Thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately, I'm a glutton for a little danger, so I'll probably check out the LE infected area anyway just to scope out their alleged operation. I always feel sorry for the poor guy they manage to snag with their absurd deceptions. I begin to worry that some day I will be that guy as I suspect that some night I will fail to be as alert as I should be and in a moment of sexual desperation I might take that chance on some buxom babe who would normally look out of place to wary eyes. Woodsix - now that place was something special. When it was open, it could not be beat. They had some of the most beautiful black women in the country who were down for whatever. And they weren't golddiggers. Truly amazing. Haven't seen anything like it since, in the Detroit area.

There are a couple of places in Detroit that try to mimic what WoodSix used to be, but they are just sorry pretenders to that throne. Plus, no way am I listing them on a public forum. LE is crazy right now in Detroit.

I would agree with Boogers opinion that no one has reserected the Wood-Six since its bust.... there was an attempt or two to start an after hours club by some of their former dancers and then I lost touch with them.

Did know that one or two of the Dancers there were also working at Hot Tamales on 8 mile, one or two were rumoured to go on to La Chambre on Telegraph/ 96, and it was rumoured that some of them were working Sunset Strip on Michigan. As I haven't been to any of these bars, I can't say if this is the case: I find it hard believing some of the Wood-Six dancers could _get_ a job working at a club other than the Wood Six, and now they've got about 4 or 5 years of time and gravity since that time. But you may want to try any of these strip clubs and look for the freakier HO who might be just a little heavier and older then her sistas, and see how far it goes.

I did hear that the Brass Key on Livernois about 2 miles N. of Michigan or so was supposed to be a really crazy place for some freaky-ass dancers, I have my reservations about going there though- and this white boy NEVER fealt a problem being at the Wood Six. Turning on there lights gave attention to the situation. After learning I was about to be arrested, I got MAD. I asked for a supervisor and I lucked up brecause he was in the next car rolling up. In about 2 minutes
the Supervisor apologized, and told the officer in a very direct way, he could NOT do what he did. THE SUPERVISOR LAID THE LAW DOWN TO THIS OFFICER RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF US.
It could have been an act, but I really was scared. Turns out they were in the area because a man they want was suppose to be in the area. AND NO THEY DID NOT THINK THE MAN WAS ME.

I rolled through Mich. Ave on 06/29/2002 Fri around midnight.

It really was popping over by Michigan Ave and Livernois. The first side street further west past the southwest corner of the intersection.

There were a bunch of FINE SW's 7-9's no ugly ones at all. I saw about 10 in the one spot. no blacks when i was there a bunch of latinas and a couple white ones.

I thought it must be LE, but it wasn't. I am experienced and followed all the safety precautions.

E: I hate to say it but if you have NOT cruised Detroit streets looking for pussy this is the wrong time to start, at least not until after the November election. From everything I see, LE is out very heavy and their are stings- unless you know how to cover your butt you could end up forfeiting your car, some big bucks, and some possibly a few of your free hours.

Thanks for the advice. I just read it today but actually already scored yesterday. I found a street that runs right into downtown. I never looked for the name, but it was a very very long street and you could see the ball park from it. About a week ago (a month after this last pick-up) I went out there again, hoping for that same ass (such a great little fuck, btw). Of course, couldn't find her. I'd only been on Mich for about ten minutes when a cop pulled behind me. I turned down some road, can't remember the name, and he left me alone.

I waited 20 mins then headed back. Cops were everywhere (this was a Sunday night, rougly 3am). I spotted two cars pulled over with cops sirens blazing within a few blocks, then another just before the exit to 94. I turned around and headed further east into the city on Mich and no one was about. Finally I saw one gal, this really overwieght black girl, and turned into the street she was at. I asked if she was dating and she just said something like, "Not right now, come back in an hour."

After that I just left. Even the ****** were nervous. I don't know what's going on but suddenly Mich Ave is lit. Don't think I'll be back there for a while.... unfortunately it's the only place I know, to.

People convicted of soliciting a prostitute in Detroit might soon find themselves exposed -- on public-access television.

Wayne County Prosecutor Michael Duggan said Wednesday that he has been working with Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Police Chief Jerry Oliver in recent weeks to create a metro-Detroit version of Denver's "Johns TV," a cable program that shows the faces and lists the names of people convicted of soliciting prostitutes.

