just wondering if anyone has any info on the sw action these days? division near alger, burton, and wealthy used to be good, along with the street just to the west of division south of the stadium. also, as i have been ripped in gr several times, can anyone suggest a nice white sw? i like the basic gfe

Burton Heights is on Division for about three blocks south of Burton. Find the intersection of Division and Burton (south central GR). SW's are usually seen along Division in this area, either side of Burton, but more commonly on the side streets and in the parking area behind the stores along Division one block south of Burton on the west side of Division. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes not. It seems to be feast or famine, depending on police activity. Undercover cops are common, and sting activities have been reported - there were news reports that two off-duty cops were caught in a sting here!
Division Street update: It looks like the law is laying off the SW's for now - maybe due to the bad press they got when a sting operation busted two of their own. The girls are comming back out, and the cops seem to be ignoring them, although I did see them jack up a guy who appeared to be pimping his girl. Based on an earlier discovery that there are girls out in the early morning hours (see earlier post), I tried it on a Friday morning. First cruise down Division wasn't productive, but on second drive through I saw two girls on Pleasant. Went around the block, and they were in a car by then, but flagged me down. One jumped out, did the usual cop check, and got in my car. Nice looking, slim white gal, about 25-30, dressed nice and looked clean and healthy. She confirmed she was on the morning "shift", starting at 5 a.m. Her girlfriend, an attractive tall black girl, was also working. After a bj, she gave me her phone number and address, and I did call her the next day and had another short date with her. Good service, friendly, but she has kids and couldn't stay away from home very long. While in town, I also picked up a young SW in Burton Heights, and that turned out to be a mistake. LE has come up with new gestapo tactics. A major sting south of Burton on Division to 28th st. came up with 78 arrests in three days Sept 14th. This pushed the action up on Division between Franklin and Wealthy. LE didn't stop, picked on any woman walking alone as a "suspect". Girls went to the side streets of Pleasant, Buckley, Logan and Sheldon E. of Division and hung out there from 5am to 7am, trying to blend in with the bus riding crowd. Clients learned to cruise the backsteets and to pick up the girls fast.
Now LE has specific patrol cars crusing a 20 block area between Division, Wealthy, Jefferson, and Franklin. Their job is to literally tailgate any "out of place" vehicle (not a JUNKER) going through the sidestreets and bust them for ANY traffic infraction (failure to signal, license plate tabs, etc.) or pull them over and interrogate them as to their purpose in the neighborhood. Of course, the scare lecture comes into play here! This brings a whole new dimension to the term "pigtail"... LE is out in droves now in this area between 5am and 7 am.
What's left of the girls are still struggling to make a go of it. They've started to walk in tandem with their boyfriends, pimps? (almost always black). He'll hang back about 6 ft while the girl, briefly struts her stuff on Division. LE shows, black dude suddenly walks next to her boy-girl friend style.
So things have gotten much more complex. Looks like there are some quality providers out there but hooking up is very difficult.
It is rumored that the GRPD won a $1,000,000 grant from the state to crack down on prostitution in Grand Rapids. This rumor comes from one the SWs, so it may not be the most reliable source. Apparently, they have sufficient funds to support all kinds of new operations. I have been watching carefully over the past three months and this is what I have seen:
1. Sting
When: August Time: 11 PM - 2 AM
Where: Andre Street & Kirtland; behind the Executive
Massage located on Division (Burton Heights)
Operation: Three white girls, blonde, redhead, brunnette
parading in the parking lot on a Sunday night.
Outcome: Van was seen at 2 AM collecting johns.
2. Sting (aledged)
When: August (maybe ongoing) Time: 5-12 PM
Where: Franklin & Division to Sycamore & Division
Operation: SWs under loose supervision of female officer
coaxing johns to break the law.
SWs description: 1- white, blonde, Shoulder-
length; 1- white, black hair.
In August, I took a survey of active, or apparently active, SWs on Division. I checked at various times, including early morning, afternoon, and late evening. I counted 6 white SWs and 11 black SWs, some may have been TVs. I monitored LE activity. I counted 5 cars in the area and two undercover cars, plus one van. At least 2 cars are moving on Division at all times so I suspect the others are monitoring activities. If you see a SW, chances are she has already been spotted.
The pimp situation is very nasty. I gave one girl a ride home when I saw her crying and shaking. Apparently, she has a drug problem (don't they all). Four black guys, alledgedly kidnapped her and took her to the motel on Division and Alger. She was drugged and used for four days around Labor day. If you see a tall blonde, about 5'9" tall, with long blonde hair and a medium build, get her the hell out of there. She said her name was "Casandra." I dropped her off near Broadway and 11th. Granted she has a drug problem but nobody deserves what she got.
Anyway, the bottom line is don't trust even the SWs you know. They may be working for the police. As for that knock-out babe you saw strolling Division, forget it. Her panties are blue!

