First of all, this question is not "has a sting ever happened, even once?

I'm from Southern California where it seems like there's a sting operation every month.

But I've heard with Vegas's reputation as both an adult entertainment center, and libertarian "anything goes" local culture, stings are only done to pay lip service to national politics (see everyone, we really don't let that stuff go on in Clark County, because this ain't the remote part of Nevada!

I'd like any second opinions on this, thanks.

Most highways / beltways back east are full of cars. Most are speeding. They can only pull over and ticket a small fraction of the speeders. There is safety in numbers. The same goes with prostitution in Vegas. They will arrest anyone they can catch but if you're not stupid about it, the odds are you won't get caught. Never use an escort unless they are well reviewed. As far as casino girls go, you have more to be worried about from them than LE.

So it does sound like they are pretty active then. I'm currently in Thailand and prostitution is illegal here, but a blind eye is mostly turned. From what I heard, Vegas was the same, although based on your post it sounds like LE is more active.

I'm not saying it will never happen but law enforcement goes primarily against the provider. If you play it smart, no car dates, or negotiating with prostitutes out on the street you have almost no worries from LE. The odds are much greater that harm will come to you via the provider or her pimp than LE. If you want trouble free, just get a well reviewed escort to come to your room. It doesn't get any easier than that.

I understand the believe or what you want to be true is not!

LE contacts girls every week and mostly busts the females BUT they do run ads and walk the casino floor to bust JOHNS too!

ITs not as common but it does happen. Use Reviewed girls to avoid going to Jail or worse.

I had a regular client go with a casino girl jumped by 3 black men robbed beaten so bad internal bleeding and hospitalized.

So watch out for cops and casino girls.

As a matter of fact, I have a provider friend that I care a lot about to the point where we don't do sessions any more (but she is a good reference because she is respected). She got popped on some bullshit and I had to go down and pick her up. The freaking desk officer asked me a bunch of questions like I was a pimp. Uh, no! Kept telling me to hang tight, hang tight. Finally let her go. She said there were a few girls back there. She never got charged but it ruined her night and made her ultra paranoid for about a year. I don't blame her.

As propilot would say "watch your 6".

My impression is that LE is more concerned with controlling prostitution and keeping at a tolerable level. One thing to remember is that prostitution arrests is low risk & good PR for the police. The other thing is that newspapers are always willing to publish a news story about sting operation.

With the Vegas area for what it is, there must be some good experienced lawyers in the area. I think those of us who hobby in the area would appreciate anything you can share to keep an eye out for. I didn't notice any mention of a bust in recent previous posts.

Hope all goes well for you.

If this your first arrest the for prostitution the the will let you go to john school and let you off. The only caveat is that you can be charged if you are busted for a prostitution related charge within 2 years I believe. They also issue a restraining order to stay away from prostitution related areas as well possibly. Having to attend a day long guilt trip is worst part.

Your first sentence is key.