Duggan said many of Detroit's prostitution customers -- commonly referred to as johns -- live in suburbs and outlying areas.

The program will let people know that "once you are convicted, we are going to put your name out there, so your neighbors will know, and your family will know," said Maurice Morton, deputy chief of drug operations for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

"If you come into Detroit to get a hooker, the whole world will know."

Duggan said Denver city officials report that the TV program and the posting of convicted johns on the city's Web site have helped cut prostitution solicitation by about 40 percent.

The metro Detroit project will focus on convictions in Detroit at first but could expand to neighboring cities, depending on the project's effectiveness. The plan is to air the show throughout metro Detroit, Morton said. Officials also are considering posting the information on the city's Web site.

Morton said talks are scheduled with area cable officials and police. Detroit cable officials could not be reached Wednesday for comment.

The cable program could begin airing by early spring, Morton said.

"It will run on public-access TV, and we figure the cost will be nominal," Morton said.

Detroit for years has confiscated the cars of anyone soliciting an undercover officer posing as a prostitute. The television show would step up anti-prostitution efforts, said Detroit Police Deputy Chief Harold Cureton.

"We're taking steps to improve the quality of life, and that includes taking a very aggressive stance against prostitution," Cureton said. "We have to take a hard stance on prostitution because it's getting out of hand."

When asked if he anticipated opposition to the plan, Morton said: "We haven't done it yet, so we haven't heard any of that yet. But we don't anticipate many problems."

Kary Moss, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, said, "Obviously we are not going to be very happy about this. We've long ago lost the tradition of public flogging. It's cruel to embarrass people in the public square.

"I would doubt that they have solid data showing that this type of flogging deters future crimes," Moss added.

When told that "Johns TV" became one of the most popular shows ever to air on Denver's public-access channels, Moss said:

"The National Enquirer is widely read also. It doesn't mean it's a good thing to do."

The key is to erase the problem, and television could help, Cureton said.

"I think it'll be a deterrent," Cureton said. "Nobody wants to be on TV. There's an old saying, 'What you do in the dark will come to light.' And no one wants it to come to light that they solicit prostitutes."

Topgun, all I can say about a Deja Vu in Highland park is that it *will not* be the old Wood-Six Theater. My understanding is that DV is building a two level parking garage in back for the theater.
I imagine with the demographics of the area that it will be a more afro-centric club then their standard 'McLapdance' offering, but if you are looking for 'extras' from the girls they probably won't happen in the club, if at all.

I just can't get excited about this. Deja Vu's are soooo.... lame.

State Police are now patroling Highland Park as the city is out of funds for its own Public Safety department, and can't even afford to pay its share for Sherriff Department monitoring. I was in the area last week and saw alot of SW's on Fenkell around 7:00 pm. About 8:00pm they seemed to have went away. Only a few after 8:00pm.

"did the drive" up and down Mich Ave east of I-94 between 1 and 2 AM today...a couple of passes in each direction. Next to the Club Venus, saw a po-po car with lights on, the cop(s) were talking to a SW dressed and done up to the 'nines' (blonde hair, white boots, etc). Another one was standing on the other side of the car. It essentially says that by as early as march, the Mich Liquor Control Commission will institute rules that say strippers in the state's 78 licensed topless clubs will have to be at least three feet from customers when not wearing a shirt. They'll have to be on a stage at least 18 inches high when performing. Also, the strippers will only be allowed to collect tips when wearing a shirt.

The proposal goes to the Secretary of State's office. If the Office doesn't take action against the rules in 15 days, they will take effect.

Not sure what you mean by "sw" with regard to massage parlors. I donn't know of any AMPs in Detroit aside from Sunrise Spa on Grand River (Nearly in Redford). There are a couple of massage parlors in Belleville (From Detroit, take I94 to exit 194 or so- Haggerty Road) There are also some parlors in Flint and Jackson. Ann Arbor is all dried up.

Typical AMP. They were closed for a while but opened up again not to long ago. They charge for the half hour, 45 minutes, or hour. Rates were typical, but as far as I know only manual is offered. If anyone knows different let me know. They also seem to be pretty busy, even on weekday afternoons.

