View Full Version : Lots of Backpage Scams Lately. Tips to avoid them

Athough I'm not a Vegas Local, I feel like I am, being there so much on business. The last three times I've been in town, there has been a huge rip off scheme on Vegas BP. I had 15 BP Esc. Out call. In a row visit my room, and none were legit. They were either bait and switch or running the agency scam. The agency scam is when they pretend to be independant, then when they get to your room. And after you give them the 250 or whatever they first claim their rate is, they say that that 250 is just the agency fee, and they ask for 200-300 or more. They know they now have leverage since they already have your 250 or whatever you gave them. The bait and switch of course is when the esc that shows up is not the same one that is in the ad.

Now I'm sure there are some legit esc on BP as well, but here are some of the things you can do to avoid getting ripped off by those who are not.

Just an FYI, I think you can reduce your chances of getting ripped off by sticking with the SW scene (your car. Not going to their hotel), but taking SW to your hotel I would think would reduce the chance of ripoff as well).

On Backpage or CL esc. Outcall - when they come to your room -.

1. Peep through the door peephole and make sure its the same girl as in the ad pics. Make sure to hide your wallet and any valuables or extra cash. The only thing you should have in your pocket is the cash you planned on giving her in the first place.

2. If she is, invite her in, if not, don't even open the door. Even if they start knocking hard or making threats, just ignore.

3. So if she is the girl in the pic, you can invite her in. AND NO MATTER WHAT SHE TELLS YOU. Do not give her the cash upfront (unless you have already seen her before, or you have solid reviews on her from someone you trust) - but you can show her that you have the cash, and you can set the cash on a table or something between you and her. And you can let her know after you are done, she can take the cash!! - Even if she sits in your room for 30 minutes tryin to intimidate you to give her the cash upfront. Just don't do it... If the intimidation gets to a really bad point to where she just won't leave, or she threatens violence from her or her pimp. You can simply call hotel security as the last resort, and have her removed from your room. Remember, just because you invited her to your room from Backpage, and just because she may be wearing skimpy chlothes does not mean anything. It does not mean that you solicited her or anything else. AND ANOTHER THING to remember. Very important. Just because you invited her to your room from backpage or CL. Does not mean you owe her a penny. There is no contract in writing. If she demands the cash upfront, and you say no, there is nothing she can do. Except to intimidate you to giving her the cash upfront. And eventually she will have to leave your room anyway, whether she does on her own or with assistance from hotel security. And don't let them intimidate you on giving them a cancellation fee. The cancellation is their fault, not yours. Don't give them a single penny as you owe them nothing. They may also try to tell you that they will go to your hotel front desk and have the front desk put their fee on your hotel bill. That is simply not true and one of the funniest lies I've ever heard from a scammer or ROB. Unless you book to see a show or something through your hotel yourself, nothing else would be billed to you...One other thing to remember, a lot of scammers will ask you right away if you are a Local or Visiting. You should never admit that you are just visiting. Just by being in a hotel most of them will already assume you are visiting anyway, but you should never give them that impression. If they feel that you are a local, they may think that you will be a regular local and see them often, so they may be less likely to rip off. A Vegas ex-call girl. Turned SW. Actually told me this. But a true scammer probably won't care if you are local or not anyway. Some switch from Vegas to Cali, come and go anyway. But the key is to never give cash upfront.

Now advice on Incalls. Where you go to her.

1. Again, give her the impression you are a local. Don't wear jewlery or have anything in your pockets besides the cash you plan on giving her in the first place.

2. When she opens door, just look or peek around door. Keep door open. To make sure she is the same esc as in the ad picture.

3. If she is, you can go in and have door closed, If not just walk away.

4. So if she is legit and you go in, make sure to ask her if you can take a quick peak around to make sure no one else is in the room. If she says yeah you can, then do that, if she says no or acts like she is hiding something or someone, then just leave.

5. So if you look around and no one else is in room, make sure the front door and all doors, if its a house are locked. If the door has an indoor latch like most hotels do (the one that can only be locked or unlocked from the inside) make sure to ask her to lock the indoor latch too. If she does not want to, then simply leave. If its an apt, or house that does not have an indoor latch, make sure to be extremely cautious, because it could be a set-up and Mr. Pimp could open the door from the outside, and walk in on you while your pants are at your ankles.

6. Then before you give her cash make sure to ask her if its a flat fee, ask her twice (you can also make her aware that you know all about the agency fee scam. And that you don't play those games). If you have seen good reviews on her, or someone else you trust has recommended her you can probably give her the cash upfront. If she fumbles with your questions or does not directly answer them, then just simply leave OR tell her you can only give cash after your done. If you haven't seen reviews on her but she answers your questions directly, you could just set the cash on table between you and her, till your done.

