Well I took my friends recommendation and finally decided to go. It was on 50W. area. I go ring in the bell but no body fucking answers I start to get pissed off but then I called the number again ( I had it saved in my phone) and here comes 40ish Korean with a semi good looking face.

Alright! I'm thrilled there's a new section for AMPS. Sadly, they aren't cheap and it's kind of a drag. I'm not really into $60-$80 HJ's, and it's amazing how many guys are into throwing money over a fence like that. Went to this Spa about 3 weeks ago, just after they opened. From the front desk, a friendly receptionist took my by the arm and led me to the locker room. They have great facilities here, dry and steam sauna (steam sauna is awesome, they have some basket of herbs in there that feels great to breath in - sounds odd but try it). This is a fully clothed rub-n-tug place with attractive masseuses, and similar to WSG behind PENN Station.

Great massage - flip - roam - pop - more massage - hug. Great hour value for $70/$40.

If anyone has been here - there is one asian lady behind the reception desk, a bit taller, dressed in street clothes, late 30s and nice big boobs! Anyone know who I am talking about? Does she massage? I was going to try to call or something to see if I could find this out, but this is tough.

I try to check out the AMPs since it's another way of spoiling myself. I like the Heaven spa - 15 W 17. Nice place, pretty women and fair prices. $70 an hour. I've been there 5 or 6 times, and have only received a topless tug. Still not bad. The massage is great so I go every so often.

There's the full service MP on Broadway and 32nd, but this place is dirty, there's only a curtain to create a partion, and I amazed they haven't gotten busted yet.

I found another MP. I've been there twice. It's $55 an hour. Each time I was asked what I like. The first time I got a CBJ for an additional .6. The second time, and a different girl, I would up with FS. She didn't say how much before hand, so she wound op with an additional .5 She wasn't too happy. I fugured all the times we mongers get ripped off, this ones for us.

I am a fan of amps too. One of my atf's is WGS on w31. .8/.4 for one hour massage. Girls are 4 - 8 on looks and its a clothed hj. But the massage is good to great depending on who you get (lottery for girls unless you call ahead).

The place is tops because they have very clean facilities and private rooms. Sauna, steam and shower are communial. They have a quick table shower by a locker room girl but its nothing special. I get more attention from a dentist but the poor things double as maids and usually don't get tips. I make a point of giving 5 beans and a smile because I am sure they get crap pay to clean the locker rooms up.

I agree with the other guys about the 32 and bway place. Absolute crap set up and a piss hole. Some rooms are semi private meaning a curtian for a door but Momasan is always on the prowl.

I read one bad review but to satisfy my own curiosity I decided to go.
The place is off of 33rd street and it has a door security guy who rings you in.

I went upstairs and knocked on the door. The lady who answered looked young enough and was thin. Not exactly my type, but cute. She brought me back out into the hallway and said that they were very busy and asked could I come back in 20 min.? I just smiled and said ok. Found a comics store around the corner and chilled for 8 min, walked back to the place, knocked again and she smiled and let me inside.

She told me to get undressed as I did I heard another guy's voice and some money exchanging, so I knew he was on the way out. She came back and introduced herself as Christina. She was very upfront with what I needed to ask her. "Do you want massage?" "Tell me if you want erotic touch'", etc.
The place was very hot I was even sweating in the face hole thing that was ringed by that toilet paper material. Not good.

She begins to work on my back, but because she's so little, there wasn't alot of power in her massage. At that point, I just tell her I want to turn over. Dude don't bother with that place again. I am not a primadonna but I require basic comfort and respect. its not worth the bean savings to have the door or phone answered while in session. Read the posts below for places that are run right. When I get a massage I want a good one!!! If I was going for a HJ I would use a CL non amp and get more milage

Yes, it is very busy at that place. Having the phone answered while getting a massage or a HR is very distracting.

Is it a FS place?

I heard that Annie (older one) does that, but I don't think Christina does.

But I always thought those places included the tip in the door fee.

If it's gonna cost me, I'd better get something I can't give myself. :-)True but I actually go for a massage and sauna too. The HJ is the icing on the cake. I work hard and need a few hours away from the bustle...this is the best way to do it and I get off too!

I haven't heard of an FS place that has a sauna and good locker room. Has anyone else?

I’ve been to Han Yang on West 32nd, NJoy at 162 Madison and Ivy Total Spa (don’t go to this last one!). The others I know by reputation or from other WSG mongers. All should offer at least a HJ, some may offer more. Any place that is open late at night (especially until 1 or 2 a.m.) should guaranteed offer at least a HJ. As always, YMMV:

I had another dream.

