Mexican V... I've been experimenting.

I've never taken Pfizer brand pills, only generic Sildenafil or Tadalafil I've found in countries where it's available OTC (DR, CR, GUA, MEX). My latest buy was a bottle of 100 mg Sildenafil tablets I got at a farmacia in PDC, Mexico. The bottle says Maxifort Zimax. The pills are the same size and shape as Viagra, but pink. I've been trying different doses.

The first few times out, I would take an entire pill, swallow it whole on an empty stomach with lots of water. Brace for impact. I would get full flushed face, sniffles, pulse-feeling in my temples, and slight blue vision within 20 minutes. Seriously, it hit me like a brick. When it came time for action, my first boner would be cast iron, visibly bigger than without the pill, and noticeably hot to the touch. I loved it. I felt like a teenager again! (I'm mid 40's, very fit) Second round of banging was possible after just 10 minutes' rest. Problem was the side effects. A throbbing headache and nasal congestion that lasts 12 hours is a hefty price to pay for that awesome performance. (Day-to-day I don't need help, but with a new chick, or in a situation where I'm planning to fuck 2-3 times in a short time period, these pills put any doubt about performance right out of the equation. Super Hard Wang is going to happen, and knowing that is a great feeling. Zero worrying).

So I started cutting the pills, to see if that would reduce the bad side effects. It did. 50 mg gave me that great bone with a definite reduction in the length and severity of the sniffles and headache. Almost zero blue vision. The other day I took a quarter pill, and I let it dissolve under my tongue instead of swallowing. Tasted like rat poison, but I had the best effect of all. Good hardness, not so sudden and immediate than with the full pill, but definitely the same effect. Don't know if a multiple pop was doable, didn't get the change to test, but side effects were tolerable and didn't last long. I'm wondering now if just a tiny sliver of the pill would do the trick.

Point is, I've found my ideal dosage, instead of going with my intuition to take more than I think I might need, and paying the price. I recommend you all experiment, and dial in what works best for you. Save yourself the misery of worse side effects than necessary.

Does anybody else cut their pills? And does anyone else have experience with Maxifort Zimax? That stuff is the real deal. They make a 25 mg pill, and that's what I'll stock up on next time I'm south of the border.

Pfizer makes Viagra in three strengths: 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg. Standard practice is to start with a low dose, and increase it to achieve desired results. It's common to split pills, but you should check with the pharmacist before you do it.

OM.Wait a second: Pfizer brand costs $20-$25 ... PER PILL? Seriously? That's goddamned ridiculous. And I'm sure one can do better than I did in MEX, price-wise. I wasn't in a deal-making mood, I just plopped down my money at the first farmacia I found.

Jesus, $25 bucks a pill is a fucking rip.

I bought some Maxifort in Mexico a few years ago and it worked as well as Pfizer pills. Of course I've had good luck with all the generics I've ever used including the Asian mail order ones. I get 100 mg of Suhagra for about a buck a pill and it works well. I cut the 100's in half. I would guess taking 100 mg is a waste for a young guy like you, but as Oldmonger said everybody has to figure out the dose that's right for them. When you think about it, it's not a good idea to take more than you need of any drug, even aspirin or tylenol.

Last October I paid about $4.50 per pill for 100 mg Maxifort Zimax. Turns out that's the most expensive of the generics. Pfizer brand pills are available over-the-counter in Mexico. Really expensive, though. Like $12-$14 per pill.

Shopping around I found a huge spectrum of generic sildenafil, tadalafil, Viagra and Cialis, in a wide range of packages, from 1 to 20 tablets, and dosages from 5 mg to 100 mg. In one farmacia, I saw "chewable" sildenafil. All over the counter, no prescription required.

I wound up with 50 pills of a generic called Mazzogran. They're 100 mg sildenafil for around $3.30 per pill. They come 10 to a box, in blister packs of two pills each.

Here's the best part of my research: I conducted a "field test" of the pills with a lovely young lady who advertises her services in the classified ads, and I can report great success with half a pill. The stuff works as advertised. Of course, much credit goes to my gorgeous and very energetic research partner (who also worked as advertised)! I love Mexico.

I'm set for boner pills for a while. When they start to get low, maybe I'll try one of those India-based suppliers.