7. I have heard stories of people getting robbed in vegas after going to an incall location. Remember on incalls there is a lot more risk for hobbyists, as mugging set-ups are easier for scammers.

8. But also remember robbery is a serious crime. Some Pimps think you won't report it because you will too embarrased to report it. But also remember this. Just because you call a Backpage girl or CL girl and go to their place, doesn't mean you solicited sex from them or did anything illegal. You could have been there for a legit massage or something like that, it just means you met them on backpage or CL and you were at their place and you got robbed. If you get robbed, You should not hesistate on reporting them and the address that they are operating at. Same as if you were to get robbed at a club or anywhere else. Don't let them get away with it.

I hope this helps fellow Mongers. Have fun and stay safe.

In my experience most SW are legit. I've had far less rip-off attempts from SW then Call Girls. However, There are a couple of things you might want to be careful of when with SW.

1. You still want to keep your pockets empty except of what you were planning to spend anyway.

2. Keep anything valuable locked in your trunk, not in the inside of your car.

3. When you pick up SW. Unless you already know them well and trust them. Never go and park exactly where they tell you to (they may have someone there waiting to mug you). Always go a few more blocks away. Pay attention to them. If they are texting a lot, they may be texting their location to someone else for that same purpose. I've actually had this happen before. She kept texting someone and everywhere we went the same car was following us. So always beware.

4. Depending on if you know them well already or not. Or if you have some good reviews of them or not, can depend if you give them cash upfront or not. Most will probably demand it upfront. If they seem a little suspecious you can give half upfront then half after. I have had a couple SW take the money and hop out real quick, so always be cautious as to who you trust. If you drive to a place pretty far from where you picked them up, they probably won't rip you off because they need a ride back anyway, but you should never be too sure of anything. ?Just be cautious and aware.

Lastly just a quick tip if your going to some of the strip clubs.

1. Never tell the Strippers upfront how many dances you plan to buy, because if they already know your going to spend it anyway, they have no incentive to give you better table dances after the first song. If they are not sure how many dances you are going to buy to begin with, they will probably try to make each dance after the first dance a little better.

2. Never give them the impression that you are just visiting the city. If they think you are a local and a possible regular customer in the future, they will probably give you better dances, especially in the VIP area.

Stay Safe and have fun out there...

Important to remember. The agency fee scam and the bait and switch are two separate scams. And the Call Girl can do it both on OC and IC.

Agency Fee scam is when they pretend to be independant but after they get to your room, or you get to theirs if IC,(and after you give what they request - 250 for example) they will say that that 250 you gave them is just the agency fee, then they try to get 200-300 more from you, and since they already have your 250 or whatever, they have sort of an advantage. Just to note- even if you ask them on phone if the fee is a flat fee or even if you ask them after they get to your room if its a flat fee (or you get to theirs) most of the scammers will say "oh honey I can't discuss any of that until you give me the 250 fee"(then after you give her the 250 fee, she will just say that that cash is just for the agency fee only, and she will ask for 200-300 more. Most of these call girl scammers will think you will get mad and want them out of your room. And they also think you don't want to make a big scene, so you will just give them the 250 and tell them to leave. So they end up leaving your room with 250, for doing nothing at all. And that is the ideal scenario for the scammer. The call girl. Turned SW that I spoke too said that there are 100's of scammer call girls using this same scam and she said most work in groups. Small groups or sometimes bigger groups- and sometimes with pimps mixed in for intimidation. And she said she knew 2 call girl scammers that did this same scam over and over all night long and each made about 2500 nightly and did no entertainment whatsoever for anyone. Just all free scammed cash.

But remember if you set the cash on a table between them and you, and they just grab it without your permission, that is actually theft on them, and you could tell them your going to call hotel security if they don't get your cash back. If they still refuse. You can let hotel security know that someone in your room tried stealing your cash. And go from there. If she went to your room for some simple legal entertainment like a legit massage then stole your money like that, you can simply call hotel security.

The other separate scam. Bait and switch is just when the girl in the ad is not the one that shows up to your room. But that is simple, just peek through the peephole and make sure its the same girl, if not just don't open door, or if its incall, just leave the room.

They may try to use both the scams together or separate. But just always be aware. Although there are some legit call girls. A lot of them are using these scams!!

Stay safe and have fun.

Honestly, all of the nonsense that comes along with the Vegas scene can be avoided by sticking with reviewed girls.

Outside of when I get the urge to hunt out some budget AMPs, I've never had a bad experience with an independent or agency girl, since if I'm spending that kind of $, she's got to have reviews. Hit the forums and review sites, and you'll do just fine.

I agree, reviews can help, but also BEWARE, a lot of these scam artist call girls are very crafty and polished, and some of them may try to use a picture and name of a escort with good reviews. Of course the phone number would not match. So very important to make sure all the review info matches, even the phone number. But even at that, still be cautious because she may be giving herself good reviews or her pimps may be giving her good reviews as well. Just always be careful and aware.

