I went ot one of these places once and that was enough. I think it was Sunset Spa or something like that located on Oakton in the grey area between Mt. Prospect, Desplaines Elk grove Village.
Two simple rules:
1. If it seems too good to be true, it is.
2. If they're not Asian and they're advertising in the Sun-Times, don't even bother.
These chicks may be nice looking but if they gave you what you were looking for it would probably suck anyway.
I know, something about them still has an attraction. I guess it's that thrill of the hunt.

I was in Windsor last week - a five 1/2 hour drive from Chicago (plus the hour time difference).

Was out in the Chicago Heights area yesterday(see other areas for that report)but last weekend was on Mannheim. Friday around 7pm I was meeting a friend and saw a ws/w around Fullerton walking south. Turned around and caught up but when I got a good look at her(a real skank)just took a pass. There was nothing alse around during that time. Hey all.

Awhile back I discovered a 1994 Chicago Police Lieutenants Test online. It’s gone now but I kept a copy. Would it be informative to anyone or just useless? It has 150 Questions, and answers, and is 40 pages long. Here is the intro, and a sample of questions.
Are paper and pencil tests the right way to make promotions in a municipal police department?
Do these "job knowledge" tests emphasize rote memorization and ignore the practical skills required for a supervisory position?
Why do minorities typically not do well on written multiple choice "job knowledge" tests?
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires an employer who uses an employment test that has a "disparate impact" to prove that the test is "demonstrably a reasonable measure of job performance." Griggs v. Duke Power Co., 401 U.S. 424 (1971).
For more than twenty years, the City of Chicago has been unable to meet this burden. Since at least 1972, the City has administered promotional examinations that have a severe discriminatory impact on African-American and Hispanic officers. Each of these tests have been challenged in court and judicial decrees have increased the representation of African-American and Hispanic officers to nearly 23% of the lieutenant work force.
Chicago gave a new lieutenants test in 1994. 31% of those who took the test were African-American and Hispanic. Less than 6% of promotions from the 1994 test will go to African-American and Hispanic police sergeants. As a result of the 1994 test, the percentage of African-American and Hispanic police lieutenants will decrease to slightly less than 14%.
A blue ribbon task force, appointed by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, has recently concluded that promotions should not be made solely on the basis of written tests. The 1994 test is being challenged in federal court in Chicago. United States District Judge Robert Gettleman, who is presiding over the court challenge, has ordered that the written multiple choice component of the promotional test may be publicly disseminated.

This area was a gold mine 5 or 6 years ago but has really dried up, find it hard to believe anything there can look hot. Believe me,

TR - like last weekend

Sorry to tell you that Chester's report is right on the money, especially for a short time visitor with no car.
You hotel is not close to much except our beautiful, but probably cold lake shore. Michigan Ave is a couple of blocks west--mainly shopping, and Navy Pier is few blocks east--a tourist place. Very little, if any street action in the area. I don't know of any strip joints at all in the downtown/Michigan Ave area, and definately no AMP action. It's King Daley's top tourista area, so it's scrubbed pretty clean. Only possible chance is an expensive in-call escort, but YMMV and bring a lot of money.
PS: Also bring a coat! Nighttime temp along the lake could be anywhere from mid 60's if you are really lucky, to mid 40's, which is likely. Summer starts along the lake sometime in July!

There are a a couple of strip clubs downtown. I think one is called Scarlet's. Probably not worth the cab fare to go there. I was there about 3 years ago and stayed 10 minutes. The guy made a big stink about me wearing gym shoes. There is also a place over on Kingsbury. Again, a short cab ride. Nothing much there. I think they serve booze, but the girls don't get nude. Try looking up the strip clubs on the USL website. I think the best was Admiral, but that has probably changed for the worse.
Chester is right. Chicago is pretty weak when it comes to these activities. There are no AMP's within walking distance if the hotel is the one I'm thinking of. There are a couple of good agencies if you want to go that route. Check out Michelles, Secretly Yours or Eros. It will set you back around $300-$400.
There was some SW activity not too far near Elm and Division at about Clark street. There was someone that had some luck by walking around that area. (I think his handle was "Walking Around"). I've never seen much there, but you might score with some lonely conventioneer's wife if you hang out in the lobby bar. You are not likely to find a pro in any of the hotels like some towns. I'm not sure, given the hit or miss SW activity if it even is worth it to rent a car. I mean it'll cost you $50/day and chances are you won't find anything worthwhile unless you devoit some serious time to the pursuit.
Forget a rental car - what you need is a time machine to take you back to the late 1970's, when Rush Street was loaded with action!
That is true. Not too much happening on Rush right now, but as it gets warmer Rush picks up later at night. It did last summer.

