What did I do Wrong??
Had a phone number for an asian massage place --was on West side as Aria. Moved to East 23rd Street. Here's are some tips and etiquette for you AMP/Spa Visitors looking for extras or for first time visitors. I'm one who prefers the AMPs to the other options because they seem to provide a safe and relaxing environment. I wanted to share some general information in a number of sections and decided to do it here instead as more people are likely to view it and add on. I hope this can help any newbies to AMPs or jog the memory of AMP experts to dish out some tips of their own.
1) Become a Repeat Customer - This seems to be the number one factor. The providers want to make sure you are "not a cop" and once they are comfortable that you aren't, they will more than likely provide extras.
2) Fake Being a Repeat Customer - If you haven't been to a particular place before, act like you have been. Get information about them in the forums for the cities you plan on visiting, or your home town. Find out the going rates for HJ, BJ, FS etc. and have the money handy. Even a little comment during the Table Shower or Sauna such as "this is my favorite part" or something along those lines will make them think you were there before.
3) Get a Business Card - Some AMPs have business cards so you can ask for one on your way out. I have the girls write their name on them so I didn't forget and I could "ask" for them when I go back. Even if they weren't there on my visit, it showed the new provider or mama-san that I was there before.
4) Leave Valuables and Extra Money Outside - Only take in what you need. Some places may want to see your ID. You will need money or a Credit Card to pay. I usually take my cell-phone, keys, and only enough money to pay for what I want. If you don't know what the charge will be, put money in different pockets or hide it in your wallet (behind a photo or something) so they don't see all your money at once. I had one girl looking in my wallet after I told her I was used to paying $100 for FS and she wanted $150. Luckily, I had already "moved" the extra money somewhere else.
5) Get Fully Undressed - Yes, you will be naked. In my experience, the girl takes your door fee, leaves for a minute or more. Sometimes she will ask you to get undressed, sometimes she won't, sometimes she will and you won't understand a word she said. So use this time to take ALL of your clothes off. My first time, I was standing in my underwear and she told me to take those off too. I felt as if she knew it was my first time. So get naked and if the towel slides off, let it. It will show her that you have done this before.
6) Use Provided "Purse" - Many times, you will see a little purse or bag that is there for you to put valuables in. Use it to put your "valuables" in and carry that with you to other areas of the spa. You may go to a sauna, hot-tub, shower, or table-shower. Since you won't have pockets, look for the little bag and carry it with you. If they don't have one, you can ask for one. In some places, you may just stay in the room you were brought into the entire time (no shower). In this case, you will be able to keep an eye on your things. If you are leaving the room and are worried, look for something to carry your valuables in. NOTE: Having your things in the little bag is a neat clue to the girl that you have done this before.
7) Shower Etiquette - Some places offer a shower where you go in yourself and wash. If they don't offer, ask if there is one. Some places take you to a table-shower where they put you on a table and wash you. Some places, the girl will wash everything including your genitals. This is a good thing. Some places may ask you to wash your own genitals and I would advise you to do so if you want them to do anything later. It is not generally appropriate to ask for extras at this time.
8) Enjoy the Massage - It's part of the experience, and the girls usually give you a pretty good massage. If you have a stiff neck, sore legs, or something else, let her know so she can concentrate on those areas. You usually start out on your stomach and she rubs your back, legs, arms, etc. She may brush against you with her crotch, lift up her skirt and sit on your butt, and lean over brushing her body against you. Different places vary as far as touching her, but light brushing on her leg or arm aren't too intrusive and will generally let her know you are looking for extras. This isn't necessary and I usually don't "touch" her until later.