I guess I may sound a little too enthusiastic, but she is a rare find in Grand Rapids. A town known for little or no excitement. I am not kidding that I've seen Ladies of her class & caliber charge more than twice what she does. Are there things that you may not like about her? sure, each guy has his own particular tastes. Futlong: Division Street is where the action is, and sometimes that can look bleak. The best time is early in the morning, between about 5 and 7. There seem to be a few SG's then catching the "going to work" crowd. Other times are hit and miss. Cops and sting operations tend to be active in the prime hours between 8 and 10 p.m. SG's don't normally stand on street corners on Division the way they use to - look for girls walking, often on the side streets next to Division, and sometimes walking with a guy.
I've not had good luck with black SG's. Tried several in GR over the years, and all but one tried to rip me off (take the money and run without service). The one was exceptionally good, however. As for white SG's, I had my first "rip off" on my last visit. Other than that I've always gotten what I paid for.
As for the rip-offs, it's a tough call. I like to offer the money up front, and this works well with "honest" hookers, as it puts them at ease. But there's always a risk an SG will find an excuse to get out of the car with the money before service. One thing I've learned: if there is a second girl involved, it's going to be a rip off. If the SG says "can we give a ride to my friend?" it's time to cut your losses and bail out. Talk of a three-some have never panned out for me, at least in Grand Rapids. Another strategy I learned: hang on to your money "until we're sure no cops have followed us". Some girls (the black SG's are good at this) will start talking about cops watching us as soon as they get the money. Try taking them to a quiet place first for business - chances are they don't go - they would rather stay in public areas in full view of the cops in order to work that angle.

I stopped cruising South Division years ago. Two reasons really
1# the LE have increased
2# the number of women have dramitically dwindeled and are noticably less attractive.
In the late 80's and early 90's it was active and prospects were good.

I have used Tpoze twice and the results were mixed.

The dancers in the GR topless clubs seem to uphold club rules and protect themselves in the process. The clubs can get into considerable trouble if LE determines that prostitution is taking place, so they deter such activity. The girls make enough money just dancing and collecting tips, so they don't have much interest in outside work - it's not even common for them to join customers for a drink as is the norm in most of the world.
One exception is the 8 Ball in Cadillac. On a slow night it's rather easy to get a girl to join you for a drink. Once she sits down and talks, then you can politely inquire if she ever "dates" customers. Her first response will likely be no, especially if you're new to the club. But I know from personal experience that some of the dancers are available for take-out once they get to know you. When it comes to specifics of how much for what service, this is where you have to take a chance, as they are not going to discuss this in the club. Take some cues from body language, notice how much she touches you (if at all) and pick up on clues in her conversation. Once I had this dancer tell me she needed to earn $150 for a car payment - and we weren't talking about "dating" at the moment - so that was the clue.
Generally, the smaller the club, the more likely you'll find personal attention (but not necessarily better looking girls).

Thought I would finally enter the GR board, usually I post internationally. On occasion use SW's in GR. Went out morning of 7/27 from 2:30am-4am and cruised. Didn't see much of anything. I used to live in GR, but have migrated North. I come back to visit every summer, but hav noticed that over the last few years, the SW scene has almost evaporated... and tons more LE on the street. The old circuit from Fulton and DIvision to 28th and Division just doesn't have too many out. And some of few who are, are likely to rip you off.

I had to be in GR last weekend and knew that I would have some time free in the afternoon. There are a lot of indies that work out of GR. I suggest you look at scorpsguide if you want real escorts that won't steal your money or not street girls.