My report on Detroit is a little old but includes mongering for the past year. The whole damn town is almost a stroll. Major stroll areas that I know of are Woodward, from 6 mile north, Cass north of I-75 downtown, Michigan Ave, Vernor in Mexican Town, 8 Mile east or John R and John R between 8 Mile and 6 Mile.

Woodward, mostly BSWs by and at night alot of Trannies just north of 6 Mile, most SWs are 2 and 3s, although just north of the Davison Freeway you can occasionally find a 6 and a few WSWs.

Cass is an historic stroll for Detroit and runs from 75 north almost to Wayne State, mix of BSWs and WSWs, most are 2s and 3s although there are some 5s.

Michigan Ave is the hotest part of the stroll and very fast both with street action, SWs, and LE, been ripped off several times here, but also have found some very good 7s, both blacks and whites.

Vernor in Mexican Town is good action east of the Clark Park, mostly, but some west, some latinos, but blacks and white as well. Most of the SWs are 2s and 3s, with an occassional 5 or 6.

8 Mile is tough, lots of LE, but you can usually find SWs out, lots of stings too.

John R is a good stroll for the daytime, mostly black, but some white SWs, most are 2s and 3s with the occassional 5 or 6.

Almost all of the SWs in Detroit are into crack and alos heroin, so be safe.

The LE situation in Detroit is difficult but if you are watchful not really a problem. The city and county LE are more interested in making busts to get your car then anything else. According to a recent newspaper report, they made over $15 million seizing cars last year. And recently started the Denver program that puts your name and face on local access cable, if you get busted.

There are short stay hotels all over most of the city for $20 for 3 hours, or less.

I am not ever in Detroit, so I can't provide you any specific help, but with your general questions, here goes:
1) Late at night, if a girl is walking alone on a street in a known "zone" by herself, she's probably either a sw or a cop.
2) You can be sure she wants to talk to you (but not whether or not she is a cop) if she meets and holds eye contact with you.
3) Never, ever say anything specific until a girl is in your car. This will eliminate 90% of the decoys.
4) Once she is in the car, she'll ask you if you are a cop. You say "Are you?" she'll say no, and ask you to prove it. if she doesn't ask, you should. at that time she will reach into your pants and you will reach under her shirt. after that, it is safe. Long time reader here. Thanks for all the info. I have made a few posts under another name, but here is my first under this name.

Just wanted to report on my last trip out. I was crusing Michigan Ave mid afternoon on the weekend. I saw some decent talent out there without too much LE on patrol. Oh and one other thing, has anyone ever had any luck on Livernois South? down near 75 entrance? I go for breakfast sometimes with the guys from work(midnight crew) and we often see some around the area and I do not see as much LE as on Michigan.

And on another note, I find it odd when i take my usual stroll down Michigan ave. checking out the market, I always see this one old man not a bum but more like a man with nothing better to do. A few points to consider (and places):

Ranger is correct, bring a passport or birth certificate to Canada. It used to be that they would wave you through the border from Canada, but they are a little more intense now. Not much as they didn't look at my passport when I came through the last time, but why risk getting stopped.

Club I recommend: Henry the VIIIs on Toledo Dix. Take I-75 South to Exit 36. Make a Michigan left (go right then U-turn) onto the main road at the exit. Go appx 2 miles to Toledo-Dix road and take a right. It will be on the right hand side about 1/2 to 1 mile down the road. Not the classiest of clubs, but the contact is GREAT!

That's the problem with afternoon mongering. It's very easy to go from a run of the mill w h o r e monger to an attempted abductor it you're not careful. The bottom line is that I passed on this potential. She was very hot young black girl though.

I crossed the Southfield Freeway and drove slowly in the right lane all the way to the exit onto the Lodge. I've found some SW's under 8 Mile before around the Lodge exit but there was nothing today.

The rest of 8 Mile yielded nothing all the way to John R. I headed down John R to McNichols and saw nothing. At McNichols and Woodward I saw two separate Wayne County Sheriff's cars with different guys pulled over with in two blocks of each other. I couldn't determine whether these were prostitution related or not. Needless to say, there was nothing between McNichols and the Davidison.

