TV report:
On Monday evening there as a show on CNN which talked about a lady that was trying to clean up Omaha Nebraska of drugs and prostitutes. Apparently they were doing citizens patrols and taking down license plates. The cops had also stepped up the stings and were listing the names on billboards....
Personally I am not opposed to cleaning up a neighborhood, but why don't they go after the people that are causing the problems like the pimps. After all it is mainly the pimps and a few bsw's that is causing the problems.

Made several loops around the Leavenworth / Park area on a recent weekday in the early afternoon. In going South on 29th to Woolworth, West on Woolworth to Park and North on Park to St. Mary's, I noted 5 half-way decent SWs. I saw signs posted on Park saying it is a no-cruise street during certain hours but I saw no LE to speak of in over 90 minutes of cruising.

Has anyone had the chance to take a look at the new strip club Atlantis on the Northeast Corner of 120th & Center? I heard an advertisement on Z92 last night, it said they serve drinks so obviously a titty bar, but I was curious about the quality of the girls.
I still wish there was a place for some good action in the area, but with the weather warming up the pickings should get better.
If I decide to check Atlantis out this weekend, I will definately drop a post to let everyone know what its like.

Okay, well between my stupidity and curosity, I forgot that this is the same location as American Dream Girls.
All that happend was they cleaned the place up a little, slaped on a new coat of paint, and put up a new sign. The didnt even air the place out, so it still has the same cigarette smell.

I haven't posted for a while, because of the revamping of this site as well as the fact that there is not much happening in Omaha monger-wise, at least not that I've been able to find.
I've gone out a couple of times recently and had no success to actually getting ripped off by some b**** who claimed to be from California. Late Thurday night, around 12:30am, decided to take a drive north up 24th Street from Martha all the way up to Storz Expressway to see what was out.

Did score at the second one, but was not worth the risk. I get along with people fine, but it's a bit disconcerting being the only white face in a semi-full bar. In vegas the lower income areas are more mixed, with hispanics etc. The rib place on about Ames and 28th or so, on the south side of the road, was sure good though. Hey everyone,
I happened to be passing by the stroll on the way home from work so I decided to take a tour around 24th and Leavenworth to see if anything was going on, and that was LE. They were everywhere! On the main streets, side streets, parking lots. Saw a couple girls but didn’t have the time and since LE was pretty heavy I headed on home.
After a few hours of listening to the wife's nagging, around 9pm, decided that I should check it out again. LE was still around, although they were more in the background sitting on side streets and darker lots. Not surprisingly, not much to see. Only saw one WSW, on St. Mary and 24th, with black hair yelling at cars as they were driving by. She wasn’t anything special by any means and didn’t even want to take the chance, so headed back home.

As dayamcock said watch out for the bird in the air. That is how I got busted some time back.It was an undercover opperation. They stuck a wire on a SW and lucky me, I picked her up. Before I picked her up, I thought I was playing it safe. I circled around the bolck a couple times. Made good eye contact. This whole time I could hear the police helicopter above. It happend so fast the only thing I had time to do was hit the brakes. They all surounded the car and told me to get out. Dame I still had my little wee wee hangin out. They patted me down let me zip up then cuffed me and stashed me in the front seat of the unmarked car. Man this car was ankel deep in crap on the floor. Cups and candy bar rapers every where. If you seen this car on the street you would have apsolutly no idea its an under cover. Detective so and so got in the drivers seat and started asking me to tll him the whole storie and if I told the truth they would go easy on me. I did tell him the truth and he talked to his boss on the radio about what to charge me with but, sence there was no mention of money they couldnt get me for prostitution. They wrote me a ticket for lewed conduct and reckless driving but at least I got to go home that night. Later in court I just plead guilty and got $60 fine for lewed conduct and $60 for reckless driving plus cout costs. By the way court costes are up to $44 per ticket now OUCH! But $200 wasent bad because it could have been a lot more!

I wouldn't worry too much about any helicopters right now. It sounds like because of the rising fuel costs, that they are limiting their use anyway. Can't imagine that they would be flying them to catch some poor mongers over some really serious criminals. But, I guess the best advise is to be aware of all your surroundings.

The last couple of times I was out in downtown Omaha, it appeared that there was more activity. I usually find the action on north 24th to be pretty predictable and have almost never turned up dry there.