Stay safe, have fun.

Yea, these hos are getting smarter. Good points all around.

One thing with the number not matching, always hit up the number listed in the reviews. Some of these hos are getting smarter, and will just take some girl from like NYC's pictures, use google voice to get a NYC area code and just play it off as a new #.

With girls writing themselves reviews, I'm sure that happens too. You can typically tell if a new girl pops up with some immediate reviews, or if the people reviewing her only have her as their single review and what not.

It kinda sucks doing all the due diligence when you're horny but it sucks even more when you get ripped off!

I mainly use these sites as entertainment to pass time as I feel their all honeypots, but you ever wonder why the successful utr stay utr? Well the smart ones don't reply from a number that's posted all over the internet the number they post is for incoming only same with emails.

Almost every review is embellished or posted for favors or by someone they know for discounts, or by competition.

As they say with every provider YMMV, a good one eventually gets good clients that take care of themselves and don't try to squeeze every second & penny out of the date.

I see a negative review I want to call call her up because now I know she's at least real and 9 times out of 10 is just some disgruntled cheapskate expecting the world for less than 100.

Main thing do your home work 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for but if you want to spend all the time for that 1 out of 10 experience knock yourself out she's not going to be that rate for long as she will eventually learn & her rates will rise & you'll wonder why you can't find her anymore a good one graduates the gutter real soon good work sells itself as they say.

Some of you guys need to look in the mirror if you can't find a good regular its most likely not an issue with the provider you should have 10 girls you can call up at anytime & drop 100-400 on & have an amazing mutually beneficial time.

Acting like scams are hard to spot you shouldn't even need image search by now, I can look at an ad and pretty much tell its a fake pic or scam ad, hint most likely if its a beautiful woman and a cheap price bingo, if its airbrushed or professional bingo, looks like a model bingo, looks like a porn star bingo, if it says upscale elite & she's in a motel 6 or a easy to spot motel bingo, outcall only bingo I could go on but common sense seems to be lacking around here.

Now you want to know what the real ads look like, lots of tats in a motel 6 with a cheap price, bingo real ad, overweight or fat stating bbw bingo, old as dirt stating MILF or cougar bingo, ugly as fuck bingo, but guess what much more likely to be a rip off or waste of time.

Spending time & taking advantage of addicts and down & out girls is not how I enjoy spending my time trying not to judge but damn be willing to spend more than a 12 pack and an extra large pizza with some wings or find a hobby you can afford or just enjoy what you can.The Scammers I have encountered are not bothering with 100, they go for 200-250 and then claim its an agency fee and try to take off with your money. Just a typical agency fee scam. They are getting more creative with their postings, some will use totally phony pictures, but some will also use realistic amateur type pictures. That's why my steps in my below postings can come in handy because they should work one way or the other.

One very important fact which was touched on in the below posts but not made clear: Prostitution is ILLEGAL in Clark County (where Las Vegas is located).

So if you do call hotel security and / or the police, and they ask, remember - You DID NOT EVER discuss the hooker performing a sexual act.

(This is why it's a terrible idea to ever have any explicit discussion of paying for sex via text or email as well - she will use it against you and get you in trouble).

You called her there to give you a (sexy) massage, or you called her there to take nude photos of her.

You never discussed having sex with her. You never offered to pay her for sex.

If dealing with the police, just give minimal answers if they ask you if you solicited her for sex.

Just tell the cop (s) no, I only called her for a massage.

Don't expand on that unless they ask you other questions.

You don't want to end up the one arrested. But you won't be, and hopefully she will be, as long as you are careful what you say.

If she's coming to your hotel, you can always insist on meeting her in the lobby first.
That way if it's bait and switch, or you can't strike a deal, you're not stuck with getting her out of your room.

Man reading some of these posts are kinda turning me off. It sounds like its hard to find CG's that are not scammers unless you already know someone. This will be my 3rd trip there and want to find a CG or a SW I will be there Tues. For a week other two trips were just 2 days. I'm pretty fugly so prolly won't have any luck or get ripped off I hope that won't be the case but with past experiences trying to find a GF. Like this site very informative got some great areas and things to help and I need as much help as I can get LOL well can't wait to read more posts. I will be staying at hooters casino. Hopefully I will beable to rent a car never did before so will see that might make finding a SW easier. Ok enough babbling props to the people here that run this site.

Lily A for AMP is good, and GFLV or VAC for K-agencies are my recommendations right now (K-agencies will pick you up for an additional fee, or if you want to do outcall to your hotel, it's an extra 100). Check the massage parlor and incall in private apartment forums. Happy hunting and stay safe!