Posters here have discussed the bars in Harvey and Bobby's in Melrose Park but I think that a bar that is really underrated in terms of the good time you can have is Carl's in Stone Park. This place is really hopping at times after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights with some really hot women. I was there yesterday and a few of the girls will give handjobs with their hands through your pants and I even heard that a black girl was seen giving a guy a blowjob INSIDE the bar if you can believe that on a Tuesday afternoon. However another dancer saw her, reported her to management and she was later caught again doing illegal activity so she was let go. Man, I gotta keep this brief as words CANNOT explain what I saw!! At about 1 this morning I was driving home and was on 79th st. Ugh, sometime I wonder why i bother? I'm going to LA, CA soon, so i thought I would get some practice (unlike here, I heard LA SWs were hot).
So, I was in the gold cost, around 2 am and decided to do the GC run, but soon forgot what the path was. After fighting traffic on rush and division, I decided that it probably wasn't going to happen. Then, i tried North, Wells, and Division and made a circle that way. Hey Chief...the grass isn't necessarily greener in LA. While Sunset SWs are OK, the LE presence there is off the charts. You get stopped on Sunset for looking at a number on your speedometer that's over the limit, much less for going that fast.
The area around Alvarado is full of low 2-3 crack hos. Bad shit, unless you want your dick to look like a burrito in the morning.
My best bet has always been on Century, but again LE is simply swarming. Orange County is better, but that's a long ass haul from LA...and, oh yeah, lots of LE.

Don't take this personal, just take this as a BIG HINT HINT!! I don't get why I keep hearing these sad stories about these people going to try to pick up sw's in old sw tracks, like Armitage, been dead for years, 47th not like it used to be, and North Ave, dead since the beginning of last summer. It's curtains for those tracks, they will never come back unless we get a mayor who would rather focus his efforts on other more important things. Since that's not gonna happen until he dies, life goes on. With that said, I offer a solution that I have brought up so far. I know some of my stuff I said in the past didn't pan out very long. When I reported about the sw's by the JC countryside motel, the next day was dry with a cook county sherriff on property, so that's proof that 1. they can read, and 2. they read this. Now, everyone knows that there is a certain type of recipe for success in the sw territory. They need a neighborhood, not too bad, but not too great either, something just right where people are willing to accept certain things as long as they don't hear gunshots. The neighborhood obviously can't have too many young white people who have had everything handed to them on a plate and get scared when they see any person of color and panic and lock their doors, even if they were driving through hyde park or kenwood, lol. With that said, I found our new Mecca. I reported on this last sun. and I can say it only got better this sun. when I drove past. On 79th st. 2 blocks east of Cottage Grove, there is a hotel that was profiled on the doc. Pimps up Hoes Down called the East of the Ryan hotel. This spot is loaded. It's still wet behind the ears, so people congregate right near the hotel, however people are startin to move a block or two in each direction to stand out. There is absolutely no LE in the area. Since they have moved extra police to Englewood and it's surrounding areas, the neighborhood has been dry. It's a neighborhood of mostly single family homes with a few apts. here and there, it's safe, a sure bet, and had beautiful young women of all sizes shapes and colors. Money is tight for me, I am a young buck who works two full time jobs to pay for full time school, so money is tight, but come on people, stop reminiscing. This is the new spot, go there, get your jollys, and boost your morale as well as this sections morale. I don't wanna hear about a toothless BJ from a crack head on armitage, or i picked up a girl by the tracks who had tracks in her arms, NO NO NO!!! Let's get some motivating stories, get these girls cell numbers before if and when the LE shut down that area, and that should hold us over for a while.

Update - Good news on the bakery.
Drove by and checked the door, which was reported to be locked in a recent post.
It was open. Just like always in the past. Large, empty waiting room,with an inside window.