In this dream, I was back in Manhattan last month, March. What a time. I decided to check out Jully at a new AMP- I found out she pronounces her name "julie."

It sounds like one of the many $200 Korean FS places, such as Whisper, rather than the more conservative sort of AMP that just offers a HJ and some light roaming.

There's a bunch of (usually Korean) HJ places that charge $60-70 entry but don't usually offer FS. Most of them are in midtown, in the west thirties, as already reported here.

I'm actually a fan of the legit Chinese Tuina places because you never know what's going to happen -- of course, I know a lot of people just hate that!

There's some kind of handwritten sign on the front door but it's in Chinese (or Korean but I think Chinese) and no lihgt on in the building. This is at 7PM.

So I go back to my hotel and decide to call one of the asian outcall services I had checked out in my planning's and I get a nice half Chinese, half Japanese girl who sucked me dry without any complaints, smiled and swallowed. I stopped off at this place the other day to check it out, and in short, my experience was very similar to that of Gillscot's experience. Christina was petite and cute, looked sexy with a sparkle in her eyes, spoke excellent English and was upfront about giving a sensual massage, etc. But no extras beyond a handshake were available, and the constant phone calls were a distraction.

First, some clarification. My lengthy post below lists this place as "Unnamed spa, 1270 Broadway, (between 32nd & 33rd?), Room 303. 212 279 6262." The name is "Evergreen Body Care" and they've moved to Room 510 on the 5th floor. The board in the lobby by the elevator on the ground floor still lists them as being in Room 303, but that's wrong.

I was greeted at the door by the young thin cute girl, speaking on her cell phone while opening the door. She asked me if I had been there before and I said no, but then I asked if Christina was on duty. She identified herself as Christina and asked me how I had heard of her, and I said that I had received two recommendations about her, without mentioning that the recommendations had come from WSG.

Paid the $60 house fee, then had to wait 10 minutes while Christina finished up her cell phone conversation in Korean. During the massage, the phone rang 3 times, and each time Christina gave directions over the phone while continuing her activities. Most intriguing was the last phone call - right in the middle of her giving me a handshake with 2 hands, the phone rang, so she held her cell phone with one hand while continuing to finish the handshake with the other hand. While I admire Christina's ability to multi-task, I still felt a little strange by this process.

One strange moment - I had indicated to Christina that I wanted more than a handshake and she politely refused, then said, "the big problem is that my boss reads Craig's List on the Internet, and if he ever read that one of the girls got naked or did more than a HJ, he'd fire that girl on the spot." She said that guys are probably thinking that they are complimenting the girl when in reality they are causing her to be fired.

Just because the sign is handwritten and in Chinese/Korean does NOT mean that the place is not there. Besides, at least one older post here on WSG mentions the sign with Chinese characters.

Unfortunately, you just didn't know where to go. 405 Broadway was always an extremely low rent place, cheap but with not very good service. On CL or in the giveaway papers you can find places comparable to the LA ones (where I've been) for about $50 more than you would pay in LA. The going rate here for fairly good AMP FS is $200.

There's many other places, less expensive and sometimes with very nice girls, that offer HJ and some roaming but no FS.

Just because the sign is handwritten and in Chinese/Korean does NOT mean that the place is not there. Besides, at least one older post here on WSG mentions the sign with Chinese characters.

As far as there being no light on in the building, these places need to be discreet, that's all. The 4th floor windows are covered up with cloth, etc. so a passer-by might think the place is closed, but they're there.This place is closed. They moved to Madison Ave, although I haven't checked their new place out yet.

Wanted to add some new spas and additional info to my long post from April 12th, but was not able to do so. So, consider this as an addendum to my past post. By the way, my latest theories are that the AMPs that have noticeable signs/banners/sandwich boards are HJ-only places, while the more discreet places (such as 162 Madison, 4th floor) might offer more; also, places that are open until 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. may offer more than a HJ:

1) As mentioned in my April 18th post, the "Unnamed spa, 1270 Broadway, between 32nd & 33rd, Room 303" is actually "Evergreen Body Care, Room 510," although the ground floor directory still lists Room 303 as the location. No sign outside the building. Features the famous Christina, late 20s, petite, cute, sexy, who has the rare ability of holding her cell phone in one hand (giving directions to the spa) while jacking off a customer with her other hand. Maybe more is available if the guy promises to not post anything on CL?

2) Palm Tree Spa, 32 W. 31st Street, 2nd floor, does exist - there's a large orange banner outside, which probably means it's an HJ-only place. Door to stairway on ground floor was locked, and I didn't bother to try to get buzzed in.