North on Woodward to State Fair I saw one Detroit Cop driving slowly in the right lane and no action. I headed across State Fair over to John R and under 75 without seeing anything.

Looks like I was lucky my first time back on the streets. This is the second time I've come up dry. Maybe the warmer weather will bring them out but things have been pretty dry the past few days.

Hey Will, I took the Woodward/John R. 6 to 8 mile stroll too and it was dry as hell. Not one SW in site.
But I don't cruise at nite too often anymore, so if It ain't there in the afternoon, I usually just bail.

I cruised Michigan Ave. this morning and there was nothing at all. Checked out Fort St. and it was dead as well. Maybe it was because of the two LE getting shot earlier. Does anyone know if this guy who shot the LE was trying to pick up a SW when he got stopped? I am back in Virginia now and stopped getting Detroit radio around Cleveland.

Haven't heard why they were stopped but it's quite possible that they were looking for sw because that area is prime for that.

The last one I picked up on Fort said that she was in a relatives car when Wayne County Sherrif recognized her and was going to impound the guys car until she convinced them they were related.

I hit the stroll today, 2/20, on Michigan Ave (normally I stick to the eastdies, John R, 8 mile, Sherwood); however I hit paydirt today. First I sae a Hispanic streetwalker south of Livernois, who seemed to be a 5/6, younger, however she had a large coat that was not too revealing. I made two passes and ultimately passed on her because I thought I may find better. Well, 20 minutes later, (as Emeril states "BAM"), paydirt north of Livernois. I spotted a younger looking, petite, hispanic SW nice tight jeans, blue coat, almost too good, really the BEST I have ever seen. So, the bells and whistles go off, setup, but I quickly look around and had been mongering in the area for 20 minutes and did not see any tell tale signs of a STING operation, so, I looped around passed her a made a nice look, she looked, I quickly hung a right on the first side street past her and around the block I go. I am unsure if this belong in here, but being so close to Detroit I figured maybe. Has anyone had any experience with world spa in Belleville? I think I might take one for the team and go check it out and report back. But just wanted to ask in case someone already has.

It all really depends on WHERE in the Detroit area you are. If you're north near Madison Heights, you can hit the Yoshiko spa on John R for a nice massage and a HJ only. If your west of Detroit, your best bet is to hit the Jackson area for one of thier many AMPS (check the Jackson boards). If your downtown, you really have nothing unless you head over to Windsor. Outcall escorting is LEGAL and with the exchange rate, fun can be had. I wouldn't recommend the massage parlors in Windsor though, they are very hit and miss.

If all else fails, pick up a copy of the Metro Times.

Well Binge, you sure hit my weakness. I haven't found a small sw like that in years. Nice work.

I'm not comfortable on the Michigan Avenue stroll because of all of the LE activity but this gem is enough to pull me over to that side of town.

Since Spring was in the air this weekend I thought the warmer weather might bring out some more action on my regular route. I headed out on Saturday afternoon to see what there was to see.

Every time I do this and come up empty I'm reminded how much work goes into chasing. Anyone who finds a diamond in the rough has earned it.

So far, I'm 1 for 5 since I've been back. These don't seem like good odds but given the current state of affairs, and the cold weather, I'm satisfied with my progress so far.

As for my Saturday ride, I came up empty again. I noticed what looked like a bsw at John R and State Fair - but when I fllipped around to get a closer look she was gone.

I vacilate between swooping in fast so I don't miss a good one and being cautious enough to survey the area and the situation so I don't get hit over the head or arrested for making a mistake.

I continue to err on the side of caution. I'm paranoid, but so far I've only had one bad incident and that was as much my fault as the SW's.

World Spa has had mixed reports. I was there last May and found it to be pretty typical MP fare. I've heard of people paying $200 for FS including the door fee - but I've always held to an "out the door" number of $160 total in all of these places. I seen it posted over and over as a fair price. The one or two times I beat them down to a lower number, I felt the service suffered.

Try Crystal Spa at Haggerty and Huron River Drive as an alternative. It's in strip a shopping center at the corner. Like all Aisan places, the help seems to change but it's clean and I've always had a decent time there. Of course, the help is older and kind of chubby.

After hitting all the metro Detroit places and the better Flint places I'm convinced that there are no young, thin girls that work at these places.