A fellow hobbyist and I were returning from our real jobs (which had taken us to the far south side) when we decided to venture off on the 79th st. cruise to see what the hubub was about. Now both of us have actually been to the East of Ryan motel for work related events, so we knew of the area. But as my friend said last night, it is looking scarier now. It looks like the kind of place you could go in and not come out. or you might catch something. His words, not mine.
The Chatnam neighborhood is full of middle class black families who could make a stink if the prostitution gets out of hand. And nothing like a bunch of middle aged white guys in minivans to raise the awareness. I have never felt threatened in the hood, but I have never gone on the stroll there either.
At 7 30 last night, I saw lots of people out on 79th street, but no hookers. The hotel looked quiet. Grantburger, I would like to know when this activity is heats up
I hit a couple places last night around 79th and Cicero, and 154th all the way down past 57 but not quite to 90. DEAD other than the drug reps on the corner. I honestly don't know what the peak times are for the East of the Ryan or what other days things go on. I only know that when I get let out early from my casino job, I take side streets home, not the skyway, and I venture down 79th. The past 2 sundays I was let out early, and both times about 1 am, and 2 am, there was SIGNIFICANT activity, however they all cluster together. To me that's the problem, I don't want a bunch of attention when I'm doin my thing, lol. Some people are gettin smart and spreadin out a block or two in each direction. A lot of the same people were there both weeks, and they are dressed in North Ave. type gear. Now with that said, there can be plenty of ass to be had at the casinos. I used to work at Harrah's East Chicago, and there was many hookers up there, and now I work at a competitor which shall remain nameless, to protect my identity, but lets just say I have a great view of what comes in and out of the casino, and there are definately pimps that come in at like 4:15 right before the boat closes to get the people on their way out!! Blue/Grey maybe green, dark painted windows. Small, 8 1/2 by 11 inch sign taped on door, with Welcome or Open in letters about as large as what you see on this post.
Just open the door and walk into the empty waiting room.
Someone will check you out from a side inside window on your left, and if you "look" OK, they will let you in the next door.
Skonsk's report is right on. Lindsay is a much better looker than short little Anna, but I never tried Lindsay. A third choice there is no bargain, don't know her name, and don't want to know.

Illini333 had it right about Mannheim Rd. Today I stopped at the 7-11 at Mannheim and Fullerton and spoke to a uniformed cop I know. He told me the vice squad (county)did a sting Friday night and arrested nearly twenty dudes and towed 19 cars. Bad start to the summer for those guys. For the life of me,I can't figure out how these guys get caught. I've been able to spot a sting without a problem. For everyones info,Stone Park has joined Cook County in running stings on Mannheim,so be very careful in that area. Don't waste your time/money @ (formerly) 31st & Union. After being bombarded w/ new clients, the only finish you might receive is a h/j. Unlike when they first opened - (you got pretty much what you want for $150 including decent 1 hour massage). Things have changed drastically. But, there are other Chinese locations in same area for $150 - F/S. Massage might not compare to 31st & Union, but other places do come handy when needed. So, I thought I would be a good father today and take the kids to the carnival thats going on in the parking lot at Lane Tech HS. Also,the county cops and even Stoned Park cops do frequent stings. I found out the county did none last week arresting around 20 guys. So it is a good area to avoid. I hadn't realized that Fourth of July was such a family night. I went out after 11 pm last night and about half the bars were closed. Had to go out by the airport so I tooled down Mannheim and there were no fashion shows going on. Traffic was really light, almost like Christmas day.
Spent some time on Armitage and North between 2 AM and 3 AM. Not much to report. A BSW near Claremont and North that was picked up in front of me, and nothing on North all the way out to Cicero. And really, it took like all of 10 minutes to drive back and forth.