3) NJoy Spa, 162 Madison Avenue, is very discreet - no outside sign, not listed on the ground floor directory board. This is the place that offers the 2-girl-for-1 special from 11 p.m. on, and some previous posts have hinted of activities beyond an HJ.

However, there is a new spa, "Sun Spa" on the 2nd floor of this same building, with a big sandwich board sign outside on the sidewalk.

4) Fun Spa, 36 West 33rd St., 3rd floor. No indication downstairs that this place exists; in fact, the door on the 3rd floor has a different name "Aum Mahni" or something like that, on the outside of the door. While I stood on the 3rd floor landing looking confused, the door opened and a 45-ish Korean woman greeted me. I asked if it was Fun Spa and she said yes. House fee $70. The woman may have been attractive 20 years ago but has a pretty beat-up face now. Did not see any other employees. I muttered an excuse "I thought the house fee was $60, I have to go get more money" and left.

5) Herbal Fairy Spa, 296 5th Avenue, between 30th & 31st, 5th Floor, 212-268.3688. No outside sign, but there is a sandwich board sign in the small lobby. I did not go upstairs to check this place out, and I'm not sure what the story is here. Although a monger mentioned this place here on USA SG not long ago, the website at www.herbalfairy.com makes this place look respectable.

6) The New Ginza Spa, 286 5th Avenue, between 30th & 31st, 6th floor, 212-629-1054, very noticeable sandwich board sign outside on sidewalk. House fee $70. I did check this place out. Both the woman who answered the door and a masseuse in the background were mid-40-ish Korean woman, short and dumpy looking. Has the feel of an HJ-only place, similar to Han Yang and some of the other spas on my list.

However, their web site at www.ginzaspa.com mentions that they are open until 2 a.m., also that outcall massages are available up until 2 a.m., so maybe more than HJ is available? Based on the two ladies I saw, however, I wouldn't be interested in FS with either of them. Their home page has a great photo of a topless young beauty; trust me, she's a model and doesn't work there.

tried out Heaven 15 w. 17th. Got half hour for 50 (70 for hour). Decent experience, but not enough to go back often, which is too bad because ideal location for me. Pleasant atmosphere and clean. While in midtown on business, I took a lunchtime diversion to CTA Spa on 49th St. The place is located about 5 floors up a dingy stairway and looks like it was put together overnight.

The massage was only $45/hr, and it was pretty good. The masseuse wasn't hot by any means, but she was decent looking. While working on my ass and legs, she managed to get my blood flowing to the right areas. However, she then announced that she was finished and quickly left the room for me to dress.

I checked out an AMP/nail salon at 206 W23 St. 2nd fl. Only saw one of the masseuses, she was a little older than I like (at an AMP, what a surprise) and her English was a little too good for my liking, but she was little, thin and had good technique.

$50 for the door for 1 hour. She tried to get me to have a TS that would have cost an additional $20. Here's my report:

I went to 98 Madison last week (Thursday?). The guy brought me downstairs and showed me the lockers, shower and offered me the steam room. I was the only guy in the place. I enjoyed the steam for 10 minutes and while I was showering, a tall women with dyed red hair came down. Got to try both locations on a short trip to NYC.

Both places are very nice and have top notch facilities. Nothing more than HJ from either place, but for some reason I felt like a couple more visits with the same girl may help. The neighborhood for NY spa is definitely nicer.

Prices:
NY spa was 70 door + 30tip
West Garden was 80 door + tip(40)

I got a much better massage at West Garden, Saw Lisa. She was early 20's and a solid 8 on looks. My friend had the opposite experience so I assume it all depends on who you get.

I hit some place today, I think it was 168 Madison, maybe 162. The signs are obvious.

Anyway, the rate for a table shower and massage was $70. I thought the massage girl would do the TS, but no such luck.

It was an older Korean woman who neglected to lather up Hank. She just pored warm water on him. I was a bit disappointed. She didn't even wash the chocolate star.

AMP on the 8th floor is run by chinese lady in late 30s.

Annie was the "less attractive" girl. I wish I remembered the other girl's name, but I'm sure if you go there, you'll be able to spot her. Well, I returned to a place at 303 Fifth, between 31st and 32nd. Found the place on a Web site a few weeks ago, and after working OT for the past week, I decided that since I'm without a car, my body deserved a tune-up.

I have gone to NY spa 3-4 times. Also a friend of mine has gone twice. Rates have now been upped from .7 to .8 (which is high). Since they don't advertize the rates, I wonder if they charge .7 to some and .8 to others. I just don't want to haggle with other people listening in and accept the .8.

