So I have noticed that things have gotten a little heated in a couple of threads over here. In Orlando, there is a fight thread called the rat trap. That is usually where flame posts go. I'm surprised Tampa has lasted list long without a fight thread, but it looks like it is time.

Since you guys refuse to stay on topic in ANY review thread I've given you a space for your unending arguments. There are other threads like this around the forum, Cincy has The Octagon, Detroit has Motor City Madness, in Boston it's The Massholes. In keeping with Orlando's main identity I thought Melee at Mickeys Castle was appropriate. You guys might think it's lame as fuck, if anybody has a better idea, feel free to suggest it.
There are a different set of rules in here. I won't redact fighting, you can call each other cocksuckers, stupid motherfuckers, whatever you want but no hate speech. The words, nigger, spick, kike, jap (but not Jap.) dot, ect. or any use of words intended to be racially or ethnically derogatory are still not allowed.
You may not post arrest or legal issues, nor unfounded STD reports, and as always absolutely nothing about anybody under the age of 18. Mostly what you can do it argue. What this means of course if there is ZERO tolerance on the review threads for that now. Normally it takes one infraction for a regular member to get put on permanent moderation and two for a senior to go back on. In Orlando now that number is the same for both, 1.

I think some of the members, including myself, should take more advantage of this thread to call each other out. From time to time, any of us can seem like idiots or infatuated with a girl or just plain stupid for no good reason. From the day I joined this board, I was immediately stunned by the wealth of information accessible to our hobby. Not being a novice to mongering, but new to Tampa, I took to reading as much as I could and as often as I could.
I have faithfully submitted my own reports, to include pics whenever possible, in order to not feel like a freeloader. Not long after that, Russia refused to lower oil production like the OPEC (Saudi Arabia) nations wanted them to agree to. The reaction was to increase production.
Because of the coronavirus, the demand for oil dropped significantly. The price of oil is down near $23 per barrel, which is much less than half of what it was 30 days ago.
Even without coronavirus, such a large drop in oil prices would have put huge pressure on the economy. Granted that both at the same time make things much worse until there is more certainty in the world and volatility drops back near normal levels.
Coronavirus will pass. Oil demand from travel will increase and then winter will come to the Northern hemisphere, which always increases demand for oil. Things will get better.

It is not the only thing making the economy falter. Boeing weakened the stock market somewhat, then the coronavirus news came along. Not long after that, Russia refused to lower oil production like the OPEC (Saudi Arabia) nations wanted them to agree to. The reaction was to increase production.
Because of the coronavirus, the demand for oil dropped significantly. The price of oil is down near $23 per barrel, which is much less than half of what it was 30 days ago.
Even without coronavirus, such a large drop in oil prices would have put huge pressure on the economy. Granted that both at the same time make things much worse until there is more certainty in the world and volatility drops back near normal levels.
Coronavirus will pass. Oil demand from travel will increase and then winter will come to the Northern hemisphere, which always increases demand for oil. Things will get better.

Keep in mind as the number of infected rises daily, there are still patients from the days and weeks prior who require in-patient care which further compounds an already fucked up situation. I push the cart only with the right hand and use it for display handles, etc. If I have an itch, I use my left hand. I also have a hand sanitizer pack on a carabiner that I'll frequently use, even with my gloves on, especially if I need to use my left hand to grab something. After using a credit card, I'll rub it with some sanitizer before I put it in my pocket.

Can anyone explain why liquor stores are allowed to remain open? Don't bother, it was a rhetorical question congruent with the fact Publix deli employees (and I'm sure McDonald employees too) were preparing sandwiches and other foods until last week for customers without wearing masks (and in extreme cases, no hair nets) so with this being said, why couldn't restaurants reopen with limited seating (anywhere between 25-50%) two or more weeks ago? If Costco, Publix, McDonalds and ABC liquors can be deemed "essential" why not Sloppy Joe's or Charley's Steak House?
As others have stated, the lock-down was done to SLOW the spread, not eliminate the virus. Now that we have a solid grip on it (at least in 90% of Florida as well as other states) it's time to get back to work. This Chinese Communist Virus is going to be with us for at least a year, and with proper precautions, we can inch our way back to normal, but telling people not to leave their homes while others flock to the Courtney Campbell Causeway, park their cars on the side-median (because the parking lots remain closed!) and have picnics, gather in groups and take pics of the sunsets while others walk their dogs, ride their bikes and make out in the mangrove areas without even a single nephew of Uncle LEO even handing out parking tickets just goes to show how full of shit all this "Stay Home and Stay Safe" bullshit order really is at this point!
Why are we not closing done restaurants? Because it's a constant function, it's independent of what you or I do. It's the asymptomatic non mask wearers who are the problem. The virus is spread by talking, coughing is not necessary to infect someone. You deciding to eat a big mac is not going to kill any other person. I wear a mask, I think I had it, it's not for my protection because a mask does little for your own protection. It's primarily to prevent egress. Why do you think a surgeon wears a mask? Governments dropped the ball, especially the CDC when they told people masks were unnecessary.