10) Wait to Flip Over - At some point, she'll ask you to flip over. When she does, simply flip over onto your back. You may or may not be aroused at this point. 11) The Tip - The girl will usually ask if there is anything else she can do for you or if you are "OK". This is where you say what you want (HJ, BJ, FS) or make the HJ, BJ, FS "motions". She'll either say how much or just ask you for money. This is where knowing the going rate is handy. It's usually $40-$60 for HJ, $80-$100 for BJ, and $100-$140 for FS. Keep in mind that you can always negotiate and it may vary depending on where in the USA, or world, you are. She may leave for a minute or two or she may just start right there. It sucks if she leaves and a million thoughts run through your head.
12) The Fun Part - When she returns (or starts), it's generally acceptable that you can touch her. She may or may not like you to and you have to respect her individual level of comfort. I've had girls get completely naked, sit between my legs, and give me a HJ as well as one that stands there fully clothed doing it. I can't predict what will happen but this will affect your decision to return or not return. If you are getting BJ or FS, she will most likely provide and put on the condom (which I recommend) and she'll start. 13) Variations - If you are into DATY or other things, be up front with it. I've done DATY on a number of girls and some get into it and some don't. This is another area where different places differ greatly.
15) Post Your Experience - If you go and get good service, tell us all about it. We don't need every detail but the basics like name of the place, door fee, tip, and included extras. If you get ripped off at a place, tell us that too and we'll appreciate you "taking one for the team".
16) Be Polite - I use this motto in life, but the providers are people just like you and me, and they like being treated with respect. During the massage, try giving out a compliment such as "that feels nice" or "your hands are so soft" instead of something like "you have nice tits" or "I can't wait to f**k you". I find that being nice goes a lot farther than acting like an ass. Talk to them like you'd talk to a new friend.
Disclaimer: This is just based on my experience in AMPs in a few cities. I don't claim to be an expert. Report: West Garden Spa
I haven't seen a report on West Garden Spa (WGS) recently so I thought it might be a good topic for my first post. WGS is a very upscale message and HJ only place. The price is $80 to the house for a 1 hour massage and the standard tip is $40. WGS is conveniently located near Madison Square Garden/Penn Station. Directions and phone number are available on their web site which is easy to find. Make sure that you remember the address because I don't think there is any kind of sign that says West Garden Spa. You just have to go to the address and they will ring you in. Their web site suggests that you make an appointment which is what I did.
This was my first AMP experience and it happened in November 2003. I read about WGS in other forums so pretty much knew what to expect. When I arrived for my appointment, I told the receptionist that it was my first visit but I was referred by a friend. I was then led to a locker room where I could lock my clothes and valuables. You don't pay in advance like AMP's in Connecticut. I opted not to sit in the sauna and went straight to the table shower.
The table shower was not very good and was given by a short and somewhat dumpy looking hispanic woman. She was folding the towels in the locker room when I arrived so I actually thought she was a cleaning person. Basically it was short and clinical (she used this sponge thing throughout the entire shower and there was nothing erotic it). This was fine for me because I am not a big fan of table showers any way.
Then I was led to the masseuse. She was a cute asian woman in her late 20's to mid-30's, very thin with small breasts and a cute face. She wore tight, white jeans and a Gap tank top. I don't remember her name.
The room was a small room with a real massage table and not a bed. This is because you get a real massage. The only concern about the room is that the door has a small window. I think that this is OK because I think that they are careful not to walk by during a session and when the good stuff happens the masseuse turns down the lights. Never the less, I think that there is no way that you will ever get anything more that a HJ because of the window. I'm not sure if there are rooms that don't have a window but I have not read anything that suggests such rooms exist.
Anyway, all I can say is that the massage was a real and excellent massage. I have no idea how long it lasted because since this was my first time, I was scared out of my mind (but in a good way). In response to Worf, or the previouse senior member as per Spearsman, I want to let everyone know of an AMP on Madison and 33rd st. It's just off the corner on the 2nd floor. I think the name is Spring. They're open 11 am to 10 or 12 pm.
This is a nice relaxing place. The girls are young and polite. I have been there several times, and have recieved a great massage each time. I've ofter gone for 30 minutes and stayed 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The prices are good with an hour costing $45.
The massage areas are only seperated by dividers and a curtain door, so I don't think full service is possible. I don't think a bj is on the menu either. For those interested in AMPs, I've found 405 Broadway, 4th floor, to be a pretty accommodating place. They are open 12pm - 2am and have a large selection of masseuses from China or Hong Kong. The rate is $40 to the house and a negotiable tip.
Each time I've been there I've gotten HR and have tipped anywhere from $25 - $35. I been offered FS but for more than I was willing to pay.

Unfortunately that website does not list a street address for Sushi Spa, only a hyperlink. And when you click on the link for Sushi Spa (www.sushispa.com), you get a message that the website cannot be found. Based on this, I would recommend that you give up on Sushi Spa and try someplace else.
I can recommend a decent HJ-only place - the Han Yang Spa at 10 West 32nd St., which is just east of Broadway and just off of Herald Square/Macy's (read my Aug. 14th, 2003 and early September posts on my two visits there). Had a very sexy fun time with a very pleasant mid-30ish woman named Cindy. Only HJ was available (at least to me, a 50-ish white guy who doesn't speak Korean). $70 house fee for 1 hour plus a $40 tip to the masseuse.

