I have been very circumspect about putting my real photos on the seeking site, the only ones I provide are actually of someone not me (but similar to me) and have half the face cut off. However, in private texting, after I have spoken w / someone and am pretty sure I want to meet them, I saw no recourse but to provide a real pic. This is one that has all metadata stripped and has never appeared anywhere on the internet, on social media or anywhere else.
I just ran pimeyes on my one real photo I use for sugari. I have a relatively prominent internet presence because of my profession. That website found 7 instances of my real photos online. One of the finds was of someone else. However, if a girl wanted to search my one provided pic, she would get my *real* name and lots more information about me. This would make me extremely vulnerable to extortion, as I clearly mark on my seeking profile that I am married.
The only mitigating feature of pimeyes is that we can use it against girls.

Bots and scammers have been around, and it was well publicized when Ashley Madison had the spotlight on them. They admitted to using employees of the company to spam / send fake messages to users in order to appear they had more members and getting us to renew. Tinder does the same thing. Many scammers use bots / programs in hopes of getting you to send them money and they are in another country at times. There are countless articles online with proofs and examples of this. Sometimes it is done by scammers. Sometimes it is done for the mere fun of catfishing people, and other times it is secretly done by the sites (Tinder, SA, Bumble. , Ashley Madison) in order to get you to keep interested. Keep in mind there is very little regulation in this industry.
In my personal experience, the bot is sometimes obvious as grammar will be bad, the message they will send will not even make sense or stay on topic with the conversation, and its just too good to be true. Lately, I am getting many fake messages, with no ability to follow up with gals on the site (SA). But, yes there are still many real profiles on the site that you can get Far Far Away.

Someone who is trying to get you to buy pix or videos, or really, anything that involves you sending $ to them, without actually meeting up. There are people all over the world who are motivated to do this, and think SA is good fishing ground because 1) the site itself has few ways to be certain who is real or not, because we don't want to be asked to prove *we* are real, and 2) people who get scammed will be embarrassed to report it to someone who could do something, because of the character of the site. There are definitely ways we can fight back against them, or just perceive what they are before hand.
My main point is that I do not believe it is the site itself that is doing this. First of all, I have never ever been contacted by a fake profile. This might be because I keep my profile hidden from search. Which I recommend everyone do, especially anyone who wants to keep on the down low. I see a new profile, it is appealing in some ways but it also raises red flags. If I favorite it or message it, I may find out shortly it is fake and then block it. I also note that each and every time I deactivate my profile, which I do whenever I am without a paid membership, I am asked to give a reason. I have started checking 'too many fake profiles' every time. So, it does not make sense to me that the site is putting up fake profiles and then asking users if this is pissing us off.
I have no idea how you would get facts that would tell you that the seeking site itself is setting up fake profiles to tease users into keeping their membership going. But as I said, if you have them, bring it on. In the absence of such facts, the Occam's Razor argument is that the fake profiles are from guys in an internet cafe in Bulgaria or Timbuktu. Edu", meaning to me Boston University. So I search for that, I had no difficulty locating the woman. Full name, etc. IDK why she is around here for now.
This just goes to show the power of facial recognition, and how someone can get your personal info without paying, even though that PimEyes site is paywalled. I have requested they remove all of the hits to my own photos, but after they said they did that, I could still find 3 hits. I then sent them a message with a screenshot of those 3 hits, and said all the things you are supposed to say. In California, I can request that no one sell my personal information if I don't want them to, etc. They acknowledged receipt, we'll see how quickly this actually happens.
If it does, well that takes care of PimEyes, but it doesn't deal with any other sites. There is an app you can get, called Fawkes, that FS-up any photos you put online so they can't be used as the basis of facial recognition. This works prospectively, but not retrospectively.

1. Criteria is max 30 miles away.

And indeed, my most common action is to simply block the profile and move on. OF and similar sites, Chaturbate and similar sites, ManyVids and similar sites or as my longest term SB/GF has discovered (being an online Domme). Thoughts?I have fallen to maybe zero actual scammers on seeking in like 15 years. Time wasters, GPS, flakey, etc? Sure plenty of them. If you stay away from girls that have years old profiles, look like blow up dolls, have escorty looking pics, and other red flags you will probably be OK. I did this for a long time on the Cincinnati SB thread. I could find a dozen or more scammers a week in our area. I disagree with our guru, HG, on the percent scammers - at least for my area. (I think he doesn't see a lot of them because they are not in his preferred demographic.) I am currently banned from Seeking and taking a break. I never reported any of them to the site. You have to keep in mind that the site LIKES having the scammers there. The scammers are a useful source of hot new profiles. Yes, they ban them after a few weeks. - in order to force them to make new profiles. However, they could easily block them 'ab initio' if they wanted to keep them out.
Next, there are always a few dicks who either simp to the scammers or taunt the scammers by telling them they are on the list. In my case, the scammer figured out who I was and the scammers started a campaign of reporting ME in retaliation. I was always careful about the site TOS but it is impossible to approach multiple profiles without some similarity in language. They got me for "spamming. "
I still keep a list but I much more careful about who I post online. I don't see how you can use a fake name. I rarely rarely ever get the room, but if I did, I use my middle name as my first name, for the reservation etc. The front desk usually does a very perfunctory look at the DL, but still, you have to have it. I don't go to chains where I have a frequent stay account. I much prefer using apps that give you rooms at quite discounted rates.
I also much prefer having the SB get the room, and I give them cash to cover in addition to their sugar. Many will do this. Only the really young ones who don't have credit cards would not be able. You can check in w / a debit card, but only if it has been issued to you. No prepaids.
