girl was paying a higher price?
I am not sure if cabbies get a push for dropping off the guys like they do at strip clubs like in Las Vegas.But the lady I saw said you pay more coming in a cab?As for more bang for your buck I have heard that Tj is a great value from my reading on the san Diego board.My favorite day is sunday night and late mon and tuesday evening after 9 p.m and again around midnight if that is when the shift change is?
I also find out the shift change and go right before to see about getting a good deal?may the lady wasn't so busy or wants to make a little more before she retires for the night.Just my 2cents italian guy.
P.s expect to pay out of the ##s on any weekend with yahoo's raising the kitty and putting prices out of reach for most hobbist?
Stayed at the Nuggett last week and noticed a girl (blond, decent looking, nice dress, 5'5 130 lbs) who "didn't look like she belonged" at the penny slots near the East tower elevators around 2:00 am. Sat down next to her and started up a little conversation. She quoted 3 but a little talk got her down to 2. Went up to my room got CFS and BBBJ for about 1/2 H till I finished. She took off, I wanted seconds, but she wanted more money. I should have discused that earlier. Either way, got pretty good service, especially since I used money I just won at the Blackjack tables!
Well, I tell ya, fellow members, there is no joy in Mudville today. I had some free time this weekend, and a little cash to spend, and thought about how I might want to spend both of them. I ended up staying home.
Reno has become disgustingly respectable. I thought about heading over to the Empire club, one of my favorite places, but it's been closed down, the victim of yet another Walmart superstore.
The Men's club closed down last year, the victim of the train track relocation.
That leaves 3 strip joints in a town that used to have 8! And word has it that the Spice House, one of the 3 remaining, will be closing down soon as well.
The local police have been working diligently to eliminate the streetwalker scene, and there are NO amps. The only opportunities left are the casino girls and the local brothels, which are ridiculously expensive and mainly just for the touristas.
It's ironic that in the only state in the Union where prostitution is legal, you're better off saving your money and spending it somewhere else.
Just a few thoughts for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I am flying in to Reno soon, for a week. I lived in town in the early 90's, I have fond memories of the topless bars and fourth st. I was planning on staying on 4th to facilitate may activities better. But the news here does not sound good.

As far as Germany, I didn't believe the other posters and got ripped off on Orainenburgstrasse (Berlin) in October. I will going to the clubs from now on, my problem is I stay in Mitte. I will have to become more mobile.
I sure hope the Washoe County jail gets overcrowded and they let a few girls out, for my vacation.

Looking for indie's who are reasonably young and reasonably cute. Not sure I want to try the street scene. Was there in January and just wasn't comfortable in a town I didn't know. I have tried out other towns, but I couldn't "figure out" the local zone. Maybe it was too cold!

Last night I saw the Reno 911 show on the Comedy Central station. It was really funny. The regular crew is 7 Reno police officers (3 women). They're always into some screwball stuff like trying to bust hookers, and making bafoons of themselves.
Watch it if you get a chance.

Last week I spent 2 days in Reno. It was my first time, so I was not familiar with the local SW scene. However, I spend a couple of hours at Wild Orchid. The girls there were very very nice...and I have been to strip clubs in almost every major city from coast to coast. Perhaps persistant and flashing more money could have some potential, but I didn't push it.
Also, saw advertisements for Wild Horse(?) off Exit 28 on I-80. Is this also a strip club?
Aero -- Wild Horse is a legal brothel about 10 miles east of Reno. Too expensive for me. A new "Mustang Ranch" has just opened, see 'brothels' section.

Exactly 29 posts in the entire Reno thread since my last post of September 4. And most of them are questions. What's up with this picture? Has Reno's finest succeeded in erradicating prostitution? Are they still doing sting operations on 4th Street?
I guess I'll find out soon. I'm coming up for a week to escape the Las Vegas heat as soon as the poker tournament is over. I didn't finish in the money so I'll be looking for "value meals". Got the $27 room deal at the Sands. That leaves $13 a day in my per diem budget for food and sex. Will I make it?

Since I'm on my way to Reno and there is not much info here, I thought I'd do a little independent research. I happened to be in Reno last September and was almost a victim of one of these stings. I used the search engine compliments of the Reno Gazzette Journal. Try it yourself.
I just put in the word prostitution and searched the last 12 months. There were no less than 9 articles wherein anywhere from 5 to 19 men or women were busted for solicitaion or prostitution. Every article was a carbon copy press release which reads "19 WOMEN ARRESTED IN PROSTITUTION STING" or "16 MEN ARRESTED IN 4TH STREET STING".
All cited Detectives of the Street Enforcement Team for enticing respectable citizens to solicit prostitution using a decoy. Then they give your name, address and place of employment. I'm sure a few lost their jobs including a fire captain and an airline manager. This type of underhanded law enforcement is remeniscent of the days Bill Raggio was batteling it out with Joe Conforte.
No wonder Reno has no business other than selling new houses to rich Californian's looking to escape high taxes.
And the brothel owners want to pay more taxes ! ! !
I think the Reno cops are being paid by the brothel owners to drive all the business to them! !

Yes, sad to say, but unless you can afford to drop a grand or two at the brothels, you may as well forget about Reno as a hobbying destination.
The only streetwalkers you will find anymore are undercover cops. Occasionally you might run into a freelance girl working one of the casinos, but even that's if-fy at best.
Many of the downtown casinos are being converted into hi-rise luxury condos. Probably the only casinos that will remain downtown are Circus Circus/Silver Legacy/Eldorado, the Cal Neva and Harrah's.
You're better off saving your money and going someplace else. Typically you will get much more for your money outside the U.S.

After many trips to Vegas I decided to make a quick trip to Reno while I was doing business in Sacramento. I stayed at the Silver Legacy and could not find any girls in the hotel. Tried a couple of other boards and even the phone book. You are exactly right - there is nothing going on here.
If you have never been anywhere else than give the brothels a try. But for the money they want and the production line atmosphere it is not worth it. I am alwasy surprised how much press they get. But in some ways this is good. It lets people think that this is all there is for P4P. Keeps them out of the circuit.
If you live anywhere in the northern US you need to take a trip to Canada. I am not into SW, but more into outcall escort. This is abundant here and with the exchange rate sometimes even a deal.
If you are going to Nevada to monger, stay in Vegas. At least there are a lot more options.

I saw plenty of SWs on the Reno strip, at the south end after dark (near the Cal Neva and Harrahs). They walk down one side, cross the street and walk up the other side. Most are not the grubby type that you'd see on 4th St. My guess is they mainly work casino bars and walk the strip once in awhile.

I went to the obr and had a wonderful time with a old friend Domonique blonde tall 5'11 playboy body all natural no surgery that most women would die for.Also the money was lessssssssssssss than other and Fs and cbj was very well worth it.
I went to Carson city and the horsesoe drive way that has atleast or 3-4 places was filled with just nasty looking ladies.I know that some guys like fat chicks and getholadies but it looks like south central La dumped its rejects and keep all the Pretty gals.
I had to go back to the Obr and saw a pretty little blonde early 30 from Germany that had a body to die for.I believe like a lot of guys are saying that the p4p girl a fading away in Reno.The ladies didn't look great and the ones that did wanted $250-$400 to start nego.I my opinion things are going down hill in REno with Greedy pricing and high miniu that It will soon price me out of hobbying in this city even the service with a glove for hand jobs.