ASSCON vs. Bridgeport CT
Last night I headed to Teddies in Bridgeport, CT after reading some of the posts here. The VIP area is large enough and semi-private and the parking lot is a plus. Had Nikki, a black girl with an average body but a good attitude, overall a 6 in looks. There were other much better looking girls, but I was ready and she offered. I’m from NY and I’ve been to Asscon and DSS several times, but you never spend less than 2 bills if you go VIP. The entry fee, the VIP area fee, the $8 drinks, and a few dances is over 1 bill, and that’s before you do your thing. Also, the VIP setup is horrible. I’ve been cramped on a little bench trying to do my thing with a 50 year old obese dude getting a bj about a foot away from me. The CT joints have a $5 entry fee, $4 drinks and the extras are cheaper than in NY. I’m not a cheap bastard but if I can get the same action for half the price and in a more comfortable setting, I’m willing to make the 1 hour trip.
The only thing that is better at Asscon is the atmosphere in the main bar. Its usually packed tight with ass and also many friendly mongers all having a good time. The night I went, the pool table area in Teddies was packed with about 30 ghetto looking black dudes. I hope I don’t sound racist, but the least I can say is that it is not a friendly type of atmosphere that can be found at Asscon.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
Han Yang features lockers where you store your clothes and valuables, then you keep the key with you - it's on a wristband, so you can wear the key on your arm while you're enjoying the sauna, table shower, massage, etc.
I would imagine that your laptop would be perfectly safe in the locker. One thing I've learned in patronizing AMPs for the last 15 years (yes, since 1989!) is that virtually all AMPs are well-established professional places that would not let their clients be ripped off, because it's bad for business. Of course, you should still be cautious and not foolish. I always carry my wallet and keys with me in the little plastic bag that AMPs give you. But I no longer carry my watch in the plastic bag, I just leave it in my trousers (please note that my watch is a $35 Swatch watch, not a Rolex!).
So while there are no guarantees, I'm sure that your laptop will be safe and sound in your locker. You could even make a show of it, showing the girl your laptop and asking her "Will it be safe in there?" That way they will have noticed that you have a laptop and they will make sure that it'll still be there when you leave.

Go to the keystone instead. I never pay moree than 50-60 for fufl service & there is no house fee mentioned what so ever. The women there range from 6 -9 & are mostly Brazillian & Dominican. There is usaully a good peppering of all races & from all walks of life in there. From Lawyers to Straight up Thugs. Everybody in thes is usually very cool. The establishment cannot afford a ruccus, so they make it clear that there will be no BS of any kind. Be sure to make friends with the bar tenders, as that goes a long way. Also the setup there is much smaller & cozier than Teddies. I never liked Teddies because the girls seem to charge you a 20-30 dollar fee just to go behind the curtain...then they ask you what you want which eventually drives the price up to like 80-90 $$. Again, I never pay more than 50 at the keystone, drinks not included of course.

I'm a first-timer. First of all, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for the excellent comments. With trips to S. America and SE Asia in the horizon; I'm sure going to enjoy reading everyone's advice.
Anyway, I took everyone's advice on Manhattan shade, and I am very happy to report that last week I headed to tha AMP on 405 Broadway and Walker, and had an excellent experience. Here's how it all went down.
Ring up the 4th floor (don't confuse it for the 2nd floor "legit" massage; it's all in Chinese writing, but it's cool). They'll let you in and go up the elevator. Upon entering, the owner (very nice guy) asks you if you want a massage. You do of course, and he gives you a key and leads you to a locker room where you stash your stuff, and then take a shower. You're then introduced to your massage therapist. Mine was #7 and her name was Helen. She was from Shanghai and around 35 years old - a little older than how I like them, but good body and nice attitude (despite the fact that she spoke limited English). I'd rate her a 7. The massages are $40 and for FS add an extra $100. The massage and the lay were WELL worth it. Let her know what areas you want special attention paid to, be courteous, and she'll give you a very nice ball and ass massage. She then asks you if you want a HJ. Long time hobbyist but first time poster here. Thought I would start out with a little report on a new find around the lex area, some comments to the ladies and a little safety tip.

Thursday night around midnight.

Studio-5 has been making a few changes. Many of the changes have been in response to customers' like myself requests.
The semi-privates (I don't know why they call it that as the rooms are private with a curtain) are free-$10 depending on day, time, tide, etc. Privates are 10-20 also depending.
There's a bar with basic stuff nothing fancy. No big deal to me. I drink cognac or whiskey and they have cognac, but strangely no whiskey. I'm going to have to talk to them about that.

What ever happened to the live show booths in Manhattan? There were at least a few around last year and now there is only one on 8th and one in Herald square where live ones can be found. There was a great one on 8th on the east side across from the Port Authority but they shut down the whole block to make way for a new building. It was low $ with no minimum. The ones left are 25 minimum.