I was in NYC for a few nights last week and decided to sample one of the many places I've seen reviewed on this board. I'll not bore everyone with the chain of events that finally lead me to visit Yang, however, I will state for the record it was not my first choice. I arrived around 11pm and was offered $70 for the hour or $100 for the 1.5 hour. After opting for the hour I was taken by a reasonably attractive woman to the "locker room" where I was given a locker and key that at least on the surface is a nice service (although the security of these "lockers" is truly comical). Anyway, after changing I was placed in the steam room, which was easily 125-130 degrees. After about 10 minutes of unrelenting perspiration and a growing sense of respiratory distress I had to get out before having this experience end in cardiac arrest and endless humiliation.

After the steam-room-of-death I was given a table shower with absolutely no contact whatsoever with any region that might lead to the belief this was anything but a straight massage place. My friend and I went to Gold with a pre-scheduled appt. for 2 people. Naturally, I made sure to get Mimi for myself. My friend Sam got another young moderate looking provider (don't have name unfortunately).

I visited NY Health Spa on Sunday. It was my first visit to an AMP (although I've been to a number of MPs in Toronto). So, I will describe my experience from a first-time perspective for the benefit of any other AMP newbies. And of course, if any of you veterans wish to provide your perspective on whether my experience was typical or not, I would certainly appreciate your input.

The spa is located in a nice building. There is no buzzer. You just walk in and there is a door immediately on your right that lead downstairs. When I walked in, the attendant at the front desk greeted me with a very friendly smile, walked around the reception desk and guided me directly into the locker room area. Based on some earlier posts, I heard it is a good idea to call ahead of time, which I did, but in my case I didn't even have a chance to mention that I had called, before I was already inside. I don't think they were very busy last Sunday afternoon (Labor Day weekend).

The facilities are very nice; I was quite impressed. Beautiful hardwood floors; nice lockers; very clean. The receptionist was very friendly. She was in her early 30s, attractive and tanned. She wore an all black pants and top, that showed off a nice ass.

She guided me to a locker and instructed me to take my clothes off. As I was doing this, she got a towel and some sandals. When I was ready to take off my underwear, she held the towel open and wrapped it around my waist. I put on the sandals, grabbed the robe that was hanging in my locker, and then locked the locker. The receptionist asked if I would like to take a sauna, which I did, so she escorted me around to an open shower area with two doors: one for the sauna, and the other for the steam room. I opted for the steam room and she asked how long I would like to spend in there. Not knowing if this time counts against the massage time, I said 5 minutes (does it make a difference how long you spend in the steam room / sauna?). She then said the massage lady would come to get me. After about 5 min. the steam room was just starting to get steamy, when a second lady opened the door. I wasn’t quite ready, so she indicated that she would come back in a couple of minutes. She was probably in her mid 30s and was pretty attractive in the face, with a pretty decent body and nice sized tits. I was somewhat relieved to see that she was attractive. Her name was Sunny (soonie) When she came back, I followed her into another room with a large vinyl padded table, a shower head, and a large trash can full of water. Chuckled at your last sentence. One of a mamasan's jobs is to spread out the business so that every girl gets at least some business. Regarding your first report, about NY Spa, your experience was very typical of most of the AMPs in Midtown Manhattan. That was about the best that you (or any non-Korean first-timer) could expect to receive at most of these places. By the way, it looks as if you acted exactly the right way, including stripping down quickly at the beginning, and placing Sunny's hand directly on your little friend so that she'd get the message.

Regarding your visit to the Gold Spa and the Mimi switch, unfortunately there was not much that you could have done about it. One choice was that you could have gotten up and walked out, but you probably would not have gotten a refund of the house fee. Or, you could have gotten up, wrapped a towel around yourself and gone to look for the mamasan and ask to be given the real Mimi, saying that you'd be glad to lie down on the massage table and wait for her. I'm not sure if this would have worked or not, but you certainly would have gotten their attention.

I have had it with the hj amp scen in NYC. I like a good massage but at most thats worth 60 the end is the a of the amp ;). I know I rant but here is why.

Last friday I need relief and release so I called a few numbers from amps listed here and other boards. It was 10:30 so I didn't expect much but wtf right? I called to find out if they had a locker room, shower and what the hourly rate wast. Well most momma's were irritated that I asked about locker room...a few even said "my girls no steal". Ok I can see that here is a lang and cultural barrier here but whatever.

In total I called 10 places, none had locker room (remember it was after 10 so the ones I knew had them were closed) and 3 had a shower. Cool we were getting some where. Now 8 out of 10 asked for 100 beans!!! I think these places are either run by the same crew or are associated in some way. Its too much of a coincidence (sp?) that they all raised there prices around the same time to the same amount.

