The area between aptly named John street and Waller is always good hunting. 9th and Waller by the RR tracks should find you something most hours of the day.

Business took me in So Ohio today and I decided to stroll through Portsmouth to see for myself what is going on in the area. I was amazed at the number of girls walking the area with very little LE presence. I remained in the area for about 2 hours just checking things out when I saw a small blonde walking down 52 almost to New Boston.
I was taken aback at first and thought she might not be working. I just smiled as I passed and pulled over about a block or so ahead. She came up and asked for a ride. Very attractive blonde, around 30 yrs old, very sweet personality and seemingly intelligent. Her body was tanned and tight. She stood about 5'3'', maybe 110lbs and small perky breasts. The 8th street stroll has been completely shut down by LE. Detectives are walking the streets to curtail prostitution and drug activity.
This information came to me from my friend Natalie this evening (Thursday).
Some of the girls have reverted to the old stroll on 9th and 10th streets between John Street and Findlay Street.

It was sometime between 11 and midnight. I don't get to Portsmouth that often, either. It's kind of hit and miss - depends on how busy uncle LEO is and better luck seems towards the end of the month.

I was lucky enough to make it to Portsmouth a couple of days ago. I hadn't been there in over a year, but last time I was there it was very active. And the girls last time were actually very pretty. I was surprised to find that the activity level has decreased substantially (I only saw 2 in 2.5 hrs), but very pleased to see that Portsmouth still has some beautiful girls. Portsmouth is my favorite place to cruise. However I rarely get there nowadays so I wasn't sure what to expect when I went there the other day. I wasn't disappointed. I saw several girls out. Portsmouth Daily Times - Police Report Successful Sting Operation
Six women and two men have been arrested by Portsmouth Police after an undercover sting operation targeted prostitution overnight Wednesday in the east end of the city.
Undercover male officers made arrests when they said they were solicited by women, and undercover female officers made arrests when they say they were solicited by men.
“It has been there in that Seventh, Eighth and Gallia and Campbell area here in the last two or three years,” Portsmouth Police Detective Sgt. Jim Charles said. “It always used to be down around John Street. They’ve all moved from there and they’re all up in the east end.”
Charles was asked why his office chose Wednesday night into Thursday morning to begin the sting operation.
“Because the weather is getting nicer we’re seeing an increase in girls who are working streets,” Charles said. “So this is just to get a jump-start on trying to limit their exposure. We decided to make this the first of many upcoming sting operations.”
Charles cited the assistance of the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office in making the sting a success.
“They all have court dates and they will all face mandatory HIV testing. Should anybody test positive for the HIV virus, any subsequent arrests will become felonies,” Charles said.
Portsmouth Mayor Jane Murray was complimentary of the work done by law enforcement in making the arrests.
Murray said she had been talking with the Police Department about more active work regarding prostitution in the east end.
“We have received numerous complaints from residents,” Murray said. “I’m pleased the Police Department has put this high on the list of priorities.”
Murray said her office will be holding the first of her town meetings later this month, and she said the topic will be drugs, prostitution and crime in the city.
“We have residents who are continually telling us and calling us about these problems,” Murray said. “So the Police Department is trying to respond. It’s a difficult problem that involves all manner of social issues and the courts. And I would also like to extend thanks to (Municipal Court) Judge Steve Mowery for his response to this. We have to have a coordinated effort from our law enforcement, and our prosecution, and the courts, so it’s a first step, but we’re going to be trying to make a concerted effort in helping our residents.”