Everyone, watch out for a STING IN CHICAGO. 2 blocks east of Cicero Ave. on 47th. A thin, attractive undercover Biotch wearing a red bandana at around 9:30 pm. The most reliable indicator of decoys is that they don't get in johns' cars; so for maximum protection against stings, don't mention sex, money, or prostitution euphemisms like "date" or "working" until the woman gets in the car, closes the door, and you begin to drive away. In contrast to decoys, many real hookers will get in vehicles with no prompting or dialogue, and most can probably be coaxed in with a wave, smile, or offer of a ride. Asking the woman if she is a cop is indicative of prostitution loitering and futile anyway because decoys are allowed to lie about that. Requesting the touching or exposing of genitals or breasts is also a violation of loitering laws. Decoys tend to be conspicuous in heavily policed strolls because they stay in a smaller area than real streetwalkers, so as not to lose visual contact with their backup. Real hookers, in contrast, have an incentive to keep moving to avoid the appearance of loitering. Appearance is not a reliable method of differentiating the two because decoys will dress in sleazy clothes, apply cosmetics to give themselves a street-hardened look, and even put phony needle tracks and tattoos on their bodies. Likewise, not all real hookers are sleazily-dressed, haggard, and scarred.
If stopped by cops for circling a known prostitution area, answering some questions is OK, but be careful not to admit (or agree to) that you were cruising for prostitutes, because this could be a loitering violation if you were stopping to talk with pedestrians from your vehicle or even beckoning to them while driving. Don't be overly forthcoming either: The police don't need to know exactly where you work, your marital status, your telephone number, etc. If stopped with a hooker, it's usually best to exercise your right to remain silent (even if she doesn't) rather than trying to explain what you're doing in the area, how you know the woman, etc. It's standard police procedure to interrogate suspects separately, and it's also common for cops to lie to each party about what the other said in order to encourage confessions. Unless you have your stories straight and are a convincing liar, it's better to say nothing and ask for a lawyer. Admitting to a prostitution deal doesn't earn any leniency from most cops, and just makes it more likely that you'll be arrested and convicted.
Never consent to any search of your vehicle. Most street prostitutes use illegal drugs, and may deposit drugs or paraphernalia in your vehicle if the police stop you. With the exception of small quantities of marijuana, cops can seize and auction off your vehicle if any controlled substances are found in it.
Another police tactic is to use unmarked cars to follow vehicles that suspected hookers get into, hoping they'll park in a secluded spot. Then the cops sneak up and make arrests for indecent exposure or lewd conduct in a public place, if nothing else. In addition, some car date locations are well-known and regularly checked by the cops. There is much greater protection from police harassment indoors. The best options are your residence or a motel room you (not the hooker) have rented. Motel rooms are entitled to the same Constitutional protection against unreasonable police entry and searches as homes, so you don't have to open the door or reveal your presence if the cops knock without a warrant. However, the police seem to know that many people don't understand this, and may use a greater degree of intimidation and threats on motel guests or clerks to gain access to a room. There are two problems with going to the hooker's motel room or residence: The risk of being robbed (or worse) by her thug friends, and the risk that the cops suspect criminal activity is going on there, and may show up when you're there.
In addition of being wary of going to the hooker's place, here are some more ways to avoid rip-offs: Move all valuables in your car so they are out of reach of the passenger seat. If you change your mind about a hooker you've picked up, grasp the car keys while ordering her out. Finally, never pick up a hooker walking with a pimp. Most of these guys are hard-core felons, and may jump in your vehicle and rob you or even attempt a carjacking.
When in doubt about how to handle a particular encounter with law enforcement, the best policy is don't provide cops any information beyond what's on your ID, and don't consent to any searches. If they continue to threaten you, ask for a lawyer.

I'd agree with most that was said, except that sometimes the cops just want you to admit to it and will let you go. If you keep lying to them, or 'take the 5th', they can always still arrest you and say you did something you didn't actually do. (welcome to chicago police department.)
What doesn't work is the "what's your last name" trick to pretend like you and the girl know each other. If the girl is a well known prostitute, it doesn't matter.

The police are sometimes accused of using technical traffic violations as a pretext for stopping the car for the real reason of conducting a further investigation that often includes a frisk and possible search of the vehicle. Sometimes these types of stops are allegedly based on racial profiling. Whatever the police officer's motives, however, if the officer had a valid reason to stop the vehicle, even a ticky-tack one like a broken rear taillight, the stop is legal. And, if the initial stop is valid, any lawful frisk, search or arrest that follows the stop is also valid.
By the way, I agree with you Chester about admitting, but only in the situation where you're in the car alone. Once that worked for me. I admitted to not to cruising for women but to acquainting my self with their lovely town (in the middle of the night). This was actually true. Once "I can't sleep." worked too.