Who knows why. It could be the cops want a bigger payoff ot the lawyer fees went up but its too shady. You know what...they will get away with it too. Too many fools out there waiting to be fleeced. Some places may see a temporary dip in business by our not seeing them but over all they will get the asking price.

There are a few places left to try so I hope we all start to take one for the team and find them. One warning there is a spa call big apple or just apple behind port authority (I am not sure if they are still open) that absolutley sucks. Hey guys,

Coming to N.Y. and i am interested in checking out some AMP... blah, blah, blah, you guys know the routine.

But i'm hearing too much smack on the gold spa. I was there last year and that place was just like the ones i've been in Hong Kong, thats why i liked it so much. Now i'm willing to "help out" the locals by boycotting the place if need be... cause gas prices are a hard enough pill to sallow that i don’t want the other kind of pumping to go up on price either.

If you guys think of another place we should start hitting, please post it, i would be happy to contribute.

This morning I went to Gold.The atomsphere and the services that were excellent.Mimi was available and she did everything that was advertised.I started with a a hot shower and then we went to the room where she displayed her skills orally. Went to Gold last Thursday. June asked for the $100 and I said no way. She showed me a sign in sheet with everyone else paying $100. So what.. I'm not paying the $100. She agreed to the $80, but next time $100. Sure, next time. Next time I'll offer the same $80, or walk out to one of the 10 other places within walking distance. If a good massage if the first priority, try the place above Subway sandwich shop. On Madison & 33rd? I think it's 167. The women here are fair, and don't offer more than a HJ. There are curtains that don't offer much privacy and no table shower.
Another place I've had a good massage, with better looking ladies is Heaven spa, 15 W 17 or 17 W 15. More private with rooms, I don't remeber if there was a shower or not, but certainly a place I would go again.

I for one have been not only boycotting Gold but also letting them know of it as well. I have purposely gone (I work 2 blocks away) there twice in the last 3 weeks, asked the price, expressed my dissatisfaction, purposely mumbled that there are better cheaper places around, and left. The mama did try to get me back from the elevator by saying that $75 would do for this one time, but I even refused that saying to her that chinatown is filled with better places at $55, I'd rather go there. Then to make this authentic, I sent a fellow monger there last week and he followed my script too. I do suggest that a few more mongers do the same there. I'm hoping if they start seeing a trend of returns, they will fix the prices back to normal. Until then, Jersey is the place I've been mongering at.

One more thing--- The original base price was $60 and even if you tipped $40, it was still a total of $100 which seems moderate and reasonable (not cheap but not ripping you off). even at $75 or $80, it is still very high if you factor the tip...all these places need to recognize that fair value for a light massage and some roaming shouldn't be more than a $100 total experience. Anyone paying more is doing a dis-service by driving up the market.

Everyone needs to believe that WE DO HAVE THE POWER, and can control the inflation as soon as it starts. Mongering is a close knit community, and almost all of them are here. If that was not the case, then there would be a bee line at gold and other places everyday for their 2 or 3 rooms. This is the place where we can come together, and show them who is in control.

All Mongers, Please join in with the revolution, and start refusing services where entry fee is more than 60, even other places besides Gold. Lets spread the word as far as possible, and make this a fair deal for all of us.

That would be $600 a day in gross income for the mama whose responsibility is answering the phone, and counting the moolah, besides watching tv. : Gross monthly income: $18000 per month (30 days, not even 31)

She spends say $200/month on laundry, $300/month on miscellaneous, $500/ month plus 'benefits in kind' to keep LE at bay(assumption), $3000/month for rent, $500/month on oils and related condiments!, $500/month on electricity and water and cable for her tv:

Gross monthly operating expense: $5000 (this is a generous estimate, if I were running this business i'd probably cut this amout by half)

Assuming she gives a $20 cut per client to the girls, for the 300 monthly clients:
Gross salaries : $6000

Take home profit for mamasan, : since this is all cash and no tax involved: $7000/month for watching tv. Not bad eh?

Conclusion: At $60, the price would be more than fair for the mamasan.

Using the same assumptions of 300 clients per month, and $20 per client cut from the house, thats $6000. In a fast house ie. Nirvana in CT. On an average day they will do 60-80 customers X 30 days. Other places Like Callow Hill in Philly will do more 100+. This info is from reliable sources, not pulled out of a hat. Even the crummiest amp does 12-15 customers per day on average. This is not the 80's/90's as we all know. Times are tough for most of us yet The amps continue to stay in the Black.
